I'm not healthy.

My illnesses don't kill me, at least not directly, but they can't be cured.

I know what it's like to grow up with a sick mother.

My husband and I have decided not to have children.

My mother-in-law knows this, but she really wants grandchildren.

Whenever she sees a baby somewhere she nudges me and says: "Look there, a baby. Isn't it cute?"

I gave up arguing with her. I don't explain over and over again how much her passive aggressive hints hurt me.

But whenever I see a dog I nudge her and say, "Look at this dog, isn't he wonderful?"

lch bin nicht gesund.

Meine Krankheiten bringen mich nicht um, zumindest nicht direkt, aber man kann sie nicht heilen.

Ich weiß wie es ist mit einer kranken Mutter aufzuwachsen.

Mein Ehemann und ich haben uns entschieden keine Kinder zu haben.

Meine Schwiegermutter weiß das, aber sie will unbedingt Enkel.

Wenn sie irgendwo ein Baby sieht stupst sie mich an an und sagt: "Schau da, ein Baby. Ist es nicht süß?"

Ich habe es aufgegeben mit ihr zu diskutieren. Ich erkläre nicht immer und immer wieder, wie sehr mich ihre passiv aggressiven Hinweise verletzen.

Aber immer wenn ijch einen Hund sehe stupse ich sie an und sage: "Schau dir diesen Hund an, ist er nicht wundervoll?"

Organizations That Can Help Me If My Rights Have Been Breached:

·         INDECOM (Independent Commission of Investigations): An individual can file a complaint to INDECOM, and they will investigate members and agents of the state if a person’s rights have been infringed.

·         JFJ (Jamaicans for Justice): They provide legal services for victims in response to human rights violations to receive justice.

·         Independent Jamaica Council for Human Rights: They promote recognition for Human Rights and civil liberties and undertake all necessary actions to secure redress and for all infringements of Human Rights.
