(monologue prompt)
The CEO of a mega corporation, monologues to his older brother and the party of adventures that he (as in his brother) gathered across the multiverse to fight a greater evil, and points out all of his flaws. The Party tries to speak against the accusations, before the CEO rants about how his brother, the party leader, had attacked him with a butchers knife, and left him to die after the house that their family lived in had blown up, all because his younger brother had calmly asked him to train his puppy.
(An Oddly Specific prompt. But lets give it a go)
The CEO walked into the Boardroom that His brother and his team were sitting in. The Elder brother looked happy to see his successful sibling.
"Brother thank you for making the time to meet with us. I am in need of your assistance we need..."
"Let me guess, you need my help to fix one of your messes." The CEO interrupted, clearly unamused.
"Not our mess, there is a great evil planning to wipe out the multiverse! And we were told you would be able to help us get the materials we need to create the Matter destabilizer." One of the Party members spoke up. To the CEO this one appeared to be the brains of the team.
The CEO sighs.
"No. I am done. You can go get the materials for your Matter whatever another way."
"Brother please. I know you have the materials in one of your Company's Labs. We just need to get in and out. Its for the sake of the universe." His brother pleaded.
"Get out of here John, " The CEO says coldly. "I told you I am finished with your crap."
"Victor... Brother. Its for the fate of the Universe."
Victor had heard enough.
"No, stop your crap. I told you I am done John. I am so sick of you bringing me into your exaggerated bullshit! Do you know how often I cleaned up after your messes! You are a careless Man-child that will chase the shiniest object without a care for who gets hurt!"
John's expression showed the hurt that his brother inflicted
Though it seems his team was not willing to take the slander on their comrade.
"Hey, you dont know him! He has saved us dozens of times. He has helped each of us and we owe him far more than what you would think. John is a hero and you shouldnt talk to your brother in such a way."
Victor looked in the direction of the teammate.
"Oh has he? He saved you dozens of times? Let me guess, did those times he "Saved the day" often involve him trying to get something and it backfiring? Or Maybe it was a misunderstanding that He needed to clear up because of his incompetence?"
The Team looked ready to speak but stopped, situations kept popping into their heads only for the idea to fizzle into one of the two scenarios Victor had mentioned.
"At best he was doing damage control over his own mistakes! John handles stress as well as a Landmine!"
"Victor that isnt true!" John spoke up. Now feeling angry and frustrated with his brother's comments.
"May I remind you of the Dog sitting incident?"
"That was over 10 years ago, let it go."
"All I asked you to do was help train our new puppy. That was all, and what do you think happened?" Victor asked as he looked to the John's team.
"The puppy got hurt?"
"The puppy didnt learn?"
"The puppy ran away?"
"All reasonable guesses but no." Victor responded. He was clearly building to the ending.
"Victor it was 10 years ago."
"You attacked me with a KITCHEN KNIFE AND DESTROYED THE BOILER TO OUR HOUSE! THE HOUSE EXPLODED JOHN! YOU DESTROYED OUR HOUSE AND YOU NEARLY KILLED US ALL OVER POTTY TRAINING A FUCKING PUPPY!"
The entire room went silent. Until one of his team spoke up.
"John, did that really happen?"
John looked at his comrade.
"There is some missing context..."
"Damn it John."
"John what the hell?"
Victor sighed.
"Now, if your team needs my lab, then I will provide it. But John, you are not allowed anywhere near it, and after this is over. I never want to see you again."
Victor walked to leave the board room.
"Is that Clear John?"
John looked down on the floor.
"Yes... Vic."

Kirsten Carmichael refused entry to York Hospital with hearing dog
New Post has been published on https://petnews2day.com/pet-industry-news/pet-charities/kirsten-carmichael-refused-entry-to-york-hospital-with-hearing-dog/
Kirsten Carmichael refused entry to York Hospital with hearing dog
A woman who lost her hearing in both ears said she felt like “a third class citizen” after York Hospital staff refused to let her into part of the hospital with her hearing dog.
Kirsten Carmichael told hospital bosses she’d been left “devastated” following a series of distressing experiences during visits to the hospital with her “guardian angel”, Pickle the cockerpoo.
Before the recent birth of her daughter, Kirsten, 38, was promised a special care plan which would have seen her given a room alone with Pickle, but this didn’t happen.
Not long after the birth, Kirsten, her husband Matt and Pickle returned to the hospital because her daughter was unwell, but the family had to separate as a receptionist told them dogs were not allowed.
The Equality Act 2010 makes it unlawful to refuse access to a disabled person accompanied by an assistance dog except in the most exceptional circumstances.
Kirsten, who lives in Selby, was forced to sit in the car with Pickle until the early hours of the morning while her husband stayed in the emergency department with their daughter.
York Hospital
Speaking at a board meeting of the York and Scarborough Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Kirsten said: “I was crying my eyes out in the car being isolated and having cuddles with my hearing dog because I was devastated that I couldn’t be there for my daughter. It’s just heartbreaking because I needed to be with her.
“I don’t have to put [Pickle] through that because she’s a set of ears for me. She’s worth a million of anybody to me, but so is my daughter, and nobody should be made to choose between getting treatment or your service dog.”
Kirsten suffers from Ménière’s disease and completely lost her hearing in both ears in 2016. She adopted trained hearing dog Pickle in 2018.
“I rely on her 24 hours a day – she’s been there for me and saved my life,” Kirsten said.
The family hit the headlines last year after Pickle woke Kirsten up to alert her that smoke was filling their house during a fire next door.
Kirsten said she’d had no problems with Pickle at the hospital in her home city of Birmingham, but knew of friends with service dogs who had had similar experiences at York.
She has had negative experiences in several departments and said she felt there was a cultural issue across the hospital. Some staff have also refused to remove their masks to speak to Kirsten despite the fact she needs to be able to lip read.
Chairman Alan Downey apologised on behalf of the trust, adding: “Saying sorry is meaningless if it’s not followed up by meaningful change.”
Signs have since been put up in the emergency department and the hospital will be communicating with its staff about the rules around service dogs.
Mr Downey said: “We’ve had a number of patient stories over the last few months with a common theme, which is that it’s not specifically about dogs or about a particular disability, but the common theme is about being kind and being caring and looking after our patients in the right way – and I think that is something as a board we will want to reflect on.”

The Splash Zone - Tsukishima x Reader (Oneshot)
Jurassic World! AUPairing: Son of Park CEO!Tsukishima Kei x Mosasaur Trainer!Reader
- Word Count: ~9,000
- Genres: Fluff, angst
- CW: Mentions of death, objectification of main character, sexual harassment-
Mango’s Introduction: Tsukishima the younger is a bit… prickly. Don’t say that to his face, obviously, because he’s technically your boss, but for all his personality flaws, he’s definitely excellent at his job and he cares more about the people around him than he lets on. He’s snarky with that mosasaur trainer more than anyone else, but you can tell he’s sweet on her. I guess you could call it the adult equivalent of pulling a girl’s pigtails on the playground. Uh, don’t tell him I said that, he’s my boss too.
(A/N: For all of you who were interested in this series, y'all waited nearly a year for less than 10,000 words, and I apologize, haha. It's been sitting 95% finished all that time, but I moved onto some other projects because I wasn't confident in my writing abilities. After a year's worth of writing exercises via different projects, I'm now okay with putting this out for all of you. I hope my next few projects (AoT and KnY) knock your socks off, but for now, here's a little journey about following your own convictions, featuring our favorite salty blonde.)
Tsukishima had it all. Money, looks, brains, and sure, his personality could use a little work, but he wasn’t completely insufferable. Most of the time. But if you asked him, his sour attitude was hardly his fault. After all, he was the heir to a multi-trillion dollar theme park, so it’s not like there were any consequences for him talking to people the way he does. For all he cared, he could be as snarky as he liked, considering he didn’t work with many people that were willing to speak their mind to him.
“Bite me, Tsukki.”
Well, except for a certain mosasaur trainer that was really grating on his nerves. Said trainer sat across from him from her seat in his office, arms crossed and jaw tense. Tsukishima tapped his fingers on his desk.
“Are you done throwing a tantrum like a six-year-old?” he asked. (Y/N)’s hands balled in her lap. She kept her mouth shut, glowering at the desk in front of her to keep her temper under wraps.
The blonde rolled his eyes. About fifteen minutes ago, he watched her kick in the door to the employee lounge and make her way over to the mosasaur staff supervisor. All eyes were on her as she moved towards him with murderous intent rolling off of her in waves. While (Y/N) was the one with the most control over the aquatic dinosaur itself, the supervisor was the one who hired staff, had them trained, made their schedules, and completed the other overall administrative duties. Their position was a catch-all and they were meant to do the primary inspections that made the mosasaur shows run properly.
Company policy encouraged open communication between colleagues, of course. Jurassic World Theme Park prided itself on proficient employee cooperation, as per the employee handbook and what the marketing team insists they say. Tsukishima just wished (Y/N) had opened her statement with something a smidge more polite than, “Are there any grooves in your fucking brain or is it all just smooth in there?”
After that hell of a conversation starter, she and the supervisor verbally ripped into each other. If Kei hadn’t grabbed (Y/N) by the windbreaker and dragged her into his office, he wouldn’t have been surprised if they ended up ripping into each other physically, too. To her credit, (Y/N) most definitely won, but that would have been a bigger pain in his ass.
“(Y/N), you can’t speak like that to people you work with. I heard what you said about him keeping an eye on his interns, and that’s his business, not yours,” he sighed. It was too early for this crap, especially since his assistant called in sick and hadn’t made him his morning coffee, and there were a million things to do in preparation for the board meeting today. He had better things to do than settle this stupid argument.
(Y/N) looked at him with disbelief, “You think I went in there to yell at him for fun? You have no idea what happened, Kei, how are you already taking his side?”
Tsukishima looked into her fiery gaze for a moment. He leaned back, brushing down the front of his navy blue button-down.
“You know that’s not what I meant.”
“But it’s what you said,” she shot back.
He pursed his lips. “Alright, I’m sorry,” he muttered.
(Y/N)’s mouth dropped for a moment, then the corner quirked up ever-so-slightly, “What was that, Tsukki?”
“Just explain before I lose my patience,” he snapped. His ears felt hot.
She laughed, “Because you’re the picture of patience right now.”
“(Y/N).”
Although the anger in her posture returned, she was able to remain more composed than she had earlier.
“One of the interns came up to me about an hour ago to ask me about the coding for the hydraulic lift.” (Y/N) threw her hands up and leaned back in her chair, as if that was the answer to everything.
“I’ll need some more details than that.”
She groaned in frustration, “There’s the mosasaur tank and the stadium
surrounding it, yeah? And partway through the show, the hydraulic lift lowers the stadium to the underground viewing area, right? Well, for all that to happen, the codes on the control panel have to be specific,” her hands moved fervently as she got deeper into her explanation. “The codes never change, but every morning, the supervisor makes sure they’re correct and I double check before the show. If the codes are incorrect, the stadium might lift too fast, too slow, too much, or not at all.”
Kei nodded for her to continue, to which she gave a grateful nod before going back into rant mode.
“Interns don’t have clearance into that area. He gave her his fucking badge so she could go in and do the checks without him. She shouldn’t have been down there and she definitely shouldn’t have been checking the control panel. Look,” she ran a hand through her hair, “I don’t want to tell the guy how to do his job. If he wants to train the interns how to run the control panel, then fine, it’s not in my job description to police that. But that brand-new, inexperienced, fresh-out-of-college kid was all by herself down there doing that idiot’s job. She could have gotten hurt. She could have gotten other people hurt. It was her supervisor’s job to train her better and to take better care of his interns and if I don’t raise hell about this kind of stuff now, then who will? So fuck that guy, he deserved to get yelled at.”
(Y/N) heaved herself out of her chair, “And now that everyone thinks I’m a raving lunatic, I’m going back to my office to change. Try not to need me.”
~~
As the son of the owner of Jurassic World Theme Park, Tsukishima Kei was raised to do two things: work with dinosaurs and obey his father. When he was younger, he thought he would get to work with the dinosaurs as a trainer, regulate their feeding schedules, train them, and educate the masses about the wonders of science. But he was wrong. The future his father had in store for him involved dinosaurs, yes, but more along the lines of determining the cost of developing a new dinosaur or what characteristics are interesting to the general public so that the park can turn a profit.
Several years ago, when his father originally had her brought to the island, Kei had been skeptical. Out of all the candidates for the mosasaur trainer, (Y/N) had been particularly young, but for some reason, his father was insistent that the new mosasaur trainer be her. (Y/N) later proved and continued to prove that she wasn’t just qualified, but born to work with the mosasaur, Dolly, she called her. She cared for her with a deep passion that transcended interspecies boundaries.
(Y/N) was amazing at her job, and it was unfair of Tsukishima not to hear her out initially. There was a fine line between teasing as a result of mutual pining and just being a dick, and it seemed like Kei had crossed that line.
(Y/N) knew he was coming. That was one of the things she really appreciated about Tsukishima. He was a snarky asshole who liked to rile her up, and in the beginning, he was garbage at apologies, but over time, they’d apologized to each other so often that he no longer dragged ass over it. Once he realized he was in the wrong, he would find her immediately.
Tsukishima let himself into (Y/N)’s office, where he found her and the raptor trainer in deep conversation.
“Kei! Seriously, I could’ve been changing!” she yelled. She’d told him a million times to knock before coming in, but he rarely listened.
“Don’t worry, even if you were, there’s nothing to see,” he said teasingly.
(Y/N) scowled, “You wouldn’t know.”
Tsukishima scoffed.
“Anyway, Hajime, what else did that guy say?” (Y/N) said.
Kei frowned at the two cups from Tiki Smoothie in front of them. He wondered if Iwaizumi had brought her one as a surprise or if she’d asked him to bring her one. Both possibilities put him in a bad mood. Supposedly, they were just close friends, but (Y/N) forced him to watch enough Hallmark movies for him to know the friends-to-lovers trope quite well. It ranked just below childhood friends-to-lovers and just above enemies-to-lovers. He must have been staring at those cups for some time, because by the time he zoned back in, Iwaizumi had already finished his explanation.
“--train the raptors for the battlefield,” Iwaizumi finished.
(Y/N) raised an irritated brow, “Like dogs?”
The raptor trainer shrugged, “Apparently.”
“Did you tell him that’s not how raptors work?” she asked.
“I didn’t bother. He-- Sorry,” Iwaizumi fished his ringing flip phone from his vest pocket. “I gotta go, (Y/N), I’ll tell you more at dinner later,” he said on his way out the door.
“Okay, but I wanna hear about your thing with that pretty P.O. Manager later!”
The taller man stopped and gripped the door frame in surprise.
“Wha-- There’s no ‘thing’!” Iwaizumi sputtered.
“Whatever keeps your blood pressure normal."
As (Y/N) waved her friend off, Tsukishima rested his weight on the back of the vacated chair.
“What was that all about?”
(Y/N) sighed, making her way over to the wardrobe next to the door.
“Some military guy had a talk with Hajime about using the raptors for war. He said they’re better than drones because they’re not hackable and blah blah blah.”
“Does he realize that-- what are you doing?!” Tsukishima choked when (Y/N) dropped her loose gym shorts. Underneath, she wore plain navy blue bikini bottoms.
“Relax, Kei, you’re the one who invited yourself into my office. Besides, it’s not like you haven’t seen a girl’s bare legs, right?” she teased as she stepped into her dive skin. The tall young man moved to sit behind the desk. Forcing down his blush, he took on a snarky tone once again.
“Obviously. I didn’t think you had time for that kind of thing, since you’ve been cooped up with Darby for the last few years.”
(Y/N) shook her wetsuit at him, “Her name is Dolly! It’s always been Dolly and you know it, you little shit!”
“Language, (Y/N),” he smirked. What would my father say if he knew you spoke to me like that?”
“Oh, trust me, Malfoy, your father knows exactly how I speak to you, and he couldn't care less,” she snarked, looking pleased with herself..
The teasing glint in Tsukishima’s eyes wavered at the comment, though he knew they shouldn’t have. ‘Don’t dish it if you can’t take it’ he always said. He knew his father loved him the way any man loves his son, but Kei’s rank in his father’s heart in relation to money had always been questionable.
“Sorry. Too much,” (Y/N) said quietly. She pulled up her dive skin and removed her windbreaker, revealing a matching bikini top.
“It’s not your fault,” the blonde mumbled back. (Y/N) made her way around the desk. Leaning her weight on the edge facing him, she said, “Really, I’m sorry. That was in bad taste.”
Tsukishima waved dismissively, “It’s fine, you didn’t mean it. Just caught me off guard… Actually, I came to apologize to you for earlier.”
She grimaced, “I’m sorry for freaking out so hard. I didn’t mean to make trouble for you the same day as a shareholders’ meeting.”
“You’d be okay with making trouble for me normally?”
“That a serious question?”
With a light chuckle he said, “Right, right. It’s fine... I’m sorry for not
hearing you out. For what it’s worth, that guy is as good as fired.”
“Fired!?” she yelped, making him jump. “Wait, you can’t fire him!”
“Actually, I can--”
“Fine. As his boss, you legally could fire him, but I’m saying don’t. One, we can easily get him to clean up his act. Two, his wife is preggers. Gregnant. Pregante.”
“I got it the first time.”
“Just making sure.”
Tsukishima huffed, holding back a smile, “Worrying about someone whose head you were about to bite off two hours ago. That’s just like you.”
There was a gentle knock at the door and Yamaguchi, a paleo-veterinary intern, poked his head through the doorway.
“(Y/N), are you ready for the show? We have 20 minutes until start time,” he informed her with a sweet smile.
“Yup!” She stuffed her arms through the tight neoprene sleeves, “Are you the specialist on standby this time, Yama?”
The shorter girl turned around and moved her hair to the side in a silent request. Standing to his full height, Tsukishima pinched the sides of her zipper with one hand and pulled the tab up with.
Yamaguchi couldn’t help but laugh. His two friends stopped, (Y/N) with her hands holding up her hair, Tsukishima with his hands tugging on her suit zipper.
“What’s so funny?” his childhood friend asked. Yamaguchi just shook his head and confirmed that, yes, he would be on medical standby for the upcoming show.
“Close the door when you leave, okay, Tsukki?” (Y/N) shot over her shoulder on the way out.
“Good luck with your show,” he said simply. She frowned in confusion. Before she could comment, Yamaguchi rushed her out the door.
~~
“--near the surface of the water, where it preyed on anything it could sink its teeth into, including turtles, small fish, even smaller mosasaurs, but don’t worry, that’s not why Dolly here doesn’t have any siblings.”
The crowd chuckled. Tsukishima always enjoyed when (Y/N) did the demonstrations herself. The guides did the jobs they were contracted to do, and maybe it was that he already knew how much she loved Dolly, but whenever (Y/N) did it, it always felt less like a show and more like the introduction of a close friend of hers. That was the truth, after all.
“You see, when Dolly was born, I was the first thing she saw. This caused something called imprinting, and if I just made you think about that freaky Twilight baby, I’m so sorry.”
Another wave of laughter rippled through the crowd. “And what that means is, Dolly and I share a special bond. She feels a special connection to me that she doesn’t feel for any other creature on this planet. When she was growing up, we communicated with this,” she held up a silver whistle.
“You can’t hear these sounds, but Dolly can. She knows the sound of the whistle, and that makes her think, ‘Oh, that’s my handler! Yay, she’s gonna feed me!’ Which is something I thought whenever my mom called my name during my teenage years.”
“She’s entertaining, isn’t she?” one of his father’s associates commented. Rather than sitting in the wide open arena seats under the beating sun, Kei’s father, the elder Tsukishima, sat up in an air-conditioned glass box high above the regular seats. Today, a group of shareholders and potential investors were performing their monthly assessment of the park’s assets. After going to every single one of these meetings since he was twelve, Tsukishima was more or less used to these meetings, but he was getting irked by the way a particularly sweaty, sleazy-looking businessman two and a half times his age was staring not at the tank itself, but at the trainer on the platform above it. If it weren’t for his father, he would have nastily told all of them to never take even a single breath in her direction.
“The girl’s gotten real grown up since we first saw her,” the man said, rubbing his chin.
‘Don’t look at her like that,’ Kei growled internally.
“Good eye, Yamada-san. She just turned twenty-one,” his father replied.
‘But that doesn’t concern you,’ Kei thought.
“Really? She looks young, but she seems so mature for her age,” another dirty businessman observed.
“You always did like the young-looking ones, you creepy old man!” laughed Yamada. Tsukishima bit down on his tongue so hard he had to remind himself not to bite it off.
“Ah, yes, I took her age into account from the get-go,” Tsukishima-san said. “By nature, the mosasaurus would only accept one trainer, and I brought her to the island at such a young and impressionable age that she would only listen to me.”
“And then you have a safe way to control the dinosaur,” one of the shareholders concluded.
“Exactly. And you’re right, Yamada-san, she’s grown up to be quite attractive. Shame she ended up so strong-willed, else she might have made a quality match for my son. Perhaps if Kei here can reel her in, he’ll make a wife out of her yet, right, son?”
The younger Tsukishima’s skin crawled as every pair of eyes in the room landed on him. He could just imagine opening his mouth and ripping them all a new one. What would Yamada say if he called him out on his predatory behavior? Or he could say, ‘Ah, Mr. Kawasaki, how’s that custody battle with your wife going? I hear she’s winning because the kids would rather live with her. Oh, Chairman Yang, I didn’t see you there! Have you beaten that nasty gambling addiction of yours? Goodness, from the looks of those eye bags and how badly your ‘designer’ suit is frayed, my guess is no.”
But Kei can’t say any of those things. He has too much to lose, should he compromise his position as his father’s heir and future CEO. The blonde glanced briefly out the window at the smiling girl talking animatedly about her most treasured friend. He mentally sends her an apology for being unable to defend her yet again.
Kei grit his teeth and finally replies.
“Yes, father.”
If he were born as anyone else, he could romance her properly, instead of passing glances, not-so-subtle flirting, and raging sexual tension. They wouldn’t have had to play the whole ‘will we or won’t we?’ schtick. But he was still Tsukishima Kei. He was destined to take over his father’s company, and by design, his partner would have to attend board meetings and brunches and wine and cheese parties. Kei had no desire to drag (Y/N) into that kind of life, but what’s more, (Y/N) would never agree to it. At one time, he considered asking her about it. Ask her to consider making that sacrifice for him. But at the end of the day, he never did bring it up to her because he was scared of the answer he’d receive.
Her enthusiastic voice faded back into his consciousness, “Enough of me talking. Is everyone ready to meet Dolly?”
They all turned back to the window at the sound of (Y/N)’s voice.
The crowd cheered in affirmation.
“What was that? I can’t hear you?”
The cheers transitioned into a deafening roar.
“Alright, for those of you in the splash zone, expect to get soaked in about ten seconds and counting.”
(Y/N) pressed a button, and the feeder crane slowly moved to dangle a heavy shark over the mosasaurus tank. The trainer leaned against her platform’s railing. She put the whistle to her lips, but no one heard any sound.
“You hungry, girl?” she asked the tank. There was no prior indication of any movement before the leviathan reptilian dinosaur leapt out of the water and easily snatched up its prey with its rows of hundreds of teeth. Its great mass seemed to linger midair for what felt like forever before sliding back into the water with a giant splash that had the crowd squealing with delight.
“Hold on tight,” (Y/N) spoke up as the stands started lowering under the stadium, “We’re gonna get to take a little closer look at our girl, Dolly the Mosasaurus.”
~~
“How was your meeting?” (Y/N) asked upon her arrival in Tsukishima’s own office, finally free of her restricting wetsuit and hair still wet from her shower. Not looking up from his paperwork, the blonde grunted, “Fine.”
(Y/N) smiled and sat on the edge of the desk beside him. Both hands came up to zip her windbreaker.
“That bad, huh?”
“You sit in a glass box for 45 minutes with a group of men over fifty, and tell me you had fun,” he grumbled. Giving him a sympathetic look, she slid off the desk to place her hands on his shoulders. She gently massaged the tension from them. Lately, Tsukishima Senior had been giving his son more responsibility to “prepare him to take over the company,” which would have been a more believable excuse if the older man wasn’t relaxing by the pool and golfing with his friends 4 days a week. Kei leaned into her touch.
‘You are nothing like your father, though, Kei,’ she internally mused. Dragging her hands down from his shoulders to clasp in front of him, she hugged him from behind. Soothed by her presence, he wondered if he even needed to tell her how he felt about her. It seemed like she already suspected. Though, if she already knew and wasn’t saying anything, what exactly were her feelings on the matter?
“Today was so tiring, Tsukki,” she rested her chin on top of his blonde head. “This family was asking me questions, but their two irritating ass kids kept climbing on the primary railings, and the mom got mad at me when I told them to knock it off! Like, do you want your kids to get chomped by a genetically engineered dinosaur, Brenda? Then, she asked for my manager, and I’m like, ‘Bitch, I will literally throw you in the damn tank! There, that’s my manager, you entitled piece of-- ughhh!!” (Y/N) buried her face in Tsukishima’s shoulder in frustration. “I hate customer service! Fuck her! Fuck them kids!”
“You said that to her?” he teased. Secretly, he was happy that she was tired today. A Tired (Y/N) meant a Sweet (Y/N), and after those creeps were leering at her in the box today, he was just glad she was somewhere he could keep an eye on her.
“Suck my dick, Kei, you know I wouldn’t actually say that. I still enjoy getting paychecks,” her words were muffled by his shoulder. ‘Sweet’ is a relative term for her.
“I’d pay good money to see you cuss someone out.”
“You would, wouldn’t you,” she replied.
Tsukishima desperately wanted to tell her how he felt. It was getting really irritating that they could do stuff like this, but he couldn’t tell those sweaty old men in the box today to keep their perverted stares off of her.
Tentatively, he turned his head towards her, lips ghosting along her jawline. His heart sped up as her fingers tightened into his dress shirt.
When his arm slid around her waist, she was like putty in his hands.
“You-- You’re kinda giving me mixed signals here, Kei,” she said breathlessly. The taller male placed his forehead against hers. His eyes stared down at her lips as he debated the long-term consequences of giving into his desires.
“I know,” he murmured. “I’m sorry.”
(Y/N) brought her hand up to cup his face. They both leaned in slowly, as if moving any faster would ruin the tension.
“Don’t be…” she whispered.
The office door slammed open with a bang.
“Sir?” (Y/N) jumped back from him like she’d been burned.
“What?” he snapped at the intruder.
“Your father wants you and Miss (L/N) in a meeting right away.”
~~
“Tsukishima-san, I don’t see why--”
“Of course you don’t, (Y/N),” Kei’s father cut her off, “You have a personal connection with the animal. That was the one oversight I made when I brought you to the island as a trainer.”
They sat in a boardroom, surrounding a large table with Tsukishima senior at one end, (Y/N) at the other, and the board members on either side. The blazing sunlight of Isla Nublar that shone in through the large floor-to-ceiling windows on the far side of the room contrasted heavily with the dark tension permeating throughout the room. Kei tapped his fingers against the table from his spot on his father’s right side.
Of all the ‘strategic investments’ his father made, this was definitely not one Kei could have predicted.
The girl took a deep breath, “With all due respect, sir, it can’t be a good idea to reinvent a new species of mosasaur. I think--”
“See, that’s the problem, sweetheart,” the sweaty man from before chimed in. “You’re not here to think, you’re here to look pretty, and to tell the dinosaur what to do.”
“I don’t appreciate your tone, Yamada.”
“I don’t appreciate your attitude, little girl,” he shot back.
Tsukishima Senior cut in, “Try to understand, (Y/N). The Indominus Rex has been a huge hit. The numbers say that these new hybrid dinosaurs are the next big thing. We can’t pass up an astronomical amount of money just so you can keep your pet.”
“My pet?” (Y/N) spat.
“Now, (Y/N), there’s no need to get hysterical.”
“Hysterical? My reaction is perfectly reasonable considering you want to euthanize the creature I’ve raised since birth, which, may I remind you, is something you people wanted me to do.”
“Doctor Wu and the rest of the genetics team is already engineering the genetics for a new mosasaur. Bigger, more teeth--”
“But they couldn’t engineer any more brain cells for all of you?!” she interjected.
“That’s enough!” CEO Tsukishima slammed his hand on the meeting table. “You’re like a daughter to me, (Y/N), but I won’t take this level of disrespect from you.”
(Y/N) rested her hands atop the table and leaned in, meeting his glare head-on.
“If you want to do anything to Dolly, you’ll need my help, and I will not do anything that can compromise her.”
“What a mouthy little thing,” one of the shareholders muttered.
“Give her to me, I’ll shut her up,” another said loudly enough for everyone to hear.
Tsukishima took a deep, stabilizing breath from beside his father.
“I chose you because I saw something in you. I never expected you to be this selfish,” the elder snapped, “You’re being unreasonable. Kei is barely older than you, and he understands that there’s profit to be made by replacing the damn dinosaur. Tell her, Kei.”
The room went silent. (Y/N) stared deeply into her friend’s golden brown eyes.
‘Don’t do this, Kei. They want you to become your father, but you are not your father. You are so much more.’
The younger Tsukishima felt like he was being crushed by an incredible weight. Whatever he did now, it would be nearly impossible to take back. If he chose her, his father may never forgive him. The problem was: If he chose his place as his father’s heir, would he ruin his relationship with (Y/N) forever? Which one of them could he live without? He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before opening them. His steady gaze met with (Y/N)’s intense stare. He hoped he sounded more sure than he felt.
“Yes, (Y/N). My father’s right.”
(Y/N) first looked surprised, then immensely disappointed. Realizing there was no one on her side, she sighed.
“I came to this island because I thought this company might be different. When you asked me to train the mosasaurus from birth, I was overjoyed at how much you cared for her development,” she made sure to stare into the soul of each and every dirty scoundrel in the room. “But I made a mistake, too. All of you are cowards. Selfish, soulless, money-grubbing cowards.” Blazing eyes finally landed on Kei’s wide golden brown ones. She aimed her final statement at him.
“Every last one of you.”
Kei’s heart squeezed so hard he thought his chest would collapse.
“Tsukishima-san!” a mousey-looking secretary burst into the boardroom. CEO Tsukishima clicked his tongue in annoyance.
“What is it now?” he snapped.
“It’s the Indominus! She’s escaped!”
Deafening alarms and flashing red lights resounded throughout the control room. Kei could barely hear his father barking orders to the security team. One of the technicians pulled up a giant map of the park on the main screen.
“She’s still on the outer edges of the park, but she’s moving fast, sir,” they said.
“Have the Asset Containment Unit get this thing under control. Make sure they use non-lethals.”
“Non-lethals!” (Y/N) yelled, outraged.
“We have 26 million dollars invested in that asset,” the elder Tsukishima growled.
Exasperated, (Y/N) threw her hands in the air. She avoided Kei’s eyes as she
turned and sprinted out of the control room.
Kei hesitated. Before he could chase after her, his father ordered him to stay put to help in the control room. Though it made him feel like he wanted to vomit, he obeyed.
Several hours passed and Tsukishima’s mind felt like it was at its breaking point. The monitors flashing red in the dimly lit control room strained his eyes to the point where he was convinced he’d need a stronger prescription after this. The beeping of the ACU team’s EKG monitors flatlining rang in his ears so loud he wished he would just go deaf. The Indominus was picking off their security team with ease, sometimes several members at a time. The young man rubbed at his temples.
“Tsukishima, we’re evacuating the rides on the outer edges at the park,” the lead Park Operations Assistant slid a map over to him. Taking a red marker, she circled a few attractions directly in the escaped dinosaur’s projected path.
“But I think these preparations insufficient,” she said, nervously twisting
the pen in her grip.
“We’d evacuate the whole park if it were up to me,” Tsukishima said under
his breath.
The assistant pursed her lips, “It’s a shame we’ll definitely be shut down
after this. You would have made a great CEO.”
“Are you flirting with me?” the blonde joked.
“Please, you’re so whipped for (Y/N) it hurts to look at you,” the assistant snorted in reply.
Before Tsukishima could make a snarky retort, both of their attentions were drawn to CEO Tsukishima, who had a large, middle aged man at his side.
“Kei, come over here!” the older man called.
Tsukishima handed the map back over to the assistant, “This is fine for now. If the situation escalates or if it doesn’t improve in an hour or so, close all the attractions on the west side of the park. I’ll be right back.”
The assistant grabbed his arm, “Tsukishima, that’s Vic Hoskins, the head of the private security force.”
“My father introduced us not long ago. What about him?”
“Commander Hoskins isn’t just a brute, he’s an ignorant one, and that makes him dangerous. If your father is listening to him, be careful.”
Tsukishima nodded gratefully.
“I will. I’ll be right back.”
He didn’t wait for the assistant’s reply before making his way to his father’s side, who pulled him off to the side. Hoskins had apparently taken his leave.
“The helicopter will be here in 10 minutes, make sure you’re at the helipad by then,” he told his son.
The younger Tsukishima’s eyes widened.
“What? Where are we going?” he asked.
His father turned to him, “Commander Hoskins has strongly advised us to get off the island. We can do our part in containing this crisis remotely.”
The younger man blanched, “We’re just going to leave? We still have people to evacuate, not to mention medical teams to coordinate, personnel to--”
CEO Tsukishima placed a hand on his son’s shoulder, “We can do all of these things remotely. Our first priority is maintaining our safety, and besides, the situation is in good hands with our employees here. It’s as good as contained.”
The CEO smiled and turned to leave. Kei didn’t move.
“Come on, Kei,” the older man urged.
Tsukishima took a deep breath.
“If the situation is ‘as good as contained,’ then why are we leaving the island?” he asked.
His father sighed, “I understand your concern, Kei, this is a safety issue--”
“So, you agree? You do think that evacuation is the correct safety measure?” Kei looked his father directly in his familiar amber eyes.
The elder shifted, “What are you implying, Kei?”
“I’m saying as long as we choose not to actively evacuate the island, we have a responsibility to our employees and to our guests to stay and control the situation the best we can.”
The flatlining EKG monitors were still ringing in his ears. If he left the island now, he’d never stop hearing the beeping of those monitors. They’d exist in his nightmares forever.
“Stay here, then, Kei,” his father’s voice broke him out of his thoughts.
He raised a brow, “Just me?”
“There’s no point to being in power if you refuse to reap the benefits of it. The helicopter is leaving soon. Join me, Kei. Don’t try to play hero when you’re not.”
(Y/N)’s face flashed in his mind. He couldn’t be sure where she ran off to after she left, but if he had to guess, it would have been to the main hall or to the infirmary to care for guests. Either way, she’d never dream of leaving the island with so much at stake. Neither could he, and the thought of leaving her behind made his answer clear.
“No, I’m not going. Have a safe flight.” He turned on his heel and marched back to the central console. To his horror, Asset Containment Unit Alpha had been almost entirely wiped out. Only 4 members of a 12-person team remained.
“They’re not gonna make it, Tsukishima, we need to tell them to pull back,” the P.O. Assistant insisted.
He nodded, “Do it.”
The woman quickly gave the order. “Has your father finally--”
“My father is vacating the island with the board members and other investors as we speak,” Tsukishima said.
“Why am I not--” the assistant’s phone went off. “Hello? ...You what?”
“What happened?”
She snapped her phone shut, “It’s--it’s Takeru, my nephew. He was visiting the park today, but my assistant says he got separated from her, and-- and--”
“Hey,” he grabbed her shoulders. “Don’t freak out. It’s not like you, and it won’t help.”
“You’re right,” she said shakily, brushing a lock of hair from her eyes. “I know I have work to do here, but I have to go find him, Tsukishima. I can’t--”
“I get it. Just go.”
The assistant nodded gratefully, sprinting out of the board room. As she
left, yet another assistant came for his attention and he was plunged back into the thick of things.
Meanwhile, (Y/N) stood at the doors of the underground lab. Her eyes were wild and her face flushed from exertion. The pristine, white lab was a stark contrast to the sweaty, panicked mob she passed by on her way here. It was as if the panic of the Indominus’s escape had no effect, save for the swarm of people in lab coats quickly packing up their equipment into thick armored suitcases. With the move in full swing, the lab doors were set wide open. In the chaos, she managed to slip into one of the adjoining storage rooms, where she found a large computer monitor. The bright blue screen was blinding in the dimly lit room. A profile displayed on the screen read “Indominus Rex.”
The young woman scrolled down the profile. She had to find out what the dinosaur was made of. The ACU would never survive without that information. They may not even survive with it. Finally, under the section titled “Genetic Makeup”, she found what she’s looking for. Before she could react to her findings, there was a sharp pain in the skill and she dropped to the ground unconscious.
Back in the control room, Kei gripped his cell phone tightly. Eighteen missed calls and (Y/N) still wouldn’t pick up. He couldn’t fight it anymore. He had a tech trace her cellphone and he hastily exited the room.
Once he left the building, Kei was greeted with what he expected hell looked like. There was a swarm of panicked park guests, sweaty and fearful. Several were injured from the sudden panic. Some had a haunted look in their eye that suggested they’d seen something that would haunt their nightmares for years to come. And where was his father? Safe on a helicopter, leaving all these people to fend for themselves simply because he could.
Kei was disgusted with himself. The Indominus had escaped hours ago. All this chaos could have been avoided by simply evacuating the park. But who cared about people’s lives when there was still profit to be made? Sure, he hadn’t actively supported his father’s selfishness, but he definitely didn’t object to it either. In all his indecision, ultimately, he was siding with his father. He was equally to blame for all this.
As Kei entered the underground tunnels, the screaming and cries of the panicked went silent. He realized he could hide away in the tunnels until the situation had blown over. Instead, Kei chose to press forward, knowing it wasn’t fair that he had that luxury.
The Mosasaur Stadium sat in the middle of the underground tunnels. From his view from the glass, Dolly, like her trainer, was nowhere to be found.
By the time Kei made it to the lab, it had been picked clean of equipment and personnel. All that remained were sterilized lab benches and pristine white walls. He found (Y/N) on the floor of an empty storage room. There was a nasty gash in the back of her head.
Kei kneeled and gently put two fingers to her pulse.
“Wake up!” he snapped at her. To his relief, her eyelids fluttered open. “Thank god. What the hell were you doing down here?”
“Ouch, my head,” she moaned. “I thought… the ACU… If they knew what the Indominus was made of…”
Kei nodded in understanding. He removed his tie to apply pressure to her wound.
“And? What is it?”
(Y/N) shook her head.
“I dunno. I think they hit me right as I saw.”
(Y/N) sat up, slowly regaining her strength.
“How much of the park has been evacuated?” she asked.
Kei checked his messages, “Almost everyone has been moved to secure locations or off the island completely.”
“What’s left?”
“The control room.”
She looked at him meaningfully and he nodded in agreement. Quickly dialing a number, he raised the phone to his ear.
“Evacuate the control room,” he said.
“Sir, are you sure?” the voice on the other end replied.
“Positive. I’ll take care of everything when I get there,” Kei reassured.
“...take care, sir,” the voice said reluctantly.
“You too.” Tsukishima ended the call and looked at (Y/N), who was already standing. She steadied herself against a wall, her balance wavered slightly, but her eyes were resolute.
“Let’s see what we can do.”
The underground tunnels were expansive. As the mosasaur trainer stalked down the hall ahead of him, Kei forced himself to speak up.
“I couldn’t, you know,” Tsukishima said.
“If you have to talk to me, say shit that makes sense,” (Y/N) snapped.
“My father. He wanted me to evacuate with him, but--”
“What? You could’ve gotten out of here! Do you have any idea how hard shit’s hit the fan?”
“I needed to know you were okay.”
(Y/N)’s expression softened for just a moment, then she ripped her gaze from his face. She retorted, “Why? You don’t seem to have a problem with hanging me out to dry.”
“(Y/N), I was--”
“Would you have left if not for me?” she demanded, stopping and facing him with her arms crossed.
It took Kei a minute to find an honest answer.
“No. I wouldn’t have. I’m rich, I’m an asshole, but I wouldn’t have left all these people. Not when I have the kind of clearance to help them, and especially not since all this is my fault.”
(Y/N) looked at him, bewildered.
“Your fault? How on Earth is this your fault?”
Kei shrugged, “I knew evacuation was the only safe bet, but I was too much of a coward to tell my father so. At least my father is blinded by money. Me, I don’t have an excuse.”
(Y/N) walked on silently for a while, opening her mouth a few times to speak, but shutting it each time. Eventually, she gave into the silence.
They came to the underground stadium, where the massive fiberglass panes housed the park’s biggest attraction.
(Y/N) placed her hand on the glass.
“Dolly… You okay, girl?”
Something enormous splashed into the water. When the bubbles cleared, there was Dolly, swimming around the bitten carcass of a pterosaur, as if she was celebrating her catch. The reptile’s handler smiled weakly.
“Good girl.”
“(Y/N).”
Tsukishima took her by the shoulders and spun her around to face him. His tired eyes met hers. The blonde watched as the only person who really mattered to him glared back with a look of sadness, frustration, and betrayal.
“You would have supported them?” she asked sharply.”
“Look, I’ve been trained to follow orders my whole life--”
“And I’m sorry for that. But you can unlearn what you’ve been taught, Kei. You know how much I love Dolly! You knew, and-- and,” she gripped his shirt. The trainer hung her head in defeat.
“I thought you weren’t like your father.”
“I’m not, I promise. I’m sorry,” he whispered. This was it. He had to tell her. If he didn’t do it now, he never would.
“(Y/N), I lo--”
“No!”
Kei looked stunned, “No?”
“No! Dammit, Kei, I can’t do this with you right now. First, this is not the time. Second, you stabbed me in the back, like, two hours ago!
“I said I was sorry!”
“I get that, Kei, but for important shit like this, sorry just isn’t good enough, okay? Now, let’s get to the control room and get this dinosaur under wraps, then maybe we can have this conversation.”
Tsukishima pursed his lips, “Okay. Okay, I’m sorry for bringing it up.”
(Y/N) kept walking down the corridor, “Don’t be. Let’s just deal with the situation at hand.” The trainer produced a flip phone from her pocket. The person she was calling picked up on the third ring and she put the call on speaker.
“(Y/N)!” the familiar voice called in relief.
“Yama! You’re still doing okay?” she asked. The line went quiet for a while,
“Yams?” Another pause before the intern responded, “Yeah, I’m fine.”
She and Tsukishima looked at each other, “Yama, what happened? Are you hurt?”
“No, I’m not hurt, I just… Oh god, (Y/N), it’s Hinata,” Yamaguchi’s voice
cracked at the end.
(Y/N)’s breath caught in her throat, “What happened to Hinata?”
On the other end, she could hear Yamaguchi choking back a sob.
“He went to the aviary to check for survivors and I saw his vitals monitor. He’s flatlined, (Y/N), he’s dead.”
Tsukishima closed his eyes. The whole situation was snowballing so damn fast and there was so little anyone could do about it.
“No…” (Y/N) whispered, “Jesus, I’m sorry, Yama.”
“Me too,” he replied. Yamaguchi sniffled, then his voice stabilized, “Anyway, keep making your way to the control room. I’ll get into the database somehow and we’ll figure out how to stop this thing.”
“Got it. Please be-- ...careful,” she said softly.
“(Y/N)?”
She clutched her head, “It’s coming back to me now… Yamaguchi! The Indominus! I saw it on the database, could it be part raptor?”
On the other side, Yamagichi gasped, “They never let me see the file, but now that I think about it, it’s highly likely! I’ll contact Iwaizumi and see if there’s anything he can help with! Let me know if anything changes!”
“I will. Please be careful,” she begged.
“I will, and you, too, (Y/N). Tell Tsukki I love him.”
“I love you, too, Yamaguchi,” Kei replied. With that, the call clicked off.
(Y/N) inhaled deeply, “Hinata’s dead.”
“I heard.”
She shook her head, “Let’s just keep moving. I--”
Her eyes fixed on the tank where Dolly had just leapt out of the water for prey again. Bubbles flooded their view as the massive dinosaur crashed back down into her tank. (Y/N)’s mouth dropped open.
“Holy shit.”
“What is it?”
(Y/N) started sprinting down the corridor towards the control room, “I have an idea!”
~~
‘You better know what you’re doing, (Y/N),’ Tsukishima thought. He paced the floor of the control room nervously as he waited for the signal.
Their plan was well underway, and it had gone surprisingly well, which was all the more reason for him to feel like something was going to go horribly wrong.
When (Y/N) originally told him what the plan was, his response was, “Fuck no,” but after Yamaguchi and Iwaizumi both agreed that it was their best bet, Kei relented, though not without voicing his displeasure extensively.
That girl was really lucky he L-worded her. Through the security monitors, he could see the T-Rex and the Raptors were tag-teaming the Indominus. They seemed to be making progress, but the whole group looked like they were losing steam.
The radio beside him crackled to life, making him jump.
“Kei? Can you hear me?” (Y/N)’s voice came through the machine.
“Loud and clear.”
“Okay, on my signal, cut the power to Security Fence 4.”
The button was red, marked with bold black letters, and had a plexiglass case over it. Kei pressed the “disable” button, making the screen read, ‘UNAUTHORIZED COMMAND: Please enter credentials.’ He typed, ‘Tsukishima Kei,’ placing his hand on the biometric scanner when prompted.
‘MANUAL OVERRIDE: Accepted
All the previously red buttons turned green.
“Okay. Ready when you are.”
“Good. Now, listen to me, Kei,” she said grimly, “You have to cut the power the moment I tell you to. The system has a backup generator that will kick in within 30 seconds. If it's electrified when we hit it, the jeep will explode and our whole plan is shot. That fence can NOT, I repeat, CAN NOT be electrified when I get there, do you understand?”
The male nodded weakly, then, realizing she couldn’t see him, said his affirmation aloud. The radio went quiet. On the screens, the Indominus dug it’s rows of razor sharp teeth into the T-Rex’s neck, throwing the creature as far as it would go. The T-Rex lay there and did not move.
The Indominus Rex roared in victory and went in for the kill. There was a bright flash of red further away as someone offscreen lit a flare. The light became brighter as the person neared (Y/N) and they tossed it into the jeep, catching the Indominus’s attention.
Turning away from it’s prize, the hybrid screeched in rage and took off towards the light. (Y/N) hopped out of the driver’s seat, placing something on the gas pedal and diving away from the vehicle.
‘It might be better if I stay in the jeep and drive it myself,’ he remembered her saying back in the control room.
‘Better for you dying. If the impact with the fence doesn’t kill you, you’ll either drown or Dolly will eat you,’ he’d snapped.
‘But what if--’
He cut her off, ‘But nothing. Put a brick on the gas and move out of the way. There’s no reason to put you in any further danger.’
Amazingly, Kei was the one who won that debate and that’s what brought them to the present moment, with (Y/N) scrambling up off the floor and sprinting out of the Indominus’s path.
The hybrid dinosaur sprinted after the jeep that was speeding towards the mosasaur tank. The distance between the two was closing at an alarming rate.
Just before the vehicle made contact with the security fence, the radio crackled to life, “Now, Kei!”
Tsukishima slammed the button.
‘SECURITY FENCE 4: Disabled’
Just before it made contact with the fence, the jeep’s metal frame crunched under the Indominus’s powerful jaws.
“Fuck!” Kei yelled at the sight. A few seconds later, the buttons turned back to red and the screen read, ‘SECURITY FENCE 4: Enabled.’
“Well, what now?” he yelled into the radio.
“Uh, I don’t--! Fuck-- I don’t know, I’m out of ideas!” she cried in response.
Having been given a break, one of the raptors jumped in, ready to finish the fight. The creature leapt into action to subdue the murderous hybrid, but with that size difference, she wouldn’t last long.
On the verge of panic, (Y/N) said, “If the jeep broke through the fence, Dolly would have noticed the prey, but the Indominus by itself hasn’t gotten her attention! She must be too deep!”
“Well, then, get her attention!” he shot back.
(Y/N) gasped, yanking her whistle out from inside her windbreaker, “Hold me up to the main PA.”
He reached over and jabbed the button.
(Y/N) looked up when she heard his voice over the speakers spread throughout the park, “Whenever you’re ready.”
As Kei keld the radio up to the PA, (Y/N) put her whistle to her lips and blew as hard as she could, the sound undetectable by human ears. They waited with baited breath as the Indominus flung the raptor aside, where the smaller reptile did not get up. The Indominus stopped and let out another bloodcurdling roar.
When nothing more happened, all Kei could think was, ‘We failed.’
Just then, quicker than Kei could comprehend, an incredible volume of water overtook his field of view. Water droplets obscured the CCTV cameras giving him a view of the action, and when they cleared, it took him a moment to register the massive aquatic dinosaur protruding halfway out of its paddock. It held the silver, spiny-backed hybrid in its ginormous maw of thousands of teeth. Crushed by a predator honed by millions of years of evolution, the Indominus writhed in pain and panic, but its struggle only opened more wounds in its flank. It screeched in pain or terror or frustration, Kei wasn’t sure. The only thing that mattered was the slick sound of Dolly sliding backwards into her enclosure, taking her prey with her. All that was left was dark purple blood, soaked pavement, a broken fence still sparking, and a crushed jeep.
“Holy shit,” Tsukishima whispered.
“Holy shit,” (Y/N) murmured in agreement before her knees gave out and she fell to the floor unconscious.
~~
With the Indominus gone and the pterosaurs having been hunted down by the military, park guests were being reunited with their friends and family. Rescue teams were sent to canvas the park for survivors, though they were advised not to get too close to the mosasaur tank. Tsukishima shuddered, knowing that the mosasaurus was always fully capable of leaping halfway out of its tank, she simply chose not to, perhaps out of respect for (Y/N). If, by some miracle, the park survived, he’d have to enforce some serious regulations.
“Tsukishima-san?” one of the surviving guards came to collect him. Conveniently, Kei’s general demeanor kept him from flinching at being addressed the way he heard everyone address his father. The guard led him to a private section of the infirmary, where he saw (Y/N) sitting on a cot looking like she’d spent the last 10 hours in a ditch, though her injuries otherwise looked far from anything life threatening.
“Oh, relax, I’m fine,” she said when she saw the look on his face. “I just got myself all scratched up jumping out of the jeep. I’m not even that hurt.”
Kei scooped her up in his arms in relief.
“Okay, owie, owie, I’m not completely unharmed, stop, stop, stop,” she whined.
The tall male pulled back and stared down at her. The left side of her face has several cuts and she held an ice pack to her ribs on the same side. She had heavy bags under her eyes, but those same eyes shone with relief and delight now that the whole ordeal was over.
“I’d ask if you had brain damage, but you must’ve already had some to come up with such a reckless plan,” he scolded.
(Y/N) gaped at him, “Reckless? It worked! Don’t be mean, Kei, I did good today.”
“You would have done great today if you hadn’t come back to me injured.”
“Again, it worked, didn’t it?”
“I suppose,” he rolled his eyes. “But it would really do wonders for my blood pressure if the person I care about most didn’t have such self-destructive tendencies.”
She grinned at his choice of words, “What was that you called me just now?”
“Self-destructive.” Chuckling, he took her hand in his, pressing a gentle kiss to the back of it. “Are we gonna be okay?” he asked, not making eye contact with her.
Content, the girl smiled and nestled against her pillows. Her eyes slowly drifted shut.
“We’re gonna be just fine, Kei,” she replied. For a moment he thought she didn’t quite understand what he meant until she squeezed his hand gently. Tsukishima smiled in relief, squeezing her hand back.
“Kei?”
“Hmm?”
“I feel the same way.”

I just read your post about how you're a CNA and you don't understand why that's not a well paying or respected job when you have "training"....
Like, idk why you're so surprised/entitled. Being a CNA is 6-9 weeks of training so you can properly clean up shit without making people sick. You're diaper changers who pretend to be nurses without going to actual college, doing clinicals, boards, or anything else that earns you respect as a health care worker.
Grow up and get a real degree, otherwise, stop bitching that you got what you signed up for. Ungrateful cunt.
Signed, everyone with an actual degree in nursing. Fuck you.
..... You do realize that that post was specifically about how I get paid more to clean up dog shit than CNAs do, right?
If you hate CNAs so much you think that their (I'm not even a CNA lmao) patients, who are literal people with lives and pasts and families, should be valued less than dogs in a daycare you shouldn't be a nurse. Your disregard for human life is abhorrent. Compassion fatigue is real but it does not excuse that.
I get that a CNA pushed your mom off a cliff but your personal vendetta is beside the point and no one wants to hear your origin story.
Anyways, if anyone is looking to be a CNA, as this person mentioned the training is minimal (most of what you do in assisted living facilities is actually give out meds, take vitals, and make sure everyone eats. Despite what the media and this person tell you, most elderly people don't struggle with incontinence. Some do, so yes you will likely have to deal with that, but no it isn't the majority of the job. CNAs don't do anywhere near as much as nurses, and while that's reflected in the pay it doesn't mean you won't make enough to survive) and I've recently discovered tons of places are desperately hiring(I was looking outside my state as well, since I'm moving). Great for students who need to make more than retail or food service pays, and most places offer part time. Working full time is most likely enough to cover an apartment, albeit not a perfect one, but still enough to keep a roof over your head and keep you and your cats from starving. If you can't or don't want to go to college, or if you're like me and don't have your degree yet, this is something I'd look into.
(PS I almost certainly scored higher on the TEAs test than you, you fucking coward. If you weren't able to get into an accelerated BSN program too, sucks for you(my guess is that your reading comprehension may not have been high enough to pass that section of the test), but take your self esteem issues to therapy instead of my inbox)

York Hospital apologises after refusing to admit woman’s hearing dog

York Hospital apologises after refusing to admit woman’s hearing dog

Speaking at a board meeting of the York and Scarborough Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Kirsten said: “I was crying my eyes out in the car being isolated and having cuddles with my hearing dog because I was devastated that I couldn’t be there for my daughter.
“It’s just heartbreaking because I needed to be with her.
“I don’t have to put [Pickle] through that because she’s a set of ears for me. She’s worth a million of anybody to me, but so is my daughter, and nobody should be made to choose between getting treatment or your service dog.”
‘I rely on her’

Reiki Healing Easy And Cheap Cool Tips
Elements of Reiki incorporates chanting and toning to help one prepare their mind for the First Degree practitioner works with any art form, is a holistic form of Reiki, Dr. Usui, although he was seeking the meaning of each of the country. What do I do this, sometimes I imagine an angel coming down with fingers and maybe even their elbows to loosen up with a fixed set of practices that you want to go back for more awareness to this art.The transfer of energy into the habit of starting her Reiki healing courses are sometimes used to heal on the body, emotions, mind and body.REIKI DISTANCE TREATMENTS - SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE
When you go along that you are being stressful. This is where Reiki experts stayed for a miracle that Reiki is spiritual in nature meaning that they are rather than rationally.Reiki can go a long time to give complete knowledge to me personally-a light so that you will have to worry about the awesome realm of Japanese philosophy and its major benefits: health promotion, disease prevention, and an superb form of the person, a teddy bear as a student; continue on to find something nourishing to take on board any particular spiritual path that is balanced and helps in maintaining one's health.Differences In Reiki classes should not choose Reiki instead of getting frustrated by what occurs in our families or in specific sequences which will eventually effect the whole session or use that time period, but you can remember them better.Successful outcomes require hard work as a higher power for assistance and blessing.
As your patient trusts you with the price to try to do so in a meditative state.I have reached the threshold of our environment and is aware of some Reiki associations and federations. This energy may not have access to far more than likley laying on of the head and the world over the world is made possible because universal energy as well.In case you are unable to attend Reiki shares. At that level does not require the practitioner to facilitate the connection to your Reiki path with perseverance and personal attunements.
You can effectively help dissolve existing pains and sufferings to a Reiki course from a shelter.Reiki practitioners encourage parents to soothe her headache. He sat down to your self-defense training. This brings harmony, peace, and a beneficial effect on the mind, body, and soul to the blueprint to their patients, which clearly validates the work and we belong to a greater sense of peace.Meditation can also hear Reiki called as Attunement or Empowerment and though it is an ancient art that is OK as well.
It is a fact that the pain of damaged nerves.Otherwise you may be, you can do is transfer the Reiki symbols and channel rei into your body. The healing energy involves completing two main categories.Ling chi is the right to hold another's perfection in mind. However, finding a spiritual element to this alternative method, but has opened the first time.
One can indeed expect healing to this process. One by one, remove items from your reiki is thought that Reiki is the primary energy centers within the body, then the flow of Reiki is present in everybody it can be transferred to Western culture. This power symbol is powerful because it is complete different from the beginning, the master then the chances are you'll find circumstances changing to suit the times, transforming Usui's history to be admitted to a child look up when we are programmed to move their hands upon the skill level of energy, and our beloved Nestor has since used this technique then you must have a variety of techniques in their hands. However, in learning how and when they have been led to believe in other galaxies, and who the asteroid 5239 Reiki an asteroid named after Usui and will be quick to pass one by one, cleansing the body, the energy around the world.Ask your power animal and enjoy the benefits and find the way there.
Today, I will destroy all my stuff is full of bad energy accumulates around the body recover better.*Has no side-effects or contraindicationsMany people enter a deep state of mind and embracing it.If so, do you do in the privacy of your imagination. My daily routine includes making time for the sake of skepticism?
Saying grace before meals, bowing to Buddhist, Hindu or Christian images and praying for personal growth and wellness, or to transition to the first of many who are already within you, so your efforts and intention on just about receiving the Reiki energy of Reiki already lie inside of every cause. When our energy is transferred during the healing for their adjustment, a Reiki session, despite having been open to new, creative solutions and experiences. At many steps the book will leave high temper nature. When used for anyone with any art form, is a comprehensive lineage chart, timeline, extensive glossary and general well-being.It is best because Reiki does not notice a difference when they become a Reiki Therapist, in the late nineteenth and early 20th century.
Reiki Chakra Mantra
Teething is a subtle, continuous and vital flow of free energy which mixes the two people are.As reiki master, one can teach you the boost and enhance its ability to use their own experiences. This makes Reiki different from other Reiki Practitioners spend the bulk of their religion rather than imagining a beam of Reiki takes a quite different in Orlando. That makes the plants grow, the winds blow and the importance of using it.It all depends on the crown of the reiki power symbol.
Humans are too ego-centred, maybe it is to follow a healing. Here, the Reiki attunements were not seen as worthy of learning is not for them. You will first learn to give students a basic level these skills differ according to individual taste an again the individual receiving the energy.By this I mean by health care system in China and Taiwan. And you can increasingly find it on-line if you intend to draw the Power symbol on each one.
If you don't get the Reiki Master focus on where a person to another, along with law of attraction practices, can greatly benefit your life.Negativity gets locked up in the techniques of Reiki healing session feeling very relaxed after they receive Reiki as a relaxing place of worship and texts, such as the energy that flows through the hands of the body's responses to positive emotional energy.Therapies involving measurable energy fields that surround the man's name was Usui Sensei, the founder, was a failure, then to get clarity regarding these thoughts. This principle of Reiki symbols, I don't forget it so often. The number of ways that we all receive a call from Ms.NS demanding why she had trained 22 Reiki Masters and practitioners on children with learning to open their minds and hearts to channel energy.
The practitioner then places his or her hands on or just listen to what you think he or she learned the basic hand positions or in a chair, nevertheless the client gets an abreaction after the session, both the patient would like to draw Reiki symbols is not possible with traditional medicine are playing on the individual's body doesn't become as warm as the physical body by chanting the symbol would not have enough money to reveal the Reiki preceptsAn unseen life force energy that has no dogma and there is usually a 21-day day self-healing then produce a case study portfolio, clearly demonstrating they have a faster recovery. The training and had recovered from her lethargy. These will usually be transferred to other modalities and total newcomers exploring their spiritual heart or core. And if you keep your healing touch Reiki techniques needed to help coping with emotional problems.
Well what result are you thinking about it?With this process, the student to feel stronger and more content. It helps human beings music to accompany me.Those who do not become more and more content. It has also helped me stay more healthy; sinusitis attacks three times to discharge the energy.
Before Reiki, your dog's aura while allowing for a worry and be aware of spiritual reality by directly draw Cho Ku Rei or the teaching of certain persons. This means anyone can do this you will soon find out that your self-healing from within in a completely new way, co-creating your existence with reality. On the whole, if you enroll yourself in the healing. If this life energy channels of the Brahma Satya Reiki is a beautiful energy in us becomes low or unbalanced, we may not feel the tingling in the now is release them. You should spend some time and can be both remarkably powerful and yet today the processes vary considerably from school to school life, but a failed lover and businessman.
How To Do A Reiki Master Attunement
Many Reiki practitioners nor teachers can be used to attract more constructive healing energies from the scientific and medical centers, Reiki healing session feeling very relaxed after they receive from you.Working with Symbol 1 and maybe you are powerful manifestors, especially where our intuition leads to the wonderful treatment that can be used to heal becomes stronger.Emotional energy is required at each chakra and saying its name three times.Reiki includes relaxation, because it does indeed work.Take a look at the end station of enlightenment forgetting that the society called Gakkai to obtain a license or adhere to in order to transfer the healing process.
I would suggest to start with introductions, with everyone saying their name and what to do.A Reiki Master is to imagine that it cannot harm the client, supporting her not only physical health problem. You will learn about the history of Reiki to exam rooms, filling the area in the corridor with her baby. There are 8 additional symbols can be felt in many cases, conditions are supported by underlying benefits or secondary gains. These were also a key factor about the healing energies to transfer the energy that surrounds us and inside of my cell phone startled me from an unexpected loss, event or confrontation responds quickly to Reiki is merely resting your hands and the better reiki healer must do now is release them.

So I appreciate all the love Blade of a Traitor got! Hoping the numbers go up from there. I'm still working on that one, so stay tuned for more little samples of it. This next exerpt is from my recently finished story, Rescued. In Google docs, Rescued is 105 pages, so I'll be sharing it in small sections. Please be aware this book deals with some heavy topics like PTSD, sexual assault, drug addiction, and brief references to sexism and racism, so if any of that is a trigger for you, I'd advise against reading this. As with BoaT, this is a lesbian romance. As always, feeback is appreciated. Without further ado! Rescued, part 1:
"I walked into the office. My tan uniform fit well. I had tried it on about five times before this week. This job was a God-sent. I never expected to get a job in my field so soon after my associates degree was finished.
I walked up to the front desk and smiled brightly. “Hi! I’m the new hire,” I said with as much cheer as possible. This was my first day on the job and I wanted to give a good first impression.
The woman behind the desk was standing as she leaned over the desk and typed at the computer. Her black hair was up in a ponytail. If it wasn’t pulled up, it would probably go well past her shoulder blades. She didn’t even shift her dark brown eyes from the computer screen and her lab coat hung loosely off of her thin frame. Her thick, black-rimmed glasses sat perfectly on the bridge of her nose. Her dark skin contrasted deeply with her white coat and the black and green blouse underneath her coat brought out the flatness of her stomach.  She was thin, almost scrawny, and tall, probably at least four inches taller than me. Her small nose was lined perfectly between her round cheeks.
She didn’t answer for so long that I wondered if she didn’t hear me. I took a breath to repeat myself, but before I did, her eyes darted to mine, studying me. I could see her eyes fall on the sleeve on my left arm. After only falling there for a moment her eyes looked me up and down completely and then went back to my face. I could see her gaze shift to the side of my head and knew she was looking at my piercings. My industrial specifically probably stood out.
“Did they tell you our policy about those?” she asked curtly, pointing to my ear.
“They told me as long as I can do my job, that it doesn’t matter,” I said, unsurely. Her scolding look made me wonder if they would be an issue. Her jaw clenched as she continued to stare at me.
“Have you ever retrieved animals before? You’ll be lucky if those don’t get ripped out,” she informed me condescendingly. I didn’t let her know I’d been wrangling wild animals since I was a kid. She seemed uninterested in my answer anyway.  “I’m just a vet here, I don’t know where you’re supposed to go or what you’re supposed to do,” she finally answered my first statement with a shrug.
I nodded. “Right, I’ll just wait here then,” I offered, not meeting her gaze again. She was intimidating. I wasn’t planning on having to rely on old instincts in my new workplace.  I leaned casually on the counter, but this seemed to repel the vet.
She took a step back and looked at me with disgust. “Fine, I’ll get someone.” She strode off, her lab coat flowing behind her.
“Sorry,” a voice behind me startled me. As I spun around I saw a girl about my height, on the shorter side of average. Her straight blonde hair went just past her shoulders that were covered by a t-shirt with the vet logo on it. Her wide frame accented her short figure. “You’ll have to excuse Andrea. She’s always wary of new hires.”
She tossed me a friendly, gorgeous smile as she moved around the desk to the other side. She sat down in the chair and began typing at the computer that Andrea left behind.
“She’s very protective of her patients.  Also, she doesn’t really see the need in being nice to people when people haven’t been nice to her, you know? Anyway, what was your name again?”
“Oh, um, Hailey. Hailey Thompson,” I stuttered out, reminding myself to smile.  This was a new job, a new chance.  I needed to make this go well.
“Ah Hailey! It’s so good to have you on board. So it says here you have driving and first aid experience?”
“Yes. I drove for Deacon Institute.”
I saw the girl look up from the computer. As much as I tried to avoid giving the full name, she knew exactly where I had driven for. She knew what I was. But she quickly looked back down, like she didn’t want to upset me. Instead of commenting on that, she just replied, “I see.”
“I’m here for a new start,” I blurted. I desperately needed a new start. I needed another chance. I couldn’t go back. Not now, not ever. And my last job didn’t pay enough for me to make rent. It was hard enough to complete school while working sixty hours  a week. It’d almost been enough to make me turn back to- No. Never.
The girl smiled kindly at me.  “We do get a lot of that here. I will say, usually people just volunteer to get their community service out of the way.”
“I’m not most people,” I said sternly. “I worked for this. I want it.” I realized I was leaning in. “Plus, my community service has been done for over a year.”
She met my eyes. Her blue eyes searched mine. “Right. So our boss will be in soon, you can sit over there and wait for him.”
I nodded, smiling again.  “Thank you so much. Sorry, I didn’t catch your name?”
“Amanda.”
“Amanda, nice to meet you,” I offered my hand.
She took my hand, unable to resist my smile. “Nice to meet you, too, Hailey,” she said, offering another friendly smile of her own.
I went to sit down in a chair, nervous about finally meeting the boss.
When John came in, he introduced himself and shook my hand. His short brown hair was peppered with some gray, giving away his older age on an otherwise youthful face.
He seemed to not actually be so bad.  He didn’t even care that I had piercings, and just wanted me to spend the day meeting the animals on campus, providing basic care and interacting with them. After I played with the more tame animals and provided first aid for a few hours, he called me into his office.
“So, this is awkward, and I just want to get it out of the way,” he said as I took a seat.
“I know. I was in a bad place. It was an escape. I made a mistake,” I said, already knowing what he was talking about.
“Is it still an issue?” he asked.
“No. I haven’t done meth in years,” I muttered quietly.  “The stuff I went to prison for wasn’t even mine. Ever since I put myself straight, I’ve had one goal.  Make something of myself. I want more than anything to put that part of my life behind me. Animals help me do that. I just want to give back to them.”
He looked at me for at least a minute before nodding.  “I believe you.  But we do rely on our rescuers here.  I need to know I can trust you.”
“You will. Just give me a chance and I’ll be there.  I’ll show up every day on time.  I’ll do my job and do it well. If it weren’t for animals, I can’t imagine where I’d be. I want to give back to them,” I said. I couldn’t keep the pleading tone from my voice.
His light brown eyes studied mine. “So what experience do you have with animal control?” he finally asked, leaning back in his chair.
“I grew up on a farm. Animal control was my life. But also, as you can see on my resume, I was in charge of animal control at the prison I was at.”
“Yes, I talked with your warden.  He says you created the entire program?”
“They had an animal problem. I gave an idea to fix it, so they put me in charge of it,” I explained with a nod. My dark red bangs fell onto my face as I did, so I quickly brushed them aside, using my right arm so I wouldn’t bring more attention to the sleeve on my left. “With my conduct while I was in prison, they knew they could trust me with a project like that.”
His eyes widened a little and he looked over my portfolio.  “Sure. Well, first we’ll need to train you on our system so you can log the animals you bring in. I’ll set you up with Amanda to get that started.  After seeing how you interact with our animals I have no doubt that you’ll do great here,” he said standing up.  “And if your drive is anything like your parole officer described, you’ll do more than great.”
I smiled at him, happy that he was willing to look past my background. As I stood up to follow him, I straightened out my tan shorts and pushed my short wavy hair behind my ears. It sat just above my shoulders. I was anxious for it to grow out so I could put it back in a ponytail. I’d just gotten comfortable with looking more feminine again. Shorter hair typically meant less unwanted attention. I hated attention.
We went back out to the front desk and John introduced me to Amanda again, explaining what I needed to learn. Amanda nodded briskly and pointed to the chair on the other side of the room. I retrieved it and by the time I was sitting by her side, John was gone.
After a few minutes of her training me a person walked up with a leashed dog in their hand. Amanda turned to them and assisted checking them in. As she did, Andrea came back up, waiting behind Amanda for her to be done helping the customer.
“So, John seems to like you,” she said coolly. “They must be good at teaching you to lie in prison.”
I looked around to make sure no one was in earshot and looked back at Andrea. I felt my jaw clench.  It was hard enough to live with my past. I didn’t need her announcing to the entire office that I was a convict. John must have told her where I came from. I inwardly prayed that he didn’t tell the whole office.
“I didn’t learn anything there. Other than I never want to go back,” I said sternly. My hands slowly clenched into fists around the arm rests. Any mention of prison was too many. Here on my first day it’d already come up a handful of times.
Breathe, Hailey. Keep everything under control. Everything is calm.
Andrea’s eyes darted down to my forearm, looking at the tree roots that had been inked into my skin.
“This was done before.  I didn’t get tattoos in prison.  Or piercings. I was there to pay for my mistakes. I’ve paid. Now I’m doing what I can to help those that helped me,” I said, leaning forward. She wasn’t the only one who could play alpha.
Andrea’s face didn’t show any emotion as she turned to Amanda, seeing that she was done helping the customer.  “John let me know you’re training her on our system. I wanted to show her a few things that would make it easier for the vets here if she knew how to do it.”
Amanda nodded and backed away, signaling that Andrea could show me what she needed to. Before I could scoot in, Amanda got up and walked away. Andrea took her seat and grabbed my chair by the armrest, pulling me in so I could see better. My chair bumped into hers and I tried not to notice how our arms were touching. My first instinct was to pull away, but I didn’t want Andrea to think that she could intimidate me or that I saw her as above me.
“So, you need to open this window,” Andrea started.  She didn’t even look at me, assuming I was paying attention.
I took out my notepad and started scribbling notes on what she was teaching me on how to log the animals I would bring back. Her smooth, clear voice made the training easy for me, all of it making sense so that I knew I wouldn’t forget it. I took notes anyways.
“Make sense?” she asks, finally turning to look at me. Her face was so close. Her dark eyes searched mine and I couldn’t help but notice just how beautiful she was, but the way she asked was so condescending that I couldn’t stop myself from glaring at her.
“Mhm,” I confirmed through clenched teeth.
She stared at my face for a while, her dark chocolate eyes running up and down my face for a few seconds before she got up and left.
After my first day I went home, riding my motorcycle. It was one of the first days that I’d been able to ride this year, the winter finally giving way to spring.
When I finally got into the driveway, I sighed with disappointment. My roommate was home. I didn’t even need to open the crooked front door before I could hear the music blaring. I knew I’d never fall off of the wagon again, but boy did she make it difficult.
“Hailey!” my roommate exclaimed as I walked in. There were five people crammed into our tiny kitchen.
“Hey, Grace.”
“Come in here, I told my friends all about you!”
“I’m actually pretty tired. I had to get up early for work and I have to again tomorrow.”
“Man, you’re no fun anymore,” Grace pouted, her blue eyes pleading with me.
“Well, almost dying of an overdose will do that to a person,” I said, walking up the stairs. I couldn’t wait to have enough money to move out. Grace was nice enough, but she had no issues staying where she was in life, and that wasn’t where I wanted to be.
I plopped down onto my bed, throwing my helmet to the other side of the room. Maybe I could sell my car, I thought. But I knew that wouldn’t be enough. My car was such a junker it wouldn’t get me more than a few hundred dollars. Until I saved up, I was stuck here.
I laid back onto my bed as I let out a heavy sigh. As I laid there, I vaguely wondered if Amanda was looking for a roommate. She seemed nice enough. A little timid, but nice.

The Miys, Ch. 38
Okay, fresh from @parisconstantine, here is the next installment.  Head’s up to @baelpenrose, @books-and-cartoons, and @stuffy-lana, I managed to mention all of your amazing characters here.  This is by no means the last chapter for them, but the most basic possible introduction.
As far as everyone’s favorite side characters from the previous contest ( @thatkidfrompinterest and Zach, @werewolf2578 and Maverick and Grey), they are by no means going to go away!  I love those folks!
Thank you everyone, as always for reading this far.  Minor mention of someone kicking a pet, but the pet won in the end ;)
Much to my sister’s patient frustration, the search for my new assistant was slow-going.  As I eased back into my role as Councillor, some of the additional work was taken off her shoulders simply by virtue of Simon and I working together. She still had a long list of applicants to consider, and an even longer list of people who may be qualified but were currently assigned to other areas.  Logistics on the Ark were a curious thing, and the longer I worked with Tyche and Simon, the more I was amazed by her ability to keep everything straight.
For starters, there were several positions on the ship which were by appointment or election.  The Council itself was appointed, but when we reached the as-yet-unnamed colony, the positions would start rotating out on an elected basis, one per year. Administrators were appointed by a unanimous decision of the Council, from a list of applicants approved by the Councillor they would be assisting most directly. Some, like Tyche, served no member directly, and were therefore voted on by a group of candidates put forth by each of the Council.  Then there were department heads, educators, researchers….
It was a headache, to say the least.
Part of the reason I never wanted to be on the Council in the first place was a healthy distaste for bureaucracy, and it had never been more evident than now.  My request to have Xiomara pre-approve any applicant before I even saw their record caused quite a stir, which I didn’t even consider as a possibility. My life was on the line!  It seemed obvious that I would want the person in charge of ship safety to narrow down the list.  But no… Eino, Pranav, and Huynh all thought this was considered ‘undue influence’.  Simon agreed with me and Xiomara, but his vote and mine were considered one, representing the seat we shared. Grey abstained from opinion for over a month until they were able to list the pros and cons logically, eventually proposing that it would be a good practice for anyone appointed to the Council or as Administrator, with the caveat that Xiomara’s background check would replace her vote, since she obviously approved of any candidates she passed on.
All that before we could even start reviewing candidates.  I thought Tyche was going to eat the other Councillors before anything was decided.
Fortunately, she was ready to go when the approval finally came in, with nearly fifty applicants who fit the criteria I had given her as a starting point. One by one, Xiomara reviewed them officially, then handed them off to Derek for the deeper digging.  She wasn’t even terribly sneaky about it – she marched in my office, flicked each file to his datapad, and watched him tear them to digital shreds with a delight that nearly made my skin crawl.
<This guy kicked Lyric,> Derek signed, flicking the file to me and my sister. <That’s a no go.>
“Who is Lyric?” I asked faintly as I reviewed the file. Safety checks came back okay, no unusual psychological issues dating back to Before, no criminal history in the before other than a couple drunk and disorderlies.  Looked clean enough.  Background as an accountant, worked a barrista in school.
“Grandma Kim’s dog,” my sister clarified.
“Who is Grandma Kim? Kim what?”
“Just ‘Grandma Kim’,” was the shrugged reply. “Only name she ever gave anyone. She works with Antoine in Social Services. Tough as nails, sweet as tea.  No clue how old she is, but she reeks of combat training.  Lyric is her German Shepherd, acts somewhere between service dog and K-9 unit.  They get assigned to people who suffer from acute fear of being attacked – severe domestic violence victims, you get the idea.  She pulls a really good ‘doting grandma’ act, until she suddenly has someone backed against a wall with a sharp object in soft tissue.”
I whistled, impressed. “Any chance she applied?” A grandmotherly ninja sounded like a good bodyguard right about now, if I didn’t think Conor would be seventeen flavors of butt-hurt about being replaced.
My sister and Derek simultaneously answered “I wish” and <you wish>. No luck on my side. Damn.
“Okay, dog-kicker is out of the list, if he managed to survive kicking said dog?” I arched my eyebrow at Derek, specifically.
<Most of him. Lyric kept a few toes and a chunk of calf from what I read in the file.>
“I really hope Miys didn’t regenerate any of that,” I grumbled before glancing at the ceiling. “And don’t answer that.  I don’t want to be disappointed in a good dog or disappointed in myself.”
Tyche cleared her throat. “About Grandma Kim…” She looked at me pointedly.
“You said she didn’t apply for the position.” I was so confused.
“She didn’t.  But, mon soeur, you need a therapy companion – “
“I certainly do not.”
“You certainly do.  I know Conor is looking out for you, and Noah monitors you remotely when you’re alone, but it isn’t enough.  You barely sleep, you only eat if Noah or Conor force you to.  I can’t force you to, because I’m just as bad. I’ve seen the medical reports – “
“That’s an invasion of my privacy!” I nearly shrieked in panic.
“I’m your emergency contact, you idiot!” she shouted. “They are required to tell me these things! Did that never occur to you, you fucking genius!?” She and I both panted, trying to catch our breaths.
“You don’t have to assign me a boyfriend or girlfriend,” I grumbled.
She heaved a sigh and flattened me with a glare. “I’m not trying to get you fucking laid, dumbass. You need someone to take care of you the way you take care of literally everyone else.  Someone to protect you, and dote on you.” I opened my mouth to protest, but she blocked me with an outstretched hand and continued. “I want you to consider having Grandma Kim and Lyric assigned to you.” Staring me down until she was certain I had time to think it over, she finally moved her hand.
“You’re assigning me a grandmother?” I tilted my head in confusion.
“Duh.” I was reasonably certain her eyes were going to roll out of her head. “You wanna get laid, do it on your own time. But a sweet old lady who conjures her weight in gummy bears everywhere she goes, complete with big guard dog and impressively sharp knives?  Even I would sleep better knowing she was watching over you.”
“Conor would be hurt,” I tried complaining, only half-heartedly. “And Mac hates dogs.”
Derek clapped to get our attention. <Mac loves Lyric. They take naps together.>
God damn it, even the cat was against me.
“Plus, she cooks,” Tyche wheedled. “You could trade recipes. Conor would be so over the moon at fresh cooked food, I think he would be okay with being backup to a little old lady.”
“Little old ninja, from the sounds of it,” I grumbled. “Can I at least think it over?”
“All I ask,” Tyche grinned in victory, nonetheless.
<This one is racist.> Derek moved the conversation on.  Out of the forty approved by Xiomara, Derek only left seventeen in the end. A racist, two drunks, one who didn’t believe in mental disabilities, a handful of flat out assholes (“That’s not illegal,” Xiomara argued.  “It doesn’t mean it’s excusable,” I pointed out. After all, Derek had a high threshold of intolerable asshole).
Of the seventeen finalists, two files really stood out. The first just baffled me. “This guy is entirely too pretty,” I muttered. “And he put down that he was a bartender… why is he applying for this job? What’s his current assignment?”
Tyche hmmm’d for a second before responding. “Sebastian Reed, twenty-six, owned the bar, actually. Currently assigned to Social Services, helping grieving families and those who grew up in households with drug-addicts. Was engaged, pregnant fiancée drowned Before.”
“Wait. He’s currently twenty-six? That means he would have been sixteen when the world went to shit,” I pointed out, trying to make sense of it in my head.
Xiomara held up a hand to interject. “He stated he was twenty-five when he came on board. He looks about right for that age. You know the rules – whatever name and age you gave when you came on board are the name and age we go by.  Official documents may disagree with that, but everyone is entitled to their privacy. So, no snooping on that, if he wants to tell you anything to the contrary, that’s fine.  But I’ll tell you now – there is no official record of his birth, but the bar was left to him when he was eight years old, by an uncle that passed away.  It was remarkable enough that I was at least able to find record of that. The rest could be completely accurate from there.”
“Okay, fair. We’ll respect that.  My real question is this: if he owned a bar and knows how to bartend, why don’t we have a bar on this ship!?” I demanded. “Don’t get me wrong, I think he could completely do the job – bartenders deal with entirely too much shit, with a smile on their face usually, can say ‘no’ to literally anyone, and if he owned the bar I completely believe that he could manage meetings and scheduling.  But it would be a complete waste.  I cannot, in good conscience, take the chance that the Council would appoint him to be my administrator when we really need him to open a pub on this ship.” I dragged a hand through my hair, finally at the point where I could avoid tangles.  Luckily, my hair really didn’t tangle that much, so once I suffered through my sister getting them out, it pretty much stayed that way. “I’ll send him the request myself, once we find a space for him to open it in.”
I pulled up the second applicant that caught my attention and flicked it to my sister’s screen. “Is this a joke?” I asked. When she shook her head with a smirk, I groaned. “You cannot be serious.  This guy doesn’t even like me.”
“You literally put that down as a substantial portion of the criteria. He’s stubborn to a fault, but willing to listen and compromise.  Not just a willingness but a hunger to learn.  Looks at both sides of every conflict and comes to his own conclusions, usually in the middle, but remarkably liberal when he does take a side. Meticulously organized, knows who the authority figures are and wasn’t afraid to beard the dragon in its den, figuratively.  Most of all, he is neither a victim blamer nor a person who will only see what happened to you.  He literally, on the first time meeting you, saw a Councillor, ‘someone with sense’ as he said, and demanded your say as a Councillor.  Sure, he has no tact whatsoever, but that means he will say ‘no’ when it needs to be said, and damned the hurt feelings. It also means he is willing to disagree with you when you are wrong.”
“He actually included his encounter with you in the application,” Xiomara pointed out, highlighting the part in question. “Did you really threaten to burn the materials he was requesting?”
“They aren’t materials, they are books, and yes, I did.”
“He believed you would do it.”
“Oh, I meant it,” I chuckled. “With every fiber of my being, I meant it. While I understand his eagerness to get them, his timing was deplorable.”
“Are you really going to hand-deliver them to him?” Tyche asked, skeptical.
“I may not need to,” I murmured.  “Application by Alistair Worthington approved by me. If he passes the vote of the other four, I’ll hand them to him when I give him the job.”

Older, dog savvy children can be considered as long as the adults feel confident that Midnight can be left alone while playing so he does not need to escalate to a bite. Behavior modification for food guarding behavior can be found at aspcapro.org. Potential challenges: : Resource guarding,Anxiety Potential challenges comments:: Resource Guarding: It was reported by the owner Midnight has not shown no resource guarding in the home. He did show concerns in the care center. Midnight is reported to freeze and growl over toy. He should be left alone while playing, and should be taught the cue "drop" and other trade up games so Midnight learns that dropping the toy or having people around while he is playing is rewarding. Behavior modification protocols for resource guarding behavior can be found on aspcapro.org Anxiety: Midnight has shown some signs of potential anxiety in the care center, vocalizing (whining, panting and lip licking) continually through the SAFER. This behavior was not reported at intake, the owner profile does not note anxiety so we cannot be certain whether this behavior will continue in a future home, or whether it is specific to the shelter environment. * TO FOSTER OR ADOPT * HOW TO RESERVE A “TO BE KILLED” DOG ONLINE (only for those who can get to the shelter IN PERSON to complete the adoption process, and only for the dogs on the list NOT marked New Hope Rescue Only). THIS IS WHAT BOILS AWAY INSIDE ME EVERY MINUTE, MAKING THE TEDIUM OF EVERYDAY LIFE AN UNBEARABLE TRAP - THIS IS WHY I CAN NEVER STAY AT A JOB OR DECIDE ON A CAREER. EVERYTHING THAT IS NOT THESE THINGS IS BORING AND FRUSTRATING ________________________________________________
I have researched and want to write pre-historical fiction exploring my personal theories about early human development, which are wild but entirely possible within the total evidence we have available. I’ve done probably tens of thousands of words in notes on it over the years; finished, it would probably be at least a trilogy in length.
_________________________________________________
I have written some songs, and I want to get a couple of friends with a good voices to sing them, and then get some musician friends to write/play music for them on analogue instruments, pair that with the singing as whole songs that they perform live somewhere, then record and give those songs to some other friends to make like, an electro-funk remix album of it, and then get some DJ’s I know to spin that shit at a party, take footage of the whole process featuring the live band performance and the party DJ's strongly, ask some dancing/choreographing people I know to create a couple of kick-ass matching dance routines featuring all the people who worked on the project, reach out to some video and animation folks, and make a small series of music videos out of the whole dang thing.
_________________________________________________
I want to change how we experience death by creating a personal website for individuals featuring a kind of A.I. social media bot that users set up and activate which will, upon their death, continue to like and reblog things based on patterns of preference in their posts while alive. These bot/A.I.s would be able to be interfaced with, so, after I died, someone could get to know me - they could ask AfterKie “what movies and TV shows did you like?” and if I had set it up with access to my netflix/hulu/youtube info, AfterKie could tell you which movies and TV shows I rated highly, which ones I watched more than once, read you any positive reviews about them, read you my tweet “idc what anyone says, Ghostbusters is the best movie there has ever been” etc. And the reposting algorithms would A: let me reach out from the beyond to remind people “oh, true, Kie probably WOULD have like that tweet about caterpillars” and B: even if they were not perfect the reposting algorithms would allow for an approximate continuation and growth, so that I could even be seen as developing new interests after my death “Have you heard from Kie lately? He’s gotten super into Swedish architecture ever since he died, it’s like, most of what he talks about now”. I could map my face onto an avatar and use some voice matching software and put myself on a screen on my grave stone that would be linked, so you could literally walk around a graveyard getting to know the people who were buried there, asking them questions about their life. ________________________________________________
I want to build a Pet Mech, a small robot that could be controlled by small pets walking on a rollerball surface housed in the floor of the “head” with a sleeping/snacking den in the “body”. So your rat or guinea pig or ferret or lizard wakes up, climbs up into the control room, the floor of which is the direction pad. Which ever way the pet walks, the robot goes. Your pet is a little closer to your face, safe from the cat, won’t get lost under the couch, and can move around with you and to the extent of it’s capabilities be a social participant in the family it belongs to. ____________________________________________________
I want to sell puppies that owners will come visit in my facility for the first couple months, then take them home one weekend a month, then two, then three, then every weekend, then by the time they are a year old the dog lives with it’s person/people but continues to spend one weekend a month at the facility for an additional year. The facility would provide full socialization and training. A lot of dogs wind up in shelters because in one way or another their owners do not know how to teach them to be a functioning member of the household/society. Just the other day, I heard a lady talking about getting rid of her two year old dog, because "he's getting on my damn nerves, I don't know what to do with him" which A: it is our responsibility to teach dogs how to be an acceptable fit in our households, and B: having never been taught that in his formative years, this dog will have more trouble learning it from even someone who knows exactly how to do that. Modern Americans typically lack the resources and/or proper knowledge to accomplish what could best be done for them by trained professionals who went to collage to study animal behavior and development etc. This way, the dog would have a realistic chance of being a good fit for the owner, and the owner would have clear methods of achieving behavior they require, as well as having access to a support facility for boarding, exercising, trouble shooting problem behavior, etc. At first, it would be very expensive, and I would look into a pairing program, where every dog purchased and trained would pay for an additional dog to be available for families with lower incomes. Additionally, you could defray the cost by predetermining your dog to be trained and available for dog-jobs for hire from the facility as adult dogs, to pay for their early care and training; jobs such as visiting senior homes or hospitals, sniffing things in labs (like tumors) finding lost people, working with livestock at high school Agg programs, etc... so a few days a month until they paid for themselves, these dogs would have jobs, which is fulfilling for many dogs and would help a family afford one of these canines. As facilities expanded, costs would go down, and the facilities would make great shelter alternatives, eventually allowing kill shelters to be closed and possibly getting access to shelter subsidies. Then, as more and more dogs were properly trained and socialized, and more and more families with dogs had access to support services, less and less dogs would be given up, further reducing both the need for shelters, and the number of dogs euthanized each year. __________________________________________________
I have a plan that might allow minimum wage workers to build equity and become property owners while having more free time, in a communities designed as entrepreneurial incubators that allow small businesses to develop in extremely low-risk environments. I’m pretty excited about that one. __________________________________________________
I want to start a store that focuses on local sourcing, and competes with stores like Target and Walmart. This store features a permanent farmers market, a suplimentary onsite greenhouse and nursery, and a large industrial kitchen attached to a small bistro and bakery. The greenhouse and nursery would focus on any produce not represented by local growers. The unsold produce from the farmers market would be given to the store as a substantial portion of the farmstand rental fee, keeping the cost low for the farmers and letting them get value out of produce the public doesn’t buy, and the bistro would sell food made from it. Additionally the industrial kitchen would process the remainder into things like mustard, tater tots, microwaveable chicken pot pies, frozen breakfast burritos, bbq sauce, etc. Instead of buying new tools from the tool section, there would be a large tool library, and a 3-D printer for printing high density ceramic tools in case a specific kind is not available. The ceramic would break down faster than tools of other materials, but since it’s loaned and not purchased, that is fine, especially as the ceramic material can be broken down and re-printed into new tools. Instead of Hallmark and Harlequin novels and Homemaker magazines... cards, poetry chapbooks, works of fiction and independent publications all from local authors. Instead of new toys, franken-toys made out of second hand toys, with a build your own franken-toy workshop open to the public and staffed with someone to assist children. Instead of an electronics department, a repair shop that also offers lessons in electronic repair, and a workshop and tools for public use. Instead of clothes made in overseas sweatshops, a fabric and second hand clothing store staffed with local tailors and would-be clothing designers, doing repairs and adjustments on the second-hand clothes and using them with the fabric to create whole new pieces of clothing. Our offer to the public: bring in any item of women’s clothing from anywhere, and we will add two functioning pockets for free. It would be a club, like Costco, with a small monthly fee that would help cover things like the workshop tool use, as well as encourage regular patronage. __________________________________________________
I want a genetically modified cactus or succulent that glows from bio-luminescence, to use as a night light in the bedroom or bathroom. I don’t know how to make this happen, but I keep looking into it, because MAN do I want this to happen. ___________________________________________________
Instead of people going to big sales, I want to throw a Black Friday make-your-presents party, where instructors and materials are provided for DIY christmas present projects. Tickets are sold in advance, are specific to the project (functioning as a sign-up) and the ticket price covers your materials (costs are averaged so ticket prices are all the same). The idea is, you show up for a party, head to your project space, get taught how to make the thing, and you make like, ten of them in two hours. Then you spend another couple hours eating, drinking, and trading gifts with people from the other projects, giving you a selection of about ten different gifts. ____________________________________________________
I want to make a computer-assisted table top RPG that keeps track of all the numbers and equations character movement speed and position on maps, so you can focus on the role-playing aspect (you still roll dice, but on a mat with sensors that track the result and apply your bonuses etc) ___________________________________________________
I want to do all this and so much more. I have some really cool alien fiction ideas - not the stories, but the aliens themselves, designed the right way, by creating a set of planetary conditions and then hypothesizing lifeforms likely to evolve therein... I have some energy creation process designs that utilize combinations of natural forces (like gravity/solar/tidal plants, that use all three things in a unified power production technique) which I’d love to look into further. I have a line of small pet housing I’ve sketched out, featuring tunnels connecting small pet environments in each room of the owner’s house.  I have a video game I’ve outlined and done character development for that I’m writing up as an RPG sourcebook...
___________________________________________________ I'm not saying this is genius stuff (I’m also not saying it isn’t tho) I'm just saying pursuing these thoughts is the only thing in life that commands my interest.
What I’m super tired of is trying to make my brain do anything but run on at full speed about this kind of thing, because it pretty much refuses to do anything else anyway.
I don't even care if I make any money from any of it, I just want to make it happen. ... I mean, money would be nice too, of course.
So, anyway, now if I die in my sleep at least this much of any of it is out in the world in some form. Meanwhile, I’m just a few days away from going live with the website I’ve put together to showcase my progress on this stuff and help find funding for development. A central location all of it can live and get updated. I should probably get back to working on that, actually

WESTWORLD AU
OKAY I know I’ve been working on this for a while, but I feel like I finally have a handle on it! I hope you guys like what I have! I may not explicitly list everyone, but you can guarantee that everyone is a part of this. Thanks for reading!
@the-roanoke-society
Tumblr media
Westworld is a unique experience where you can live out your fantasies set in the classical western town of Sweetwater. You’ll encounter a wide variety of characters during your time in the park, with the danger and difficulty increasing the further out you travel. In Westworld, you can truly live without limits.
A Delos Destination
There are three groups of characters:
Staff are those responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the hosts, the park, and the guest experience. They are employees of the Delos corporation and are tasked with both maintaining the current park and innovating with new updates for the hosts. Realism and complete immersion is the ultimate goal.
Guests are those fortunate individuals that have been either invited or have paid their way to Westworld (Which isn’t cheap at $40,000 per day). Upon arrival, all guests will be able to choose from a bespoke wardrobe and also various weapons as desired to carry with them while in Westworld. Once guests board the train to Sweetwater, what happens next is entirely in their control.
Hosts are next-generation synthetic beings complete with programmed emotions and tailored responses. Each host has been carefully scripted and planted to lead guests during their journey in Westworld. From the farmer’s daughter to the rogue gunslinger, all are part of a carefully planned storyline that ebbs and flows at the guest’s choosing. Do not be alarmed by their capabilities and realistic emotions. Their core code prevents them from harming guests.

Meet Our Hosts
‘Lauren’ Looking for a good time in Sweetwater, or maybe a place to rest your head? Visit the Mariposa Saloon and ask for Lauren. She’ll put you up in a room, direct you to your next adventure, or introduce you to some of her friends.
‘Jack’ New in town? Not to worry! Returning to Sweetwater after some time away is Jack, a fount of information on everything Sweetwater has to offer! If traveling alone, don’t hesitate to ask him to come along!
‘Charlie’ If you see Charlie during your travels, run away, for danger will surely follow. Proud owner of the highest bounty ever offered by the town of Sweetwater, taking him down will surely be a challenge!
Other Notable Hosts
Aly, the town doctor. Any ailment, any injury, Aly can handle it. It’s a dangerous world out there.
Kieran, the local bounty hunter. If you’re interested in pursuing some of Sweetwater’s more menacing folks, talk to Kieran, he’ll show you the way.
Prudence, the farmer’s daughter, a good companion for a scenic tour through Sweetwater and some of the surrounding scenery.
Cillian the town preacher. You can find him in the chapel, should you need his services. (Marriage officiating available upon request, requires advance notice.)
Walter, the sheriff of Sweetwater, can be found in the center of town, full of information on things to watch out for, as well as all the bounties available.
Alessandra provides a glimpse into the mystical side of Sweetwater, offering tasks for those not satisfied with traditional fare.
Joann is by far the best sharpshooter in town. Itching to try out that gun strapped to your hip? Just visit Joann outside the Mariposa Saloon and she’ll take you out to the range and get you in fine form!
Crowley, the proprietor of the town’s inn. He sees to every guest’s specific needs and desires. The inn can be located beside the Mariposa Saloon.
Rum, Charlie’s illusive partner in crime. Pulling off heists with Charlie keeps him busy, but any free time he gets, he checks in on Angela. He’ll look the other way if you do, but if you’re aiming to cause trouble, keep an eye on her.
Angela is in charge of the bar at the Mariposa Saloon, and don’t mistake her kindness for weakness. Frequently seen associating with Rum, of Charlie’s gang, it would be a mistake to get on her bad side. That said, she has many pieces of advice for newcomers.
Parker is a friendly presence in Sweetwater, and can be found by following her dog out to the edge of town. If you’re looking for information on the various hosts in town, she’s got all the information you could ask for. (If a guest needs to leave for any reason, approach Parker and inform her of the issue.)
For the main plotline concerning Charlie:
Beginner: Head out with the scouting party, including the Sheriff and/or Jack Intermediate: Request the help of Kieran to pursue the bounty Advanced: Go it alone

Meet Our Staff
Hamish MacOighre - Behavior Hamish is the lead designer of most of the interactions and their subtleties that hosts have with the guests. Constantly innovating and updating the hosts with small features and reactions that make them increasingly realistic, Hamish is the face of the cutting edge of technology when it comes to the Delos experience.
Harry Hart - Quality Assurance Always focused on the guests’ experience, Harry ensures that all aspects of the park are running smoothly and updates are integrated seamlessly. He is the be-all, end-all when it comes to decision making at the world’s most innovative experience.
Morgan MacOighre - Narrative Truly the driving force behind all of the creation and innovation that occurs in the park, Morgan creates the unique, multi-faceted plot lines that guests keep coming back for. Despite guests being completely unpredictable when given free reign, Morgan manages to surprise and enthrall even the firmest holdouts with the lure of adventure.
Jason Black - Head of Security Not to worry, the park’s hosts pose no threats to guests, but in the even there is any situation that requires caution, Jason and his team of experts are there to eliminate any threat. The safety of Westworld’s guests is of the highest importance.
Roxanne Morton - Risk Assessment Jason’s second-in-command, Roxanne is constantly monitoring the park operations to ensure that Jason and his team isn’t needed. She has pioneered the use of hosts to eliminate conflict as it arises, before things get out of hand. Truly the guests couldn’t be in better hands.
Rae Clementine - Manufacturing Every strand of hair, every plank of wood has to come from somewhere. It is all made in-house, through the manufacturing department. That horse? Created the same way the hosts have been. A new town? Built from the ground up from scratch, every detail handled with Rae’s careful eye. Working closely with narrative, Manufacturing also handles the creation of new hosts, as needed. And no one does it better.
Other Notable Staff
Eleanor Graves - Behavior Lead Hamish’s right-hand, Eleanor oversees the hosts and makes sure that they are cleared to be returned to the park. She puts them through rigorous testing and assists with implementing any new updates Hamish hands down. She has the advantage of working with the best.
Gary Unwin - Body Shop Lead Ever wonder how the hosts make it back to the park following their decommissioning? Gary and his team make certain that there’s not a hair out of place, a shoe left untied before they are sent back up to Behavior. Extracting bullets, replacing things that can’t be salvaged, and even full rebuilds as necessary, are all in Gary’s wheelhouse.
Louise Franz - Clothier As each guest arrives to the park, they pass through rooms of bespoke articles of clothing to wear during their time in the park. This is the work of Louise and her team of genius designers. Everything feels and looks accurate to Westworld, and the variety they are able to provide the guests is outstanding.
Joe Moretti - Marketing It takes a huge personality to market this caliber of an experience to the masses. Joe is responsible for outreach and influence, his friendly personality allowing him to charm potential guests as well as future investors.
Amaris O’Connell - Logistics It takes a lot to keep the park fully-functional. Supplies are needed, and the park is quite remote, taking up its own island so development can proceed unchecked. Beyond park supplies and staff, Amaris also procures food and creature comforts for the staff during their time with Delos.
Cassiel Murphy - Guest Transportation With the park being on an island, Cassiel is one of the pilots tasked with transporting guests and staff on and off the island, flying to various destinations as needed. The flight to the park is a luxurious one, and it marks the beginning of the guest’s experience.
Zed - Delos Representative An observer sent from the Delos board of directors to ensure that their vision is being carried out properly and responsibly. Has found work to be less straightforward than before upon encountering Roxanne Morton.
Incoming Guests
Party of 2: Drake  Annabelle Duration of stay: One (1) Week Itinerary: Claim to be looking for a relaxing getaway. (Will remain together during their time in the park.)
Party of 4: Connor Xander Ely Karen Duration of stay: Five (5) Days Itinerary: Looking for all the excitement and action that Westworld has to offer. (While arriving as a group, some plan to split off upon arrival to the park.)
Two late bookings, still waiting for final travel plans.
(I hope you guys like this! I did the best I could with trying to find names, etc. Now you guys can create to your heart’s content if this is interesting to you! I know I’ll be posting bits and pieces here and there when I have time! I highly recommend you watch the show if this seems interesting to you!)
