I do feel like the way Kyoshi was written in the Avatar reboot was lowkey influenced by the fandom's perception of her. Cause like in the original show she's really just portrayed as a pragmatist who's willing to kill if necessary. Like Aang is conflicted about killing the Fire Lord and she's like "well if I were in your position I'd do it but that's just me. Good luck." And then people started making memes where she's like a murderous psychopath who thinks extreme violence is always the solution. And it was funny at first cause it was just exaggerating for comedy but now everyone thinks she was actually like that in the show when she really wasn't. And then in the remake her introductory scene is her angrily yelling at this 12 year old that he needs to stop being a little pussy and be a ruthless warrior or whatever and the only explanation I can think of is that someone in the writer's room maybe looked at a few too many of those memes.

Fixed a major bug that was popping up in the new 'The Hunt' game type for today's Bloodborne Kart dev post!

I'll explain the bug in further detail below the cut, but now that the bug is fixed we have a fully playable game type, so check out a match!

The bug went like this: Randomly during gameplay during this game type, I found that some kart racers would seemingly forget how to drive and just ram into the nearest wall. Using a lot of debugging, I was able to narrow it down to 'the enemy I am targeting does not exist'

Loong story short I was able to detect when this 'brain dead' state happens & direct them to a new enemy target

This doesn't fix the source problem, (which is 'why are they targeting a null reference in the first place?') but it does address the issue, which is good enough for me!

Ya know, it's occurred to me from watching the way c!Dream talks about c!Tommy being trapped in there with him. He sounds not just glad to have company, but also like optimistic, if that makes sense. Like the "We have tons of time to bond," [46:17], "You're stuck in here with me, whether you like it or not. Okay? Whether you like it or not you're in here with me for a while. We're gonna talk. We're gonna have lots of fun. We’re gonna have lots of fun. Remember–remember when we had fun together, c!Tommy? Remember when we had fun together?–” [46:45], and the "I've changed. I’ve changed. I’ve changed–" [47:19]. He doesn’t say it in a malicious, threatening way, which certainly would be expected of him. I mean, the person who imprisoned you is now imprisoned with you, as the big bad guy that seems like some torture opportunity to me (it is the torture box after all lol ;D), but that’s not what he’s suggesting. No, he sounds adamant about change, about bonding, about talking things through. And given that the TNT Ranboo sets off to get c!Tommy trapped was a part of c!Dream’s plan, it’s very interesting that that would be his response. In fact, it’s almost as if he trapped c!Tommy in order to force them to reconcile, which very much aligns with a theory I’ve actually had for a while - what if the plan to put himself in the prison was about restoring his image.

He was renowned as the villain and everyone was after him and anyone associated with him. They all wanted his head, either because of fear or to be seen as some powerful hero who slayed the big monster. Even in the time of peace, they were plotting to kill him. All while he really just wanted peace and friendship, but he can’t exactly have that when everyone hates him and wants to kill him. Sure, he could seclude himself like Techno, but he didn’t want that. He wanted to be back in the fold.

And he doesn’t want to die, but clearly, they were never going to be satisfied until they destroy him. So, he lets them, and he forms a plan for him to be redeemed in the eyes of the server. He makes a prison so they can defeat him and he gets to live. And he makes the conditions horrible so they a) don’t suspect it was his plan and b) so they feel satisfied with his punishment. He makes it super secure so a) people can’t just get in to kill him, b) so they won’t suspect he’s there willingly (he’s very powerful after all), and everyone can feel safe from him. But he implements an extensive visitor system ("I just don’t want to ever be alone.") so now people can feel safe enough to visit him, and without weapons being involved, work through their issues. The idea being that everyone can come talk to him (which they were too scared or angry to do before) and see how he’s not so scary after all. So, that they then can ultimately release him and he can be a part of society again, now that he’s changed. The prison than was a way to de-villainize himself, so he was no longer the enemy.

Meaning, his favor with c!Techno was a backup plan, and that’s why he didn’t set up a system to get the message to c!Techno sooner, he planned on being let out. He just didn’t plan for things to go so wrong and for people to be so cold…

If I don't lose motivation for it, there's going to come a point in Interlude where Frederick, who has since been nicknamed Badguy by like the US government or whatever for blowing up Gear research facilities, introduces himself as just "Badguy" to someone, somewhere, and I'm going to have to contend with the fact that he very probably said it with a straight face and full, unblinking, eye contact.

It's so silly. He's got to know that's a silly name to go by. "Yeah I'm a bounty hunter and I blow shit up because I'm a real Bad Dude™️." Come on... But also... Sol does have a really dorky sense of humor so... Maybe that's the joke. He knows it's goofy and he's forcing everyone else to use it but then he used it for too long and the goofy factor has long worn off except now he's stuck with it

the best way to get better at anatomy and proportion is to do some life studies. there are a lot of sites you can use that will give you (generally) good poses to work with. if its at all possible for you though i Definitely recommend taking a life drawing course. one of my favorite classes was the life drawing class i took where i was the Only actual student in the class and everyone else were people in their 60s+ just taking it for fun. my prof was incredible and would give us really great demonstrations and knowledge about skeletal and muscular structures. also the models we got in class were way more diverse than a lot of the models online sites use

life studies can be hard when you first start though. it really helps to understand sighting (which is where you use your pen/fingers to figure out angles and sizes and stuff). heres a more detailed explanation

i did some figure studies the other day and i left a lot of my sighting lines. i use them not only to figure out the angles of limbs but also to help me keep things in proportion. ALSO watch your negative spaces!! that will help you get forms/proportion right too

there are also a lot of "proportion rules" that can help you when just drawing bodies without a reference. A Lot of rules.... the face alone has So many..

when i draw figures without a reference (which is..most of the time..) i think in terms of tubes. really helps with foreshortening (so do contour lines). but i still operate under the guidelines i learned from life drawing in terms of proportions/muscle/bone structure. ive gotten to the point where i just eyeball it while sketching but if something looks wrong i just check my proportions. the more you do it the more second nature it becomes which helps you focus on learning new parts of anatomy. i usually draw these figures first then just draw clothes over them, which then helps with folds/draping and stuff like that

i hope this is understandable lol............ these are all just the vague rules i remember im sure theres so many more and i am still learning myself but i hope this helps you get started. trying to find good proportion sheets/tips online can be hard and just result in some really basic stuff like the 7/8 heads tall rule which is sometimes 7.5 and i just 😵 not helpful, especially since its not even always correct. i still basically use the same general rule but slightly modified (in red). in green are some proportion rules i know (plus a couple in red), and in blue is just a little more detail

again if you have the opportunity at all i Really recommend taking a life drawing class. you might be able to find some good videos on youtube or something too. ALSO look at yourself in the mirror a lot! like really analyze yourself, the length of your limbs, where your hands fall, how wide your shoulders are, stuff like that. just Look. whenever im stuck on a pose i always go and pose in a mirror for reference. in general im always just trying to learn from the world around me :)
