I really wish A03 allowed for kudos per chapter, because if you have a multi-chapter fic, and say you have about 12 readers who return to read each new chapter, the ratio between hits, and kudos can get real out of wack.

This is where I prefer Wattpad’s system although it is also flawed because it requires an account to vote and comment while A03 you can leave kudos and comments as a guest.

#I also don't understand this over hyping of Ao3 and bashing of Wattpad #like both contain so much fucking trash #like I get the business models are different- Ao3 is basically a nonprofit while Wattpad I believe is for profit site?#which brings in their own issues I am well aware #what I mean is some folks treat Ao3 as flawless when it is absolutely not and folks in fandom wanting to improve it so handle harassment #racism or other stuff within Ao3 are treated like monsters wanting censorship...#I know all about the fanfic purges I've been online since 2004 #just Ao3 isn't perfect and the folks running it aren't shielded from criticism
