Bangs head on my desk. Its sooooo fucking hard I have literally most of the LMK fandom blocked and I still can’t fucking escape that mid ass pairing I want to explode. Honest to god it sucks because I actually like analyzing LEMH and Sun wukong’s dynamic when it comes to the original story and like the idea of a character trying so hard to be this other person they just fundamentally erase any aspect of who they could be. That shit is interesting (especially if you interpret the two as actual family bc there’s a level of. Tragedy there) but NOOO mfs wanna focus on shipping clones/siblings together instead and painfully writing both characters ooc instead of just making an oc good fucking god. ( that being said I really like the art you draw of LEMH. It’s really cool. Keep up the good work 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾)

BUT YEAH YEAH YEAH to this day one of the things I find most baffling about the western monkie kid & jttw fandom is this widespread refusal to even recognize LEMH's actions in the og classic. Because it's like: here we have what could very well be one of literature's first instances of the "evil twin" trope and it's being done SPECIFICALLY in a way to create the maximum amount of conflict and uncertainty for SWK!

Because on one hand the false monkey of the true and false monkey king arc is essentially the very embodiment of everything that SWK ever wanted; LEMH, in copying SWK so completely, does it in such a way where he gets to be both a yaoguai warlord with a loving family AND a holy pilgrim bound for glory at the exact same time, whereas SWK is constantly being forced to choose between the two! But LEMH's also doing it in the worst way possible! He beats Tang Sanzang into unconsciousness, steals their stuff for his own use, and in so doing drives a serious rift between SWK and the pilgrims!

He clearly doesn't give af about the Mt. Huaguoshan monkeys outside of how they can serve as his personal tools to fulfill his own aims! He just wants them to use their own powers of transformation so that they can serve as his own obedient group of pilgrims! He even eats one of them as part of a merry feast he throws for himself after a violent encounter with Sha Wujing, and immediately has that monkey replaced with another! And he's doing ALL of this wearing SWK's face and adapting SWK's mannerisms! EVERYONE thinks that it's SWK doing these things! It's like LEMH's very existence is throwing it in SWK's face how this horrible version of himself is closer to achieving ALL of SWK's desires than SWK ever was, and that no matter how much SWK tries to change for the better even the two sides of his beloved family automatically think even this version which would inflict such violence on them is the "true" him! No wonder SWK hated him so much!

And AUGH the possibility of LEMH either being a manifestation of SWK's worst impulses or of being his brother just ramps the tragedy and horror of this situation even more! Like if it was part of SWK inflicting all this pain on the people SWK loves most, well there is truly something messed up about this situation where even if it's not technically "you" going along with your worst impulses they will still hurt people! Could you ever trust yourself again? Should you? How much of the blame for this situation lies with you? And can it be enough to fully acknowledge you have violent impulses but don't act on them?

And yes @the-bitter-ocean even in interpretations where LEMH is some random yaoguai who decides to commit identity fraud the story from his point of view of him throwing away his identity so completely that there's basically nothing left of him is just...goddamn. In his ambition he literally reduced himself to one part of SWK's story, just one more obstacle for the Monkey King to overcome.

And SCREAM if LEMH was SWK's brother? Imagine this situation where for SWK he's confronted by what is essentially the culmination of his failures to protect his family, where his beloved brother (I'm saying beloved because SWK loved all members of his monkey family very much) ended up despising SWK so much that he has essentially destroyed everything that he was or could have been in his bid to be the "real" monkey king and bring glory back to that name, but does so in the worst way possible to the point where SWK feels he has to take down LEMH himself. And then for LEMH, you can see how love and admiration for his brother would be twisted into resentment, envy, obsession, and hatred due to the series of atrocities the Mt. Huaguoshan simians faced in large part as a consequence of SWK's challenge to the heavens and his own sense of entitlement, so that eventually he convinced himself he would be a more "true" monkey king than the monkey king himself, and thus completely discarded his own identity to take on that of his brother, and in doing so basically tossed his own morals given how his "version" of the monkey king cares for no one but himself.

Sorry for the rant! But all the pieces for a whole series of interesting tragedies are! Already! Right! There!!!!! Why are we all so hellbent on ignoring/rewriting them!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Hello Tumblr I'm not dead. Life has sucked ass but I'm too mad and it's too much to describe so somewhat NSFW and cringe COD OC art dump under the cut. Came up with this in a day. This entire sketch was cause I was bored, waiting for my phone to charge and it took FOREVVERRR to even come to life so I decided to sketch/jot down ideas 4 my Little Army Dreamers Fallout (only the show cause I'm weak) inspired AU which. Is a lot.

So I will post screenshots of a synopsis and make a separate blog to post my stuff unless the COD ppl are rocking with me. Anyway um. Here's some doodles out of the way. Shitty ones first 2 build up expectations cause I'M SOO out of practice but anyway pls give me attention I need it m so proud of myself I wanna put these on the fridge....(NOT THIS))

Mr stick figure Riley. Ugh. Not very happy with the face but basically. 19 year old rookie goes through shit within a three year span, gets drunk at a banquet hall 2 weeks after a grueling mission bc Price dragged my super cool, war criminal self insert there 2 cool off. Kid goes off on a room full of Generals and royalty and corporate oligarchs and then while he's drunken and coked up and he can barely move and shit, he starts WWIII. In the fucking hall. And the BIG goal is to blow up the Pentagon (IN COD, FBI AGENTS IN COD) to stop them from dropping the big atomic bomb and they have FIVE DAYS to do it!!!.

And this is AFTER the NPD, OCD Autism and more ridden Sargeant goes from fuckin. Scared rookie, to respected team player, to a fierce Sargeant, to the most hated man in the WORLD. All because he didn't wanna go to a stupid fucking party. Anyway here it goes hope this is at least interesting. I **will** make a series. Whether it's an OC/self insert or a reader insert or even new characters to make it super my own. But I hope you guys like it. I'll shut up now and please be nice about any constructive criticism lmao.

- the only people who know abt his past are earl, grace, faith and john, the rest just kinda speculate and elliot lets them believe what they want bc not only does he rlly not want ppl to know the actual truth, it's also very funny to listen to the stuff they can come up with

- speaking of faith he often seeks her for advice and sometimes they get high together and he gets teary eyed bc she's just... very nice to him and when all you see everyday is violence it's overwhelming to be shown a little bit of kindness 🥲🙏🏼

- he's in love with john but also he'd kick him across the county if he could but also he'd give his life for him

- after the bombs and all he unlocks his final form and becomes A Husband™, complete with a beard, a scarf and bad jokes that make john want to officially marry him so he can divorce his ass

- fun fact i came up with the name elliot fletcher bc i thought it sounded neat but recently i found out there's a trans actor called elliot fletcher too??? like what were the odds ngl that's so cool

- his parents are peter quill and kitty pryde and he inherited his mom's powers (so he can become immaterial and stuff uwu) and his dad's tiny pebble brain~

- he grew up on a ship with the guardians so his family is just... a bunch of uncles, one of which is a tree

- he's part of an initiative called the peacekeepers with isaaq cage (luke cage's and jessica jones' son), finneas "zorn" reeves (brock rumlow's and sinthea shmidt's son), lu "highway star" khan (the mandarin's son), alexis "hex" pythagoras (doctor strange's protégé) and ev-lin (ronan the destroyer's daughter who also happens to be carter's bully when they were 11 HHHHHH)

- everyone agrees that carter is just... a puppy. a little labrador. so overexcited. head empty. he doesn't know what's going on but he's having fun with his friends and that's what matters <3

- he died once and went to hell for like 66 years bc he held a bomb while it was exploding but he got better and he doesn't remember most of his time in hell but also he's a lil traumatised

- he wears cute skirts sometimes and also froggie themed clothes 🥰🥰 he's terrible at applying nail polish and it ends up smudged most of the time bc he can't sit still for more than two minutes without going insane but he still likes it

- he has a pet bird called ink!! he thought it was a nice name bc his last name is quill so u know,,, ink,,, quill,,,, he inherited his dad's terrible humor also

- idk what else to say abt him except like two games ago he was in the hospital bc lu got hurt and he wanted to get him muffins from a coffee shop across the streets but he panicked when faced with the selection so he bought one of each and came back to the hospital room with like,,,, twenty muffins

- took his love of the economy to the next level when he decided to fuck every gang leader he could find to control their operations and ruin their organizations so the money they hoarded could be put back in circulation

- accidentally fell in love with a half-orc gang leader and was abt to tell him the truth abt what he was doing but was exposed by the first person he'd cheated so he had to run without explaining himself to his lover smh ://

The TL;DR is p much: this year kinda sucked major donkey ass, but at least I got a lot of ideas/art out of it ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ

Everyone’s going on about how short this year was for them or how fast it flew by... but tbh it couldn’t go by fast enough for me lmao. So much bad shit happened in the first half of the year, but I’m just glad that’s over with. Here’s hoping 2019′s the better year when we can move (for real this time)!

Idk if I’d say I progressed with my art a whole lot, but I definitely got better with Procreate after 4 months of using p much just that for my art 8D I did a lot more ‘silly’ stuff (the drawing a whole comic around the ‘MOM HOLY FUCK’ meme is my fave) and just like... doing my own shit, which was very refreshing. Latter half of the year... kinda fell off that train a bit. My bad.

The bad gets balanced out tho! I took on a couple small commissions this year, and one big one for a friend of mine that I have yet to show off. I got enough money from that to get my grubby hands on my first *true* pen display for my PC, which makes art on my PC WAY less of a chore now.

And I mean, we have our stuff back and I haven’t fallen behind on my loan payments, so not all is bad :)

Uhhh honestly it’s just been an all-over-the-place kinda year for me, but at least I got a LOT of content done for it! I have a metric shit-ton of sketches (compilations (yes, plural) are coming soon lmao) and a bunch of documents with writing for stuff I was super into this year!

My biggest regret was discouraging myself from making content for fandoms. That, and also letting myself get envious over people just... enjoying themselves in a fandom? Talk about being a buzzkill when u can’t see two ppl chat and not immediately get a bit jealous lmao

I really think it’s just like... I’m sorta deprived socially? If that makes sense? I talk to the same 3 people all year, I don’t really leave the house at all, and I just wish I knew more ppl that were into the stuff *I* am... but I can’t bring myself to get out there and talk to ppl. Drives me nuts. I’m also always apologizing for everything when talking (passionately) about stuff with my friends and like... that’s not okay? I shouldn’t have to feel obligated to apologize for p much existing. That’s just how I am. And that’s okay.

**I’m bringing that all up because whether I like it or not, it’s played a big part in my year and sorta altered what I was drawing/writing at one point.

For 2019, I just wanna be kinder to myself, and lower my expectations. That sounds bad, I know, but I set the bar WAY too high for myself, and I got short legs, yo. I can’t jump that high :’)

Also, I gotta get back into drawing hot chicks. Like, whatever happened to that? (I was drawing boys, that’s what - how terribly shocking)

I had a series/goal in mind to (at some point) do portraits of female characters from my childhood/that I’m v nostalgic about... maybe 2019′s the year? ;)
