but you're also really fucking hot, so you use it to your advantage. getting up close to her, returning flirty comments, swaying your hips more than you usually would and now she's the one with rosy cheeks.

whenever she has a hard day of being the start (which lets be honest, is most days) all she wants to do is lay in your arms while you speak to her softly.

adores kissing you! she doesn't really have a preference when kissing tbh. this girl could have a surprisingly good day being the avatar and would rush home just to kiss you aggressively as if someone really pissed her off.

loves cuddling. once again, even in public! she's a very affectionate person and you will more often times than not find the girl sneaking up behind you and wrapping her hands around your waist with a head on your shoulder, hot breath going down your neck. doesn't matter if your in the middle of an important conversation!

there are these little moments whenever she's had a particularly busy week and hasn't been able to see you much that she'll just relish in seeing your face and being able to hold you, hugs last forever with this girl.

you two have this sort of balance to each other. shes hot headed and often speaks her mind but you're calmer and think about what you want to say before saying it.

if you argue she's massive on communication. with the limited time you two can see eachother, she wants to savour the time you do have. so if you're upset at her, she's forcing you to talk to her.

but on more stressful days if she's upset at you... she's harsh and doesn't think about what she's saying. she doesn't mean it, but her words come off mean. she needs time to cool down before you let her come to you.

that being said she can definitely come off as possessive and pushy... and she is!

well she's possessive at least, she just comes off as pushy.

she's not a "oh my god she's gonna leave me for someone else so i have to keep my eye on her at all times possessive" she's more of a "i'm literally the fucking avatar and i'm trying to make sure she's safe" type of possessive

for example, if you get hurt she's pissed. super pissed. blinded by pure rage that you got hurt, at both you and whatever caused it.

"how could you be so reckless! so stupid? i swear you don't think before marching into a fight-!"

and then she's rushing to your side, asking if you're okay and taking care of you like she didn't say anything she just did.

constantly worried about whatever you're getting yourself into when you aren't around her.

if she's injured, you just sigh disappointedly while patching her up. she tries to make a stupid joke like "i really outdid myself this time huh?" but you stay silent. you don't want to lash out.

definitely improved on putting less focus on making everything look perfect! a while ago I focused too damn hard on making everything look precise and 100% correct, completely flawless and touched up to the point it, ironically, started looking even more off but now I don't really bother with that! I often make my stuff messy and only put details on important parts, I want to convey the general vibe I'm going for which is absolutely what I want with my art and what my major inspirations for art also go for

HMMM.... also a difficult one im not really sure, but I think I learned that my art is just one specific way and I can't hate it into changing. also that taking inspiration from one thing doesn't stop me from making my art meaningful for a different thing, like how I take inspo mainly from fashion design illustration but I can still make things that are symbolic if that makes sense. I can even use fashion as symbolism if I want to ^^

JJK season 2 episode 20 thoughts! Only three episodes to go

(Manga spoilers too)

I’ve said this a few times, but this is one of the best episodes in the series. It has the best combination of hope, despair, fighting, dialogue, voice acting, etc. that really shows the best of jjk and why I love it!

(Spoilers for the next episode preview below + a screenshot with ID in alt) I just hope that next episode is just as good because the preview looks like it’s covering the rabbit and wolves scene! This content onwards until the end of Higuruma’s trial is my favorite stretch of chapters, so I’m beyond excited. Fingers crossed for a Kenjaku cliffhanger (although I just remembered that Mei Mei scene with Ui Ui in the bed 🥴)

I MISS todo. Before Gojo was unsealed, I remember posting something about how Nobara and him were characters that made it seem like things could be okay and generally give some lighthearted levity. Todo is similar for me, in that his appearance brings a lot of hope and confidence. That said, that’s exactly why I’m not too surprised none of these characters are involved in the story, but I still think we’re way overdue for an actual update on Nobara and Todo. I don’t want their status to be an afterthought at the end of the series or never even touched upon. There’s even Nita’s brother in the recent chapters, but no Todo!

Todo is a fantastic mentor for Yuuji. I’ve already talked about this, but Yuki’s influence shows a lot once you know more about her character. In that way, it’s beautiful seeing him pass that along to Yuuji with his own interpretations and will.

Kinda continuing that, but with Yuki being his mentor, it did remind me of episode 5 of this season, both with Todo and Yuki’s ‘advice’ to Yuuji and Geto, and seeing Geto and Yuuji’s ideals and beliefs be challenged to a breaking point. I love how the anime portrays this—Geto makes his decision, whereas Yuuji’s shadows are still flickering when Todo talks about how they should approach the deaths of their comrades and that Yuuji doesn’t have to fully form a choice right now.

The VOICE ACTING!! Mahito’s VA outdid himself. He’s such an incredible villain and that came across in his voice cracking while berating Yuuji, then his quiet, serious moments. Mahito’s always been a perfect contrast to Yuuji and I love how explosive he gets around him. The VA does great in making Mahito so evil, intelligent, and childish at the same time.

I am obsessed once again with the animators making the line art sketchier to show Yuuji’s emotions!! The range of art from scenes like this to Miwa’s scene was amazing. While there’s been a few times where I preferred the manga in how the show was adapted, I endlessly love how experimental the animators get, since it creates beautiful moments like this entire episode.

Also I love the incorporation of the city shot from the first Jujustu Kaisen opening with the title card. That, and adding in the physical location of the ending for this arc at the end of the episode with the music over it. Such a fun adaption tbh. I wasn’t a big fan of the OST in the Nanami episode, since it was abrupt and didn’t hit as hard as the manga for me, but this episode’s music and lack of it was everything

I could go on about this episode, but I’ll stop myself. Just needed to do my weekly ramble because I can’t get JJK out of my mind

WHEW KAI! you outdid yourself, this chapter was heart breaking. essay incoming 😭

It’s interesting because a lot of the language Satoru is using is really selfish. It’s always what y/n didn’t do to keep their relationship good, naomi was there for him and helped him forget because she was an escape from all the responsibilities. it was only when he was put face to face with the reality of y/n moving on from him that he really started to reflect on how much he affected her.

i wanna say that satoru’s mom played a huge part in the rift between them. satoru doesn’t want to see his mom as she really is, so it’s easy to blame y/n. he mentioned previously about how his mom actively isolated y/n during family events and now saw her threatening to take his child away from her mother after physically assaulting her? i’m happy he stood up for y/n and set boundaries! it’s a START. at the end of the day, even if y/n and satoru aren’t endgame it’s so so important for the two of them to be able to coparent and provide the best for yui.

because satoru’s mom was behind introducing naomi to him, i imagine that she’s going to feed her poison about y/n and im worried that she’s going to convince naomi to try and baby trap him. 😭 hoping naomi doesn’t fall for it but… naomi knows something is wrong. i think his mom is projecting her hatred she probably had for her husbands first wife onto y/n and she feels some sort of kinship with naomi now. that’s my theory at least!

ANOTHER THING. satoru, come here… work on yourself honey. you can’t try and show y/n that you love her while leading on the woman you placed above her for months?? you need to be alone and work on yourself because this is so messy. fucking someone that’s in love with you knowing that you don’t feel the same is cruel.

i wonder what toji is thinking. he seems like a genuinely good person and i feel like he’d gladly step to the side of y/n told him she wanted to give satoru another chance. as of right now i think toji and y/n are perfect and i hope her feelings for him are true (him seeking affection from her for validation has be squealing omg) i’d be happy with either one being endgame (if she even ends up with someone but i’m still kinda team gojo IF he works on himself) 😭

kai you absolutely killed it with making these characters so fleshed out. i find myself feeling sorry for and angry with satoru and naomi at times and i’m so invested in this story! i love that you’re emphasizing that even if it’s the right person, it doesn’t automatically mean a relationship is going to be easy. love is a continuous choice to WANT to be together and work through your problems together. you’re displaying this perfectly and i can’t wait to see where you decide to take this.

they did. they finally talked and what a sight it was to see. like. they didn’t just talk about the little shit - they really laid almost everything out and that was honestly mature as hell. yoongi could’ve denied and denied and denied but.. he saw reader going all in. saying what she thought. and that’s when he felt like he should, too. 

“I want all of it” i had to stop at that line, too😂 it came out of nowhere and was a super nice (and heart-stopping) surprise.

2024 Horror Challenge: [24/?]

Plot: When a locket is removed from a collapsed fire tower in the woods that entombs the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit spurred on by a horrific 60-year old crime, his body is resurrected and becomes hellbent on retrieving it.

Starring: Ry Barrett, Andrea Pavlovic & Lauren-Marie Taylor

So, I watched this. lol Kinda wasn't quite sure if I could get myself to or not because I knew this thing was gonna be graphic with the gore. I prepared myself enough to at least be warned that this might test my limits. My fave YouTube reviewer even mentioned there was a scene that outdid Terrifier's infamous hacksaw one, which as I stated for last year's challenge made me quit watching it immediately cuz I felt nauseas. And you know, I get what she meant actually because there's a particular scene (the second pic is what I'm referring to) that is definitely a whole other level than I was expecting because man, talk about overkill. lmao There's another kill near the end that is beyond brutal as well but it's a lot more drawn out in a somewhat chill(? lol) way, so while it had me squirming, I was able to digest it easier. That feels weird to say but yeah lol Anyway, gore-wise, this movie lives up to its reputation as the most brutal one of the year so far. The thing that really sets itself apart from feeling like a total modern Friday the 13th rip-off is that it does what it can to feel like a non-movie throughout. There is no music soundtrack. There are super long takes of the killer just walking around the forest. There are also shots of people from far away, despite them having conversations. The main focus is the killer's pov for the majority of the time, or at least always staying with him in some form. Except the ending, which feels tacked on for whatever reason. Maybe to give us some final girl moment (and hey, I love a good final girl moment!) but this was not needed since it feels way too random. We did not get much time with the victims to care about any of them, and the acting wasn't great either so that didn't help. But I do have to say the cinematography was lovely. I was actually fine with the long takes because that was the chill time and decent ASMR before all the violence so you had time to unwind from it. I definitely wish they had cut that ending and it was a bit of a gorefest, so I can't say I'm one of the people who loved this but I am proud of myself for finishing it. I can admire what they were going for and you know, props to the indie movie making a name for itself. While not a favorite, it was certainly memorable and at least it was a change of pace. A true challenge for the challenge tbh.
