hi as a queer + enby hockey enjoyer, seeing a “i stand with god and ivan” sign @ the flyers game tonight was so uncomfy + upsetting. hockey is smth i enjoy + hold close to my heart. i and others shouldn’t be made to feel like we don’t belong there. hockey is for everyone- and im exhausted for having to fight for my place @ the table. humans that think that ivan’s boycott was small + not a big deal, don’t see the big picture here.

When your professor has to approve your paper topic and he says your chosen one is too complex to cover in a paper that size. So since it’s a two-part argument you offer to cut half of it out and he agrees. So you write it that way with only half of your original argument and turn it in. And he gives you a B, and his only criticism is that your argument doesn’t cover enough and that you you should have covered this aspect instead, THE EXACT THING HE TOLD YOU TO CUT OUT OF IT. And he highlighted the very same argument in your paper that you presented to him and got approved ahead of time and says, and I quote, “if that’s your argument, it’s a rather sad one.”

I don’t even know what to say. I’ll probably email him tomorrow because this makes no sense. I’m just stunned and offended that he has such harsh things to say about a paper I worked very hard on and wrote the way he told me I should.
