WIP Wednesday

It’s not Wednesday anymore in Wales, but hohum, here are 2 tiny snippets from ITWWEYCHR and UH.

If The World Was Ending, You’d Come Home, Right? (Ch2)

Phoenix didn’t speak until they were back in the car, turning to Maya with a concerned frown. “How’re you feeling?” he asked, laying his hand over hers.

Sucking in a deep breath, Maya shook her head. “Honestly? Not great,” she admitted. She tipped her head back, staring up at the roof of the car. “But, this is my job, and I know I can do it.” She faced Phoenix with a smile. “You were almost cool in there, y’know,” she chucked, bumping her shoulder against his. “Almost like a real hunter.”

“Excuse me?” Phoenix snorted a laugh, shoving her away playfully. “I’ve had my license longer than you, brat.”

Collapsing into giggles, Maya pushed his hands away. “C’mon,” she said, “let’s go back to your place and get some research done.”

Unsteady Heart (Ch4)

Apollo turned, unsurprised to find Klavier staring down at him with that same cocky smirk he had the night he’d saved him from that vampire. “Gavin,” he greeted him with a tilt of his head. “I was wondering when I’d see you again.”

“Oh?” Klavier’s smirk grew at that admission, and Apollo just knew what was coming. “Did you miss me that much after just one meeting?” he teased, bending down so they were eye to eye.

Apollo bristled, cheeks burning at the insinuation. “Don’t be so— No, I didn’t, I just thought we might run into each other on a hunt!” he spluttered, voice just a tad higher than he’d like.

Klavier laughed, deep and warm, straightening his back. “Well, I’m sorry it had to be in town.” He pushed his fingers into his fringe, shifting his weight onto his hip. “Since we’re here, why don’t we go get a coffee?”

In my notes for the chapter of ITWWEYCHR that I’m working on rn, I’ve written “Pearl content!!” and highlighted it in pink. I don’t remember doing so, but I was clearly excited to write about Pearl.

Now that I’m done writing IDKY, I’ve officially started writing the hunter AU, which is gonna be fun! Outside the two fics I have detailed outlines for, I also have vague ideas for five other fics in this AU, which are

Franziska standalone

Ema standalone/Her time as Klavier’s researcher

Dhurke finding out Apollo became a hunter

The Kristoph/Zak Gramarye hunt

Daryan vamp fic?? Maybe??

and with the UK now officially grounded until further notice, I have a good chance of getting at least three of them done!

I can’t remember if I ever mentioned the Djinn fic here, but I’m really excited for it! Only problem being, I’m so excited for it, I can’t concentrate on ITWWE ;;;;;
