I'm writing this as a big Katara stan. I just found out that a new film about an adult Gaang is planned to be released, and Katara, like Aang, will be given a leading role there. I am so excited and glad that finally Katara will be given due respect as a character!

But for some reason, after searching on Tumblr, I saw joy about a new film in the entire Atla fandom except for our zutara community. on the contrary, there is a lot of discontent and bitterness. But why is that? Is it because zutara won't be in the movie? Well, yes, zutara is a fanon ship, it will never be anywhere but our fanfics and fanart. But after all, Zutara is not in the original ATLA show, and we still love it! This is no reason not to rejoice at the opportunity to see our favorite characters on the screen again, to see Katara again (God, I'm screaming with delight😍😍😍😍). Yes, there is a chance that the writing will be bad, but there is always such a chance before the release of any film. I'm just so happy to see Katara again, and the whole gaang too, and her new design for this movie seems so great to mе!

i mean this genuinely, anon: i love that you love katara so much, and i am really happy for you that you're looking forward to the new movie. i truly hope you enjoy it.

i don't want to speak for the rest of zutara fandom, but i can't share your feelings because - to put it point-blank - i don't trust the creators with katara's character. ever since they lost their writing team, nothing they've created post-atla has proven to me that they understand katara's character, or how to create a good arc for her. it's telling that the only post-canon comic featuring a decent story for katara (katara and the pirate's silver) came out in 2020, twelve years after the original show ended (and which was also, notably, the first comic that bryan and mike were not involved with).

i'm sure some people are salty that they won't see canon zutara, but personally i'm relieved that i won't have to see bry.ke ruin romantic zutara like they did with their friendship post-atla. i'm sure they'll do their damnedest to fuck up what remains of zuko and katara's platonic relationship in the new movie, which is why canon ended for me with the final agni kai. no magic pointy rock or canon ships in this household, thank you.

i wish i could share your excitement for the movie anon, but i just don't have faith in bryan and mike to do justice to the characters (especially zuko and katara) after everything they've said and created over the last decade. like really, calling zuko a bad boy in the year of our lord 2023? please watch your own show.

besides, nothing they can do for katara in this movie will retcon what they did to her in LOK. i already know she ends up as a sad, lonely housewife without any real power, impact or legacy; that can't be changed, no matter how they try to "fix" it. it looks like the movie has been delayed so my hope is that it just gets cancelled in production. atla has been milked to filth anyway; leave the og characters alone and do something new with the universe, or just let it rest in peace and find another story to tell.

It kinda feels sacrilegious to have Naoto call Chie his partner- cause that's like... the Souyo petname. But, I think he uses it in a more formal sense. I think... He also uses "my dear" (in the sense of "my dear Watson" since this Naoto is more performative about it than canon).

There's been debate about the differences between aibou and partner and how there isn't much of a direct translation, but I think it would fall back into that for the Yoosk and Nyarukami. I think it starts with "buddy" before falling back into something like that... as Nyarukami does weird out Yosuke at first before they actually spend time together!

Seeing as Nyarukami isn't a 1-1 Teddie, and does have his calm demeanor and same interests- just lacking leadership qualities. I think they get into some mischief (something this Yosuke sorely needs) and start to click afterwards... then Yosuke not only goes through his gay crisis, but his furry crisis as well. it's great.

Does anyone pun back at Nyarukami? Does Teddie still make bear puns?

For Teddie, I think the puns were sort of a substitute for his verbal tic in the og, but the sentiment of "being annoying to stay remembered" remains. Nyarukami's puns are less jokes, and more in line with verbal tics. He doesn't even know he's making them most the time and is audibly confused when someone tries to pun back at him.. before going, "oh! It's because I am a cat!" and then trying and failing to make a cat pun in return- because when he tries, they are terrible. "That's cat-tastic"

Teddie, while annoying as ever- does not bear pun. It's sad, true, but Nyarukami's got it covered.

Do you have any like, fav dynamics between characters in particular?

Uh, suprisingly- Yukiko and Yosuke? I'm trying not to let favoritism happen toooo much, but Yosuke being the only one to be on Yukiko's side at first is frighteningly charming.

He calls out the IT initially for assuming Yukiko is the killer. And since he's the first victim after the second murder, it's Yukiko who- having been suspicious of the IT- forces them to help her find him.

Naoto yipped as he was suddenly grabbed and slammed against the wall, the impact eliciting a sharp wheeze as the balled fists of his assailant crushed him where they held him.

Chie reacted almost immediately, an arm shooting out defensively between Naoto and the assailant- though it did little in holding the assailant from crushing him entirely.

"Start talking, Shirogane." The assailant- whom Chie remembered as Yukiko Amagi -growled, "I don't know.. I don't even care, how you somehow duped the new kid into your stupid little buddy cop roleplay, but you've been snooping around my place."

"I don't.. I don't know what you're talking about-" Naoto squeaked out, hands raised defensively. The reply resulted in slightly more crushing and the sneer on Amagi's face growing larger.

"Amagi-" Chie tried, recoiling as Amagi snapped a firey glare at her.

"Shut up." Amagi snapped, before turning back to Naoto, "I'm not stupid, and you of all people are less than subtle- You know something about him, you're doing something. .. and I for sure know that junk closet you hid in didn't have exits!"

"H..him..?" Naoto managed out, prompting Amagi to pull back and slam Naoto back into the wall- eliciting another harsh wheeze

"Don't suddenly play stupid, shortstack. I know it was you who broke in last night, looking for 'clues' about those murders on the news. T-the people that went missing-"

Amagi took a breath.

"He never misses more than two days. His parents won't let him, even when he's sick." Her voice got quieter, though it still held a quiet crackle as she continued. "Yosuke's been missing for four days- and-"

"Okay." Chie cut in, causing Amagi to ease up her grip, "Okay. Let him go, and we'll tell you, alright?"

A moment passed, maybe two- then, Amagi sighed, and let Naoto drop to the floor with a thud. The little detective scampering up from where he fell- falling in place, safely, behind Chie.

"That's a funny way of asking for help." Naoto grouched, smoothing out his shirt and adjusting his tie.

The day after Joe left the house for the very first time, Kendall felt a wave of sadness take over her body. She was devasted, and tired, she constantly woke in the middle of the night as if the house she was sleeping in was haunted.

Every single part of that bed smelt like him, every part of her body was once kissed by the lips of a man who had kissed someone else and she despised that. She felt like her world stopped, when they met, falling in love was not on her plans, and falling in love with a man like Joe wasn´t what she wanted.

"I think we should go with the big backyard one," Joe said hugging her from the back, "This way our babies would have the space to run, and then the babies of our babies" he chuckled putting his lips against the back of her head, Kendall smiled and closed her eyes; it was one of the moments she felt like her life made sense in only a way love makes you feel.

Now, that memory pained her, she was tied to him for life, for two entries now, she didn´t know what to do. The night Kendall found out she was pregnant -again-, happiness took over her body, brainstormed ideas of how she would tell her big baby and the love of her life the good news. The night she confronted Joe became savory, the memory of her telling the news to the father of her son was stained by betrayal and insincerity.

"I made waffles and fresh orange juice" Joe smiled at her showing the plates in the breakfast bar, which was once planned down to the smallest detail. "I think you should go" Kendall sighed "Natalie has a friend coming over today for a playdate and I don´t want her to create a false story on her head in which you come back here and we live happily ever after".

"Who is Mat?" Joe asked her and Kendall looked at him with surprise, "You do know I'm the father of Natalie and that baby you´re carrying right? You are not messing up the mind of my children with that man coming and hanging with them..." Kendall stopped him "You have a lot of nerve telling me I´m the one "messing" with her mind when you were fucking someone else" Joe looked down.

"While Natalie was sleeping here, happy that her daddy won a game so she could tell her friends in school he was the best, you were putting your dick inside another woman, so no, I'm not messing anything up, you did" water filled her eyes and her voice trembled when she stopped "You took away the happiness of being pregnant with MY baby and turned into a grey cloud above me every single day" she felt her knees weak.

"I hate you so much Joe, I hate you because a part of me needs you like a drug I'm addicted to, and I hate you because you destroyed the life WE built together, my kids will grow up in a broken home and the worst part of all is that I will never tell them what you did, that´s the difference between me and you. I´m putting them on top of everything and you didn´t even think twice about the damage you would cause" She said sobbing, and Joe felt his blood drop to his feet.

He left Kendall´s place and drove to the condo he was living in at the moment, he found no motivation in anything, he missed the chaos of his past life. He remembered clearly when he and Kendall got married.

"... You have filled my life with colors and turned it into a musical every time you´re near me. I promise to love you and take care of you and the family we will hopefully soon start. There is not a day where I take you for granted, waking up beside you it´s a pleasure and something I will love to grow old with.

You are the woman of my dreams, the best road trip partner, and the comedic duo made for me, I will make sure to remind you that I´m the man that I am because of you. That every mole on your body holds a million I Love You´s you will hear forever. I´m so happy that I´m becoming Mr. Carter" Kendall chuckled "I know you´re the designer but you´re the muse of my life, of every romantic, naughty, or funny thought that comes to my mind you´re the one I see. I love your laugh and I will try my best to come up with the biggest dad jokes so I can crack a small out of you. Here´s to a lifetime of love, I love you, Kenny."

He didn’t have the guts to admit when he stopped loving her because he wasn't sure if he ever stopped.

People always say you don´t know what you have until it´s gone and he realized that too late, when he met Jackie, he loved the adrenaline of starting a romance again. But now it was painful, he missed everything about Kendall. The way she always made him choose the color of her nail polish or how the pantry was always stocked with Joe´s favorite candy.

How was he so naive to lose his soulmate, the mother of his kids, the love of his life but also his best friend. He hated his life now, a life without her or his kids was a living nightmare, his baby was about to be born, and he hadn´t seen a single eco photo of him. Kendall was sad and blue all the time, the only thing keeping her going was her babies and the company she worked so hard for.

She missed Joe, she couldn´t forget him, and she was tired, she was about to give birth and her life would be upside down once again.

"God I miss you so much" was the first sentence that came out of her mouth when she boldly called Joe at 1 am, she had been crying nonstop, and as much as she hated to admit it, he was the love of her life.

He showed up that night, and he stayed there. It was pointless for him to go home when his pregnant ex-wife was almost about to give birth.

The next few months were a roller coaster of emotions, their baby was born, Joe wasn’t there when he arrived to this world. He was on a work trip when baby burrow arrived and everything happened too quick. Kendall went into labor at 7 am and her baby came out of the womb right away. He looked so much like Joe, it was a very strange feeling, when Natalie was born. He was there, he held her hand as she was pushing their baby girl into a world in which they would do anything to make her happy. That was the only promise Joe made to Kendall that she was sure he would keep.

The new baby mama had been crying nonstop, she wasn’t sure of how she would manage her life now as a single mom with a soon to be a 6 year old.

“How are you doing?” Joe said entering the room with ballons and flowers, Kendall started to cry again. They weren’t in bad terms now, they will share the most important thing on their lives forever. There are science fairs, dance recitals, birthdays, christmas and thanksgiving they will have to share.

“I’m not gonna lie, i’m very scared” Kendall said holding her tears. “Kenny you’ve done this before, you are the best mom ever, Natalie and baby are so lucky that you’re their mother” Joe said smiling with teary eyes. “I know i’ve done this before but i wasn’t doing it alone you know?” The guilt eat Joe alive every second of the day. “Hey, i’m not going anywhere, i can stay home until baby is a bit older” Kendall chuckled, and then start to cry again “What’s wrong?” Joe looked at her concerned “Everything Joe, our baby is here and we don’t even have a name for him, and Natalie keeps asking when is her daddy coming home and i’ve run of ways of explaining her why he’s not” She cried “I hate my new life, I hate going grocery shopping alone and carrying everything by myself, i hate driving everywhere and i really really miss you Joe” he was crying when she said that.

“I know I fucked up, and no amount of sorry’s will mend what I did, we can work this out, for the fourth of us - “ He was interrupted by the nurse entering with baby burrow after checking that everything was okay with him, Joe saw him for the first time and started crying, he held him in his arms and the nurse walked out of the room. “He looks so much like Natie” he whispered and Kendall giggled as she wiped her tears away. “Both of them look like you it’s not fair” she said crossing her arms “We can always try and make one that looks like you” Joe smirked and Kendall’s mind went numb, she didn’t had and expression on her face “Sorry maybe that was too much” he cleared his troat.

“I will make you fall in love with me again, I promise my love” he kissed her forehed and that was the last thing Kendall heard before she fell asleep. And she was so happy to hear that.

So 👏—

I am excited to report that two of my orders just came in! (I’ll reveal my other order soon!)

First: I ordered a Gen One Catty Noir, her box was damaged (even in the listing) before I got her, but I’m not upset at that. The doll is all that matters to me. But her box design is something to be in awe of. It was a blast from the past. I had her when she was like…. Not over $100. She was like $20 to $40 when I (or my parents) bought her in the early 2010s.

My childhood is being reclaimed just buy looking at that box. I almost don’t want to open it. She is just incredible.

I immediately got the Gen Three version of her, aaaand Mortals, Creatures… I love her.

I. Am. Deeply. In awe of her to.

Her hair, her hair has tiny braids mixed in and it’s so pretty. I can’t stop touching it. Her sculpt is so detailed and her body just feels so well weighted. She’s a hefty doll!

She gives Lizzo vibes to me. She’s just amazing, Catty is my girl in both gens next to Draculara.

My complaints about the dolls themselves are this: Gen Three doesn’t come with a stand or a hair brush, this haunts me. I know why, most don’t think about letting the doll pose, but I loved doing that as a kid.

Most aren’t like me, so I can understand why they don’t have ‘em. But I still feel lost without those two things.

The brushes weren’t good or useful, but it was the thought that counted.

The next thing is the box. It’s not as cool, besides the back, as the OG. It’s personalized, but it doesn’t scream rock star as much.

But that’s besides the point, this new box is more fortified. It will not break on transit, which is good.

And my sister doesn’t like her pet, Amulette. Its like Pluto and Goofy all over again. I don’t mind, but I do agree, it’s weird. She also doesn’t like the new Count Fabulous either.

The little accessories she comes with are cute. But the little Thirteen Diary is literally paper. I don’t understand why, and I don’t see how they can’t do what they did with Draculara’s grimoire and make it plastic.

The old diaries were paper, but they were big and had more then one page just folded to look like a book that was bent and messy on purpose.

I do have stands, citrusy of my Mimi, and they fit well for these dolls. I can pose them how I wish.

But yeah, I love my collection so far. I now have four Monster High Dolls, and I’m excited to get Spectra when she comes out.

And no, Catty Gen One’s box doesn’t fit in my case up right, so she’s sideways. I mean no disrespect, but it’s what I’ve gotta do. Trust me, I’m sad about this to.

X-Men 97 Thoughts

My personal opinions

Okay. So I grew up with X-men The Animated Series. It was one of my fave shows. It always came on late at night on Toon Disney (at times i shouldnt have been awake LMAO) so it has a special place in my heart. I was very surprised that of all things they decided to "continue" it. So, when I heard about it, I did a full rewatch (even that ungodly last season where quality took a nosedive OOF) Anywhoo! Started and finished 97. Those who know me best know at heart I am a big OG fan of my fandoms and am trepidacious of reboots/even continuation reboots, bc lets be honest most of them are all about stomping on the source material, SO I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Xmen 97.

You could really see how much they tried to capture the feel of the old show and the characters. The voice replacements were surprisingly well done. (i mean, Wolverine is a little off, but i'll give the guy a break its been like...28 yrs XD ) The animation looks amazing. Even if i'm taking some points off for the hair hfgjhdf haha

Now the storyline.... The elephant in the room. We all know the one. I have been a Romy fan since I was a kid and yes, when I was a young girl in Borders, I did come across the comic that showed the RoguexMagneto storyline. I hated it then and I hate it now. Its just...weird. (Again, my opinions. If you like it, power to you. Enjoy, but its not for me and this post isn't for you) but its even weirder in the show, and ill tell you why. As a Marvel comic reader, I'm well acquainted with the fact that everyone gets with everyone. That is just a trope of Marvel comics. All ships of imaginable and unimaginable proportions happen. BUT I think when doing this, they really should have thought it through a bit more in context of the show's universe alone . Bc I'll be real, if you're coming in from TAS, this kinda hits you out of nowhere. She had no form of connection with Magneto in the past show. Like....they had a makeshift funeral for him and she didn't even care. She was just worried about Gambit being stuck in space. So, their "secret" just seems so random and out of place. I do like that it was used for her to understand fully her feelings for Gambit, but man was it frustrating to see him just killed off when he was one of the best characters.(even if it was really well done and the animation, again, was amazing)

There's talk of him coming back as "Death" which is a storyline I'm not familiar with but I also heard talk of the original showrunner idealizing a timeline where Rogue and Magneto have kids....so... IDK It all just left me a bit frustrated and disheartened bc Romy was like one of my earliest ships before i knew ships were a thing. To see what happened to it made me sad, even if it could be part of a long game to get them to their HEA. (and thats always an if bc we don't know, even if the original guy isn't in charge anymore)

Other things that bugged me a little but not too much. Gonna bring up Morph. I love Morph. They were always a fave and they went through so much to finally be back on the team again. I really don't understand why they changed their character design tho? I read it was to make Morph look more like the character changeling from the comics but this is again something that doesnt make sense coming out of TAS bc Morph always had that other appearance throughout the entire show. I mean...it could have at least been explained... Also, as far as the feelings for Wolverine, i kinda found it funny XD bc in TAS, it always seemed like it was the other way around jkhfgjkdfh Wolverine was so attached to Morph and wouldn't let 'em go. That being said, I kinda wish they didn't go this route if its only meant to be unrequited and sad. AGAIN. I know. Marvel is all about unrequited drama jfhdkjfdh but hasn't Morph been through enough??? That being said, I love the ship even though I know its doomed. Wolverine is the worst person to be down bad for tho. Mans falls in love at the drop of a hat fhghdfjhsd

Other than these couple things, I really loved the show. Some people said "why are they shoving so much story into such a short amount of time" XD The storyteller in me would like to agree but i will be honest, there is nothing more like Xmen TAS than smooshed storylines jkdfhfkjds with random one-off eps in between. XD So, I was fine with it.

I liked the conclusion with Scott and Jean, as messy as it was. The family fun time was a pleasure to watch.

Xavier and Magneto. They really highlighted their messy, but still devoted relationship from the original series, so that was nice to see. I was glad to see him back in the red suit LMAO bc the one he was wearing all season was weird for me.

I loved Jubilee's journey, and it was cool that they brought Alyson Court back for that one episode.

I was very pleased overall that they didn't tone things down and since censors are different these days, they could show more stuff they couldn't in the 90s. So, I am looking forward to more seasons (and pleeeeease for the love of god give Romy back to me i am begging)

OMG YES! Though I am so sad there are only 3 official versions I can rank. I wish there were so many more. (I have done my best to add more to the pantheon, but we're only doing official today. lol) 1. OG Cartoon/Saturday Morning Adventures: She's still the best Mona. Great origin story. Scrappy to the end. Cute voice. Don't need no turtles to take care of her business for her, but they are welcome to come along for the adventure. I ride or die for her.

2. 2012 Mona Lisa. Great, solid character. LOVE the voice work. I wish she would have had any meaningful interaction with ANY other brother instead of just only interacting with Raphael, but pretty good overall.

3. IDW run Mona Lisa: Love her character design. We are back to staying true to the character's origin. If it were me, I would have written her differently. She's a little annoying and useless. If you took her out of the story, it wouldn't have changed anything. But I was still happy to see her.

I wasn't huge on Prismo as a character in AT but in F&C I can totally understand the need to create something original and for yourself rather than creating for the sake of others. I'd love to move in as a roomie and help him clean up a bit, I can't take him to AA meetings but I can bring them to him lol. Maybe creating sentient universes isn't a good idea but the Sims 4 is close enough.

I can relate so much to Fi's daily life omg, I started watching Adventure Time when I was in middle school so seeing her now in a similar setting as my early adult life is so wild and comforting to me. She has a special place in my heart, oh and she caked up like damn, in the og series she didn't strike me as a teen but I can definitely see her now as a grown ass woman. And in shorts! I really enjoyed episode 5 even tho I'm not as insane about it as I am for episode 6 but that's really just because of the winter king and that world's lore (not saying the apocalyptic world is boring like be fr???)

it's generally an enjoyable episode like I didn't get what was going on mostly but I rolled with it and had a good time

I suspect this will be unpopular but idk for sure. I think it made sense to introduce Sydney as a love interest for Mia. Katherine and Mia become a couple so late in prime that most players never got that far. Like if they ever even met Katherine they probably just remember suspecting she was pandora. Pixelberry was in kind of an impossible situation with most players either not being familiar with HSSP or only knowing the beginning.

It’s the same reason the Autumn/Wes/Julian love triangle is awkward and dramatic again even though they had all settled down and became real friends no matter how or even if you chose to resolve it. I’m more annoyed with this decision because it’s a bigger deal in the choices plot, and it’s sad to see these character arcs move backwards, but I really respect how tricky it was to balance between different audiences

Send me unpopular or popular opinions about anything Choices and/or HSS related, and I will rate them on the aforementioned scale and elaborate if possible

I've rated the opinion this way because I have a lot of mixed feelings.

I personally never minded Sydney as Mia's love interest in Choices HSS, mainly because I did like the arc Mia has in that subplot, and because I haven't really gotten the chance to meet let alone grow attatched to Katherine. But this is also a good point that you bring up.

At the point I'm at in the game (Level 20 or something), Katherine is the only character of the gang that I don't have enrolled yet. I remember playing the Pandora plotline and getting somewhat frustrated wondering when they were gonna let me enroll her. Considering she's apparently a much later character in the game, I can understand why PB wouldn't find it too big a deal to break her and Mia up.

This could also be the reason why she wasn't in the Choices version at all, PB might have had some trouble fitting her into the story, and so they figured that because she was introduced so late to the friend group, it wouldn't be too big a deal to cut her out.

That being said, while I am mostly positive/sympathetic about PB's overall integration of Prime characters into Choices HSS, I do feel that how they removed Katherine was one of the bigger shortcomings. I do think they could have still found a way to put her in Choices HSS while not requiring players to have played Prime first. At least mention offhand why she isn't there, like did Katherine (and Kallie) graduate along with the HSS Prime MC? And/or why did she and Mia break up (one of my friends theorizes it was because she was tired of Mia falling back into snobbish behaviors all the time)?

Or if not that, then Katherine should have been in HSS:CA. I will die on this hill lol. I remember reading on the wiki that she was a playwright, they could have worked that into the HSS:CA plot (and oh imagine the possible tension with Sydney who was also in the theatre crew as a costume designer in HSS:CA). And she's an emo type, so I imagine she and Skye would get along really well.

I never minded the Wes/Autumn/Julian love triangle too much, but looking back on it I would say it is one of the weaker aspects of PB's integration of Prime into Choices HSS as she doesn't have a lot of presence outside of that. I tend to be more forgiving of it because it does feel coherent with the main story's events and you can have her not get with either of them

100%. That's kind of a big reason why I give Choices OG HSS a lot more credit for how it integrated past characters, particularly in comparison to how HSS:CA integrated past characters.

With bringing HSS to Choices, it was critical to appeal to both the old and the new fans. Focus too much on catering to older fans from Prime, and it's gonna confuse the players who haven't played Prime first (or the ones that have played Prime first, but don't remember much because Prime has zero in-game replay features). Focus too much on catering to newer fans from Choices, and it's just gonna be like "why even bother making it HSS and not its own new thing". Or worse yet, you end up taking the HSS:CA approach, where the whole thing does not feel written as "HSS" and the only aspects of HSS that are present feel more like decoration to pander to the returning older fans.

And with the Prime-Choices switchover, it was extra critical because Prime exists on an entirely different app from Choices HSS, has zero in-game replay features, and probably takes an incredibly long time to keep up with unless you blow out on rings. I imagine there are some players out there who have played Prime first, but don't remember all of it. And I seriously doubt transferring any data from Prime to Choices was a viable possibility.

Was Choices HSS perfect at integrating Prime characters? No, of course not. There are plenty of shortcomings, or at the very least odd decisions. But when you get down to it, they're more forgiveable. There were quite a few more limitations. Yet in the grand scheme of things, it managed to be able to give a shit about the original, while also being able to stand on its own two feet.

Apparently It was Rulie's birthday a bit ago and I am currently sobbing at his feet, apologizing for not doing anything.

I feel like Player would be the type of person to memorize literally everyone's birthday and plan accordingly so that no one gets left out, even if someone like Hyrule mentions it offhandedly. Even better if that's legitimately the only thing they are able to keep track of. If not, Player still has their phone and a fully functioning calendar.

Hyrule, being the humble person that he is, wouldn't really do much for his birthday. It's kinda hard to have a party or any celebration when you're fighting for your life everyday, even after defeating Ganon. I feel like Player would just enlist Wild to bake a cake (if not try to bake it themselves) while they go off to find Rulie a present (once again, that's if they haven't already have been looking for it in any towns they've been visiting)

Wind and Legend (not willingly, he just wanted to spend time with Hyrule on his birthday) are the designated 'distract Hyrule until everything is done' (good luck, that mf can smell that cake a mile away). Hyrule goes along with it, trying to remain positive and happy, but he gets kinda bummed because he hasn't really seen Player or Wild all morning, and all he really wanted to do was hang out with both of them (he thinks Player forgot about him). Gilda can read her brother like an open book and tries to cheer him up, but there's nothing much she can do without ruining the entire thing, so she flies over to player like 'hurry up he's getting sad', to which player essentially goes 'oh no I've abandoned my boy!'.

It isn't until the end of dinner (Hyrule's favorite, courtesy of le link) when the cake gets brought out where he essentially has the realization of 'oh, this was all for me'. Gilda pokes fun of his blushing face as player sits beside him and hands him their present, the others soon following after with gifts of their own. That night Hyrule goes to sleep next to Player and later in their arms (bc I fucking LOVE the sleephugger! Player hc) with a smile on his face and tender fondness/love in his heart.

Maybe Hryule's present was just quality time with the two. Maybe The morning is spent hanging out with Legend, not really doing much of anything because it's too early, maybe spending some time in the market, maybe sewing up clothes together, just mindless tasks while conversation flows. Maybe Legend even gives up or forges a ring specifically for Hyrule, you can never be too safe after all, especially in Hyrule's, well, Hyrule.

Next, he's whisked away by Gilda over to Player (because I don't think Legend would take too kindly to player stealing Rules away, though I doubt anything would come of it because no one wants to ruin Hyrule's birthday) who's teamed up with Gilda to find a perfect grove full of flowers and moss and life for the two (I think Gilda would hang out with Wild so Hyrule wouldn't be too embarrassed to open up and enjoy himself around player, it's a crush but Hyrule would take that to his grave, denying the whole way down.) to traverse through. They laugh and tell stories and weave flowers for eachother and their friends, they might even be🥺🥺 casually affectionate🥺🥺🥺.

Then, when they are too tired to continue, and their stomachs are empty, they return in time for Lunch where Hyrule is then dragged away by Wild to go on 'a binding adventure where we leave closer as brothers and friends'....they absolutely get lost and have to get brought back by Wolfie, but they absolutely enjoyed themselves! Wild even let Hyrule keep whatever they found.

The only thing in my head is this video and that's so player it's hurts.

I think Player would give Hyrule a friendship bracelet/necklace, even better if Player has a matching one. I would even take it a step further and include Wild and Gilda in it as sorta the 'OG Player protection squad'. Yeah, the others might remember Player in time, but those 3 were the originals and arguably spent the most time bonding with Player as a person rather than discovering the rando you've been chucking around is the legendary guide.

Or or oooorrr. You can make it like those cheesy 90's romance war movies and have Player give Rulie one of those double sided lockets with their picture in it to remember them by. Either it's an actual cut up polaroid of player in it, or Wild and Player went to town and paid an artist to draw them so that both of their pictures can be in it. If not, the other side can be a little not of players handwriting on the other side saying something like 'you are great' 'you matter'. Maybe even take it a step further 'I will always be with you, even though you can't see me' 'you will always be my Rulie~'.

My first boyfriend I ever had was in middle school, and the only reason we even got together was because I had gotten tired of the sheer tension and wanted out regardless of the outcome. Because I was so awful at words (it's the autism), I had sat down in my math class and wrote out an entire page of exactly how I felt, folded it up, shoved it in his hand at the end of the day and said 'do not open this until you get on the bus'.

That is fairytale to me: long term friends who meet once again and are able to forget about the evils of the world to just hang out and be kids again. Being really affectionate in fields, braiding flowers, holding eachother, discovering new things and growing as people together. Wanting so desperately to be together, but being afraid to open up, to take that final, terrifying step to finally connect the two together. Wanting more but also being afraid of losing it all. Knowing in the back of your mind that the time spent together is limited, but ignoring it because no scary thoughts can penetrate the bubble the two of you have created together. No. In that bubble is only joy, only light and freedom. Only two children who braid flower crowns in meadows and explore dungeons and groves for cool gems to present as gifts for the other. Only stars in which the two create stories for while they lie in grass plains. Only warmth. And ultimately, only safety.

Oberon would be similar to Hyrule but I feel Conquest wouldn't celebrate as much, but I can see him melting for like a millisecond if Player gives him a gift before hardening again. babes is her father’s only kid so you know she was very very spoiled as a child, especially after her mother passed away and dong hwa felt the need to spoil her twice as much in hopes she won’t feel her mother’s absence too much

grew up around gil (had to add him in the au <3), karl and richter and used to have (might still have) a big fat crush on gil in middle school, behold of aurora finding out later in highschool cuz she will remind karl about devyn’s crush every time just to annoy him (i’m never getting rid of aurora cuz her and devyn will forever be my best girls <3 😔)

as i mentioned in other posts about her in the modern au, devyn is a ballerina — following in her mother’s footsteps, and this one time she was chosen to play Coppélia in Coppélia/The girl with the enamel eyes, but she managed to sprain her ankle and obviously couldn’t dance for a good while, dropping the role in the process as well; awful period for her, the first two days she refused to eat and cried so much, she didn’t attend school the first week, but went to see her colleagues performance bc she supports her girls forever <3 gil, karl and aurora visited a lot that week, gil would usually come with karl and regret it, so when was time to leave, he faked leaving and came back to devyn so they could actually have a proper convo since when karl was around he always interrupted

i don’t know what sorcery this girl uses but she never breaks her nails, she always has those medium sized nude almond nails perfect. istg not one nail broken or chipped or anything

has a habit of waking up in the middle of the night to unbraid her hair; like she gets into her pjs, does her skin care and braids her hair and then when the clock strikes 3 or 4 am she wakes up—she mostly asleep tho so if you’d witness that, don’t try to talk to her, she won’t respond, she’s on autopilot— an unbraids her hair, as simple as that

much like our og devyn, modern au devyn despises summer and hates hates hates the hot air, give her spring or autumn time any day pls; she likes to have holidays in italy or greece during the summer, but you’ll catch her out and at the beach either till 9 am or after 7 pm, no in between, but will forever chose a cold, chill place for holiday in the summer over italy or greece or even south of france

i think i’ve mentioned it once, or told laila in private, but she barely knows how to drive lol; she got her license and was a great driver during the learning phase and a bit after, but with karl appointing himself as her designated driver, she barely touched the driver’s seat since she got her license so her skills are quite rusty

she’s often sad that her hair doesn’t really hold curls, like those made with a curler or even heatless, so whenever she gets tired of straight hair, she gets those lovely korean perms, gets a similar pattern to what her mother’s hair used to be

unlike og devyn, she’s not so skilled in the kitchen, but can do very basic meals so at least you won’t starve around her

Im really struggling for the second campaign though… like ok can I be honest here? I love both campaigns, I really really do love the work the cast puts into each episode!!! But for some reason the second campaign hasn’t exactly… captured my full attention? I don’t know how to word or phrase this, but as funny and amazing and cool Groteth is… it hasn’t exactly drawn me in as much as the Infinight campaign did. I really don’t know what it is, like literally they still have the same humor, rp and y’know all that, but like… I don’t know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I really want to say though I am between Mathide and Chip, mainly cuz Chip is a tiefling rogue (assassin too) and omg I LOVOOVOVOEEEEEE that. He’s also very funny, and love how his wife is missing (I miss my wife tails. I miss her a lot.), but also Mathide is just… so relatable. LOL

I think I liked Duran and uhhhhhh what’s her name again? Barbara’s character in the mini campaign, the Euthagenia memes are taking over my head so I can’t remember her name…
