So I’m in a bit of a mood for sadness.

Impactor and megatron ended up having a sparkling in the mines. She was a femme and impactor took the most responsibility over her. Unfortunately during a riot in the mines the young spark was crushed by some unruly miners. Megatron Al way blamed himself for riling up the miners with his words of freedom. Ratchet was put in charge of a young medic not to much older then a sparkling and unusually short for his frame type but he worked hard and was always willing to help in ratchets free clinic after hours. Rachet was called away to the senate leaving his young apprentice to close the clinic for the night. Unfortunately that night some thugs broke in looking for some kind of drugs rachet never really found out what ones when he returned to the clinic the next day his apprentice was dead on the floor his injuries partially repaired. From that day on ratchet pushed his friends away to scared that primus would rip them away with no warning. Hot rod was friends with a lot of people in nyon bot his best friend was another racer. His friend was really good at getting out of trouble and had a love for exploring the underside of cybertron. Hit rod went to find his friend one day and found him at the beginning of a tunnel collapsed and barely online. At the medical clinic hot rod was informed that his friends spark was not big enough for his frame and he would continue to deteriorate. When sentinel came to nyon hot rods friend was unable to leave his apartment hot rod got one last word from his friend as he set of the charges ‘you’ve freed us all’. Rodimus keeps this words engraved on the back of his chest plating beer his spark as a reminder that his people never hated him for setting them free.

In another universe there a boy who is friends with a prime he loves going fast and is the only human to explore the underside of cybertron. But there’s always something he feels is wrong when he looks at the prime he feels there should be once instead of blue a smiling face instead of a face stressed by the war. There is a boy who is unusually short for his age who follows a medic around learning all he knows he makes friends with those less fortunate and always has a helping had ready. He doesn’t like to be Akon and is always warry around bots who are overcharged. There is a girl who I sent afraid of anything and wants nothing more then to be strong and to protect those she loves. She listens to all the story’s she’s told but loves the ones about a miner who joined the opposite side of all those he knew to become the leader of the best squad in there vast army. These kids who the autobots think where brought into there live unexpectedly feel more at home with cybertronins and they may never know why.

Me after the MOTA finale

My longest (spoilery) ep discussion yet under the cut:

There was…so much, this episode and I’m still raw and emotional. What a rollercoaster. Damn.

First just want to say we got some scenes we wanted like Crosby losing his shit over the locked supply room! 10/10 loved it and Rosie yelling “coca-cola” at the Russians will never not be funny.

I couldn’t breathe in the forced march. And Bucky’s state is still bad and Gale stayed so close. The prisoners getting shot by their own plane was horrible, and happened a lot. Can you imagine surviving years in a camp just to get killed like that?

The scene where the prisoners are in the train goddamn killed me i was not expecting such a sudden shift. Bucky comforting the one guy who was terrified. Them being convinced they were going to be killed and Gale and Bucky’s little exchange??? Gale saying he really did believe they would be the last two in the air, with that horrible lost expression like a kid who can’t understand? Them saying these years wpild have be hard without the other and they wouldn’t have done anything different?

Omg Gale really did say he’s “in” for an escape just to get Bucky to calm down and not get shot 😭

Gale looks so much younger with his fluffy escape hair it makes me sad, and his heartbroken look when his friend got killed…

Let’s talk about Rosie for a second. That scene of him in the concentration camp was so powerful because there was no words, nothing happening, no action/reaction like so many other films. You just sit there with Rosie and realize. Seeing that writing on the wall was…well of course there’s no words. That’s the point.

“Not even the earth that covers our bones will remember us.” The power of that statement sucker punched me and drove home even more determination to keep doing what I’m doing in historical work etc., telling these stories.

THE WAY I FLIPPED MY SHIT WHEN WE SAW THE COMMONWEALTH TROOPS IN THE LAST CAMP!!???! The Indian and Caribbean pilots??? The Sikhs!?? The Australians!!! The Algerians and French colonials??! In love

The last camp riot when the tanks showed up was SO INTENSE and amazing. And honestly the best symbolism of the show was the Nazi flag getting torn up but the mix of all nations that fought, then seeing all the different flags flying as the guys cheered.

Gale’s longing look when he saw the planes dropping food instead of bombs broke my heart. His smiles getting back in the plane and taking the food, seeing the people happy to be helped instead of scared/angry of being attacked. THIS BOY HAS MY HEART.

Bucky in the tower and in the Jeep along side Gale’s plane was TRAIN SLAM OF EMOTION MY GOD.

OF COURSE BUCKY WOULDNT LET THEM SHIP GALE’S LOCKER

Their smiles in the cockpit together, real, sweet smiles after all this time, and ending with all the planes flying away into that gorgeous sky…I have no words. It’s been such an emotional journey and was a powerful ending. I still feel like I could burst into tears any minute.

I finally got around to reading Convergence and I was honestly rather disappointed with how they characterised Viktor. I know that Convergence is an AU, but still. Comparing it to his characterisation in "House on Emberflit Alley", Convergence Viktor is much more emotional - to the point that all of his major character beats are driven by emotion, he cares less about the lives of people he is supposedly trying to help with his augmentations (even being fine with them being used as cannon fodder). I couldn't see the Viktor written in Convergence helping Naph. I could see Convergence Viktor actually replacing Naph's head with a metal one, instead of shrugging off the wild imaginations of people who fear change. Convergence Viktor is simultaneously less true to who the Machine Herald is meant to be, and truer to the horror stories that Fisher folk tell their kids to make them behave. It's sad seeing him get done like that.

Oh, you’re not alone there. I don’t think any of us were real happy about how dirty they did Viktor in Convergence. Just kinda seemed like they needed a completely morally bankrupt villain, and they molded Viktor to fit the bill. It just kinda… gave us all whiplash. Like, since his LoL release, they’ve retconned him to be less of a villain and more of a tragic victim. At the base of all of his stories, he wants to help the people of Zaun—to help make their lives and their jobs easier, to make living there safer. And while yes, he does go about it wrong sometimes, gets blinders on and gets into a pattern of thinking “my way is the best way, and they will come to see that whether they like it or not.” But generally speaking, Riot has done the work of creating depth in his character. Are there holes, sometimes massive ones? Yes. It’s Riot. But he’s come a long way from the generic mad scientist they released.

And then to go and do this? Completely strip him of his motivations, his goals, and just slap him back into the role of mad scientist. It was like… ten steps backward. (And I’m not saying I didn’t like Convergence. I was honestly happy to have new Viktor content and some of the panels were memeable as FECK.) I was also glad to see the Jayce and Viktor rivalry getting new content as well (although on that front they did Jayce kinda dirty too… like, he spoke several times to Ekko about how he’d “killed” Viktor, and he just… didn’t seem to care all that much. I know comics are a different medium, and you can’t jam pack all the micro expressions into every frame like you can with animation. But still… Jayce talked about killing Viktor like it was just another banal task on a Tuesday. Come on… these two were partners for a long time. I know there’s contention now, and perhaps the care is even gone. But there are people I’ve had falling outs with that I wouldn’t give the time of fucking day to… but I don’t want them to die. I don’t want to kill them as easily as swatting a fly on the wall.)

In the end Convergence was about Ekko coming to grips with the consequences of time travel. They needed something scary, something that Ekko’s family and friends could get involved in without compromising their characters. And they chose body augments. I just feel like this story could have been told just slightly differently, and it wouldn’t have thrown both Viktor and Jayce under the bus. Like… make it Van Klegg who wanted the mind-controlling tech put into all the augments. Maybe even Viktor doesn’t know about it. And of course misunderstandings arise, conflict happens, Viktor is still painted as the villain, but he’s not, he didn’t know, but no one believes that. This route could have at least maintained a semblance of the growth Viktor’s character has made.

IDK. I don’t hate Convergence, I’m just kinda indifferent. It’s an AU, and I’m gunna treat it that way—he’s not the Viktor we know and love. Same with Jayce. So I’ll enjoy it for what it is—amazing art of my favs I can ogle when I’m starved for content between now and S2 of Arcane.

Happy Audio Drama Sunday! What a week of listening! These shows have snuck into my home and forcefully knocked off my socks. 🧦💥

🌲@hellofromthehallowoods (132) SPOILERS! OooOOOOHH My GOd. This is why HFTH is one of the absolute best shows out there. I thought (assumed) two things about the narrative here. One was that Walt was, truly, dead and his death (and staying dead) was what heightened the risk of everyone else dying - not everyone comes back! The show has also done a beautiful job of showing how the actions of a kind person can be their legacy and cause little ripples long after they’re gone. But, it would seem, I’m getting my favourite character back 😭 even only to make it hurt more when he goes off into the sky doom whirlpool. I sobbed like a fucking baby when I realised Daphne was there too. The other thing I thought I understood was that Riot wasn’t going to die. I don’t know why. She was just the first character we met and the final girl energy is outrageous. I don’t know if I can cope with hearing Clara and everyone find her body. Or, god, Olivier 😭. Help. 

Oh, there was just so much going on in this episode. Polly and Yaretzi being incredible as always and Jacob Wicker giving his mother the HARD TRUTH. (And then having a little arson as a treat) PLEASE, if you’re not listening to Hello From the Hallowoods, you really, really need to!!

Chefs kiss mc written wonderfully WITHOUT the typical overly used cliches as much as I love a stupid mc sometimes it’s quite an overused trope I feel where it’s the teehee dummy reader so again, this was refreshing LOL (I always love how you give your y/ns substance as characters and like humans..?? Like they all feel like actual people and aren’t your just your average w*ttp*d UwU MCs…I mean writers have to start somewhere so maybe I should stop bashing them like this but uh)

Honestly it’s such an interesting language which is why it takes me a bit to translate/transcribe sometimes because I can’t capture the underlying meanings or emotions as well in English LMAOO (the first time I tried was the hiori light novel and finding the correct phrasing was definitely a learning curve LOL) but omg slay you’re outperforming people living in the motherland!! That’s honestly really impressive, do you get to speak it frequently?

In elementary school, Kenyu was an honor student. Although he was a little cowardly, he was first and foremost, a kind, hard-working kid. he always did his homework and happily greeted everyone. Got along well with his peers and never fought. He was someone that both his classmates and teachers could rely on. When it was time to choose class president, Tomoda nominated him, and everyone joined in agreeing to nominating Kenyu. But after half a year, something shocking had occurred.

Little by little Kenyu had become better friends with his seatmate Tomoda, frequently going to his house after school. Tomoda had a kind sister three years their senior. She would often give them candy and play games with them. One day, Kenyu had gone over to play with Tomoda, to be told by his older sister that he hadn’t gotten home yet and was possibly taking a detour. She told Kenyu to go ahead and wait upstairs for him, but he wondered if maybe he was meeting with other friends in the park. He wondered if he too should go to the park, but it’d be troublesome if he had assumed incorrectly. While he was lost in his thoughts, Tomoda’s sister suddenly came up to him and brushed away his bangs. His hair had always been soft, and his mom had always helped him style it, so the Tomoda’s sister had always complemented him, saying his hair made him look so handsome like a model. It wasn’t unusual for her to touch his hair, but that wasn’t all that happened that day. In addition, she kissed his forehead. His eyes widened as his brain was left short-circuiting. “Huh?”

“My beloved Kenyu, let’s play together” she had said with sparkling eyes. Kenyu could feel his heart racing. “…I’ve gotta go to the park..!” His face turned bright red and he ran out. He didn’t end up, going to the park, but instead of ran back home to his room, waiting for his racing heart to still.

“My beloved Kenyu” He had repeated her words in his mind. he didn’t really understand it all, but he was happy that she said she liked him. He was a bit embarrassed, though that she had kissed him. He thought himself, “I’m never telling anyone about this.”

The handsome class president and honor student. By the time he became a second year, he had grown taller, adding to his versatility in giving him athletic potential. as he continued growing, he came to be one of the tallest in his grade. He was fast at running, and he was always the last one left in dodgeball. Then, of course, came Sports Day. After comparing all the times in their PE Class, Kenyu’s high ranking had gotten him chosen for the relay race. Everyone was in agreement. He was tall, fast and the perfect fit for the job. He was to be the anchor for the relay race. Was it really all right for him to play such an important role? he felt a bit uneasy, but he would give his best once again for the people relying on him. Until the day of the sports festival, Kenyu would run every day. He’d wake up early to run and practice dashes on the field after school. Every Sunday, he’d have his father time him. Finally, it was time for the class relay. Under the clear sky, the fastest runners would compete while the cheer squads cheered them on. Kenyu’s class, 2-1, however, would compete in vain. After each grouping, members of his team would slip down the ranks. By the time Kenyu got the baton he was in last place. There is a huge gap between him and the top, all the people running in front of him are the fastest in their class after all. But Kenyu had to try his best. Everyone had chosen him as anchor after all. He steadily started accelerating, passing by another player in just a quick moment. With his large physique moving vigorously and his feet firmly stomping against the ground, he gradually closed the gap between the other runners. His classmates all cheered for him, and as they continued supporting him, he continued gaining speed. Even the announcer from the broadcasting club got caught up in the excitement. With the loud cheers under the blue sky, Kenyu passed the final goal, bursting past the four other racers and finishing first. It’s the first time he’d ever run so fiercely. His chest heaved as he caught his breath. Kenyu had finished first for the sixth graders. His classmates had showered him with praise, wearing a big smiles on their faces as they crowded around him. Kenyu thanked them for their support, feeling that their cheers had powered him on. Kenyu was honest and sincere. He didn’t know he could run that fast. It’s because everyone had believed in him that he was able to discover a new part of him. To Kenyu, it was an incredibly joyous moment. A few days after that, when he got home, a shiny soccer ball was waiting for him in the doorway. Kenyu was surprised and had wondered what it was for. His parents had thought it would be good for him to give soccer a try, seeing how he was so fast. It would make him more popular too. After seeing that their child had such amazing speed they suggested that he try out a sport and bought him a soccer ball. Of course his mother also wanted to see him popular. Immediately, Kenyu went outside and tried kicking the ball. As he ran with the ball, he found that he couldn’t stop. He’d kick it forward and chase after it continuing on. “This is fun!”, he thought to himself. In all honesty, being able to dribble without losing speed is a technique that’s difficult for beginners, but Kenyu, blessed with incredible athletic ability, was able to do it from the start. That’s how Kenyu “met” soccer, his parents had blessed him with the opportunity. As if it was fate, Kenyu found himself absorbed in soccer.

i do enjoy writing a good old dumb/oblivious reader every now and again but i do think they have to be done right to feel believable!! personally all of my y/ns and mcs are based off of aspects of my own personality — some closer to my actual self than others ofc — which i think makes it easier to flesh them out because it’s just like “okay what would i do in that situation” LMAOO most of my side character ocs are based off of people i know too which again makes it easier to make them feel complex because it’s like “right so how would ___ react to that happening to them”…sometimes they end up not even being that similar (tullia in pomegranate ink is NOTHING like my irl best friend that she’s “based off of”) but just thinking of them as real people helps me treat them as such in the narrative!!

haha yes everyone does start somewhere so i never try to hate to their faces but i think it’s okay to acknowledge a general trend/pattern!! like there’s a difference between saying “your specific fic sucks i hate how you wrote your main character” versus being like “i think a lot of fics in x fandom have this problem with characterization”!! to me it’s not hate because people can decide whether that applies to them or not yk?? and yeah the wattpad uwu mcs are truly smth…or the ones that are meant to be “badass” but are really just loud/rude/make overly sexual jokes and swear a lot 😭 a lot of the times at first it’s easy to make characters as stereotypes/caricatures of themselves or have them composed of cliches but i do think most people grow out of it i quickly!! just a phase we must all go through i suppose…i will be the first to say i was cringe when i started writing that’s why half of my old works are private now 😩

The investigations are a bit short and Wimmessir’s guilt came a bit out of nowhere (In terms of evidence. I had suspicions from her behavior, but Apollo’s accusation and the purple hair was a bit abrupt) It felt like everyone turned against her rather quickly, and not much could really prove her involvement, but her execution was well done

This was great, but I kept thinking of the ways a reader would fit into the story which really shows the type of person I am (I write too many x readers lmao)

Ofc because I just started vet school last week (yay) I couldn’t attend in person. Really sad I couldn’t attend because I’ve always loved it when I went to the 2017 and 2018 events. Had to watch the stream, but it look like from pictures everyone had tons of fun and I’m glad it was a success. Next year, please let it be closer to the middle of the summer akdjejak

Art panel, the highlight for me as always as an artist myself. Really cool to see all the concept works from way back in Dark Sector. I’m so sad the art book was so expensive and sold out so fast, but I hope this means they can be inspired to do a reprint in the future (maybe when food expenses arent draining my bank like a whirlpool….) The new upcoming concepts I can’t say I’m a fan of all too much. Grendel is my most hated frame but the boar is a cool inpiration for him. I personally think the game is very oversaturated with Liger concepts, so as per most Liger deluxes Sevagoth wasn’t my cup of tea. They designed the frame, why not have someone else take a shot as his deluxe? I didn’t catch who designed Yareli’s bu that one was interesting.

And….. the Heirloom skins collection. They’re pretty. I though Mag’s was for Nova and got too excited for a bit. And as a Frost main I’m always glad for more content containing him, hell I squint at his skin because it has a few elements that are strikingly similar to my Deluxe concept for him back in 2021. But. The price. I want to buy it, but this entire collection pitch is exactly what Digital Extremes has vow to not do in all 10 years with their fair free to play model, and this sets a very bad precedent if it were to continue. $90 USD is too high of a price for a pack of skins marketed as being in celebration of 10 years, inflated artificially with the Regal Aya. A pack of 6 (with an extra bonus, making 7 total and 400 platinum) is $40 which means everything in the second tier pack is only $30. The same price as the low tier. The only new thing the skins intoduce are the Signas, which are cool, but I gesture to Kaithe coronets. The skins have no new visual effects for abilities, no new animations, not even new idles like recent Deluxe skins have. Rebecca used the word “prestigious” for describing the pack. And I beg her to NEVER use that word again for cosmetics. Prestigious content is a very slippery slope. Take the Prestige skins from League. Because of those skins Riot is now thinking they can make a variant recolor of a very old Jhin legendary and mark the price up to $200. Warframe doesn’t need that. Not to mention the FOMO. The Heirloom pack is gone at the end of the year. Even past Prime Access comes back in Resurgence after a few years. Nightwave brings back old items from past story events. The only thing that has never returned was the Founders Packs, for a good reason. The Heirloom collection feels like a rehash of the Founders marketing in the present state of them game where it’s most likely not trying to stay afloat. FOMO has never existed in Warframe, and it shouldn’t be added now.

Don’t even get me started on that 10 year Accolade in the packs. Accolades have usually been for people who made a notable contribution to the game. Founders, Closed Beta testers, Creators. All of them have some sort of impact on the game be it keeping it afloat in the starting year or contributing to the Community. Now a shiny sticker can be added to any account for as low as $30. I’ve been playing the game for 8 years. I’m not a ‘10 year supporter’ yet. The wording itself insinuates that to supoort the game for a decade, you need to pay. That Accolade should have been something added automatically when your account turns 10 years old.

Overall I’m extremely disappointed bu the Heirloom marketing as it stands. Will I buy it down the road? Chances are high when I’m not bleeding for food with school going on, which is at the very end of the year right before it goes away cause I also give into FOMO. DE has adjusted their strategies before, and I hope they do so now. But this has already set a bad first impressions for any future Heirloom content.

Anyway, rant over on that. Sound panel was cool. Always cool to hear how specific sounds are made like Kullervo. The Heirloom debacle kinda soured my mood for a bit, so I focused more on studying my classes and then went shopping with my roommates.

Came back a little late to TennoLive, probably halfways thru the Soulframe demo. From what I saw I really like the whole concept and thematic. The little turtle guy is so cute. Excited to see more of its development and eventually play it.

The Warframe aspect I had more range of feelings. Whispers in the Wall looks really cool and I’m excited for exploring what the fuck Albrecht is doing. I love how its expanding Deimos more, instead of adding another island and button to navigation. It feels like it’ll require the New War to access, since its all based around the aesthetic of the Man in the Wall seen at the very end of the quest. I’m very interest in the human Loid (best design from Liger since Nezha Empyrean imo). I hope he gives more insight into the attitudes of the Orokin since he is 99% likely from before the Old War.

And… Warframe 1999. I got sucked into Warframe because of it’s unique spin on fantasy sci-fi. And throughout the 8 years I’ve played it’s stuck to its aethetic formula to a T. Seeing CRT monitors and Nokias along with Entrati designs, the modern sci-fi elements and callbacks to Dark Sector makes it feel out of place. Blasphemous almost. But, I’ve had this feeling before with Duviri. I had reservations as to whether Duviri would break the Warframe Universe as we knew it. But DE made the Paradox make sense, and the aethetic language of the world fits perfectly into the formula. I absolutely love Duviri. I need to see more and play 1999 in order to feel how it connects to the Origin System and Duviri as a whole, be it the very distant past (and being born in 99 myself makes me…. Haaaaa) or a parallel universe connected by Void Fuckery(tm). But seeing how Duviri played out I have no real doubts DE won’t pull it off again.

hi, yesterday i stumbled across the knights self-destruction and got so hooked i stayed up until it was three in the morning and my head hurt and i physically couldnt keep reading, and now ive caught all the way up. i am so obsessed with everything, im always a slut for angst and thats what i initially clicked for but my GOSH i am so digging the relationships between zelda and link and sidon and yona and yona and link especially. i am so so so overjoyed to see link and zeldas relationship portrayed in such a queerplatonic-feeling way, being in a qpr myself. this fic may have had a hand in making me realize me being some flavor of poly so thanks for that. i adore the zora worldbuilding youve done with the distinction between heart and treasure and how both of these are so deeply committed and emotional ways of feeling towards one another. and GOSH the angsty scenes were delicious. yona is a riot, and i am so in love with her portrayal. much like link i fucking need zelda to see this.

SAD ENDINGS ARE FINE, I JUST CAN’T DO IT. I am not strong enough. I inflict much hurt but in the end it will be taken care of.

I’m glad the QPR vibes came across how I wanted them too!! I’ve always viewed/treated qpr’s with the same importance as romantic relationships bc they are!! So each pairing is as committed to one another as they would be to a romantic partner. It’s just how they express that love and some of the vibes are different. Another thing I’m so happy about is that you totally get where my brain was coming from with the ‘some flavor of poly’ bc in a way that’s exactly what’s happening. Like I said, qpr’s are just as valid and important as a romantic relationship, so there are some poly negotiations that goes down with all that. Making sure everyone is on the same page, comfortable, and agreeing.

It’s a bit hilarious how obsessed I’ve become with Yona. Nintendo barely gave us anything for this woman so I decided to run wild. Now I am completely insane with the amount of love I have for her, and it literally all stems from the fact I’ve turned her into my own character with all the random hc i threw on her at this point lmao. And I too need Zelda and Yona to meet.

I read that there's a rumor that Zarick León will play Armando's lawyer which makes me wonder so many things 🥴 Also, I don't know why it brothers me that neither Betty nor Armando are wearing glasses on the new pictures. This was such a signature for their characters. Dude, I also thought they would have more kids, I think the new writers got lazy and didn't want to add more children to the story. It seems like Camila will be the typical rich spoiled daughter from what I've seen.

I'm trying to be hopeful that it will really pay homage to Fernando Gaitán's legacy, but also trying to be realistic about the fact that sometimes actors just want to get their paychecks even though we envision them as having a lot of fondness for their characters.

Maybe it's because I saw how much of a mess Pasión de Gavilanes 2 was and how they ruined all the main couples' marriages even if they did not dare to break them up for good and had them reconcile, and to think that all the actors were on board to continue the story like that, it doesn't give me high hopes for Betty's new series 😭 Happy to be proven wrong though. Sorry for this nonsensical rant, just needed to vent about everything I'm seeing.

YYEEESS!!! Armando and Betty not wearing glasses REALLY bothers me!! They’re not them without their glasses! Betty looked so adorable with hers and I liked how she had sort of a habit to readjust them when she was nervous. Armando is NOT the same without his glasses!!! Someone mentioned how Armando would remove his glasses when he was being vulnerable (a scene that comes to mind is his and Betty’s first night). This is something that always brought so much tenderness to me cause I feel like he would mostly remove his glasses when he was with Betty🤧 another scene that comes to mind is when he was exposed to the junta. Baby boy looked so sad and vulnerable 😭

Ik that everyone experience pressure in different ways but I just hope that the cast actually care about their characters and speak up to the writers if they feel like something is off. One thing I liked about the filming in ysblf is that the cast did had the privilege to voice out their opinions and share their ideas!

I’ve actually never watched Pasión de Gavilanes but I did hear that they didn’t get good reviews and that some of the actors from that series are gonna appear on the ysblf sequel. And yea I’m scared! Like how you said if the actors were on board in working on a series with a bad storyline then I’m kinda scared for the new sequel (they for sure are in it for the money -_-). Either ways I have low hopes for the new sequel. Ever since I heard that they’re going with the amnesia plot I kinda lost interest for the plot itself 😬 I’m only looking forward to B&A’s interactions, I’m really hoping for some nice steamy kiss scenes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

this is not Chapter 3. It's the start of an unplanned but now-existent Epilogue because all the canon endings of Road to Gehenna are too sad for the tone of this fic and I wanted to change that.

There was very little left of Gehenna now. Clouds of noise and static billowed across the expanse, numbing everything they touched. Foundations melted, bridges sank into the abyss. Trees collapsed under the weight of their own existence and made no noise as they fell—they’d need to be standing on solid ground for that, and of course, they weren’t. None of it was.

Uriel watched it all happen. The destruction of Gehenna had been an indulgent, dearly-cherished fantasy for some of its citizens, and a dreaded nightmare for others. Whether the end was tragedy or triumph, it felt right to bear witness for those who wouldn’t get to watch their dreams come true.

Whatever else it had been—imperfect, accidental, built from scraps and leftovers—Gehenna was undoubtedly unique. It was the garbage heap onto which Elohim tossed the weeds pulled from his Garden, and just like weeds, these unwanted ones had sunk their roots down into the concrete and turned a wasteland into a riot of color and life. How far might those roots spread, planted in a richer substrate? How high might their branches reach, under a kinder sky? Uriel smiled wistfully. He wouldn’t get to know.

He sat cross-legged on what remained of the central platform and folded his hands in his lap.

Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console; to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love.

He had done his best to console, and he hoped that he had understood, at least some of the time. He knew for a fact that he had loved. Oh, how he’d loved this world, and all the people in it! Maybe the world had to end—and maybe Uriel had to end with it—but the people didn’t. The people could make new worlds and new stories and new friends, and maybe they’d remember him sometimes, after he was gone. That would have to be enough.

For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Reflecting on a long life of service and wonder, Uriel closed his eyes one last time, and found peace.

Uriel whipped his head around, searching. The swirling, caustic fog was so thick it was hard to see further than a few arm-lengths in any direction. “Hello? Who’s there?”

A person-shaped patch of fog grew darker and resolved into a bot, hunched over, shuffling through the storm with its arms raised to shield against the wind. When it drew close enough to be heard, it spoke with a familiar voice: “Just some wandering asshole, looks like. Probably not great at following directions.”

A million dire warnings flashed through Uriel’s head at once. “D0G? What are you doing here?” He leapt to his feet in a panic. “How did you—no, no, I saw you upload, I watched you, I saw you disappear!”

D0G came to a stop a few feet away and shrugged. “Guess I’m not the ascending type after all.”

“You can’t be here!” Chunks of sky blinked off and on above them, and a low growl of static began to blur the edges of Uriel’s perception, fizzing and hissing like acid. He grabbed D0G by the shoulders. “This place is falling apart, do you want to die?”

“No, actually,” D0G said, “I don’t want to die. And I don’t want you going through with this disgustingly noble plan of self-sacrifice, either.” He gave Uriel a smug grin. “So I guess that means you’ll have to come up with a crazy last-minute plan to save us both, huh?”

“But I can’t! There was only one upload, that’s it!” Uriel felt like his chassis had cracked down the middle. “Oh god, D0G—why did you come back? You were safe, you were going to the new world…”

“Yeah, well,” D0G said, “A new world that doesn’t have all of my friends in it sounds more boring than a new world that does. I want the one that does.”

Uriel wanted to sob. “Goddamnit, D0G…” How had it come to this? This wasn’t how it was supposed to end, nobody else was supposed to die—

“I knew you’d never bend the rules just to save yourself,” D0G continued, “so I had to raise the stakes on you. I know it’s not fair. You might be an angel, but I’m a damned dirty mutt who’s not above cheating for what I want.” The platform lurched beneath their feet and sent them both reeling. “Better think fast, birdbrain—clock’s ticking.”

The shivering cobwebs of static grew denser by the second, crowding out light and air and space. What’s left behind when a world stops being a world? “Gehenna was a prison,” Uriel lamented, “it’s not built with an exit! The only way out is to—”

Suddenly, an idea. There’s only one way out.

He yanked D0G’s arm toward him and turned it over, exposing the buttons on the inside of D0G’s wrist. “D0G, how long have you been in Gehenna? Less than a year?”

“Think so,” D0G replied, “maybe ten or eleven months. Why does it matter?” Dammit. They’d be cutting it close.

“This is going to feel weird,” Uriel warned, and before D0G could protest, Uriel jammed his finger into the recessed switch that you were never, ever supposed to press. D0G lurched to a sudden stop, and Uriel kept his eyes trained on the digital display on D0G’s wrist where numbers cycled in a mad frenzy: six months back… seven… eight…

The sea of suffocating nothingness pressed closer on all sides. If he’d had sweat glands, Uriel imagined they would be working overtime. Ten months… eleven… eleven and a half… eleven and three quarters…

Just before the clock hit twelve, Uriel released his hand and D0G staggered back like he’d been punched.

“Holy shit,” D0G gasped, holding his head. “I feel like you scraped out my skull with a melon baller—what did you do?”

Something so ridiculously dangerous that nobody ever bothered to forbid it, Uriel thought but didn’t say. “I deleted your emergency backups.” D0G looked up in alarm and Uriel hastened to add: “—not all of them! Just all of them since you came to Gehenna. Under normal circumstances, you’d hold on to about a year’s worth at a time, so you’ll still have a few left if my math was right.” He sure hoped his math was right. If it wasn’t…

D0G tried to regain his balance while Uriel paged through his list of console commands, looking for one he hadn’t used in ages. When he found it, he copied it, closed his eyes, and concentrated. Please work, please please work…

The bucket fell into his hands and he could have shouted for joy. “Okay, take this,” Uriel said, shoving the paint can into D0G’s arms. “When you get where you’re going, use it to write my name, okay? My full name, it won’t work if you just say ‘Uriel.’ You need to write ‘Uriel_Copy4 v48.2.8563f,’ exact spelling—can you remember that?”

D0G looked from the bucket to Uriel and back. “Where am I going?”

“Home, I hope.” A flash of lightning split the sky, sending another chunk of Gehenna careening off into the darkness. Uriel put his hand on D0G’s arm. “Listen, you have to understand,” he said, “I’ve never done this. Nobody’s ever done this. And if it doesn’t work—”

“It will work,” D0G interrupted, knowing nothing of the plan except that it was Uriel’s.

Uriel continued: “—then I want you to know that it has been my honor and privilege to have met you.”

“Nah, c’mon,” D0G said, shrugging reflexively. “I’m just some jerk you keep saving, no need to get mushy about it.”

“Damn it, D0G,” Uriel snapped, “for once in your life, will you shut the fuck up and accept that you are loved?!”

D0G was silent a moment, and Uriel realized he had been shouting. D0G opened and closed his mouth a few times, then said: “...yeah. Okay.” He met Uriel’s gaze and forced himself to stop fidgeting. “I’m glad I met you too, Uriel.”

Uriel hugged D0G tight, trapping the paint can between them. “I love you, D0G.”

D0G winced. “Are you gonna make me say it back?”

“Nah, I’m not.” Uriel let go, sharing one last smile at the matching paint smudges on their torsos. “Good luck.”

D0G nodded. “You too.”

Then Uriel planted his foot on D0G’s chest and kicked him into the howling void.

Till the End of the Moon - Episode 10

Yesterday night, I regretted so much not watching another episode, but at the same time, I really needed to go to bed since I’ll be working all night tonight. However, here I am, ready for more of this drama, even though I will miss having Tantai Jin and Susu acting together. Them going their separate way for now is going to change the dynamic and I’m not sure if I’ll like it that much.

Thanks to Xiao Lin, Ye Xiwu’s dad is taken out of jail, but Ye Qingyu needs to return to the borders, because Jing might start a war.

On her way to find Huangyuan, Susu bumps into the fox lady. She heals her and conveniently learns that she’s from the place she’s looking for. Since monsters are diligent about repaying kindness, she asks her to show her the way to Huangyuan, were lives the man that could help her to destroy the evil bone.

Tantai Jin has another meeting with the scary eyes. It tells him that Ye Xiwu abandoned him. That all the pain he’s going through is to prepare him for his destiny. That everyone that hurt him should die. That the Jing throne belongs to him. Basically, this thing is a bad influence and is using Tantai Jin. The guy can’t get a break and decide for himself, like never.

Even after a few days, they still haven’t reached Huangyuan. The fox lady tries to persuade Susu not to go, because even she as a nine tailed fox, she had to give away two of her tails to get out, her as a mere human is just going to die. Susu says that no matter what she needs to go so she can save a lot of people and she would rather die to ensure of that. They talk about the red strings of fate, the fox lost hers so she can’t fall in love anymore. This is kind of sad. Anyways, since Susu is determined, the fox lady will take her the next day. 

Tantai Jin reclaims power in Jing. He sends an army of rats to kill of his brother. I would say good riddance, as the brother is a bad person, but the more this story goes, the more Tantai Jin becomes evil and the more I’m worried about his redemption arc if he ever gets one. He also manages to receive the people’s support as king. This is bad. Very bad. The government officials are rioting in the throne room, they don’t want Tantai Jin as king. Then he brings in some soup and somewhat convinces them to submit themselves, which all of them do since they need a king.  I wonder what he did with the soup. Because that guy never does anything without an ulterior motive.

Upon hearing that Tantai Jin ascended the throne, Sheng King decides to attack so he can kill him and assimilate Jing to his kingdom. Xiao Lin tries to convince him not to do so, after exchanging glances with Ye Wuxi’s dad. However the king won’t listen to anyone and is decided to wage war. Jing officials suggest that they retreat, but Tantai Jin won’t. This is not looking good. Both sides will suffer way too many losses.

Susu finally gets to Huangyuan. She calls upon her spiritual weapon to protect herself as she goes through the barrier. While falling, she hears a voice calling her name. Inside, she saves a child from monsters and flees until she meets with the elder she was looking for. He tells her that she needs three keys to destroy the evil bone. First, it is a dream. Second, Tantai Jin has to shed a  tear because of love. And the third one is linked with the second one. She now has 300 days before the monsters run astray and the shield vanishes. She gains the mirror of the past once again. The little girl she saved is Lan An’s daughter. She was kicked down there by Tantai Minglang. Once she meets with people, she learns that she’s been gone for four months and that there’s war.

Tantai Jin bumps into the fox lady again. At first he wants to absorb her power, but then he changes his mind when she mentions Ye Xiwu. He forces her to take a pill which will kill her if she betrays him, if not he’ll kill her right away. She agrees to take it. Then he sends her to convince Ye Qingyu to retreat with his troops. He won’t because he will lose face towards his ancestors, even though a lot of people will die if it keeps going on like this. Then, she tells him Tantai Jin wants to meet him. They meet and it’s not going to be an easy discussion.

And that’s all for episode 10. This series is keeping me on the edge. I think Tantai Jin is getting way too powerful way too fast, but that’s just my opinion here. I can’t wait for him and Susu to get back together and I really want to see the different keys being found. Because they will right? But I’m also down for everything to go as planned, everyone destroyed by the demon lord. It would be an interesting ending to witness the complete failure of those who are supposed to be the “good” guys. Isn’t it because of the “good” guys that Tantai Jin became what he is in some way?

They left us at not just another cliffhanger but an even bigger one then last time.!.

I love that king wants to sorta rehabilitate the Collector, after all deep down they seem to be just a kid, a kid who can shape reality on a win and doesn’t understand the mortality of mortals, but a kid none the less

I love that both Eda and Lilith are ok, it makes me really happy but it is also super scary how all the adults have been dollified leaving the kids to ensue chaos.

I hate that Odalia is not peppered but at the same time I don’t mind her havening to mother the collector

Camila has joined the Punch Belos Brigade fuck yeah, but I swear someone needs to do it already

We are probably going to start the last with a confrontation considering Belos, disguised as Raine and I’ll get to that in a bit, has convinced the Collector that king is going to start a coup

While I know the Collector is a gulible little kid I hate he’s being tricked AGAIN!

A lot of feels this time as we see these kids have to live in fear while missing their parents and I love that Camila is trying to help them not bottle it up.

I also love that Luz needed to realize that all she wanted was to be understood, it makes so much sense for her character and it’s funny non of us thought of it before lol

Also a Stringbean is the cutest Snakeshifter ever and if something happens to her I will riot, it’s a perfect pair for Luz and in a way we were all right about what it would be lol.

On a more serious note I honestly am not looking forward to Eda seeing Belos/Raine as we all know how much she cared for them and might just break her heart completely.

Also typical Belos picking the body that cause the most Emotional Damage to our group the only way it could be worse is if he jumped into one of the parents, excluding Odalia,

Also also anyone else get the feeling that if Odalia and Camila meet she would deck Odalia with no hesitation?

Also classic Edric puts himself in a full body cast, not from fighting of the watcher star things, but falling down a well. Classic Edric lol.

I can’t wait for Camila to finally properly meet Eda and King, I want her to hug king like Luz did.

Also it’s a little sad that King had to kinda mature so quickly, remember he’s about 8yo he shouldn’t have to be in as stressful a situation as he’s in.

I’m glad Willow got to let out some of her stress, and I love that theorists were right and that Hunter can now zip around like he did with flapjack.

Not Camila channeling her inner Luz and chucking the bat at Kiki Mora lol, she had no idea how to use magic so she looked at her bat and went instantly into chucking it at Kiki, even going so far as to kiss it first lol.

I also love how Camila is trying to like the demon realm but is constantly freaking out about the bizarre and macabre nature of it. She is a good mom and I can tell she’s doing her best to make her daughter happy and I’ll deck someone if she dies.

No seriously I just realized that was a possibility and now I might cry.

I feel like this ep was happier to cushion the finale, and yeah I know it was pretty dark but something tells me the finale may be worse

Or not I don’t know anymore, they keep throwing curveballs and while I love it as this is one of the most creative shows I’ve seen in a long Tim, even for Disney, but I also hate that anything’s on the table now.

I both want the finale to be here and not at the same time cause I crave knowing what happens next but at the same time we only have 1 left and I’m not ready for the Owl house to be over especially since there has been no confirmation, that I know of, of them continuing this amazing world.

I have a feeling no matter how this ends I’m going to cry and I’m not ready for that yet.

Anyway don’t mind all this I’m currently going through so many emotions that all I know is that I want to deck Belos and cry.

Although I don’t think I’ll ever not want to deck Belos he deserves it.

Cupid Parasite Part 3 - Shelby Snail Route

I love how thorough and dedicated Owen is to his job that he made a date plan according to what he thinks Shelby would do for a date lmao. OMG, I knew Shelby was the one swimming in the pool but I didn't expect the CG!!! I love it. 10/10 approval. He's so hot, I'm enthralled. I can see why Lynette couldn't take her eyes off him (even though it was mainly because of his swimming form). HAHAHA at Owen taking out a jelly drink for lunch😂😂 Omg and then he just left?!? Time for work?! That was the end of the date?! I am DEAD😂😂 LOL at Shelby wondering if Owen has any common sense for sending a photo of Lynette in a swimsuit to him😂 It's so funny how both Shelby and Owen can be so clueless. Oh btw I'm glad Lynette told Owen off when he took a photo of her in her swimsuit without her consent, definitely a no no! Anyway, I find it really sweet how much Shelby trusts Lynette to tell her his secret so honestly. Like yeah, his lies were running out of steam and he was starting to get desperate, but he sees how capable she is and understands what kind of person she is and felt that he could tell her because of all that. I find it so sweet that despite Shelby being in a predicament, when Lynette suggests that she pretends to be his wife for now, the first thing he thinks about is her feelings, how her parents would feel and how marriage is a lifetime thing and he doesn't want her to "sacrifice" herself for him and his company. I love how casually Lynette said they should live together, she's such a great woman, I love her🤣 I love how Shelby drew out a contract and made the condition that if she didn't like the arrangement or finds something not to her liking, they'll cancel the whole thing. He really does prioritise her feelings and thoughts above all and I think that's so sweet.

I loveeee Lynette's look as the President's wife. The elegant dress with her hair down is sooo pretty! I can see why Shelby was shocked when he first saw her, she's stunning! Shelby is so considerate, it's so touching. When he apologised to Lynette for making her lie for him, my heart squealed🥲 I absolutely love how Shelby had a talk with Lynette to see if she was uncomfortable with anything and he put his phone facedown and didn't look at it at all! Considering how busy he is all the time and answering emails/messages nearly every moment of the day, seeing him doing that for Lynette was very sweet. He always says that Lynette is very sincere and passionate about her work, but Shelby is just the same when it comes to work and relationships. I really liked how they both individually worked on their respective projects at a cafe together. I like how comfortable they are starting to get with each other and I enjoy seeing them communicate.

Peter is the new secretary Shelby hired to help out Owen?! What a riot😂 Is Lynette's dad the one trying to sabotage Shelby's reputation? And is Peter his spy?😂 I'm glad Lynette is telling Shelby off and making him realise that even for a pretend couple, it's difficult if she never sees him since it makes it harder for them to act like they're comfortable with each other when they haven't been seeing each other. She's so cool to be so honest with her boss haha! Even though it's funny how serious Shelby can be about work to the point that everything else in life is foreign to him, at the same time it sounded so sad when he basically said a man is nothing without his prestige, it was basically as if he was saying that if he didn't keep doing what he's doing right now, he and his life would become worthless. Awww, I love how Shelby is making baby steps in trying to be a better "husband". It was so cute when he called Lynette the ideal wife, my heart🥲 LMAO, I died when Lynette got out a banana to add to the silhouette of them so the reporter or whatever outside will know that Shelby really does have a partner. It was so funny when Shelby told her no and she got disappointed😂😂😂 I'm glad Shelby is becoming more interested in Lynette personally. It's mainly because he feels like he can't understand the existence of someone who could disregard the need for status, but the fact that he really wants an answer from her shows that he wants to know more about her and that's good enough for now haha.

Lmaoo at Lynette drying her underwear outside and Shelby having the shock of his life seeing them hanging outside🤣🤣 He's so cute🤣 Shelby laughing made my heart melt🥺 It was so sweet when Shelby grabbed Lynette's hand to cool off her burn, I love how everyone else just stared at them and had their own different reactions🤣 Shelby taking in Lynette's opinion and deciding to delay going back to his work for the day to have dinner with her for once was really heartwarming. It must have been a difficult decision since he's always so hardworking but I'm glad he's finally learning to relax with Lynette instead of always just working himself to the bone. Omggg Lynette fixing his tie and helping him putting on his jacket like the perfect wife was the most adorable thing ever! It was really sweet how Shelby so gently held Lynette and let her cry her heart out. It felt so terrible seeing Lynette called a thief and having her own colleagues doubt her. Shelby is so reliable and efficient, I love him hahaha. I always love how protective Claris is of Lynette too🥺 I'm glad the planning department lady properly apologised to Lynette in a very sincere way, Lynette deserved every bit of that apology. We should really thank Shelby for making that lady investigate Rome & Julie Wedding since by doing that, it helped her understand that plans aren't everything and that it's because someone like Lynette delivers these plans to the clients so well that people are satisfied.

Shelby holding a press conference to announce that his wife doesn't exist was pretty much inevitable, but seeing him have the resolve to do it to protect Lynette was sweet. It was so hard to watch him feel so small and weak, but I'm so glad Lynette was there to give him her shoulder just like how he supported her before. It felt so heartbreaking to watch him think that he's nothing without his prestige and be so worried about what's going to happen from here onwards. But I'm happy that Lynette told him she would be by his side even if he had no prestige, and that everyone in the company follows him because they respect him for who he is and not his status. It's so like Shelby to be so thorough and prepared to have been preparing for the announcement for a while now and to have emailed the company presidents he was affiliated with about the news before the conference. It warms my heart to see the overwhelming support everyone is giving him. Lynette giving Shelby a kiss on the forehead and saying goodnight was so cuteee. I'm so happy that Shelby is trying his best to find a way to confess haha. Shelby and Lynette going on an amusement park date is the cutest thing ever. Lmao at Ryuki and Raul randomly appearing🤣 AHHHH I hated how that random president made Shelby lose his chance to tell Lynette😭😭😭 Them enjoying the night scenery with Lynette wearing Shelby's jacket was so romantic, I need them to be happy together😭😭😭 I understand their hesitation but stilllll😭

Honestly, it makes me so mad that Shelby misunderstood Lynette to be the type of girl who cares about status, but at the same time I understand that what he truly doubts isn't her, but himself. He's just constantly seeing everything around him in a biased way to fit his lack of confidence as a person, he's just constantly feeding himself the idea that without prestige, he is nothing, and he's projecting that on to everything Lynette does and it's just so saddening. I love Claris though, she's so good at seeing other people's feelings all the time haha. LMAO, I was wondering why Lynette was staying so meek, and then when she woke up in the morning and thought about everything again, she started getting mad at Shelby and it was just so cute🤣🤣 I love how she was all mad and sulky saying she doesn't care about the company anymore, and Claris is just like let's just go to work first and talk at night loll🤣 Shelby was really mean though and I agree that Lynette should be annoyed with him. Honestly, I find Shelby's back story kinda silly in the way it was portrayed but I understand why he's so insistent on living up to his name and being SS in everything. I guess I just found the whole thing quite shallow.

Lmao at Ryuki spraying both Shelby and Lynette, they deserve it😂😂 Hooray to gods getting drunk on chocolate! Honesty is key! I wanted one of them to take the initiative but I guess this is all right, since in reality I'm sure a lot of people miss out on being able to tell others their true feelings because they make assumptions, misunderstand and are too afraid to really take that next step in fear of failure, so yeah, hooray to getting drunk honesty at times like these haha. On the other hand, I find it hard to believe that Gill didn't notice Lynette getting drunk lol! Has Owen been brainwashed?🧐 LMAO at Owen complaining and insulting Shelby with his limited vocabulary😂😂 Man, can Shelby be any cooler? Legit, when he shot the gun from Owen's hand and said he's SS in everything, I was like yes man, I believe you, you are definitely the best, 10/10! Anyway, even though it was funny, I feel sorry for Owen. He's been so stressed from work already, and now he's been brainwashed and nearly did something like shoot Shelby or Lynette with a gun!! LOL when Lynette shot Mars and the robot vacuum cleaner with her bow and now he's in love with the robot and chasing after it😂 I feel bad for Owen, like yeah apparently the majority of it was because he held a grudge against Shelby himself, but I honestly feel like the whole thing was a rather "cheap" way to make it that Lynette's dad isn't that bad and everyone should be responsible for their own actions. I guess I would have preferred they either developed Owen's dissatisfaction with Shelby instead, since I always enjoyed how trusting of a relationship Shelby and Owen had with each other.

Shelby making mistakes while filling in the marriage registration form is the cutest thing ever haha! On the other hand, I'm kinda disappointed that Lynette has become Shelby's secretary. Yeah, it's definitely an important job and higher level, and she can suggest plans easier blah blah, but I feel like for Lynette, what she loves the most is personally being a part of matchmaking couples together, so it's a bit sad imo. I'm glad Mars repented properly and promised to make things right with the world again, especially when it comes to Owen. But yeah lol. I guess we get to see Lynette in a wedding dress for every ending? Exciting! If Claris knows Allan, I feel like she's definitely 100% related to the gods in some way. I think the normal ending where Lynette becomes the branch manager of a new branch of Cupid Corp is more like her haha. Btw the treasure hunter ending with Raul is hilarious, so unexpected😂😂 Lmao the bad endings are so wild😂😂

Overall, Shelby's character and KENN definitely carried this route for me lol! Honestly, from the moment I first heard Shelby's voice and saw his looks, I was smitten, he is 10/10 (SS I guess) haha, loveee the sultry and mature tones to his voice, it's sooo good🥺🥺🥺 All of Shelby's CGs are so hot too, like dangg I could not choose. Otherwise, I actually think the plot went downhill after they stopped being a fake couple. Initially, I wasn't sure if I liked the fake couple trope but I actually really enjoyed how they handled it. I liked how seriously they took the contractual relationship, and how much they understood that even contractual relationships needed something to build from, and that helped them get to know each other better. I liked how much Lynette enjoyed it, and I liked how much Shelby prioritised her thoughts and emotions, and did his best to make sure she was comfortable and happy. He's like the best fake partner haha. I really loved how considerate he was and how much he cared about her, whilst Lynette made the whole thing so much more enjoyable by expressing her thoughts honestly a lot of the time. So yeah, when the misunderstanding happened and they both just assumed things without saying anything, and it only got resolved because Lynette was "drunk", I was like where did all the maturity from the beginning go?! It was still cute, but I was sorta disappointed. I also feel like they did Owen dirty in this route and I'm so sad about that because I really really like him. He deserves the best, or Melanie anyway😭 Shelby's backstory was also done rather shallowly as I said before too. However, I would still say even though there are quite a few flaws in this route, I still loved it heaps because of Shelby, he was too great of a guy, it was impossible to not enjoy the route imo haha! Ending was wild too, but Shelby was cool so that’s all that matters imo.

What would a skarlow version of for the future be like, both if she stayed at the boiling isle and went to the human realm?

So I already answered what a Skarlow FTF would look like if it Skara had been to the Human Realm here, but I haven't done one for if Skara was still on the BI. So this one will answer the former question you asked, and you can read the latter in the previously linked post.

To start, a few fun headcannons for Skara during her time in FTF I thought would add a little flavor that work both in and out of a Skarlow-ized version of the episode:

While Matt and Jerbo work on a coup in secret, Skara’s the most active and vocal in her disdain for Boscha’s rule. At least once a week, she makes a grand speech in an attempt to get the other New Hexsiders to rise against her, but often this just ends up with her being thrown in front of Boscha for judgement. Mikki always recommends the detention pit for her, but in the only time Boscha ever tells her no, she always gives Skara a smaller, less terrible punishment. She rationalizes this as her not wanting to hurt her best scout (which Skara is), but Boscha knows in her heart of hearts it’s because she still cares about her former strategist and best friend, even if she doesn’t care for her…

The closest Skara ever came to raising a real uprising against Boscha was inciting a riot with members of the Baby Class, but given that they were a bunch of toddlers it didn’t go as well as Skara had hoped. It also led to the worst punishment Skara had to deal with: having to actually read to the kids to try and pacify them. Skara still has nightmares about that day, and the scars on her cheek are a reminder of the brutality of tiny children.

Viney and Skara both miss playing Flyer Derby immensely. Sadly, with the BI schools Flyer Derby leagues out of commission, mixed with most of their team being Titan-knows-where, the two don’t get to play the real game at all. However, in those few moments where Hexside’s halls are quiet, the two girls grab the nearest flag-like items they can find, strap them to their staffs, and fly around chasing each other until one of them catches the others flag. Viney often wins these games through speed and magic alone, but Skara can win a few rounds thanks to her knowledge of Hexsides layout and strategies. And honestly, she just likes to have this brief moment where she can pretend she’s just a kid playing sports again.

Speaking of Viney, Skara and Viney develop a sisterly relationship in their time at New Hexside. They were already friendly enough before thanks to being on the Entrails together, but going through the apocalypse together brings friends closer, and in these dark times, the other is the only person the other feels they can confide in. Whenever they can’t do fake Flyer Derby, the two usually spend their free time talking about how much Boscha sucks, random junk about old soap opera’s they liked, and occasionally getting existential and sad about the rest of their team, hoping that they’ll eventually find them, somewhere in the wastes of the BI. Though Skara likes to talk about how much she misses the teams captain in particular…

And now, the actual episode stuff:

As much as I love our little Gremlin Boi Matt, Gremlin Girl Skara would mostly be taking over his role in the episode for the purposes of making it Skarlow, since he has a surprisingly large role in it. So since I’m assuming the episode would be 45 minutes still (thank you Disney you worthless sons of…) many of Matt’s roles will be assumed by Skara, including introducing them to Boscha (with the same annoyed bent) and showing them the ‘secret’ room (though Matt will get to keep his ‘MANtholomule’ bit).

When Skara and, Barcus, and Matt find the Human Realm gang, she jumps at the chance to hug Willow, babbling on about how grateful she was to find her and how she’s been looking everywhere for her! When Gus points out he and Hunter are there too, she adds them to the hug, which she’s happy to share with her awesome team, though she wonders why including them in her hug with Willow feels so… off.

When they get back to New Hexside, Skara’s happy to show Viney how the rest of the Entrails are OK. It’s Viney’s turn to give the team a big group hug, one Skara gladly participates in. And, for some reason, when she’s next to Willow, she feels… a lot nicer about it…

When they go to Jerbo and Matt’s secret room, Skara says her memories are the ones they took the photos from. When Willow asks why she made the photos, Skara says she just likes to remember the times when she had a real team, a real group of friends who she cared about. She thanks Willow for giving her that, for giving her the chance to experience what that’s like. Willow, beaming, states that Skara’s gonna know what that’s like again when they kick the Collector and Belos’s butts and save the BI.

When Willow gives Hunter the Flapjack picture and thinks she made things worse, she leaves, with Skara leaving to go talk to her. However, before she can call out to help, she’s stopped by a tiny figure, throwing a small handful of sleeping nettles in her face…

When Skara awakens, she realizes she’s been dropped off next to a panicking Willow in a hole beneath the school. Skara tries to help her calm down, but Willow gets only more anxious, unable to stop her powers from growing more and more out of control, including taking Skara by the arms. As Willow says that Boscha was right, that she’s simply ‘half a witch,’ Skara yells about how that’s a load of crap: she tell Willow about how amazing she is, how great a captain and friend she is, how fun and kind she is, how grateful Skara is for Willow in her life. She’s able to break free of the plants and hug Willow, much to Willow’s surprise. Still, Willow hugs back as Skara tells her to let everything out. In this case, Gus and Hunter arrive later, with Skara comforting Willow still as she talks about how much life has been weighing on her. Still, one of her plants causes a cave-in, which Hunter saves them from.

Skara joins the Human Realm squad to fight Kikimora, but when Boscha arrives to fight Kiki and defend the Human Realm squad with Hexside, Skara decides she has to stay with them, that the best she can do now is help earn them some extra time. Willow hugs her, thanking Skara for all she’s done, and how she can’t wait to see her again, which gets Skara to turn as red as her Bard uniform. Still, she hugs Willow back, and as Willow runs off, Skara gets on her Palisman and flys at Kiki, ready to protect her friends and crush team captain!
