He is chubby and technically considered Fat in his culture ( which isn't nice but his species' beauty standards are high)

Hornet was part of a Royal Guard ( a guard that protects their Queen / for him a Mother) before he left to try and find his Brother in bond somewhere in space.

Before that ( when Hornet was very young) Hornet was a Gladiator ( that's their way to gain skills in fighting kinda of a norm for offsprings of the Queen that want to be in the Royal Guard) trying to gain the skills For the Royal Guard Tournament. During the tournament, he was paired against his then "Lover" where he had to end his live cuz ' Only The best ones are supposed to get out of this alive'.

He was heartbroken thus he has hatred toward the Drags ( used as People) that made him do this. He never forgave himself.

Now he wears the skull of his lover.

And has attachment issues never leading his loved ones anywhere where he is forced to kill them for the enjoyment of others.

After He Finds his Brother in bond he Joins the Ship Icarus and is in search with them to find their new planet they can call home. ( since he left the RG it is considered a High crime that can left him dead)

He named his sword Beetle cuz it was made out of his ex-lover's Exoskeleton (whose name was Beetle)

It was supposed to just be the bedroom but I really wanted to add the axolotl room lol. I was also having too much fun with the new cherry blossom wood and the flowers.

It's definitely not the best design. I've never been a big builder person.

i always love homies crew smps because like. you have a bunch of normal people whose main jobs are being twitch streamers, maybe something on the side, but like nothing major. and then you turn around and are slapped in the face with professional baseball player trevor may.

If I was a better writer, I would make a fix that retells Sabine’s journey from her exile to return to her clan through the perspective (and maybe a bit of au) of the Odyssey. Hear me out:

We begin from the moment Sabine is cast out from her clan. While this is the largest point of divergence from the Odyssey (Odysseus begins his journey home a conquering hero at the end of the Trojan War), the objective between the two is the same. The point, always, is to go home. Both will be changed by the journey

So Sabine is 13 years old, and let’s say it takes her the same 10 years it took Odysseus to make his return. Obviously this will encompass all kinds of growth, as Sabine changes from a child alone to an adult capable of returning.

We can maybe mix standard Star Wars plot points in with those from the Odyssey (Scylla and Charybdis, the Cyclopes, Circe, etc. )

For example, I personally think you can easily interpret Sabine’s early career as a bounty hunter with Ketsu as Odysseus’ time on Circe’s island. Both occur early on in the respective protagonists’ stories. Circe offered Odysseus a place of safety and shelter, just as the Black Sun was a place where Sabine could gain money, security, purpose. Ultimately though these promises were false- to stay would give up parts of who they were- Sabine her honor and Odysseus his home. While Sabine was shot and left for dead , this could be an additional angle

I think this just comes down to that I see a lot of similarities between Odysseus and Sabine Wren. Both are lost. Both are intelligent, creative, and crafty (as seen in the Ahsoka show when she unlocks the map, or uses her gauntlet against Shin). Both are builders.

And ultimately both undergo a journey of self-determination in which they regain their destined role in society. Odysseus as the head of his family on Icarus, Sabine on Mandalore.

Sabine returns in the end to her family, but made stronger by her journey and what she’s learned along the way. She left a child in disgrace, cast away. And now she restores herself by helping liberate her family from the empire

Her mother maybe we can see as Penelope and the empire as the suitors. Her efforts to protect the clan from the empire can only stall the inevitable.

I just think it would be really fun to retell this with an epic-Homeric-poem influence

Is Icaria meant to refrence icarus? Cause its believed in minecraft canon that the reason for the skulk infection is from the "ancient builders" (using game theory terms here cause thats where i learn most of minecraft lore ngl...) being overconfident and basically causing their own downfall?

Nah, though that is a very good guess and would have been a beautiful meaning (however, as will be explained in the next chapter, the Warden in Midnight predates the Ancients and was not created or caused by them, and is generally brought to the "new world" by some cataclysm; the Warden brings the end of the world in a cycle :) )

Icaria is a reference to the Yogscast's Shadow of Israphel (SoI). Icaria was the city that the heroes (Simon, Lewis and Knight Peculier) were journeying to when the series ended/discontinued, and the Ancient Evils (and the offhand mention about "the sands") is also a reference to SoI; the villain came from the Nether, which in-world was called a Hellgate and building one was absolutely forbidden, socially speaking, because of what might come out of it. So the Ancients avoided other dimensions because of the stigma/danger of the Nether and the evil it brought about- and I'll say since it's never revealed in-story (as the information is long lost), the evil that the Ancients were recovering from in their early days (Israphel/"The Sands") is what led to the fall of the First Ones :) Basically, the Ancient world that fell and left behind the ruins in Midnight are meant to be from the Yogscast's era. See me connecting even MORE SMPs, and ones many fans of today don't even know about :') (If you don't know who the Yogscast are, they weren't the first people to do Minecraft RP but they were the ones who popularized it. They were HUGE in 2011/2012 but have since switched away from Minecraft as their main content. SoI lives on in my heart tho, and I have a soft spot for them <3)
