This ain’t a thirst but Keishin likes to sing quietly around the house when he does things. Doesn’t think you notice because he’s so quiet about it, but you definitely do, and it always makes you smile

Omg the way this hits for ME SPECIFICALLY bc I’ve found recently that I sing constantly and it’s annoyed everyone I’ve ever lived with but HIM?? Oh God. We would finish each other’s songs all the time 🥺 God now I’m soft for himmm

I used to want him to just dom the shit out of me (and don’t get me wrong.........I still do) but like?? Quietly singing along with whatever he’s humming? Sneaking up on him singing in the kitchen and having a cute little dance party?? I’m weak...

When you first started noticing it, you thought you were imagining things.

You would be watching a movie on your laptop while Keishin threw together some comfort food for dinner, and only during the quietest parts of the movie, you would start to hear a little background noise over the simmer of the burner in the kitchen. You would be tempted to turn down the audio on the movie to see if you were just hearing things but then you wouldn’t be able to hear the movie at all! So you just ignored it and carried on.

Sometimes, as you were scrolling through your phone in bed late at night, you would hear soft notes bouncing off the resonant tiles of the bathroom where Keishin was getting ready for bed. It was so faint, however, that it nearly blended in with the sound of the rushing water. But it became something that pricked your ears up at night.

Then you’d be picking up the living room while Keishin vacuumed the carpet, and though the vacuum was loud, you were almost sure you could hear a light melodic humming over the noise. Your eyes would sneak over to Keishin without turning your head directly to him and sure enough, as he focused on his task, you could see the corners of his lips slightly upturned as he quietly hummed to himself. You pursed your lips together to keep from smiling outright but the sight of him humming to himself was so cute. But you knew he’d kill you if you said anything about it.

So you went on pretending not to notice, but every time you had thought you had been hearing things, you started listening more closely to hear Keishin’s soft voice. He wasn’t a bad singer, either, from what you could tell!

Finally, one Sunday night after a particularly fun day together, you were going out of your way to make a nice romantic set up for the dinner table while Keishin cooked, and you could hear him louder than ever. Internally, your own heart was humming at the sight. You listened to the song, slowly going about setting the table so he wouldn’t notice you noticing him. But this time, he was humming so loudly and consistently that you were actually able to make out the melody - and you almost giggled affectionately when you recognized the tune.

Instead, with his back turned to you, facing the stove, you laid the last piece of silverware and quietly crept up behind him. You let him get to the chorus, his vocals sliding down the first line before throwing your arms around him in a rush, startling him as you finished the lyric -

“...now I’m sure that it’s true! ‘Cus I think you’re so-o-o good, and I’m nothing like you -”

Keishin gasped at first, completely unaware he’d been humming loudly enough for you to hear. He fought off a blush, completely enamored with you as he turned in your arms and looked down into your cheery face singing up at him. He wrapped his arms around your waist as you swayed, chest to chest, slipping the balls of your feet over his. Grinning, he let himself sing back to you, so happy with you in his arms that he let himself sing full out, his chest rumbling against yours -

“Look at you go, I just adore you! How I wish that I knew what makes you think I’m so special”
