I think it's really funny that out of 3zun the one that probably likes drinking alcohol the most is in fact Lan Xichen.

Nie Mingjue canonically doesn't like drinking very much. Qinghe alcohol is probably effective for use as paint stripper so he might have a decent tolerance, he just doesn't enjoy it.

Jin Guangyao has likely deliberately worked up the exact tolerance he needs to drink a socially appropiate amount of alcohol at events without actully getting drunk, because I think the act of not being of sound mind in public is like a horror movie to him.

But Lan Xichen. Lan Xichen invented a whole new cultivation trick just to bypass his family's "one sip and we pass the fuck out" piss poor tolerance gene so he can drink as much alcohol as he wants. This man wants to go get white girl drunk with his sworn brothers so bad and neither of them are into it please pray for him.

some simple (but plentiful!!!) sprites for you all today. just some outfit swaps! the alpha kids did not get nearly enough cool outfits, so i decided to see what they'd look like with some modified beta kid outfits. some look decent, but others look very nice! i also did it the other way around too, because whynot.

*breathes* Okay I finally listened to the teen talk proper, no longer just specific clips and reading other people's summaries of things, and can I just say I wish I'd done this a week ago, cause I definitely feel better about some things now, and it's a pretty entertaining teen talk overall (since this episode is available on the site anyways I'll probably clip some specific bits soon to highlight!). Regarding Sparrow and Norm specifically there's definitely more nuance to what is actually said than what a lot of the recaps/paraphrasing I've seen here had me thinking (for one as a Sparrow freak with a lot of Opinions, knowing that Will immediately follows the bit on Normal's interpretation of the love wolf scene with "but that's not necessarily right cause that's not necessarily what Sparrow is feeling" would have spared me a lot of psychic damage, personally, but also on the topic of Normal's future I mean I'll still be picking and choosing from what was said I won't pretend I love all of it but I think the whole discussion and depiction of it is more nuanced and optimistic than much of what I've seen on that front too). You might expect that I, Baba "I like overtly disagreeing with popular fandom opinions" C. Multitudes would think twice before taking fandom interpretations of something for granted, but I didn't, so honestly fuck me I guess. Still side-eyeing a lot of fandom takes but Will Campos you are free to go 😌. Otherwise Matt's discussion of the gothcleats in the epilogue and everything Will had to say about Nicky gave me life, but I'll clip that stuff soon like I said and *maybe* say more on some of that then lol.

A few thoughts about the recent starkid news:

1) BRYCE CHARLES AS THE LEAD fhdnxkksbzbsn

I can't wait to see more of Bryce. She's so talented, and I can't wait to see her in a lead role. I know we all know she's a great singer, but I think her acting is really incredible, and often overlooked. Her performances as Shapiro and Rose were some of my personal favorites.

2) Really excited for some high-fantasy. As much as I love hatchetfield, I'm really excited to see other genres than just horror.

3) Evil mom puppet. Idk what this means, but I love it.

4) Space Baby is coming soon (it's a pilot, right? I don't really remember, but I'm still excited)

5) I'm still not convinced that the thing Jon, Mariah, and Angela (and probably others) were shooting earlier this month was related to the new musical (and Curt confirmed that it wasn't Space Baby either). The way Jon referenced his Uber driver being Paul really seemed like he was hinting at it being a Hatchetfield thing. I'm not ruling out nmt season 3, but I don't want to get my hopes up too high since it seems like their working on a lot right now. Still, it's not unheard of for them to crowdfund multiple projects at the same time, so it's still a possibility. That leads me to;

6) it's probably going to be a while before the musical is actually produced. I imagine the April announcement will be the kickstarter campaign. Then obviously they have to book venues and rehearsal spaces and stuff, and of course actually rehearse. At the earliest, I would guess the show will run around the end of this year, and the proshot will come next spring or summer, but it may be even later. I just think this is good to keep in mind, so we don't get too far ahead of ourselves.

Overall, a lot of cool things are happening, and I'm very excited about them.
