I remember seeing your post about Rei and another character having/being coded with szpd, so I was wondering, if you don’t mind, are there any there any other characters you read or headcanon having szpd?

These two I'm 100% sure are schizoid :

_Kusuo Saiki from TDLOSK (probably the other character you saw) -blunted affect (he doesn't even move his mouth, just projects his thoughts into others' minds) -lack of interest in relationships, even with his family -lack of interest in intimacy of all kinds -solitary hobbies only (playing video games, eating alone) -does not understand other people's emotional reactions -literally his whole thing is trying to be as unnoticeable as possible

_Dr. Susan Calvin from the I, Robot series -repeatedly described as cold, expressionless -formal speech -lack of reactions to criticisms -frequently compared to a robot, and said to be one of the only people who can understand the psychology of one -doesn't have any social relationships outside work (I think?) -the only caring relationship she forms is with Lenny, who is a robot (p.s. Lenny my beloved)

I also started reading Crime and Punishment, though my visual issues have made that extremely difficult and I've barely gone through any of it, so my opinion may change once I read on, but,

_Raskolnikov from Crime and Punishment (tentative/preliminary) -feels very divided from other people -unwilling to interact with others, to the point of paranoia of showing himself in front of them in order to avoid further obligation -very much in his own head -little regard for how others see him/how he dresses

There are probably more I'm not thinking of, from books I read as a child or maybe TV shows also and went "wow I like that one" without knowing why. Mostly robots, I'd assume.

For example, this one's from a while ago, so I may be misremembering details, have also not read the new book(s?), but,

_Murderbot/SecUnit from The Murderbot Diaries (of course, it is a cyborg, which is a big part of it, but still) -very formal with others -insisting on being referred to as SecUnit aka an Object, a Thing, a Product, rather than by a name/as a person -ignores its own bodily states in order to complete tasks/objectives -also feels very divided from other people -no interest in intimacy of any kind -the people closest to it, it still is quite reticent towards -someone knowing its thoughts, programming, or internal systems (i.e. Gunther and ART), is terrifying and violating to it, overall a lot of fear of vulnerability -frequently questioning its own nature and what it is -passive, so passive, puts itself into harm's way to feign having a control module just so that people leave it alone (I forgot that it even called itself SecUnit before I went to tag this... that is such a schizoid thing to do. Like, that alone is enough for me to see it as extremely szpd coded.)

Hmm... that's probably it for now... but thank you for the question, I had a lot more to say than I thought.

So I recently watched I Robot for the first time ever...

And this happened. I don't know, the mixture of pettiness and theatrics with this line delivery just made me think of Gavin immediately.

Damian Wayne starts reading more literature to engage more with the world, Jason suggests Isaac Asimov and the "I, Robot" stories in particular, 'cause robots are cool.

Yes finally! Expressing my love of "robot sentience" sci-fi!

Watched I, Robot the other night (which is a pretty good movie, I recommend) and I think it's obvious that DBH took some inspiration from this movie which is awesome. Of course there are some differences in story but if you like DBH you'd like I, Robot.

(I mean really, Lt. Anderson; hates androids because of mysterious past, investigates homicides involving androids & Detective Spooner; hates robots because of mysterious past, investigates a su**ide involving a robot)

Side note cause I thought it was funny: (spoliers) When I was watching the movie, I turned to my mom as soon as VIKI was introduced and said that VIKI was going to be like GLaDOS isn't she? I CAN SEE THESE TWISTS COMING A MILE AWAY I WAS RIGHT
