(Based loosely on Try Again - PRETTYMUCH cause I've been listening to it on repeat and it feels like a Hyunjin song to me, personally. I also wrote this to satisfy my insatiable love for watching him practice, cause let's be honest... choreographer!Hyunjin just hits different iykyk)

“Would you at least take some videos if you’re gonna bury your head in your phone?”

Your eyes sweep up to the shadow of the man who pauses his movement in the middle of the studio. Hyunjin straightens up, his fingers reaching for the brim of his hat. He pulls it off and runs his fingers through his dampened tresses, already sweaty from the past hour of practice.

“Well, excuse me, Hwang,” you mutter, resting your hand on your thigh. “I didn’t know I was summoned here to be your videographer.”

“You’re supposed to be critiquing my choreo so far.”

He’s been working on this choreo for his new solo, and while he didn’t expect you to drop in, he knows Minho has some part in you ending up here. Why? Because he was stupid enough to spill his feelings to him in full confidence that Minho would keep his mouth shut. One could say he kept his word, but still, he plays with fire in his process.

“Ah, right…” God, is it fun to ponder your next remark. You smirk as you watch him reach for the open water bottle near him. “Not enough sneaker squeaks.”

His hand pauses mid-drink, bourbon eyes cutting to your proud little grin. Your eyes are already back on the phone in your grip, tapping away like you’re texting someone. For a moment, Hyunjin is itching to know who it could be. But then he reminds himself that you’re not together anymore. He tilts his head slightly, tries not to let it bother him.

“You’re so unserious, my god,” Hyunjin mutters, and swipes at his forehead with a huff.

Your grin turns into a playful lip bite, and you can’t help but tease him a little.

“I’m being completely serious.” Your eyes find him again, and he exhales heavily. “The sneaker squeaks are an essential part of the performance. How will anyone memorize your routine if they can’t count the squeaks?”

“Okay.” He scoffs, pushing his hair back and putting his hat back on, swiftly turning back to his Bluetooth. You mock him with your typical Hwang Hyunjin voice, not noticing the way he shakes his head and smirks to himself.

Hyunjin taps the play button on his phone, taking a deep breath as he readies himself for another run-through.

It’s been hours since he started working on this specific number, and while the comeback wasn’t for a couple of months, he thought getting ahead of schedule would be nice. However, your being around brought on a difficulty to slip into the choreographer head space. Ever since his conversation with Minho, and Minho's comment about how you quote-unquote very well feel the same, I mean, have you seen the way they look at you?!, he’s been the embodiment of a goldfish in a bowl. He wishes things would’ve started off better because apparently, this lovers-to-friends plot line was only digging his early grave. Hyunjin’s fairly certain that after you two broke up, you only agreed to stay friends because you made good connections with the rest of the boys.

The rational side of him knows that’s not the truth.

Fucking less than five months and the metaphorical flames fizzle like a defective sparkler.

The only problem is that those feelings never fizzled for him. Even now, his heart stutters in his chest when you lock eyes with him. When you give him one of your little grins and cock your head as if to say you’ve won in the various dumb debates that you love to drag each other into.

Like right now.

“Seungmin agrees with me,” you say, standing up and shoving your phone at him right as he begins the dance. Hyunjin’s brows raise, blinking and tilting his head in a non-verbal question to get you to move.

“Seungmin agrees with you because it’s a dumb argument… and it’s you versus me.” he mutters the last part, watching you roll your eyes and backtracking to your spot.

“If you’re so confident in this, why am I still here?”

“You could leave,” Hyunjin says, his exertion making his comment sound harsher than he meant it to be. He locks eyes with yours in the mirror, his dark tresses falling in his line of sight. The smirk that threatens to quirk his lips sneaks in when you seemingly freeze on the spot, your eyes wider than usual. “I know you’ve got work in the morning.”

You’re mulling it over in your head now — a glimmer in your eye that Hyunjin pinpoints as he attempts to keep track of where he is in the choreography. He watches your eyes sweep to the phone, most likely checking the time. It’s roughly 1:00 am. You lock eyes again, the answer clear before you speak.

“Well, now I’m not leaving since you want me to.”

He gives a sardonic laugh, rolls his eyes as his foot slips and he misses a beat. Distractions…

“I didn’t say that,” he replies lowly, snatching the towel off the top of the stereo.

“You’re mumbling…”

“I said I didn’t say that,” Hyunjin speaks up, his hand bringing the fabric to his face to pat the sweat from his skin. You watch the drops of sweat as they drip off the ends of his hair when he pulls his hat off, and you feel the need to clear your throat. And then the towel is thrown haphazardly over his shoulder. All it has you doing is a double-take on the black tee shirt he’s wearing. The way it hugs his shoulders and chest should be outlawed, you think.

But then he reaches for the open bottle of water again, and you purse your lips. It’s another short swig, a singular drop of water escaping from the corner of his mouth. It travels down his chin, slowly slipping down the length of his neck, your eyes trained on the path it follows. It stops just before the collar of his black tee and you question why it’s suddenly hotter in the studio.

You swallow, forcing your gaze away and back to your phone before Hyunjin can witness any more of your blatant ogling. As you return your gaze to your phone, you feel the heat rising to your cheeks. You’re not embarrassed, not really, but the idea of getting caught sends your brain into overdrive.

“Still waiting on some critique I can work with~” he sing-songs, placing the bottle and towel back beside his phone.

“Maybe I don’t have anything to say,” you reply, and he chuckles.

“You?! With nothing to say? That’s a first.” He walks over, leaning against the wall and folding his arms over his chest.

With the wave of feelings you’re dealing with, Hyunjin’s comment has you bristling. You glare up at him as he arches a brow at you as if challenging you to say something. That stupid smirk quirks his lips. Butterflies swarm in your gut.

“Fine, then.” You lean forward, propping your forearm on your knee as the two of you stare each other down. “You’ve been favoring your right leg through the entire first verse of the song, your hip rolls aren’t deep enough during the chorus, you seem undecided on whether the overall choreo should be slower or faster—” You list off each critique on your fingers, and while Hyunjin wanted your genuine criticism to work toward a better overall performance, he’s clocked out to what you’re saying. His eyes sweep over your face as you continue listing the things he could improve, and he grins at the way your eyes seem to glow in the studio lighting. A fire. Passion for the things he’s passionate about.

“—And another… thing…” Your voice drops to a surprised whisper almost instantly when you feel Hyunjin’s fingers curl under your chin, feather-light against your skin. You blink, realizing just how close he’s gotten, having bent down so his elbows rest on his knees. His head cocks slightly, tongue darting out to lick the corner of his lips. Brown eyes flicker down to yours a moment later.

“Another thing?” Hyunjin repeats, his tone a low murmur. His breaths mingle with yours, your heart beating erratically in such close proximity. His index finger runs the span of your jaw as he stares, a tangible connection that still feels natural and electric to him. A reminder of the silent tension that has always lingered.

The familiar scent of his cologne clouds your senses. It brings you back to the nights he used to spend at your apartment, with the two of you watching K-dramas until 3:00 am. Your bodies a mess of limbs in your bed, his distracting kisses up your neck until you’d try to playfully shove him away. He’d reach for your jaw to pull you in for soft kisses that would evolve into slow and lazy make-outs in his arms. Your eyes dart down at the reminder, and you mentally curse yourself.

“I, Uh.” you stammer out a few words before falling silent, your eyes fixated on his. The moment hangs in the air, the tension between you thick and palpable.

Something, something, boundaries… Something, something, self-control…

Hyunjin can’t help the sly grin, feeling the skin under his touch move when you swallow. All logic has left you in favor of longing for those familiar caresses you had years ago. It sure hasn’t changed, every subtle brush of his fingers ushers forth shivers down your spine. You are teetering on the edge of a cliff, the question being do you jump? You want to. Hell, with the way Hyunjin’s gaze keeps darting down, you can’t help but wonder if he’s feeling the same way.

You attempt to regain control of yourself, but it’s futile — your focus is lost, distracted by the proximity of his lips. Fuck, is he leaning in…

“Your expressions.” You finally manage, the only lingering critique swirling around in your head. “They, uh, could be sharper…” You say, watching Hyunjin sharpen his gaze like a conniving fox. And like a trickster, his fingers drag from your jaw to your neck, dark eyes following its path until the steady thrum of your pulse halts his journey. Your eyes drink him in, lips parted as Hyunjin’s brow twitches in a knowing gesture.

We can’t do this, not after all this time.

The silence crackles with anticipation. You’re fairly certain that Hyunjin knows some part of this is dangerous cause he hesitates for a moment. But then he’s leaning in, his thumb tracing circles against your neck. You mirror his movements, so close that this sliver of distance feels like a challenge. Unspoken desire hums between you two, a heat that has always lingered, just waiting for the right moment to reignite.

Just friends…

The soft brush of Hyunjin’s lips against yours slams the factory reset on your thoughts, mental gymnastics be damned. The tension snaps like a rubber band. You finally give in, capturing his mouth in a meaningful liplock. It feels like no time has passed - he still kisses you with the same careful tenderness that he always has. That familiar heat runs through your body as you sink into him, chasing his lips when he pulls away for a split second only to recapture yours with a fervor.

Your phone is forgotten in your lap, hands sliding up his chest in a new wave of confidence. You pull him closer and Hyunjin groans softly, his free hand coming up to brace his weight against the wall behind you. Your mouths move together in a seamless rhythm, your kisses growing hungrier and more desperate. The brim of his hat grazes your forehead and you slip one of your hands higher into his hair, hooking your finger around the strap. It falls to the floor with a dull thud, allowing your fingers to rake freely through his dark tresses. A subtle pull that has him smirking against your mouth.

Hyunjin pulls back slightly, his fingers sliding from your neck to your jaw. Your lips part in a sigh as you both sit there on the floor of the dance studio, panting against each other’s mouths. Eyes closed, you feel his forehead rest against yours, your noses brushing. You bite your lip, savoring the warmth of his skin on yours.

“I’ve missed this,” he tells you, his voice barely above a whisper.

“Me too.” You murmur, lashes fluttering. God, what an understatement. You’ve been close even after you ended things, with friendly shoves and your usual back-and-forth banter. But the feel of his warm hands against your skin, the comfort of his close presence, his plush lips. This is what you’ve truly been craving.

His scent lingers in your lungs, his heart beating steady beneath your palm. You feel Hyunjin’s fingers knead the skin of your jaw, tilting your head up so he can come back for another chaste kiss that soothes the ache in your chest. He pulls back, pressing his lips to your forehead as he shifts to sit beside you on the studio floor, his back to the wall. You lean back, resting your head against the wall, your eyes locked on the ceiling.

Silence… as comfortable as it’s always been with the man beside you, you despise it right now. It only has you in your head after both of your confessions. What does it mean for you two?

Your gaze wanders back to his. Only those browns are already looking back, a softness in them that has always been there when they’re looking at you. Hyunjin gives you a half grin, reaching out for your nearest hand and slipping his fingers between your own. His thumb caresses the back of your hand as you both sit there, minutes passing by.

“You’re not going to say anything, are you?” Hyunjin’s voice shatters the silence, staring up at the ceiling.

“We should be running through what not to do when you stay friends with your ex right about now,” You’re half joking, but your tone is more tense than nonchalant. Hyunjin laughs under his breath, looking at you from the corner of his eye. You don’t look at him, but you feel him squeeze your hand lightly.

“You should know how difficult it is to stay friends with an ex.”

“Oh, is it?” A small huff escapes your mouth, and you steal another glance, licking your lips.

“You don’t need me to tell you why, do you?” Hyunjin replies, his voice a low murmur. His head turns to you, his gaze fixed on your lips as you bite at them nervously. “You could have cut all contact with me. You could have moved on and we would have gone our separate ways…”

“I didn’t want to do that.” You admit. Your fingers twitch in his palm, pads running over small callouses and lines as you try to distract yourself with something. Anything. His hand wraps around yours again, squeezing firmer this time. A gesture of reassurance.

“I didn’t either.”

You swallow, picking your gaze off your entwined hands, and your heart skips a beat when you meet his eyes.

“We’re gonna have to decide what this is, aren’t we?” You say, the words sounding more serious than intended. Hyunjin does respond immediately. He just stares, his eyes awash in a mix of emotions you can’t quite decipher. He breathes in, tilting his head slightly.

“Yeah…” He says, his voice low and steady. The weight of that realization settles on his chest, but Hyunjin shakes his head and offers you a genuine grin. “Maybe after a good night’s rest.”

“And a shower.” You smirk, pulling away from him in a joking fashion. But he pulls you back into him, wrapping his arm around your shoulder. You screw your face up and he rolls his eyes.

“Didn’t hear you complaining with my lips on yours just a moment ago.” He teases, nuzzling his nose against your cheek. You huff a laugh, leaning back against him.

“Hard to complain when you’re a good kisser.” you counter, bringing a hand up to his shoulder.

“Ah, couldn’t forget that over the years?” Hyunjin mutters, a hint of playfulness in his tone. His lips connect to the junction of your jaw, slowly trailing kisses down the hollow of your neck. Your fingers dig into his shoulder blade, your lashes fluttering over your cheeks.

“I don’t think I ever could.”

Your words send a rush of satisfaction through him and he nips at the sensitive skin just behind your ear. This closeness and playful back and forth is what he’s missed. A comfort that he never wanted to let go of. Even now, as the clock nears 2:00 am.

You capture his face in your hands and pull him back up with little argument, your thumb tracing the corner of his lips.

You don’t realize he’s leaning in again until you feel his lips on yours. It’s a slow and tender kiss this time, but the passion behind it burns hot. You revel in the subtle way he pulls you in, his hand falling off your shoulder to find purchase at your lower back.

Hyunjin eases up, and you’re left breathless yet again, your heart thumping in your chest.

“You gonna be able to sleep after this?” He asks, a sly grin curling his lips.

“Old habits die hard…” You breathe, pulling him in once again.

With that alliance of five, she can get Tom out, the biggest threat, and then Jake & Miriam stand no chance against them.

There's NO REASON to try and side with them when it's THAT EASY.

Okay, okay, I'm NOT someone who hates it when my favorite characters get eliminated and call that 'bad writing, they should've won'. Because sometimes that doesn't make sense for the story.

I CAN see a scenario of Gabby winning in my head. BUT if that's not the direction they want to go and they want a different winner, that's fine by me.

If anything, if you're gonna ask me who I think is gonna win... Ellie.

And I feel like the other finalists would be Jake and Fiore.

Cause I feel like Tom is a big threat so they'd want him gone and I think Alec and Grett are gonna get betrayed.

HERE'S MY BEEF THOUGH.

This plan, on Fiore's end, makes NO SENSE.

She has Alec and Grett on her side. That's an alliance of three.

Alec was successfully able to convince Ellie and Gabby to join them, and since both aren't close with the other three, that's easy. I can accept that.

So Fiore has an alliance of FIVE. The MAJORITY alliance.

Tom Jake and Miriam are the minority.

And thanks to Gabby, Fiore KNOWS that there's NO IDOL in play. So the minority CAN'T pull that trick on them.

So she and her alliance CAN successfully vote off one of the three. And ANY of the three would've worked.

Tom is the most physically gifted of the three and can be a threat in challenges, especially if he made it to the finale.

Jake has the social high ground as he's on good terms with Ellie.

Miriam is the glue keeping those three together.

Voting off ANY of those three would've worked on Fiore's favor.

"But what if Ellie betrayed them?"

She's NOT on good terms with Teal. The ONLY one of those three she IS on good terms with is Jake.

SO BETTER REASON TO VOTE JAKE, so Ellie betraying them is BARELY possible.

I'm a Jake Stan, but I can accept a Jake elimination in a gameplay move like this.

Ellie was already weary about Fiore's alliance as well, ESPECIALLY Alec. You NEED to PROVE that you're not gonna stab her in the back!

And you have her on your side!

By eliminating GABBY, the ONE person who Ellie WHOLEHEARTEDLY trusted, you BETRAY her YET AGAIN.

You LOSE one of your alliance members, therefore majority, AND you lose Ellie's trust that you'll be loyal to her! SO SURPRISE SURPRISE, SHE WON'T WORK WITH YOU.

You're in the minority, Ellie sides with Jake Tom & Miriam, AND YOUR ASSES ARE GONE.

NO, I'M NOT SAYING THIS CAUSE I WANT JAKE OUT. I LOVE HIM. BUT I'M JUST SAYING IT WOULD'VE BEEN A BETTER GAME MOVE.

I have to imagine another idol comes into play now. That's the ONLY way Fiore can defeat the other alliance now. She Alec or Grett need an idol to nullify the votes and get one of the heroes out.

...so yeah, I'm sad that Gabby's gone.

At least we got a Gabby & Ellie kiss.

Ngl, I wish we had more time with them. Cause they were on opposite teams, they couldn't interact a lot. Even when they WERE on the same team for an episode, Ellie interacted more with Jake than Gabby. I understand that may be building up to... that entire rant I did, but I would've swapped the screen time of the two is all I'm saying. At least in that episode.

But they're cute and perfectly healthy and in a show like this... THAT IS A DAMN MIRACLE.

I don't know for sure if they're both in Season 3. I would hope they are just so we get more of them as a couple.

Cause Ellie is GREAT for Gabby. And that final interaction with them proved that.

What's a dream that you've had recently?

RYUICHI: I had a dream where i was put on fire. i was on the rooftop of a building and i was talking to the sky and a random guy came and burned off my left arm.

SUGIZO: I don't remember.. i have a lot of dreams though.

INORAN: When we we're recording i was asleep dreaming about arranging songs.

J: I'm still dreaming now. I'm a boy who's always dreaming (laughs)

SHINYA: I always dream when i go to sleep so i don't know (laughs)

How would you describe what God is?

RYUICHI: Someone who knows everything

SUGIZO: God is the creator of everything, and all knowing. but his form might be all humans as well.

INORAN: ...I wonder where he could be

J: God's real form...i feel like it would be something inside all of us not a figure like Christ or Buddha

SHINYA: Something that is really important/precious. i have a really strong sense of faith so I've never missed hatsumoude (first shrine visit of the year).

What is something that lasts forever?

RYUICHI: I still haven't found it.

SUGIZO: The idea of space. but there might not be anything that lasts forever, but on my level of thinking i would say space

INORAN:hmm... i would definitely say love

J: That is something that I've always been searching for

SHINYA: Something that is endless would have to mean that it's something that you have to pursue but i guess that would also make it impossible to reach.

How do you spend most of your nights and from what hours?

RYUICHI: The time that i do spend in my house is very short. around 12pm i take a bath, have dinner, watch a video on cars. yea i probably do those the most.

SUGIZO: I am always up until the sun comes.

INORAN: I turn the TV because there's always something always going on , but by 4am I'll definitely have NO energy

J: Around after 12pm I'm usually drinking and rolling on my sofa listening to music.

SHINYA: I space out while thinking about a bunch of stuff, while watching TV.

RYUICHI: I haven't had any to listen to recently. I've kind of stopped listening to CDs.

SUGIZO: what I've been listening to is "ICE" and "DREAM DOLPHIN", but "TRICKY" has been my favorite since last year

INORAN: There's quite a lot so i cant pick what's my top 3, but i would probably say john Coltrane's album

J: Smashing pumpkins, Silverchair and John Osborne (TN: I'm guessing he means Ozzy Osborne)

SHINYA: none. when recording i only listen to our music, if i were to say which, style, mother and Eden.

Whats the first thing or person that comes to your mind when i say "quiet/still" ?

RYUICHI: I know a woman who is the exact meaning of the word silent, if i were to say an object..maybe a clock and i would also say that the waves of the sea feel still.

SUGIZO: The moon. the thought of death. I feel that if something is quiet/still it is like death, and not in a negative way but in a beautiful way

INORAN: I don't know...i think stillness coexists with movement

J: Me... why are you laughing??(laughs)

SHINYA: I think i would say God. i feel like he has a very still/quiet image.

Name a moment in the past when you've been the most angry

RYUICHI: I get pissed off when I'm denied to live the way i want to.

SUGIZO: Betrayal in human relationships, there's so many people that i would kill if i met them again. 　

INORAN: I get angry often so i honestly don't know (laughs)

J: Around high-school because i had to suddenly decided my own future

SHINYA: At the Budokan live a typhoon blew away the set, i genuinely went insane. (TN:pretty sure this was also their first Budokan live)

RYUICHI: I think i have a lot of car books, the books are western so they have a different feel.

SUGIZO: Phillip k.dick books.

INORAN: I don't read books.

SHINYA: The books that i have, have lately been collections of short poems, its more like "Oh i have nothing to do so I'll just read"

A person who has your ideal lifestyle

RYUICHI: No one, I guess that would mean that person is myself.

SUGIZO: Jim Morrison, or Mike Tyson. I think after he came out of prison his performance has been amazing.

INORAN: The life that I'm living right now is the most ideal.

J: Someone who doesn't give up no matter what life throws at them.

SHINYA: Someone who enjoys life, as in, no matter what they do they have fun, i think that's wonderful.

What makes you want to hug someone?

RYUICHI: I really love casual gestures. gestures that come out without knowing.

SUGIZO: When I love that person so much I can't help it.

INORAN: When i want to hug them.

J: There's lots of different cases so...i guess when i want to hug them (laughs)

RYUICHI: I don't think anything outweighs the sin of lying to yourself.

SHINYA: It's not something you can count, because living as a human at the core is a sin, if we can all live while being conscious of our actions i think the world would be a better place.

What have you lost recently?

RYUICHI: I think when you stop lying to yourself you have to make sacrifices....so there would also be a time where you have to lose friends or partners.

SUGIZO: Time (laughs)

INORAN: There are probably a lot of things I've lost, in order to gain something you need to lose something.

J: Nothing.

SHINYA: Even if i had lost something i don't really care, if I've gained something I've probably lost something in the process (laughs)

"Rafe, bro, I am so god damn serious right now if that wasn't my sister I would've thrown one your way, man." Kegs says to me, lighting up a j as we stand in the parking lot of the theatre, leaning against my bike and watching the screen burn and smoke and ash fly into the sky.

"Yeah, I get that." I respond, holding my hand out for him to pass it to me.

"What's up with her now, anyways?" He asks, taking a hit before passing the joint over. I take a drag as well before answering.

"She's staying at John B's." I answer, blowing the smoke out of my lungs.

"I figured that much." Kegs chuckles. "I meant more what's happening between you guys."

"Oh, yeah, uh.." I take another hit and hand it back. "Not fully sure, man, to be honest." I lie, avoiding eye contact as I hand him his weed back. It's not completely a lie. I mean, I know in my gut that I want to be with her. She's all I've been able to think about for a while now, even before I offered her a ride home on the night of the storm, but Snowy had never looked twice at me before then, I just don't know what she wants. Or how she feels. I just know that it took everything in me to leave her standing behind the burning screen as she cried over what we did to her friends. Fuck- it makes me sick remembering how she watched me walk away, the way her long, red hair hung down in front of her, and her cute little shorts. I need to stop. I just need this high to kick in so I don't think about it anymore.

"Really? 'Cause that's not what that video of you guys making out at Kelce's made it seem like." Fuck.. Someone filmed that? I sigh, running my hand through my hair. "I don't think I need to mention what I'll do to you if you hurt her."

"Yeah, man, of course. I wouldn't do that." I mumble.

"Dude, I'm serious. You haven't had a serious girlfriend the whole time I've known you." Kegs laughs and I shrug.

"I've just never had a nice girl." I chuckle.

"Snowy is nice." Kegs says, nudging me. "Listen, I'm not trying to scare you. You know that. I just don't want her to be another chick you hit and quit. She deserves better." I know that. She deserves better than me at my best, honestly.

"I agree." I tell him. "I don't know what she's doing hanging out with those pogues anyways." I say, in attempt to change the subject.

"Yeah, I mean, she thinks they make her happy." He shrugs. "She doesn't get that in the long run, like, she won't want to live on the cut forever. She'll marry that JJ kid and stay at her three jobs until the day she dies, funding his drug addiction." I feel my teeth grinding just at the thought of that. She deserves everything. I want to give her everything. I'm being crazy- I hardly know her, yet.

"Listen, I better dip. I'll see you tomorrow?" I ask, grabbing my helmet and straddling my bike.

"Yeah, of course man." Kegs nods, handing me the j for one last hit before I leave. I take it, then pull my helmet down and start my bike. Snowy wouldn't want me to drive high. I find myself pushing those kind of thoughts out of my head more and more.

I get home, and my dad has this great idea, more like demand, that I invite Snowy to Midsummers this weekend as my date, obviously to keep up appearances. I love that idea, I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about it, but I didn't want to put her out of her way, and I couldn't imagine she would want to come. Especially after she just hardly forgave me for what we didI don't have much of a choice now anyways.

I'm on my way home from the gym, and I see her old, beat up car parked outside the coffee shop she works at. Now is a better time than ever, I suppose. I park outside and sit on my bike for a minute after I take off my helmet, looking inside through the window. I don't see her, but I don't see anyone else either. It's perfect.

I take a deep breath before I get off, putting my helmet on the back and approaching the door. My hands already feel sweaty. Gross. I wipe them on my shorts and then look at my reflection in the glass, quickly making sure my hair looks okay before I open the door and walk in.

"Good morning, what can I get for you?" Snowy asks as she walks out from the back, customer service voice in full swing. She has her hair up in a ponytail that looks like it could fall out at any minute, and wearing these leggings that hug her curves perfectly. She is so pretty. She wipes her hands on her apron, since they're dripping wet. She was probably doing dishes- I feel guilty for interrupting.

"Iced Caramel Macchiato please." I say, trying to mimic her from when she ordered those for us the other day. She looks up, her face relaxing into a more genuine smile. It is so contagious.

"Oh, hey." She says, reaching down and clicking a few buttons on the register. "Just get back from the gym?"

I laugh slightly, gesturing down to my clothes. "How could you tell?"

"Just a guess." She shrugs, walking over to the espresso machine.

"So, uh, I needed to talk to you about something." I say, and she hums back in hesitant acknowledgment as I rub the back of my neck. I'm sweating like crazy- it's hot in here for it being before 8 am. "There's this thing this weekend, kind of a big deal apparently, and I was wondering if you would be okay with going with me?" I internally cringe at the way I said that. God- that probably made no sense.

"Midsummers?" She asks, pausing making the drink to look up at me. I'm getting butterflies in my stomach, just looking at her brown eyes.

"Yeah, that. My dad is getting some sort of award or something." I explain. "So? What do you think?"

"Uhm.." She pauses, clearly thinking. Great. I screwed this up with her already. Of course, I saw this coming- she should still be mad at me. "I would love to, I really would, but I don't think I'd be welcome there. Besides, I don't own anything even remotely appropriate to wear." She replies, with a nervous-sounding laugh.

"If you're my date, you'll be welcomed. Besides, my dad wants you there." I tell her, smiling despite how anxious I'm feeling.

"Ward? He specifically requested that I come?" Snowy raises her eyebrow at me, getting back to working.

"As a matter of fact he did- I can tell you don't believe me, but he loves Kegs, and he wanted me to bring someone to keep up appearances, since he's the guest of honour or whatever." I say, immediately hearing how bad that sounded. "Not like- fuck, that sounded bad. Not like I don't want you there." I laugh nervously. "I do want you there, and so does my dad. There. That's what I meant to say." This is humiliating. I'm waiting for her to laugh in my face- even though I know she would never do that. She's too kind.

"Okay.." She nods, placing my drink up on the counter in front of me. "I still don't have anything I could wear. I just don't want to embarrass you. I'm sorry. Maybe ask one of Sarah's friends? I'm sure they would be all over you." She jokes.

"That's the easiest problem to solve." I dismiss her comment. "I've got it. Here.." I say, pulling out my wallet and digging around for the bills I'm looking for.

"Oh my god, Rafe, no. I seriously can't let you give me any money. I can borrow something from Kie, maybe. I'll sort it out. I'd love to go." Snowy says quickly, shaking her head at me. She is so cute.

"Okay fine, then this for my drink." I say, placing eight hundred's on the counter. She just looks at me, as if to say 'come on, seriously?' and that makes me laugh.

"Your drink is free." She replies, crossing her arms. "On me."

"Oh, thank you. How sweet. Then that's a tip." I grin, pointing at the cash and she rolls her eyes.

"I'll pay you back, Rafe." She sighs, picking up the money and folding it before putting it in her pocket. "Thank you." Snowy says honestly, looking back up at me.

"Don't worry about it. I really want you to come." I say as I pick up my drink. "Can I pick you up from John B's at 3 and you can get ready with Sarah? That's a thing girls do, right?" I laugh, totally unsure. I've just seen that in movies.

"Yeah, totally." Snowy laughs, leaning her elbows on the counter. "I'm looking forward to it."

"Me too." I smile, taking a sip of my drink. "This is good, I need to come while you're working more often, Juliette." I tease her, reaching down and flick her name tag.

This music video literally made me go "wait..... is Utada Hikaru GAY?" They are in fact bisexual and nb, though they hadn't come out as nb at the very least yet. But its a song about neglecting their daily wifely duties to take a secret 2 hour vacation with their secret girlfriend. Sheena Ringo has such a good counterpoint voice to Utada in this, just this scratchy low lounge-y voice and it makes me insane. The music video is also wildly sensual and beautiful. Ore no Kanojo by Utada Hikaru - low slinky voice in this one that only got better once I read the lyrics, its one of the rare sort of downbeat slow songs that I like listening to but Utada always manages to do this for me. About a girlfriend talking about her role in a relationship and inviting her partner to know her more deeply and intimately than the surface.

Idol by Yoasobi - This song made me watch the first episode of Oshi no Ko and some crimes can never be forgiven. But Yoasobi knows how to put together a banger, even a super eclectic one like this. And the animation for the video is just gorgeous too. Hana ni Natte from The Apothecary Diaries - I gotta be so honest I barely remember how the beginning of the song goes but the second it goes HANA NI NAAAAATTEEEEE and goes off I start singing along so, good anime op.

Yes I know. I have acne, it's been in my life since I was 11. I have a million different products, but can never keep using them long enough to work.

I've had skin rashes, acne, whiteheads, blackheads. They're small, but there's so many, and they're all over my face. So I look red all the time.

"Oh, why don't you wear makeup?" that's like saying "If you have glasses and are insecure about how you look with them, just take them off" <- it makes their eyesight worse. They can't see without them. They don't feel comfortable putting contacts on. etc. etc.

george ☕️ bc we (i) need some positivity!!! (genuinely starting to lose braincells)

I can't really write character study-like opinions about drivers like some of the people here can, so this will just be my feelings about Georgie.

Probably too fangirly but to be honest right now I don't give a fuck. Sorry if it's not positive enough, I've seen too many shit today for it not to affect me more than I want it to.

Sometimes I see people saying that George is so weird they want to study him under a microscope. I know that they say it in a positive way but for some reason reading post/reblogs with this line gives me bad feelings. I know this is stupid but yeah I wanted to write this down because I haven't told it to anyone yet. I feel like some people only see George as the weird, really british, posh-but-not-actually-posh guy who doesn't have a personality. They see him as someone who can't drive, someone who can't be a team player, someone who's selfish and someone who always cries on the radio etc.

I don't know why but for some reason the drivers who become my faves are usually the ones others love to hate. So my fandom presence is a bit painful most of the times because it's difficult to find posts that are positive about my faves. Especially when they achieve a better result than their teammate. But I don't want to talk about this because this post is not about fandom toxicity.

If I think about when was the time I've started to like George or what is my first memory of him, the one that comes to my mind is when Daniel and him arrived together in the paddock last year. I don't know which race it was but it meant a lot to me to see that Daniel has the support he needs. I didn't expect them to be as good of friends as they are. And when George wore Daniel's merch for the first time... Oh, God. That was such an important moment for me. And that wasn't the last time when we saw him wearing Daniel merch, which is still insane for me. 😃

I think I've mentioned at least once that George is one of my top3 fave drivers and to be honest he's kind of a comfort person to me (as all of my faves). I really like looking at photos of him, thinking about which one to draw once I have time, watching videos of him, listening to him speaking (I really like his accent, it's so special to me – kind of a quilty pleasure). (Sometimes I feel strange because I see a lot of posts about people not liking British accents and British English. I can't really speak or write it I think, because on the internet I mostly see and learn American English but I still really like the British one too). — Also, this is the reason why I'm scared of writing stories about George. I have some plot ideas but I'm 100% sure I couldn't get his personality and accent right. So yeah, it's a bit painful for me but I try to watch a lot of videos and learn.

And now the post gets a bit personal, so if you don't want to read it, feel free to stop.

I'm not into men so I don't fantasize about dating any of the drivers but if I were into men, George would be the one I'd want to be with. He's not too introverted, not too extroverted, he seems to be a good boyfriend to Carmen. He's a nice guy.

And what I think about a lot when I'm feeling down is that he's the one is really want to hug. I don't want to meet with the drivers (yeah I'm not a real fan...) but still. There are some others I'd want to hug but George is the one I think about the most. He's huge compared to me, so it wouldn't be the most comfortable for him but yeah. (I think I'm about the height of Carmen. 😃)

Other people spend their free time fantasizing about dating the drivers and then here I am, doing the same but with hugging. Yeah, kinda strange, I know. Welcome here. 😃

I don't really know what else to say. I just really like George. I don't see him as a bad person. (I don't see any of the drivers as a bad person.) I want him to be happy, healthy and successful. I want to see him smile because he makes me happy with it. ❤

And I hope that he doesn't see all the online hate because he doesn't deserve it. People don't have to agree with everything he does but there are better ways to express opinions than to throw hate comments at the drivers, calling them shit, whishing their death and other disgusting things. No driver deserves these toxic comments, no matter where they're on the standings.

Also, I'm so proud of him for his result today. I know his finishing position is worse than his starting one but think he did a great job, considering what happened and how hard of a race it was physically. ❤

My weird feelings about Spirituality

I find Spiritual stuff in general interesting. But everytime my brain realizes its something spiritual and has do to with what you believe in...I tend to get defensive and try to push it out my life. Like I've always been more interested in Greek Mythology, North Mythology or even the Egyptian Mythology (I hope I'm using the right terms here.) as a child. I've been watching Youtube videos about it. But when it comes to religions like Christianity..I've been indifferent to it. I've always found myself debating and questioning, and saying that the stories are not realistic and make no sense. And that all of this is just some childish stories. Since I firmly believed that believing and praying to a God is stupid since for me he didn't exist. But as I got older I realized that this part of my trauma speaking. I still remember the time where I was crying myself to sleep and praying to God/or whoever listened that this all stops...at an age of six(maybe younger). Because people said if you pray than god helps you right? But nothing changed....if anything it became worse with time. So whenever people told me that "God put obstacles in my path to make me stronger". I was angry at that. I still believe that if some god finds its funny to traumatize children. That this god doesn't deserve to prayed to and worshipped, but a punch in his face. The child version of me deserved a happy childhood(like everyone else does) and not some stupid obstacles. So...now that I find myself interested in Witchcraft (mostly Pop Culture). It kinda fights against the belief I always had. That there are not gods that might help you and that worshipping someone is waste of time. If I'm being honest I am glad that I do not have to pray to anyone (even if I someday decide to work with some pop culture deity). Because even the idea of praying makes me angry and reminds me of the time when I was a kid...begging for my father to stop drinking and for my parents to stop fighting. As I started practicing and getting more information about Witchcraft. Out of curiosity or maybe out of spite to proof that all of this is BS I wanted to try to reach out to some Pop Culture Deity. It might be a stupid idea to do so as a way to get into Witchcraft, but who cares? I already did that. And I really liked the Characters Yae Miko and Raiden Ei. Raiden Shoguns Banner had a rerun at that time. I decided to use that as a way to reach out (after I did some information gathering about Raiden Shogun and other stuff.) is to pull for her and if I do get her than it's a sign. And I did got Raiden Shogun, which made me kinda happy. First...Raiden Ei fits great into my Team and Second it was kinda cool. I know it might be just coincidence after all Genshin Impact wishing system is very random. It surprised me even more since I lost the 50/50 when it was Yae Miko's Banner (I want to have all Electro Characters, because their my favourite regardless if I ever use them or not). So when I was pulling for Raiden Ei...I didn't have any hopes and was very pessimistic about that. Maybe it mean nothing...but to me it was an eye-opener, which made me believe in the Multiverse Theory. I became more open-minded about Spirituality in general. Of course its still work in progress, but I find myself being happy for people when they share their stuff about Witchcraft(even if it's about stuff I don't believe or even care about). Rather than getting annoyed by it like I used to be. I might still have a hard time with not getting triggered by Christianity (especially since some people try to put their religion into people's faces.) But I learned to understand that even if I will never be able to believe in their God/Jesus...but if believing in him makes them happy, then who am I to judge? Especially since I am interested in Pop Culture Witchcraft and in some Pop Culture deities.

okay firstly, this episode was pretty interesting! it was a bit shorter than the previous episodes but still something substantial. i'm nevertheless intrigued and still curious as to how things will develop.

but more importantly, COLIN!!!!! i know he was in episode 3 but i miss him already. it's interesting though that sam notes how weird colin's been acting lately. he is very intentionally going analogue. and to be honest i can't really blame him. he knows that the programs inside the computers are watching them, and will use practically anything digital to connect from one aspect to another and spy on people (remember how they managed to connect to alice's phone in the first episode??? literally no device is safe.) him doing literally everything he can to distance himself from the electronics is not going unnoticed. while we're on the topic of IT's, i'm wondering why gwen was so interested in them all of a sudden. does it have to do with the video she saw? could klaus be the german IT guy? what happened to him? perhaps he knew too much, and it was getting in the way of his work. and the fact he's german. could he be the one who wrote the code for the system? it doesn't explain things, but it definitely something to keep in mind. it seems like gwen is onto something, and she's starting her own little investigation.

i am also keeping an eye on sam. he's a bit better at this than jon, in the sense that he's not being overtly obsessive about it Yet, but something is up with him. he's a bit irrate and making incredibly bad decisions, but to be honest, who doesn't when they're in a bad mood? i do appreciate him trying to bring up colin's current state and offering some kind of solution, rather than pushing him away. i think he genuinely wants to help.

also alice is so confused. i feel so bad for her. "why is everyone acting so weird?" honestly i do not blame you. alice get behind me everybody is going to make you look like the weird suspicious person for trying to stay sane.

Hi geniune question here from a Christian woman, I think I've nailed down why I get a certain habitual sin of mine, but unsure how to implement how to stop it. I have a habitual sin of masturbating, and while I don't watch porn or read erotica now I used to as a teen. Nowadays I like to read dark stories, listen to country or steampunk music or instrumental songs, watch informational documentaries or macabre videos online, then find myself drawn to certain fictional characters from the shows and books and fall into committing the habitual sin thinking about the characters. I also did used to be wiccan/pagan but have turned to God during the pandemic, trying to ammend my ways to fit His ways. I think the way to fix this alongside prayer is to cut these media sources out, but I'm not sure how, because it seems the media I gravitate toward usually isn't steeped in sexuality, it's usually dark fantasy or folklore. Any tips or recommendations that are Godly for those of us ladies who like macabre and gothic subjects but follow Christ?

I think your solution is in your own word ; you admit consuming "dark stories" "macabre music" "dark music" and I know for a fact how much it can influence your spiritual health. I myself used to enjoy a channel about ghost stories (the channel owner was Muslim, and she definitively wasn't glorifying witchcraft or demons ("djinns") but still, regularly watching her videos made me feel like something was "wrong", so I eventually unsubbed.

I also think that "safe" media can also be very damaging, and they are the most dangerous ones because they seem so harmless that we tend to let our guard down around them. For example, if a say that love songs or romance novels are spiritually harmful, most people will think I'm crazy. But consider this : by focusing so much on love and romance, it breeds a spirit of lust within us. You might say "oh but it's just romance" but be honest, unless you're asexual, you'll eventually grow lustful sentiments towards someone you're really attracted to romantically (that's precisely what Paul was talking about when he said it was better to be married than sin if you feel like sexually incontinent). And yes, even for fictionnal characters. Why do you see fanfic are so much popular, and championed by women? They are a way to express female repressed sexuality by writing content about fictional characters they find romantically endearing.

For many people, lust isn't that much far from romance, and entertaining (even fictional) characters is a very slippery slope.... It's a form of idolatry, and it might as well develop strong demonic bonds with incubus who channel this lustful energy. : many cases of possession involve waking up having orgasms for example (this shit is serious : demons can have a physical impact on your body) (energy NEVER disappear, that's why we have to be very cautious to where we direct it)

Sanctification is a whole process anon, and you'll learn to get away of things you can't imagine living without, trust me lol All this gothic, macabre stuff isn't from God. Jesus is the God of Life, not dead. You might try to educate yourself on things from the "dark", but constantly surrounding yourself with it is ultimately hurtful. If you -truly- want to get rid of this dark energy following, get rid of this dark content, and if you want to get rid of your inclination to be drawn towards this stuff, you have to simply ask God to remove every idol from your heart. I'm not saying everything will go away overnight, but it will definitely be a progressive purge. I am myself in that process.

TGIWednesday: Where are the Aleutian Islands?

In what seems like a lifetime ago my father, (think of Hemingway or Roosevelt type of adventurer) dragged my brother and I across the country to go hunt emperor geese and black brandt in the Bering Sea near Alaska 🏔️. That almost sounds like a parable! In the middle of a cold nowhere ❄️ we rode on large 4-wheelers resembling golf carts, the guide looked down to a small pond where he spotted ducks 🦆 and geese  sitting on the water. He stopped immediately and we all quietly got our guns and slowly descended down steep embankments.  The last 25 yards or so we crawled while hearing both the ducks and the geese squawking and upon the guide saying, "get em!" we stood up and unloaded our guns on these poor ducks and geese! But they never flew off and just sat there in the water like decoys. Suddenly two men stood up from their duck blind and started screaming at us 🤬. I could see that one of the men had water splashed on his glasses from the shotgun blasts that hit the decoys and the water just in front of him. As luck would have it one was a city councilman, the other was the local game warden. 🍀 Lucky to get a good talking to instead of being arrested about sums it up!  After that event, the Aleutian Islands could be called the "Illusion Islands" 😂!   Remember, especially during an election year, not everything you see or hear is God's honest truth! Traveling nowadays is not cheap and for those that love it and the only holdback is funding your plans you may want to pick up our latest Audio MP3.

☀️ AnalyzGolden's Reactions To Disventure Camp Season 1: All Eliminations, Plot Twists, Etc. *Merge COMPILATION* ☀️

This Post is compilation of my reactions to Disventure Camp's Eliminations, Plot Twists, & Overall Big Moments.

For those of my followers who don't know, Disventure Camp is an independent animated YouTube show by OddNation Cartoons, that originated as a Total Drama fanfiction.

But due to legal stuff (Fresh TV HATES it when fan stuff of their shows get attention), they found a way around it by changing up the show to make it original, with completely original characters and settings. Because of this, they remade the first season after Season 2 was already done and published, and the remake (which is the version I watched) is the one that is canon to the show's story.

Btw, the original Season 1 that they made before this drama is now considered the 'beta' version, and it's not canon to the show's story. So you don't HAVE to watch the beta to understand anything, but it's there. (maybe one day I'll react to that too)

Obviously, BIG SPOILERS for this show.

If you asked me what my predictions were for this show: "Let's make a PLOT TWIST in the middle of the show and turn it into a zombie apocalypse 'The Walking Dead' show" Would NEVER be on my list.

WHAT THE HELL

I mean if you know me, you know I like death game stories...

But surprisingly, I don't actually like zombie apocalypse stories. It's not just my cup of tea.

Because zombie apocalypse stories are just so bloody hopeless and there's absolutely no way out of inevitable fate. It's just "This is hell, wait till it's your turn to die."

And I just naturally find that less compelling than stuff like Hunger Games, Squid Game, and Danganronpa, where there IS a possibility to escape your fate, even if it's really small.

With these kinds of stories, I'm just waiting for everyone to die. So I get less attached.

That's just my opinion.

TGIWednesday: Where are the Aleutian Islands?

In what seems like a lifetime ago my father, (think of Hemingway or Roosevelt type of adventurer) dragged my brother and I across the country to go hunt emperor geese and black brandt in the Bering Sea near Alaska 🏔️. That almost sounds like a parable! In the middle of a cold nowhere ❄️ we rode on large 4-wheelers resembling golf carts, the guide looked down to a small pond where he spotted ducks 🦆 and geese  sitting on the water. He stopped immediately and we all quietly got our guns and slowly descended down steep embankments.  The last 25 yards or so we crawled while hearing both the ducks and the geese squawking and upon the guide saying, "get em!" we stood up and unloaded our guns on these poor ducks and geese! But they never flew off and just sat there in the water like decoys. Suddenly two men stood up from their duck blind and started screaming at us 🤬. I could see that one of the men had water splashed on his glasses from the shotgun blasts that hit the decoys and the water just in front of him. As luck would have it one was a city councilman, the other was the local game warden. 🍀 Lucky to get a good talking to instead of being arrested about sums it up!  After that event, the Aleutian Islands could be called the "Illusion Islands" 😂!   Remember, especially during an election year, not everything you see or hear is God's honest truth! Traveling nowadays is not cheap and for those that love it and the only holdback is funding your plans you may want to pick up our latest Audio MP3.

TGIWednesday: Where are the Aleutian Islands?

In what seems like a lifetime ago my father, (think of Hemingway or Roosevelt type of adventurer) dragged my brother and I across the country to go hunt emperor geese and black brandt in the Bering Sea near Alaska 🏔️. That almost sounds like a parable! In the middle of a cold nowhere ❄️ we rode on large 4-wheelers resembling golf carts, the guide looked down to a small pond where he spotted ducks 🦆 and geese  sitting on the water. He stopped immediately and we all quietly got our guns and slowly descended down steep embankments.  The last 25 yards or so we crawled while hearing both the ducks and the geese squawking and upon the guide saying, "get em!" we stood up and unloaded our guns on these poor ducks and geese! But they never flew off and just sat there in the water like decoys. Suddenly two men stood up from their duck blind and started screaming at us 🤬. I could see that one of the men had water splashed on his glasses from the shotgun blasts that hit the decoys and the water just in front of him. As luck would have it one was a city councilman, the other was the local game warden. 🍀 Lucky to get a good talking to instead of being arrested about sums it up!  After that event, the Aleutian Islands could be called the "Illusion Islands" 😂!   Remember, especially during an election year, not everything you see or hear is God's honest truth! Traveling nowadays is not cheap and for those that love it and the only holdback is funding your plans you may want to pick up our latest Audio MP3.
