ESCAPE FROM GONGMEN TOWER please watch it right now please please it's such an underrated scene musically and visually. this is the scene where tigress catches a flaming arrow and that's the exact moment i became a homosexual. vic history. it's also the scene where we see her chops as a leader of the five and the way she's fit into this role to balance out Po so well. and also all her potential as who she could've been, if she'd been chosen to be the dragon warrior herself. but she's not.

MUSICIAN'S VILLAGE I LOVE this scene the way it introduces, to the audience, that the score is going to play a part in the fight scenes of this movie is absolutely magnificent. and the way we get reintroduced to the furious five's + po's fighting style, and it reminds us immediately that they are formidable--and then sets up the inciting incident of the plot with so much mystery (and we see the 2d animation style again too, which has always represented po's inner subconscious. WHY DIDN'T THEY DO THAT FOR THE FOURTH MOVIE. whatever)

i would say the bridge fight (kfp1) and i adore that scene but i have to say, i really love the performances, the ambience, the color boards, the sound effects, and the emotional impact of shifu and tai lung's fight in the 3rd act more. i love when kfp actually invested time in its non-main protag characters. tai lung was an absolutely fascinating villain and this scene just rounds out his character so well

The entirety of the secrets of the scroll short film oh my god i love that one so much. teenage tigress. my baby girl.

FUCK okay and then the fireworks factory (2nd movie) where Po confronts Shen about his past. And he gets shot with a cannon and Tigress doesn't get to him in time. breaks my heart every time. i'm going to include the scene where Tigress and Po fight right before that in the jail too bc the musical score called "Fireworks Factory" starts with THEIR HUG. AND IT ENDS WITH HER RUNNING TO CATCH HIM. AND FAILING. MY BAKA LIFE !!!!! i don't even ship them anymore like i did when i was 14 i mostly just love tigress but their platonic relationship is v important to me. i have to include their hug bc that did irreparable damage to me as a tween. sorry the quality of the first vid is so ass. their relationship in the entire 2nd movie is so good i could write a whole analysis on it probably. it's paining me physically to not include their earlier boat scene talk.

this is also the scene where tigress snarls at the gorilla and that changed my brain chemistry forever.

i love the entire second movie this is so hard for me AUGHHHGHGH okay quick honorary mention: i also love the scene where we see shen fight the three masters (rhino, croc, ox). that quick fight scene is SO well executed. the dialogue and the performances are incredible. i used to have every line of dialogue of this movie memorized and especially loved reciting this scene (skip to 1:10)

and then if i had to pick a moment from the third one it's the one where oogway's statue gets wrecked at the jade palace. it lands emotionally very well for a scene that could have easily been mishandled too comedically or too quickly. like it still gives me chills. and i'm not even gonna touch on the character animation/acting of tigress and shifu here bc GOD. kai's theme does rock also!!! AND i LOVE the colors in this movie SO MUCH holy fuck

and then a minor detail from the first one is i love how the characters act with each other, namely the five and shifu. they clearly have a history and/or comradery with each other. shifu undoing the nerve damage tai lung did in a way specific to each of his students stands out to me in particular.

1 and 2 are masterpieces to me and i have my Things about the 3rd one but overall, a beautiful trilogy. i wish the 4th one didn't exist im killing it with my bare hands. vic hate movie? vic murder it. 5th rule of the streets.

His hot breath fanned against your exposed, sweat covered neck, just before he placed an open-mouth kiss on your jaw, beneath your cheek. His teeth grazed against the soft skin nipping on it before giving the patch of skin another kiss as if to soothe it. The attack on your neck never once ceased while you squirmed in his lap, arching your spine while he had a soft but firm grasp on your lower back. He trailed the neck kisses all the way to your mouth, where he yet again kissed softly before entering his tongue in it, filling said kiss with hunger and lust. You grabbed at his soft, curly hair when he pulled back from the kiss and observed you with curiosity and intent. You paused at the same time as him, looking at his sharp features lit by the ethereal candle light that surrounded the both of you, revealing both of your naked bodies to each other. 

The man in front of you then laid you on your back, on the soft mattress you both were on just before he started kissing your ankles, all the way to your calves and finishing on the inside of your thighs. He continued the trail of kisses up your stomach before he reached his hand underneath your chin, making you look up at him. He could read you like an open book, your face covered in desperation for his touch. 

He looked at you with his chocolate-brown eyes in a condescending and selfish way you could only shiver at, tilting your head upwards to face him. You didn’t know if this was an intimidation tactic or if he was just trying to be in control of the situation. Either way, you didn’t mind and a desperate whine came out of your lips, making him smirk at the sound.

As a response, he kissed you yet again with the same hunger as before while grazing his fingers on the slit of your cunt. This, yet again, made you shiver with anticipation. He softly teased your clit before teasing your entrance, just before entering it with his fingers. You let out a soft, airy moan that only motivated him further to insert another finger into your hole. He then slowly and teasingly started to pump said fingers in and out, on a “come-hither” motion. 

“Please…” You pleaded.

After battling that instinct of calling in sick for the day to hide away from the embarrassment, you got up, had breakfast, decided on a rather slutty but suitable-for-work outfit for the day (it was instinctive, it’s not like you wanted to catch Brad’s attention or anything…) and headed into the office. 

When you got there, you immediately sat in your office’s chair and placed your backpack on the sofa in front of your desk, right after you closed the door. A long sigh left your lips as you pinched the bridge of your nose in a disgusted confusion regarding the dream you had just woken up from. It’s not like you hated Brad like everybody else, but you weren’t really fond of him either. You always hated the way that he was unable to do kind things for anybody. 

You had certainly never thought of him in that way before, but if you were honest with yourself, he was very handsome. He had sharp features, a defined jawline, beautiful brown eyes and he was very tall, much taller than you. Your thoughts were then cut off by someone abruptly entering your office without even knocking, in a very nervous way.

“Y/N! We need you to come up with the masked man’s redesign like, TODAY! Montreal is going absolutely nuts because, apparently, the build-up is too big and the fans are in deep need of seeing it’s redesign!” Poppy, your co-worker and friend screamed at your door. You weren’t in the mood to deal with the crazy today, so you just nodded and got to work. 

You were the art and animation team’s leader. You and your team had too much work to deal with the Masked Man’s new design but you couldn’t refuse to do it. You would probably have to work on it all day and save the rest of your work and responsibilities for the night. On top of all, you couldn’t shake Brad off your head, no matter how hard you tried. The man was like a constant menace in the back of your head, not ready to leave anytime soon. 

Like a manifestation, someone knocked on the door to your office once again. You snapped your head towards the door and in an irritated tone, you let the person behind the door come into your office. Of course, it was Brad.

“Good morning! I decided that for once I wanted to do something nice, so here you go” He said, placing the cup on your desk. You immediately blushed seeing him enter your office and the memories of the dream you had that night came back. Him kissing your neck, fingering you, fucking you…

“Wow, thanks Brad. I um- I don’t know what to say… thanks, again?” You cursed at yourself for being so awkward.

“Yeah well, no problem. I’m here with ulterior motives.”

“Of course you are, go on. What do you want from me?” you asked with a bit of sarcasm in your voice. 

“Well, you know how the masked man is being re-designed right? Yeah of course you do. What I need is for someone on your team to create new merch for him. If it’s more of a fan-service type of merch, it would be amazing. Like in a mug or-”

“Absolutely not” You cut him off, taking a sip of coffee loudly. 

“Y/N… I truly tried to be reasonable, bringing you a cup of coffee and all” He said, rubbing his hands as if he was a mad scientist from a kids TV show. This made you roll your eyes. Your action made Brad lean on your desk in an intimidating way. He was practically towering over you while you were sitting in your desk chair. He made you feel small, like you needed to go back into your little shell and, if you were honest with yourself, you kind of liked it. 

“You have no choice but to do as I say. I practically own you and your little art club.” He whispered, his face close to yours. His hot breath fanning against your ear. 

You immediately blushed, very hard. You felt your hands become sweaty and your mouth dry. You gulped being intimidated by his presence but at the same time so fucking horny. You softly nodded, his face so close to yours your faces almost rubbed together at the cheeks.

“O-ok.. y-yeah no worries. I-I’ll tell someone from my t-team to get to it…” You didn’t know what had gotten into you. In normal circumstances, you wouldn’t have agreed to do this, especially since you weren’t scared of him. After the dream you had, it was like you had a shift in your consciousness and was at his complete mercy. It scared you.

Brad then proceeded to leave. Walking backwards with a disgusting grin on his face. There was times you really wanted to punch his smug face, but obviously you also wanted him to kiss you really fucking badly.

As the day went on, you tried to ignore Brad as best as you could. Everytime you interacted with him, the dream you had crept back into your mind and it made you blush madly. Every time this happened, he would look weird at you and brush it off. You were thankful he didn’t piece everything together because, if he did, he would make your life miserable for the rest of the week at least. 

Your break was then interrupted, yet again, by your coworker Poppy regarding the masked man’s redesign. She started talking non-stop at a very fast pace. You weren’t really paying attention to her, your focus going onto the slim man standing in his office talking on the phone. You could see him through the windows of his office. He seemed calm but powerful at the same time. You were practically drooling all over him. When he caught you looking, he smirked and winked at you, making you snap out of your trance, look away and blush yet again. 

“Ok, I’m sorry. What the fuck is going on with you today?! You’re not even paying attention to me, what are you looking at so intently-” She paused, looking in the direction you were looking to and automatically gasped in horror, as if you just had killed someone “You were LOOKING AT BRA-” You cut her off by putting your hand over her mouth, as if you two ere cartoons.

“Shut up! Poppy shut up! Ugh…” You, again, pinched the bridge of your nose in annoyance and looked at Poppy, who seemed horrified “Look…I had a sort of dream about Brad and now I feel all confused and shit.”

“Oh… OH, wait what the FUCK?!” She was even more confused than before but patted your back understandably. She was a good friend. A shitty boss, but a good friend.

What you both didn’t know is that someone else could hear your conversation. David was just behind you listening to everything without even noticing he was at first. You only knew he was there when you heard a surprised squeal by the man behind you. You and Poppy slowly turned around and horror once again filled both of your faces. David Bittlesbee was known for many, many things. But one of those things was, ultimately, not being able to keep his mouth shut. 

“David…” You said, as if to warn a dog or a child of not doing something “Please, don’t say anything. I’m begging you” The man in front of you just shook his head and ran away from the situation, taking cover in the office he shared with the man that filled your fantasies. 

“Oh boy… you’re fucked” Said Poppy in a nervous tone.

“Yes. Yes I am.” And with that, you took cover in your office. You closed the door and creepily spied on the man that you were sure was about to ruin your life. 

David entered his shared office with Brad with a nervous look on his face. He looked as if he was about to burst. Brad immediately laughed at him seemingly said something to him. You didn’t know what exactly, because you couldn’t the men talking, but you assumed it was something along the lines of “What the fuck is going on with you?”. 

The two men continued talking, you supposed Brad was trying to get everything out of David and he seemed to get more nervous by the second. You continued looking through the blinds of your office intensely both of them and saw Brad continue to push and tease David to tell him what was going on. David was pacing and you heard a muffle shout come out of his mouth and saw him throw his hands up in the air defeatedly. 

After that, you saw both men look directly to your office. At that moment, you thought your heart might stop. You made eye contact with Brad and immediately shuffled away from the office’s window, closing the blinds. You started nervously pacing around the office, not knowing what to do exactly. You also started biting your nails as you thought about all of the possible outcomes. Would he belittle you? Laugh at you? Perhaps he tells Carol from Human Resources and has you fired?! Why would they fire you for having a wet dream, that’s stupid. He was going to make your life hell-

Your thoughts were interrupted by a knock on your door. You were absolutely terrified at that exact moment. You thought you might die of embarrassment. The only possible way to escape this situation now was if the earth swallowed you whole, and you really wanted that to happen.

“C-Come in!” you shouted at the person on the other side of the door, knowing perfectly well who it was. “Hey Brad! The money-maaaaaan. What’s up? What do you need?!” You yet again cursed at yourself for being so. Fucking. Awkward. You sounded fucking mental. The slim man in front of you closed the door behind him, and walked towards you slowly.

“A piece of information came to my ears just about…” He looked at the watch in his wrist to check the time “...five minutes ago”

“Oh yeah? And what might that be?” You thought playing the innocent card might save you from this awkward encounter 

“Well… after pushing David, for quite a short amount of time, actually” that smug smirk came back again, raising anxiety and anger in the pit of your stomach “He told me you were keeping a little secret from me” 

“Really? And what might that be?” You said in a high pitched voice.

“Don’t play dumb Y/N. I know you had quite a dream about me” he walked closer to you while you were both standing in the middle of your office. Leaning in he bent down a bit, to match your height and whispered in your ear “I didn’t know you thought about me in that way. You’re quite the naughty one aren’t you?” You gulped nervously and blushed madly for the one-hundredth time that day. He retreated his head from your ear and placed it right in front of your face “I bet you are fucking desperate for me to kiss you right now?”

You weren’t aware of what you were doing, but you were slowly leaning in to kiss him. When you noticed, you were almost closing your eyes and he was very close to your lips. In that moment, he retreated his face and straightened his back to look down on you. He then scoffed and grinned, taking an aura of superiority. 

“Hm.. I don’t think so. Don’t get me wrong, you’re hot. I just think I could have a bit more fun with this, with you.” And with that he chuckled and left your office leaving you a blushing mess. 

He was such a fucking asshole, and you knew it. It’s not like you were new in the office and didn’t know how Brad was. That was just how he was, and everyone accepted it. You accepted the fact that he was a dick long ago, until you had that fucking dream. Or at least that’s what you convinced yourself to think. Deep down you knew he was very hot and you couldn’t take you eyes off him. You needed him, badly. Even if you knew you would get hurt.

I’m a huge Multishipper and find the merits of almost any Ship for Bob’s Burgers. I’ve seen so many good content for so many lovely ships!! Here are some of my favorites (and the blogs that produce the best content for these ships):

Tina/Josh is so underrated, in my opinion. The show did make it so they’ll never be canon (probably), and Josh didn’t get nearly enough screentime, but I think they’re adorable. I loved them so much in Linda-Pendant Woman, with Tina pulling a Prince Charming and trying to find who Josh’s bandaid belonged to. And their Fresh Feed kiss!! Tbh, I kind of ship them the most (please don’t come for me) and they’re super cute. But the show’s most likely not going to do anything else with them. They have a ton of potential, and I wish they spent more time fleshing Josh out as a character. If they had, this ship had the potential of being as good or even better than some of the other ships with Tina. I also definitely headcanon Josh as Bi. That boy is not straight in my opinion.

Tinimmy is such a classic, I adore it and all of the lovely content that @drawthethingdoppelganger and @jimmyjrsmusoems have put out. These two are the absolute Tinimmy Queens, so if you want Tinimmy content, go to their blogs immediately!! It helps that this ship is basically canon, and Jimmy Jr. is such an awkward dork 😭 He doesn’t know how to express his emotions, but he does care so much about Tina despite what some people say 😒 It’s so frustrating when people always put J Ju down because of one episode (V For Valentine-Detta). Yes, it was a jerk move, but he’s a flipping middle schooler!! And it wasn’t even that bad, anyway. And one bad move doesn’t erase all of the lovely things he’s done for Tina. Like finding her Barrecklace and saying it made him think of her?? Wanting to do a Sky Kiss with her?? Agreeing to go on a date to Pie in the Sky even though he’s not really a fan, and inviting her on a completely genuine date to Fro-Yo Mama?? Come on, these two are adorable. And they deserve a coffee date sometime if DT’s recent art is anything to go by. I also headcanon Jimmy Jr. as Bi sometimes and a heavily closeted Gay boy other times. It kind of depends how I’m feeling, pffffft. @br1ghtestlight has headcanoned him as Aro/Ace, and that’s a fun and valid interpretation too, but I usually feel as if he does have some sort of interest in Tina romantically. I’m not sure. I guess it depends??

Zekina is so cute even though I don’t ship it as much as the other two. Zeke wanting to take Tina on a date to the aquarium and then out for tacos is just so adorable!! But it always annoys me so much when people say that Zeke is obviously the better choice for Tina and is always nicer to her and always has her best interests at heart. Like, Zeke is a sweetheart, but he’s had his moments of not being great to Tina. He’s a teenager just like Jimmy Jr. He’s not obviously the better choice for her just because he suggested that date of tacos and touch tanks. Zekina is lovely, and I respect anyone who ships it and makes content for it. I definitely see the appeal. But people really need to stop coming for Jimmy Jr. Yes, I will keep yelling about this forever 😭 Anyway, if you want some of the best Zekina content, you must go to @theangrypomeranian’s blog right now. You should absolutely read Baby Steps!! I started it but haven’t gotten far because of the length, but everyone should go read it and support them!! @br1ghtestlight has also written a Tina and Zeke fic (though they might just be platonic there) that I still haven’t read yet, but everyone should go read that too.

Zeke/Jimmy Jr., aka Zesto (not sure if that’s their actual ship name, but it should be) is great. It has so much potential, and I ship it a ton. I tend to ship Tina/Josh and Zeke/Jimmy Jr. the most, not because of Jimmy Jr., but because those are the ships I just enjoy the most and I think have the best potential/chemistry. But plenty of other ships have lovely potential and chemistry too!! Anyway, these two can be read equally well as platonic besties, but them being together romantically intrigues me. It would be a ton of fun, I think. They would definitely be a chaotic couple, but a cute one. I mean, Jimmy Jr.’s reaction when he thought Zeke would start going to a different school?? He was so stressed!! And Zeke always wanting to wrestle with J Ju as a sign of affection? And agreeing to do things like help J Ju get a chicken nugget in his mouth? I love.

Genecadero is adorable and @dianadeadwing has made such cute artwork for them. Gene doesn’t have many ships, and I probably enjoy this one the most. It’s definitely a rare pair. Gene deserves a cute romance with a sweet partner!! It’s weird to me when people sometimes say that Gene is too young for that when the show already tried giving him a straight relationship with Courtney. Yes, they broke up, but still. The showrunners are clearly open to giving Gene a relationship. I love the idea Diana brought up of Peter not-so-subtly having a crush on Gene and Gene just not getting the hints. But I like to think he becomes super lovestruck and a super doting partner when he’s older.

I’m cheating and putting Gene/Alexis (I came up with a super cute ship name for them now now I can’t remember what it is ☠️ Does anyone want to help me come up with one??) on here, because I was like “Welp, if others don’t want to give Gene many ships, I’ll make one myself!” I’ve grown very attached to Alexis as an OC, and I’ve suddenly realized he has similarities to Alex 😭 I imagined them both as being voiced by Thomas Middleditch, their names are similar, and are both kind of nerds. But I think that’s where the similarities end. I definitely wanted Alexis to stand out as a character, and I think he’s still different enough from Alex. Anyway, I can’t help but talk about these two, they make my heart sing. I will never get tired of making content about them or just rambling about them like here.

Gene/Sasha is such a rare pair, and the enemies to lovers potential?? Amazing, actually 🤌🏼 If this ship wasn’t so rare, I think it would have Louigan potential, tbh. I love the idea of these two talking more and bonding, because let’s be real, Sasha is 1,000% not straight. Just look at him. Their ship also kind of reminds me of Dipcifica from Gravity Falls, with the rich kid potentially opening up and becoming a better person thanks to someone else’s influence. I just love a good Enemies-to-Lovers romance, and the potential they have for banter is immaculate.

Ahhh, Roudise (aka Louwheeze, which is an incredible ship name), is just the cutest thing on earth, I adore it. I love a good Friends-to-Lovers, and I think I just have them on the brain because of Roudise Week. They’re just adorable and basically canon like Tinimmy. I probably ship them the most?? They just make me happy. I love how Rudy brings out Louise’s softer side, and Louise helps bring Rudy out of his shell. Their friendship is precious, their potential romance even more so. I just have a lot of thoughts about these two, they make me happy. Also, Louise slapping Rudy after kissing him in Bob, Actually sends me every time. Louigan!! This ship is great too. I don’t understand why people who ship it get blocked. There’s so much potential there!! Again, Enemies-to-Lovers is one of my favorites. And their potential for banter?? Amazing. Incredible. No notes. If you want the best Louigan content, you must go to @babsvibes immediately. I started reading Stacy’s Cardamom, which is basically her Magnum Opus. I haven’t finished it yet, but it’s incredible and everyone should go read it. She’s truly the Louigan Queen and got me interested in this ship in the first place. And she was kind enough to invite me onto the Louigan Discord, which has been an absolute blast (even though I hardly share anything Louigan on there ☠️). I want to change that and make more Louigan content. I have a lot of ideas. Y’all better watch out if Louigan Week happens again next September 👀 Louigan Week was also amazing this year!! Everyone show Babs some love for running that incredible event.

Louissica is cute and has potential. I feel as if it’s quite similar to Roudise as a cute, charming Friends-to-Lovers. But Jessica just needs to appear more and be more developed as a character, because she just hasn’t appeared enough for me to have as many thoughts about this ship as all of the others I’ve listed so far. I loved them hunting for that Wharf Monster together, that was such a fun side plot. And them bonding at Louise’s sleepover when she’d driven everyone else away.

BOBLIN. If there’s a ship from this show I love the most, it’s Boblin, no contest. There’s a reason my very first ask to DT was Boblin-related. But I’ve rambled about them enough, so I’ll try to keep this short, pfffffft. They’re an example of a couple that’s as close to perfect that I’ve ever seen. They’re so sweet you’ll get a cavity, they’re domestic, and they’re ancient as hell muppets. What else could you want?? I love how their love stems not just from huge, loud, romantic gestures. It also stems from more quiet, subtle moments. Like Bob massaging Linda’s feet. Or Linda deciding to give Bob a quiet night in for his birthday, because she realized he’d enjoy that the most. Or Bob making her a heart-shaped pancake on Valentine’s Day. You get the idea. If you want the best Boblin content, then @jimmypesto is your girl. She’s written some of the best BB fics I’ve read, and the way she writes Boblin is unmatched. She’s such a talented writer, it’s insane. She’s also written a ton of Boblin smut, if that’s your thing!!

Frondbrose is wonderful. These two also have such good chemistry and banter, it’s insane. Their Enemies-to-Lovers potential is insane. I wish they were canon so bad. They definitely need to interact more. Mr. Ambrose showing his softer side for Mr. Frond is just so adorable to me!! This man would be the epitome of “I hate everyone, but I don’t hate you 😌” They make me all giggly. I can’t get enough. They’re definitely the type to have Hate Sex once and then deny it ever happened 🤣. But everyone would know the truth.

Tedmort is so cute and has so much potential. I love it. I think Teddy and Mort’s friendship is precious already, but a potential relationship between them?? The wholesomeness meter would be off the charts. They can be an ancient muppet couple like Bob and Linda!! Mort would treat Teddy 1,000% better than Denise, but tbh, anyone else would treat Teddy better than Denise. If you want Tedmort, then @keepyourhornson-spyro is the person for you!! They’ve written some lovely Tedmort fics that everyone should read.

Marshmallow/Nat has such potential, and there should be content about them!! It just seems like such a fun ship, and I think being with Marshmallow would help Nat get over her ex-girlfriend. These two also share a similar vibe of just coming and going as they please, and “being truly free” 😌 I still love that Marshmallow is canonically Trans and Nat is canonically a Lesbian. They’re wonderful.

Hemita is a canonical rarepair, which I didn’t think was possible, but here we are. I think they’re so cute and definitely good for each other. Susmita asking out Henry in Morse Code?? That was adorable. We need more moments of these two being cute. I love them.

Barryl is such a rare pair and has won me over so much. There’s just something that makes sense about these two being together that’s difficult to describe. There’s something so sweet about Becky being able to find love after being unlucky with Jimmy Jr. Darryl would be such a sweet boyfriend to her, and she would be such a sweet girlfriend in return. They would be so cute holding hands and listening to the Frozen soundtrack on repeat. Sure, to ship them, you need to ignore Rosa, but she was only in one episode anyway. I gotta shout out @theangrypomeranian again for basically creating this entire ship herself. Amazing.

Arnlee is such a gigantic rare pair it’s insane, and they’ve definitely won me over too. They’re so cute!! They’re just two socially awkward kids who would work really well together. They deserve to have some sort of side plot where they bond. I would love that. @devilh0rnsinc made the cutest art of these two together for @ltwharfy, and that was what officially won me over. That and @ltwharfy’s adorable fic about them which everyone should go read.

I might cut myself off there, because this post is insanely long. But it just goes to show how many lovely ships there are in this fandom. And they’re all valid. Seriously, can we please just respect each other and who we ship??

I love this moment, not only for the Taekook but also because it also highlights one of my favourite, underrated relationships between V and Namjoon.

Looking at this, you wouldn't think there was only a year or so age difference between them. There's also not that much difference between them in terms of height and build yet look how young and small Taehyung looks sat next to Namjoon and this really spotlights what Namjoon meant when he said he took care of Taehyung in particular.

This also, inadvertently, reinforces my belief in Taekook. Because look how close Taehyung and Namjoon are at some points. Taehyung is leaning into him in parts and they are shoulder to shoulder touching in parts yet there's still a certain level of deference from Taehyung to Namjoon. There's a natural inequality between them, from Namjoon viewing Tae as someone smaller, more vulnerable who he feels a need to protect and Taehyung happily leaning into that role.

They are physically close, clearly very comfortable in each other's personal space yet there is still very much a sense of boundary and respect for that space that couples tend to drop as they become more intrusive of each others personal space. Taehyung and Jungkook have no respect for each others personal space and they show no discomfort over that fact either. This supports, to me, a opinion that they are much more used to being in such close proximity to each other that it's become second nature for them to consider the space between them shared (and this is something that is not platonic in nature. I think the only platonic relationship you could apply this to is twins)

Even with Vm!n, as touchy and physically comfortable as they are in each other's spaces, there's still a sense that it's their own individual space; that there's a conscious acknowledgement when the other crosses the boundary and enters their space, even if it's clear that they generally don't have a problem with it or feel uncomfortable with it. Jimin is probably the only other member who so effortlessly intrudes upon Taehyung's personal space the same way Jungkook does and vice versa but even then, there's a line. That's because couples know each other intimately and physically in a way that even best friends or platonic soulmates don't.

And for the j!kookers because I know you like to lurk here, there are far more moments of JK asserting his boundaries with Jimin than he ever does with Taehyung. Yes, Jimin likes to PLAYFULLY toe the line of those boundaries, which I think is what might be confusing you all, but you can also see those moments when Jimin recognises the line and pulls back. You can also see how much more comfortable JK is initiating those interactions than he is receiving them. Their touchiness is cute but it's still lacking the give and take that occurs naturally in romantic relationships. That's because those interactions between them are far more intentional than unintentional.

You also see this at play with Namjoon and Jimin too. They get really close but that closeness is much more conscious than what is happening between Taehyung and Jungkook.

I often say that the greatest tell is always the group themselves because out of all the different and similar dynamics, Jungkook and Taehyung's sticks out like a sore thumb. The group and their close relationships with each other give us a perfect reference and comparison point to see how certain things don't quite line up with others and the interactions between Taehyung and Jungkook just don't line up with the rest of the group. They just don't. We have two strong, close age relationships to run the side by sides in Vm!n and J!kook (I'm only censoring not to bring unwanted eyes to your page, btw, not because I have a problem with either ship itself) we know how Taehyung and Jungkook act around their best and closest friends and yet, it's different between them.

And I know part of the media play is that they're not close or they're distant yet that can't be the reason for their different dynamic because one of the things that sticks out about them most is how much they come across as physically inseparable compared to the rest of the group.

Now, I don't know about some of their detractors but I know that when I feel distant or not close to people, those feelings show physically. I feel driven to get away from them and put physical distance between us---not to get closer to them.

There's been a lot of discourse lately about how Taekook is singled out and almost treated as a taboo compared to other ships and I do think that's true but I think that's because we naturally recognise body language and we pick up on signals instinctively and I think people are picking up on those differences, they're drawing those comparisons and they're seeing what does and doesn't line up and what they are finding--either consciously or subconsciously is making them feel uncomfortable.

Nobody can know for sure. They could all be master manipulators and Oscar caliber actors for all we know but I think there is far much support in what we do know that points to Taekook as a possible couple.

Tae and Jk are so used to being close and touchy that there’s moments where they (mostly Jk, since Tae is the most tactile) don’t even react to the other touching them. It’s normal, it’s familiar, it’s automatic, it’s a level of comfort they don’t have with others.

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Shipping isn't the main way I partake in Discworld tbh, but here goes - Pollymal (duh), Susan/Lobsang (what could've been... even just as a friendship!), Angua/Sally (yeah), SamSybil (pure fluff tbh), maybe Lofty/Tonker or Agnes/Andre (the pianist from Maskerade).

Character I find most attractive: Sally von Humpeding, baby! Snarky butch vampire? I never stood a chance. I just wish we got to spend more time with her.

An unpopular opinion: Not as unpopular on Tumblr but Pterry isn't above criticism! He's clearly one of my fave authors and I think he did a lot of good writing but he obviously had faults and it does him a disservice to pretend he was some kind of saint.

My canon OTP: This one is hard bc there aren't actually a ton of canon ships in Discworld, but my fave is SamSybil. Mostly I'm just a ride or die for Sybil and Sam makes her happy so I will always ship it. Lofty/Tonker is also up there.

Non-canon OTP: PollyMal even though like its bascially canon imo. But y'all already knew this about me

Most badass character: Truly how can you answer this for Discworld. I'm gonna go with Tiffany Aching for beating the Queen of the Fairies at 9 entire years old! (I also read this when I was about her age so I have a soft spot for her.)

Pairing I am not a fan of: I am an autistic aroace Vetinari truther and so I simply cannot get behind V/V. I'm glad y'all are having fun with that though

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): I wanted more Agnes. I think she was going to be the up and coming witch before Tiffany came on the scene and I LOVE Tiff but I still wish Agnes could have had a more concrete arc.

Favourite friendship: This should've been the ship question, I feel like friendships are where this series shines. Angua&Cheery is really sweet, Granny&Nanny is so funny and you can tell they care so much about each other.

Horizon Ask Game

1.) ride or die ship (your otp): Aloy/Petra. I'm sorry but I love both of these characters and the chemistry the two of them have together. In the first game these two are only ones who mutually flirt with each other. Also I love that Aloy's actress Ashly Burch said that she thought Aloy and Petra were the only couple that makes sense.

2.) most annoying ship: Probably Aloy/Avad. I like both characters as friends but I don't see them in a relationship. Also most of the interactions between the two involve Avad getting rebuffed by Aloy.

3.) second favorite ship: Aloy/Talanah. Not my main ship but I can definitely see it happening.

4.) favorite platonic relationship: Erend/Aloy. I know a lot of my friends on here love this as their OTP but I see them more as siblings. They have a lovely brother/sister relationship that both of them need.

5.) underrated ship: I don't know if they would actually be in a relationship or just be really good friends but I love the idea of Aluki and Nakoa spending a lot of time together.

6.) overrated ship: Again with Aloy/Avad. Sorry it's just not there for me. If you enjoy it though then I fully support you.

7.) One thing I would change in canon: I can't pick one thing. Don't kill Varl, have Regalla be the main villain in HFW, and the Zeniths be the main villain in the third game instead of Nemesis.

Hey there! I’m V. Before I start spamming my account with random information like current reads and out-of-context art, I thought I’d share who I happen to be.

I’m a writer! More recently, a self-published one. Which is super exciting and wholly terrifying, but mostly exciting. Sharing my writing with people outside of my own social circle isn’t something I’ve ever been comfortable with, which doesn’t coincide well with the dream of becoming a published author. I was going to have to give up on one of those - either the dream or the fear - and I didn’t want it to be my dream, so here we are.

On to the book - If you’re a fan of science fiction, bisexual male leads, and grey morality, then you might just be interested!

In dreadful summary, The Secret of Life features MC Carlisle-Trystan Antoinette, an enhanced combat veteran turned mercenary who’s out to stop a coming war. Except he wakes up in a psychiatric ward unaware of how he got there, being told that he isn’t any of those things at all. Over the course of the book, Carlisle must discover who he really is - man or myth - and what he’s going to do about it.

I spent a little more than a year on this book - a story for another time - but the character has been with me for many, many more years. He’s floated through various short stories and could-have-been books. Finally putting pen-to-paper was a liberating experience. Carlisle as a character has changed my life, and I hope that for anyone else out there who needs him, he might do it again.

The trouble is finding the audience. It’s easily the most underrated, challenging part of the whole thing. But I’m not giving up! Carlisle and I are here to stay and eventually, I’ll find that audience.

Favourite thing about them?

I love his sincere desire to change the world for the better, as well as his love of others and hope for a better future. Of course, it's not just hope but also a DRIVE to make the world better. He just seems like such a sweet, hardworking dude, and if he was real I would love to know him.

Least favourite thing about them?

The fact that we don't get to see more of him. TBF, he died well before the start of Naruto, so we only see him through memories (and that one weird Infinite Tsukuyomi filler story, but I digress.) I want to see how he'd interact with MORE canon characters, I want to see MORE of the original Akatsuki, and I want to know MORE about the Hidden Rain Village.

I'd love a spin-off miniseries about the Hidden Rain Village.

Favourite line?

I'm not always the best at memorizing lines, but I'll go with this one, where he sets out to go on a mission to scout out an area.

"This land is crying, as usual. It continues to endure much pain. In the past, I hated this land that was crying all the time. But now... I want to save it... I truly feel that way. It's too much like the crybaby I used to be for me to leave it alone."

Obviously he is besties with Konan and Yahiko, they have a truly inseparable bond. I also imagine that he was close with each and every member of the original Akatsuki.

Sadly, there are only a few characters we see him interact with in canon, and many of them are minor.

In a happier timeline where nothing bad happened and the Hidden Leaf was magically not corrupt at all, I could see him being friends with Naruto.

OTP?

Nagato/Yahiko/Konan. They have a deep bond, forged through their collective efforts to endure many hardships. To me, it's as if they are destined to be together and to always develop a deep, intimate care and affection for each other. Even if they were to reincarnate, they'd find each other once more.

He learned how to do a lot of basic repairs, so that if the shack got beaten up, he could fix it. I could also see him loving children.

My man's underrated. I feel like most people tend to either forget about him or just think of him as the guy that became the Deva Path. I mean... I get why, but I wish he was more popular. How can you not love him?

I am very neutral on him, so my apologies for some lame-ass answers. Also, i felt like I spent a lot of time writing my opinions on Yahiko.

Favourite thing about them?

His abilities were neat, as one of the few who could use Wood Style. i also respect how he tried his best to keep Team 7 in check and (later on) help rebuild the Hidden Leaf after Pain destroyed it.

Least favourite thing about them?

The fact that he was sidelined for most of the War Arc, serving little use outside of buffing up Zetsus. IDK, that was kind of disappointing.

Oh, I also feel weird about the fact that he's supposed to watch Orochimaru in Boruto. Like, if we treat the anime backstory as canon, dude should be traumatized by Orochimaru.

Favourite line?

That one where he threatens to use "draconic measures" on Team 7 when they keep arguing and fighting each other, I guess.

brOTP?

Kakashi once they are both adults. Sai after he is free from Dan's control, since they could relate to each other a lot (especially if you treat his anime backstory as canon.)

I could see maybe see him befriending Anko as well.

I think I picked it bc I felt it was symbolic to one of the messages of the story - just like in AOT, the idea of good people and bad people, then also extending to humans vs supernatural, is explored. It’s a key theme to the story and the romance.

I seriously NEED more fanart of my favorite lesbians, and to say that I was glad when other Vuzi shippers like me existed is a huge understatement X3 I started shipping Vuzi a couple months after episode 2 came out(which was a time where it wasn't really that popular), and it grew a WHOLE lot on me. I mostly started shipping them only because I liked how they fit the "enemies to lovers" trope, which is, by the way, my absolute FAVORITE ship dynamic. As the more recent episodes came out, I began from liking Vuzi, to full-on LIVE LAUGH LOVING IT, especially when I episode 6 came out(heavy on that one scene where V was carrying Uzi on her back). ep8: -this is cool to watch with the context of nico back in f1 today -theres just something so funny about when drivers get told something they dont wanna hear over the radio and its just dead silence. theyre real for that tho -nico/cyril jet "therapy" conversation is so iconic TO ME -i now know how alain prost is yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy -i think both of daniel's one year teammate tenures (nico & estie) are both sooooooooo interesting. ship wise fascinating. underrated as hell. -neurodivergent daniel propoganda "nico huuuuuulkenburg" is 100% a vocal stim -ESTIE my beloved. the original Toto Wolff's Special Lil Guy™ -no its so nice to see him in this gap where it was all up in the air knowing how much he's cemented his place in formula 1 now. (like i KNOW that alpine is a shitshow rn but he could easily find another seat. even if not he's made his mark :) -this makes me excited to see nico in the new season. he makes pretty good tv and it'll be cool to see how much of that has changed with age! -another narratively well done episode. nico's only episode and a wonderful one. i also noticed the music a lot, i think they way they used music to build tension was rly cool and not something i've noticed in general. really really good episode

For some inbox positivity; (and like, no pressure to answer if it stresses you out + genuinely curious to know!!) what are some of your favorite horror movies, and why?

oh man i have SO many!

the orphanage: it's a movie that's genuinely scary and moving at the same time. i watched it and i was scared, it got me at least three different times but at the end i was sobbing. it's more of a ghost story than horror movie but again, there's some good scares and it's just. honestly so so good.

the hallow: it's an irish movie and really plays on a lot of folklore which is why it's one of my favorites! i'm a really big fan of when movies take that route, using creatures that are fae-like instead of mutations or aliens.

the descent: okay i know what i just said about mutations but this movie is literally so good. there's so much tension and a lot of the scary parts come from the setting itself, instead of the monsters.

candyman: the original movie is literally like, my favorite movie of all time. i can watch it over and over. it combines folklore and an urban setting along with real world issues that i just think is brilliant. it might be one of my favorite movies of all time, i'm not even joking. it's not just a great horror movie, it's just a good movie.

don't look now: it's an old movie, but it's so good. i can't really say that much about it without giving the whole thing away but it deals with themes of grief and mourning. i would highly suggest it, if only because it's what i consider one of the classics.

lake mungo: it's a found footage style movie that got me. i mean, i absolutely believed it. there's something about the way this movie is done that hooks you and makes you believe. it's so subtle. i don't know how to explain it other than that but definitely heed trigger warnings for this one.

session 9: it's early 2000s so there's some slurs and ableism but it's genuinely scary and has been one of my favorites for years because of that fact. nothing over the top but if you're looking for something that'll make you think twice about turning off the lights, this is it.

as above, so below: another found footage movie but it absolutely fucks. the concept is kinda basic but what the movie does with it is what makes it stand out. it has a lot of really cool ideas and unlike some horror movies (looking at you, ghost ship), it delivers on them.

the blob (1988): this movie is actually so good and it's so underrated. the practical effects rival 'the thing' and i just enjoy pretty much everything about it. this is one of the rare times when the remake is really and truly better than the original.

cigarette burns: this is a short film from the anthology 'masters of horror' and there's something about it that's always stuck with me. i'm not sure why but it's good and worth the watch if you like the mythology around film making itself.

v/h/s 94: another anthology! these movies are always hit and miss but i think this one hits more than it misses. the weakest part of this is the through-line story but 'storm drain' and 'the subject' both have a lot to offer, in commentary and emotion even though the latter is chock full of gore. the other stories are also good!

the cabin in the woods: like, fuck joss whedon but this movie is great. it's fun and funny and really gets the 'satire' part down of satire horror which a lot of movies tend to miss, in my opinion.

there's a lot of others i enjoy like the entire 'scream' series and movies like 'trick 'r treat' or more classic moves like 'the omen' and 'jaws' or other slashers like 'you're next' and newer stuff like the fear street movies or everything jordan peele has done but the ones above are like, my go-to horror movies (that aren't final destination 5 don't ask)

Do you have a favorite (honkai) ship to write fanfic for? Does it change depending on what genre you're writing?

It absolutely changes a lot, depending on many factors such as:

the canon plot

mood

cool fanart I find

cool fics I find

stumbling upon content i really dislike that make me want to make better stuff

friends sharing their ideas and contaminating me with their brainrot

new ideas I get based off random events or unrelated media I interact with

etc.

—but I do have my favorites. I haven’t written it much lately but I’m a huge sucker for Fuki. It’s just such a sweet and soft ship!! You can do a lot with it setting wise, too, since Hua has such a chaotic life. I love it.

Fukimei also adjacent to that and really nice. It takes the solid foundation of Kiamei (which I find boring by itself) and adds the spice of Fuki and Meihua (conflict shifting into strong trust, and strong trust shifting into Horny Care— don’t lie that’s how 90% of writers write Meihua and we are so right.)

I also really like Elymei… they don’t fit together like puzzle pieces or anything like that, they have to learn to be friends and trust one another and that’s something I enjoy very much. (I’m a sucker for friends to lovers in general ok.)

I also think Mei/Vill-V is horrendously underrated they’re adorable. I have another wip I’ll finish one day for them

Elymobi is fun but I feel like a lot of people on twitter write them weird so it cooled my enthusiasm a bit :T still cute and fun though.

Apomei is kinda hard to write but very rewarding with the end result 🥰

Edenhua is also really fun to write, blame @muntiller for that one lmao

Do you have any TV show recs with really good romances?

oh boy, do i! one thing about me? i’m gonna watch a show for the romance subplot. but also this is such a broad topic, i’ll try to narrow it down into two categories: show recs with romance as a main plot, or at least a good majority of the plot, and show recs with romantic subplots that aren’t the main focus! so without further ado…

starting with the former:

bridgerton. i know there’s a lot of mixed feelings about this show, a lot of them are definitely valid, and while the first season romance is kinda meh (and questionable), the second season makes up for it completely imo. i was obsessed with kanthony for a good few months after s2 came out, just because the chemistry between the actors was just so potent and explosive. it’s a true enemies to lovers trope if i’ve ever seen one and it’s just so well done imo

one tree hill. early 00s cheesy teen dramas are kind of my kryptonite and oth is probably the king teen drama of all imo. i wouldn’t say the romance is the main plot of most of the show (and not a lot of the romance is great 😭), but it is a major plot point of a lot of the seasons. i’m recommending this for one reason and one reason only: nathan and haley. it’s a classic popular guy x nerd girl and they get together after she starts tutoring him in secret and i just love what their relationship turned out to be. haley is a badass and i Love her and naley basically raised me, so that’s why it’s here :)

doom at your service. honestly, i could recommend quite a few kdramas, bc a lot of them do have what i consider “true” romantic main plots, but i thought i would narrow it down to one. it’s about this young woman who has an extremely shitty day and wishes on a shooting star for the world to end, not knowing that the spirit of Doom himself is actually listening. idk how else to describe this show honestly, the main couple between the young woman and Doom is just soooo so so so good, it’s so sweet and very romantic, i just really can’t recommend it enough.

as i was starting this list, i realized i didn’t have very many true romance shows so let’s move onto the next category, which are the romantic subplots 😭

marvel’s runaways. i think i would maybe recommend this show before everything else just because it has a lot of similarities to gen v and the romantic subplots are *chef’s kiss*. i LOVED karolina and nico, one of my favorite wlw ships, and i also really loved gert and chase as well. it did, unfortunately, get cancelled pretty early but still well worth the watch imo.

agents of shield. another marvel show, honestly one of their most underrated shows. i’ve never really been super interested in the mcu, but i loved some of the older, adjacent tv shows (aos, runaways, CLOAK & DAGGER.) my favorite romantic subplot in this show is fitzsimmons, one of my FAVORITE friends to lovers ships, i think the way they were developed was so perfect, had just the right amount of pining, angst, and slowburn. i also love mackelena and may and coulson!

the wilds. okay, so i have a complicated relationship with this tv show, but just know that s1 is AMAZING. shelby and toni are another one of my fave wlw ships and don’t even get me started on leah and fatin…they weren’t a crackship, it was real to ME. i don’t wanna talk about s2, but s1 is definitely worth the watch.

anne with an e. gilbert and anne. that’s all i have to say. if you liked the rivals to lovers aspect in limoreau, you’ll love shirbert. also, it’s just a very cozy and comforting watch.

the good place. this show had me fucked up but in a good way. the romance between eleanor and chidi isn’t the main focus, but i think it adds so much to the characters development and to the plot of the show. even the crackships are good, tahani and eleanor had great chemistry, and jason and janet were just hilarious.

alchemy of souls. another kdrama and i want to preface this by saying kdramas, especially costume dramas like this one, can be super hard to get into. they’re very long (episodes can go up to an hour and a half) and often veeeery slow, but it’s TOTALLY worth it in my opinion because this show has one of my favorite romances EVER. that first season ending? oh it’s so good. i binged this in like a week and i couldn’t watch anything for a while after because i couldn’t stop thinking about it.

mozart in the jungle. probably the most obscure show on this list, and FARRRR under appreciated. as a classical musician who is currently studying music in university, this show was right up my alley when it came out. the romance between hailey and rodrigo is slow and a bit subtle at first but they were such a fun and dysfunctional duo that somehow fit together perfectly. they just got each other perfectly, imo. the ending left me heartbroken a bit, but i’ve since come to realize it was the best possible ending they could’ve given us and i’ve made peace.
