Mini rant: Reposting favourites from Ep 3-4. I literally can not take anyone seriously who says that Kang Gil Young is not vital to the resolution of the plot - especially in Ep 3-4 - at all. Not liking a character is one thing, but not getting the gist of the storyline and plot? There is no meeting point for anything. We are watching a different show. (The joke’s on me for engaging with people with such takes).

the way suzanne collins potrayed black characters that are usually perceived as agressive/angry or brutish (reaper, chaff, thresh) and all made them loving, generous and sacrificial in several ways, along with their district? i think about it a lot, and how so much good comes from such an overlooked district, and often overlooked people.
