☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
Trafalgar D Water Law was the captain of the Heart Pirates and a former member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. Law was a highly intelligent and cunning pirate, often outsmarting his opponents and using his wit to his advantage in a fight. He was also known to be a master strategist, capable of coming up with elaborate plans to defeat his enemies.
So why were you, one of his crew members, trying to hide the fact that you were dead sick?
The crew had taken a toll after being ambushed by a carefully calculated group of pirates. Even though they won the battle, people were still heavily injured and needed to be taken care of. The crew had been pushed to their limits and the captain was already doing all he could to nurse most of them back to health.
Your injury didn't seem severe compared to some of the other members of the crew who had sustained more serious wounds, including broken bones and deep lacerations.
In comparison, your injury was just a graze, and so you felt it would be better to hide it from the captain and not add to his already heavy workload.
Law looked around the deck, his gaze taking in each crew member. "Is everyone ready?" he asked, his voice steady but concerned.
The crew nodded in agreement, some with a slight grimace of pain as they shifted to get comfortable. "Yes, Captain," they replied in unison. You also said "Yes, Captain," trying to make your voice sound as steady as possible while your arm throbbed painfully in your grip.
Law looked around the deck one more time before speaking. "We're going to make camp on the island that we've anchored by," he said. "Get some rest, and I'll make a plan in the morning."
With a collective sigh of relief, the crew members cheered in appreciation of not having to move for more. Everyone was exhausted and the thought of having to move further was daunting. They welcomed the chance to rest and regain their strength, even if it was just for a few hours.
After the plan was laid out, the crew split up into two groups. One group would stay behind and set up camp while the other group was able to explore the island. The group that stayed behind worked quickly and efficiently to get the camp set up. Meanwhile, the other group was able to explore the island and enjoy its natural beauty.
You and Ikkaku were part of the group exploring the island, and were both excited to be able to take in the sights and sounds of the environment. You were also happy to have an opportunity to take your mind off of your injury and get away from the hustle and bustle of the submarine. You and Ikkaku walked around the island, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the environment.
Ikkaku looked over at you with a concerned expression. "Are you sure you weren't injured?" she asked as she walked. You shook your head and smiled.
"No, I'm fine," you said, trying to sound more confident than you felt.
"That's good," she said. "We don't need any more injuries on top of what we already have."
You nodded in agreement, feeling a rush of relief that your injury had gone unnoticed.
Both of you came across a patch of bright flowers, and you were immediately fascinated. You were able to identify half of them with just a glance, but for the ones you didn't know, you quickly plucked them and placed them in your bag.
Ikkaku smiled as you carefully collected the flowers, noting your interest in the environment around you. You smiled back, feeling a sense of satisfaction that you were able to recognize and appreciate the beauty of the island.
Seeing how enthralled you were with the flowers, Ikkaku decided to mess with you.
Ikkaku glanced over at you with a mischievous grin. "So, what do you think of the Captain?" she asked. You blushed, feeling your cheeks heat up. "He's... he's a good leader," you said, trying to avoid the conversation and focus on the flowers.
Ikkaku chuckled. "Come on, admit it," she said. "You have a crush on him!" You shook your head, feeling a little embarrassed.
"No, I don't," you said, but you couldn't stop the smile that spread across your face.
Ikkaku laughed. "It's okay, I won't tell anyone," she said. You laughed and rolled your eyes, feeling relieved that the conversation had shifted to something a bit less serious.
Ikkaku was right though. Even though you were the most recent to join the Heart Pirates, you were quick to befriend Law and quickly developed a strong bond with him.
You didn't care if it was because of your devil fruit powers or not; you were quickly enamored with the Heart Pirates and grateful for the opportunity to join them.
You had eaten the Yume Yume no Mi (Dream-Dream Fruit), which gave you the ability to shoot a cosmic ray to make people fall asleep for an desired amount of time or fall sleep so deep that they can die. You had seen first-hand how powerful your ability was, and you had to be extra careful to not let your powers get out of control.
Law was intrigued by your devil fruit power and was eager to learn more about it. After some research, he discovered that you could also use your powers to control people's emotions, but with a catch - a flower was needed in order to do so.
For example, with a lavender flower, you can make someone feel calm and relaxed. The specific emotion that the flower induces depends on the type of flower used. A rose can make someone feel more passionate or in love, while a chrysanthemum can make someone feel more joy or happiness.
With the discovery of your devil fruit's power, you and Law became even closer. Whenever Law would get overwhelmed by the amount of paperwork, you would use your power to calm him down with a lavender flower. Law was amazed at how effective your power was, and how it could be used to help him manage his stress.
Law knew exactly when to give you a subtle glance when he was arguing with someone, like telepathy, "Use it on me now before I cut this person in two," would transfer to your mind and you would quickly wave a flower at him to help him relax before he lost his temper.
He was grateful for your devil fruit powers and the calming effect it had on him in those intense moments, allowing him to get back to a more level-headed state.
But these recent days, you could feel your heart beat faster when he would look at you or when he would lean towards you to whisper what flower to use against the enemy. You were surprised by these feelings and although you tried to keep them under control, the more you were around Law, the more your heart seemed to flutter with anticipation.
You knew that you were developing feelings for him, but you were unsure of how to act on them. You were scared of the consequences of your actions and you were hesitant to express your emotions.
You knew that your devil fruit power could help Law, but you also knew that it could not help you express how you truly felt.
You carefully examined the petals of the flower, trying to distract yourself from the thoughts that had been running through your head. You knew that your feelings for Law were strong, but you were not sure if he felt the same way. You were scared to make a move and risk ruining the friendship that you had built over the years.
With a sigh, you looked up from the flower and replied, "Me and Law are just... friends."
Ikkaku replied, "Are you sure about that? Because the way he looks at you says something else. It's like he can't keep his eyes off you. I think he may have feelings for you too."
You were shocked by Ikkaku's words and couldn't believe what she was suggesting. You had never considered the possibility that Law could have feelings for you, and you were left speechless.
You felt your cheeks heat up and you quickly looked away, not wanting to face the truth. You felt a mixture of emotions, ranging from joy to fear, and you were unsure of how to proceed.
"Let's separate to get more materials," you said, trying to come up with an excuse to be alone and process your thoughts.
You knew that the material was important, but you also wanted to take this opportunity to think about what Ikkaku said and to figure out how you could proceed in this situation.
She nodded and went off to the left, while you headed to the right. You took a deep breath, trying to calm your nerves and clear your head.
As you walked, you thought about what Ikkaku had said and your feelings for Law. You were unsure of what to do, but you knew that whatever you did, it would have to be carefully considered.
Suddenly, you felt a sharp pain from your injured arm that brought you back to reality. The pain was sharp and pulsing, radiating from your arm and throughout your body. You winced and gritted your teeth, trying to bear the pain.
You felt a tightness in your chest and your breathing became shallow as you tried to cope with the pain. You felt a wave of nausea wash over you and your vision started to blur, but you forced yourself to take a few deep breaths and focus on the situation.
What was going on? Why had the pain suddenly become so intense? Was this pain connected to the emotions you were feeling?
As the pain intensified, you felt yourself beginning to lose consciousness. You felt your body swaying and you put out a hand to steady yourself, but it was too late. You felt yourself slipping away as the world around you started to blur and fade.
You tried to fight it, but you felt yourself slowly sinking into a deep fog. You heard a distant voice, but it was too faint to make out what it was saying. With one last effort, you tried to open your eyes, but you could not.
Darkness descended and you felt yourself slipping away into unconsciousness.
"Oh my! You will be my wife!" A familiar voice stated happily, "Oh, this must be fate! I knew the moment I saw you that you were the one for me. I can't believe I've finally found you again, my one and only true love!"

What You're Getting for Valentine's Day!
Tumblr media
Info: Fem/reader x One Piece Men, Monster Trio, Eustass Kid, Trafalgar Law, fluff, minor suggestive ideas, soft Headcanons
Tumblr media
He's no Casanova, but the man does pay attention.
While Sanji, Nami, and Usopp are trying to hook him up with the usual stuff, Zoro will get you something you want.
That journal and pen set you liked, that hairpiece you thought was cute, or even the shoes you thought would look good with a dress you haven't worn yet.
He doesn't do it to be different or because he thinks the day is dumb, which he does; he does it because he knows you will like it (and prove to the cook that he does know something about romance).
But yes, he will give you all the gifts the rest of the crew had ready for him anyway.
His gift surprises you because you don't think he pays attention, but the man does.
Tumblr media
Now, he is new to this and does and does not get it. He loves you every day, so why is today different. After getting schooled by Franky, Usopp, and Sanji, Luffy is on board. (Nami offers help, but the boys tell her they got this.)
What follows is some chaos. He will beg Sanji to show him how to make chocolates, ask Usopp to help make a teddy bear, and beg Nami to find an island so he can find flowers. (Robin did offer hers, but Luffy wants to do this on his own.)
What you get is truly something from the heart. A box of lumpy-looking chocolate hearts, a bear that, for some reason, shoots lasers (Franky's idea), and a bouquet of poisonous jungle flowers.
It's hard not to smile at Luffy when he looks proudly at you with his gifts.
You know Luffy cares, and it feels good to see that he had fun treating you.
Tumblr media
The whole nine yards and then some. You're drowning in chocolate and smuttered with flowers. It's so bad that the other men beg Nami to dock the ship so they can escape. (They'll be back later for the food.)
That's fine by him because he has other things planned for you, starting with a long white box with a dark red bow.
Yes, it's lingerie, but it's good quality and something you would wear.
He'll romance you into it by making you a bath, lighting candles, and setting out all your favorite lotions and oils.
The man may be a pervert, but he knows how to turn up the charm and treat you special.
You're basically going to have the Valentine's Day the stores wish they could promote.
Tumblr media
Valen-what-now?! HaHAHAHhahaaa!
Okay, but seriously, Kid is going to that guy who remembers at the very last minute and could give a shit.
Killer is your savior in this department because he knows how to speak "Kid" and what could motivate him. You and sex.
Expect lingerie, flavored oils, heels, jewelry, strawberry chocolates, whipped cream (you know why), silk rope in your favorite color, and candles (to be used differently if he can talk you into it.)
Killer will help set the mood with roses and candles(different ones) and leave the rest to Kid.
Kid may be a rough diamond, but he knows how to turn on the charm, and you won't see it coming till it's too late.
Tumblr media
I would laugh here as well, but Law is an intelligent man. Happy girlfriend equals...PEACE!
He'll do the three essential gifts and think that he is set. It should keep you happy, right?
Well, it will, but after getting a second option from Ikkaku, Law is shocked to learn that he is boring with his lazy Valentine’s wooing. His gifts are fine, but he has no other plans, just the usual daily work!
In a panic, Law will rethink his plan just in time to order the ship to find land. He'll ask you to go with him to a nice restaurant and maybe a walk to see the sunset.
It's cheesy and still predictable, but you love it because Law does not leave his comfort zone for anyone except you (and Bepo). While the flowers are lovely, his time and attention are a better gift.

The vibrant streets of the Flower Capital burst forth with a kaleidoscope of colors, an intricate tapestry woven from the threads of life, sound, and movement. As you meandered through the bustling streets, a symphony of scents enveloped you – the intoxicating perfume of exotic spices mingling with the vivacious banter of vendors. It was a sensory masterpiece, a feast for the senses that you savored as you immersed yourself in the rich fabric of the country's capital.
It had been a mere few days since your arrival in Wano Kuni alongside the rest of the Heart Pirates, united in your mission to challenge the reign of Kaido in alliance with the Straw Hats. The details of Law's intricate plan had initially left you uncertain, the memory of his harrowing experiences in Dressrosa still sending shivers down your spine to this day. The lingering scar on his left arm, was a testament to the battles he had fought and the risks he had taken, knowing that it could have been his last.
However, amidst the colorful chaos that was Wano Kuni, your crew thrived more than ever. Especially Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin embraced the country´s vibrant culture with an infectious enthusiasm, but even the more reserved members, like Jean Bart and Ikkaku, had found themselves swept up in the festivities. And as much as you longed to fully immerse yourself in the island's otherworldly charm, the shadow of the Straw Hat Pirates and their unpredictable influence constantly loomed over your enjoyment.
This evening, however, you had finally temporarily relinquished your role as a spy. A customer's passing mention of the upcoming fireworks had piqued your curiosity, and with a sense of adventure, you decided to seize the opportunity, since they weren´t a thing in your hometown. Dressed in a borrowed summer kimono, its lightweight cotton fabric adorned with a subtle plum pattern, you ventured into the festivities, silently hoping to catch a glimpse of your crew amidst the crowd.
As the sun dipped lower, casting a warm golden glow over Wano's bustling streets, the atmosphere crackled with anticipation. The town had transformed into a vibrant tableau of color and light, adorned with fluttering banners and lanterns that painted a vivid contrast against the deepening dusk. The tantalizing aroma of street food wafted through the air, a call that beckoned your senses.
Stalls had sprung up, each offering an enticing array of culinary delights – skewers of yakitori sizzling on open grills, mounds of freshly rolled sushi that seemed almost too beautiful to eat, and steaming bowls of fragrant ramen that whispered promises of comfort. Amidst the culinary treasures, you thought you caught a glimpse of Sanji, the Straw Hat Cook, bustling at one of the stalls. Yet your attention was quickly diverted by a striking and familiar figure – no other than your captain, Trafalgar Law.
Law stood by the sidewalk, his gaze fixed on a group of children engrossed in a lively goldfish-catching game. His appearance was a curious sight, dressed in a black kimono with a red haori, the vivid reds and gold accents creating a captivating contrast against the traditional backdrop. A soft chuckle escaped your lips as you noted that despite his best efforts to blend in, Law couldn't part with his signature hat.
With a stealthy approach, you reached his side, your touch light as you tapped his shoulder to announce your presence. His attention shifted, and the sight of you in the borrowed kimono seemed to elicit a reaction – a slow, lazy half-smile that tugged at the corner of his lips. His voice was laced with amusement as he spoke, his words playfully teasing. "And who do I have the pleasure with?"
Caught off guard by his question, a flush crept up your cheeks, quickly stifled by a cough as you composed yourself. "Don´t tease me and speak for yourselves, captain." you replied.
Law's grin stiffled as he gripped the black fabric of his kimono between two fingers, apparently a bit self-concious. “Shachi, Penguin, and Bepo set me up on this. Had a whole ass speech about “embracing Wano culture” and what not.”
Your gaze traveled over Law's kimono-clad form, the sight of him in the traditional attire an unexpected yet fitting sight, trying your best to not oggle his tattoo lingered chest too much. "Well good for them, they´ve finally developed something a kin to taste. Looks good on you, especially with Kikoku" you said, pointing to the long sword leaning on his right shoulder. You couldn´t help but muster a chuckle as your captain blushed faintly at his ears, his slight discomfort at your back-handed compliment endearing in its own way.
You patted his shoulder playfully before steering the conversation to a more neutral topic. "So, what brings you here?" Law's gaze returned to the lively crowd, his tone thoughtful as he responded. "I'm actually keeping an eye out for another Supernova.” Surprised by his mention of the Supernovas, your curiosity piqued. "Do you need assistance?" you offered, ready to lend a hand if needed.
Law waved off your offer with a casual gesture. "Nah, with how crowded it´s getting, I think my plan went down the drain anyway. And the last thing I want is to cause a commotion." Your thoughts briefly drifted to the Straw Hat Pirates, the very embodiment of chaos and commotion, before returning to Law's presence. "Guess so." you quipped.
Law's attention shifted to you, an interested glint in his eyes. "And what about you?"
"Well, as you can see the tea house owner practically insisted, I take the evening off and put me into this thing here. The lady’s been obsessed with dolling me up since she saw me in my boiler suit.”
You sighed raising the hem of your kimono.
Law's lips curved into a small smile. "I can see why.” Surprised at his flirtatious retort you looked up to your captain, who looked briefly at you, before returning his gaze back to the crowds.
“Aw, that´s sweet of you, captain." You retorted giving him a faint slap on his shoulder. He seemed to stiffen up at that, making you retreat your hand and quickly changing topics so things wouldn´t get too awkward. “Anyhow, I was just on the way to look around the festival stalls. Wanna join?” You offered politely, not thinking he would partake your offer. To your surprise he answered very quickly, letting himself be guided by you deeper into the festivities. “Lead the way.”
Tumblr media
Amidst the lively streets of the Flower Capital, you and Law continued to explore, the festival together. As you walked side by side, the captain's reserved demeanor seemed to melt away, replaced by a sense of ease. The elusive surgeon of death had momentarily laid down his mantle, revealing a side of him that only a few including his crew were privileged to see.
Time seemed to blur as you lost yourselves in the vibrant spectacle around you. The lanterns cast a warm, inviting glow, while the distant strains of traditional music filled the air. Your conversation flowed effortlessly, touching on everything from local customs to the challenges you had each faced on your respective missions.
As the night deepened, the festival's vibrant energy seemed to surge, an electric current that pulsed through the heart of the Flower Capital. The lanterns lining the streets emitted a soft, golden glow, weaving an enchanting spell that enveloped the surroundings. After enjoying a mesmerizing traditional dance performance and marveling at the dexterity of street performers, you indulged in the sweet delight of a candied apple. It was in the midst of this delightful moment that your attention was drawn to a spectacle that transcended the ordinary – people launching paper lanterns into the night sky.
"Look over there, Captain!" you exclaimed, directing Law's gaze toward the ascending lanterns, a scene that painted the backdrop of the moonlit landscape. Just as he was about to utter a question, a playful smile curved his lips. Your curiosity was piqued, your eyebrow quirking in response. "What?"
With a gentle gesture, Law used your own finger to point at his cheek, the mischievous smile refusing to fade. "Got a bit of caramel there."
You felt a blush warm your cheeks as you instinctively lifted the hem of your kimono to rectify the sugary mishap. However, a practical hesitation stilled your hand in mid-air. The tea house would surely reprimand any stain on their attire. Almost as if sensing your dilemma, Law stepped in with characteristic grace for a doctor like him. "Here, let me do it."
You nodded, a tad taken aback by his swift assistance. His touch was surprisingly gentle as he wiped away the caramel with his finger, leaving a tingling warmth in its wake. Though you flinched slightly from the unexpected contact, Law seemed unperturbed, his focus solely on the task at hand, like the pro he was. The proximity allowed you to catch a faint, intriguing blend of his distinctive scent, a musky and herbal aroma that stirred a comforting familiarity. You nearly cringed when you felt how giddy it made you feel. A feeling that definitely transcended the boundaries of your roles as captain and crewmate.
"There, all done," Law murmured, his voice a soothing undertone that seemed to reverberate through the air. As he was just on the way to restore the distance between you, your gazes met for a fleeting second, a silent exchange where his unwavering yellow gaze met your own. With your best effort your tried to control your urges to look at his strong features, including his full lustrous lips. Just when you failed miserably, your eyes hungrily flashing down, a sudden burst of sound forced your attention skyward, ignorant of his gaze definitely not missing your reaction.
The night erupted into a dazzling spectacle of color and light, fireworks painting the heavens with vivid strokes of red, blue, and gold. The crowd around you gasped and cheered in unison, their collective awe echoing through the air as they started looking for a better spot to view the firework.
Caught in the radiant shower of lights, you felt a sense of enchantment take hold, not able to move a tad, for this was your first time experiencing a firework. The colors reflected in your eyes, mirroring the effervescent spirit of the festival itself. Beside you, Law's gaze wasn´t drawn skyward however, his usually impassive demeanor softened by the sheer wonder of the display on your face, alight by the kindling flames in the sky.
"Say, y/n-ya, is this your first firework?" Law's voice broke through your reverie, drawing your attention momentarily as you nodded, still entranced by the display at hand. He smiled faintly, before grabbing you carefully around your shoulder, to port you away from the masses,
“Room!”
You let out a surprised noise, as Law´s Room switched you out with a few stones of the close-by riverbed you were standing in front of now. You usually wouldn´t have missed the lingering hesitation of your captain, a fraction of a moment too long, before he withdrew his arm, but you were way to mesmerized with the many fireworks ablaze in the night sky.
"You know, Captain, you´re very kind." you remarked, your words carried on the wind, still entranced by the luminous spectacle. A quick, soft reply escaped his lips, laced with an unspoken gratitude. "Don't mention it." His words were followed by a muttered addendum, revealing a hint of vulnerability. "Besides, I wouldn't do this for just anyone." Your laughter bubbled forth, a grin painting your features as Law's cheeks tinged a deeper shade of pink in response. Leaning slightly against him, your shoulders brushed.
"And here I thought our captain was always this chivalrous" you joked, catching Law off-guard, his embarrassment evident. Chuckling softly, you reassured him, your attention drifting back to the night sky. "I'm only teasing. I really don´t mind. Truth be told, I'm thoroughly enjoying this. My only regret is that it's passing by so quickly." With a contemplative look, you glanced downward, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear, the gentle night breeze weaving through your locks.
Your heart soared triumphantly as Law's resonant baritone voice echoed your unspoken desire, his words falling like a melody upon your ears. “It doesn´t have to, y/n-ya.” As you looked back up to him, you met his serene gaze, swallowing the lump in your throat. “Are you sure, captain?”
He sighed defeated, before crossing the last of distance between you two, cupping your cheecks with his hands. “Here, let me show you.” Carefully he planted his lips on yours. You were quick to answer his call, hands rested atop his haori, you met his lips in a slow rhythm, while the display of fireworks reached its climax.
Up close to your captain, you could once again smell his cologne, blending beautifully with the warmth rising between the two of you. You felt Law's hands slowly starting to explore your body, tracing its contours with his fingertips, sending shivers down your spine.
Breaking your kiss only to catch a breath, Law whispered softly to you, "Perhaps we should continue this elsewhere." You agreed with a mischievous raise of your eyebrows. "Polar Tang?" Law gave you a horrified expression, already envisioning the worst-case scenario of Shachi, Penguin, and Bepo stumbling upon the two of you mid-coitus. "Are you out of your mind?!" You playfully stuck your tongue out at him. "Just kidding. Let's go to my place at the tea shop."
"Are you sure? We wouldn't want to compromise your cover," Law raised an eyebrow. "There's always outside..." "The tea shop it is."
Tumblr media
You gestured for Law to approach the bedding, your back turned to his tall frame. "Would you mind assisting me with this?" you asked, referring to the complex Wano clothing that was proving difficult to remove without some help. "As much as Wano's attire is beautiful, it’s a pain in the ass to get out of without an extra hand. Really nothing compared to our boiler suits.”
Law couldn't help but smirk at your remark. He swiftly discarded his haori, hat and sword, his skilled hands moving to unfasten the sash's ribbon. "Think you got me convinced" he quipped, a playful tone in his voice. "Feels like unwrapping a present." You gave Law a look over shoulder, watching as he expertly unraveled the intricate bindings of the kimono. With his task completed, the fabric now hung loosely around your shoulders, its long hem cascading. Law met your gaze and shared a tender kiss, his scrawny goatee tingling your chin, before gently sliding the fabric down your shoulder.
Softly peppering kisses along your shoulder blade, his slender tattooed fingers pulling the cotton fabric away from your body with a tantalizing slowness. You turned to face him, clad only in your underwear, playfully nibbling on your lower lip as a silent request for entrance to his mouth. He willingly granted you permission, his submission deepening as your hands slid into the opening of his kimono, trailing along his chest. The loose white sash around his waist unraveled in a single swift motion, unveiling your captain's tanned skin adorned with intricate tattoos. As you traced your fingertips over the dark lines, a shiver of anticipation coursed through Law's body, a reaction he couldn't suppress.
Taking advantage of the moment, you slipped your tongue into his mouth, engaging in a languid and passionate dance. Your lead was embraced wholeheartedly by Law as your tongues intertwined. It was surprising to witness how effortlessly Law, the famed Surgeon of Death and former Samurai of the Sea, surrendered to the sensations, heightening your attraction to him even more.
Straddling your raven-haired captain, his partially undone kimono cascading around his slender, muscular physique, exposing his nearly bare form, you momentarily parted from the kiss. Your lips and tongue embarked on a tantalizing exploration of his body, leaving a trail of fervent kisses in their wake. Starting from his neck, your journey traced a path down toward his nipples, lavishing each one with devoted attention, coaxing them into hardness. The sensations prompted a groan to escape Law's lips, his fingers clutching the bedding beneath him as he fought to muffle the rising tide of moans. Simultaneously, one hand sought refuge above his mouth to stifle his own sounds of pleasure. Your keen perception didn't overlook the telltale twitch of his cock between his legs, a testament to the effect your actions were having on him. "God damn, y/n-ya, slow down, will ya? I'm not gonna dissolve into thin air anytime soon." You looked up at him with a teasing grin, saluting him with a wink. "Ay, ay, captain."
And call me Law, will ya? It makes me feel weird hearing it in a setting like this," you chuckled, giving him a peck on the lips. "Alright, alright. Though, I can always call you 'Doctor' if you're more into that?" You grinned when he averted your gaze, clearly embarrassed by your dirty talk. “M-Maybe another time.” He stifled, his hands searching again for more contact with your skin. “Cute. But if this shouldn´t be a one-time thing, you got some convincing to do.” you winked. On your call Law claimed your lips in a heated kiss, his hands ghosting over every curve of your body, pressing his hips against your own to create more friction between you. A moan escaped your lips, when he slid his hand around your back, releasing you of your bra and starting to knead the subtle flesh of one of your breasts with his calloused hand.
As you pressed yourselves harder onto Laws clothed cock, he let out another groan, his lips meeting you once more, before he finally wetted his long fingers with his mouth and dipped them inside your panties. A low stifle erupted his tattooed chest when he found the wet spot that formed there. “Guess I´m not the only one excited.” he proclaimed, wetting his lips in the process. As he entered you with two fingers, you cried out in pleasure. You had guessed it with Ikkaku one way to drunk evening, but now you finally had hand on prove that his fine motor skills definitely translated outside of the op.
“Fuck, Law.” You cried out as he slowly scissored you open, his thumb dragging menacingly above your swollen clit. The feeling of being filled by his long fingers was ravishing, and the fact that they were tattooed, only turned you on more. Additionally, Law hungrily sucking at your tits like a starved man, didn´t help the whole ordeal.
You bitt your thumb, to suppress a loud cry from the pleasure that build with rapid speed in your core. When you had teased your captain, that he needed to do some convincing first, you wouldn´t have thought he took it so seriously, but maybe you had calculated his enchantment with you on a wrong scale from the beginning. With each calculated stroke from Law, the sensation inside you grew stronger until finally, you screamed out in ecstasy, your first release of the night crashing down on you. Dazed out from your orgasm, you were too late to realize Law cleaning your release from his fingers sloppily with his tongue.
“What are you doing?!” you cried out exhausted, trying to swipe his hand from his face. “Relax. Just savoring my treat. You´re as sweet as I´d imagined.” He grinned at you, flashing you his pearly white teeth. “You´re a nasty one Trafalgar. How long have you been imagining this anyway?” you mewled, discarding of your soaked panties before tending to his own confinement.
He gave you a shrug before pulling you in for another kiss, his tongue searching longingly for your own. You grimaced, tasting yourselves on his lips. “Honestly, y´a don´t wanna know.”
And honestly, it should´ve give you the ick to hear that from your supervisor and captain but at the same time, but at the moment you couldn´t think of anything hotter.
When you first joined the Heart Pirates, after Ikkaku had found you in cold blood nearly offing two burglars with a shorty after they tried to rob an elderly couple, her promises of a warm bed, delicious food, a bear as a navigator, and the captain being a bombshell weren't exaggerated at all. But with all professionalism, you wouldn't agree to that out in the open. Except maybe if you had one or two shots too many.
Back in the present, you smiled inwardly at the chance you took and everything it had led up to, this shared moment of intimacy with none other than your captain included.
As you released Law cocks out of his imprisonment you couldn´t help but tease his stiff rod with a quick swipe of your thumb, earning yourselves a deep groan from the man in question. The tan cock sprang free with much vigor, a bit of pre-cum having already assembled at the dark pink slit. Experimentally you gave him a few lazy strokes, before Law signaled you to hoist yourself above him, so he could enter you. You cocked an eyebrow, a bit surprised that a doctor like him didn´t seem to care much for protection. He seemed to know exactly what you were thinking about, as he gave your hip a reassuring squeeze. "Don't worry, I'm infertile," he said, looking at you with a casual expression, causing your eyes to widen in surprise at how nonchalantly he addressed the topic. "What? It's no big deal. Just a result of a hereditary disease."
You gulped, feeling a bit unsure of how to react to this fact, but then decided to drop the topic for now. After all, Law was the doctor and likely had more knowledge of his own insides than anyone would ever want – well, except for the Surgeon of Death himself, that is.Formularbeginn
Holding yourselves steady with your hand on his broad shoulders, you slowly sank yourselves down on his cock, a shiver running down your spine as you felt him protrude your wet insides. Groans escaped you both as sheeted himself inside you, the skin-on-skin contact making your core starting to coil once more.
When you had finally accommodated to Law´s grith you started to move, lazily dragging your hips up and down, fingers digging into his tan muscles. Your captain reacted with much enthusiasm, his grip on your hands not only steading you in your motion but giving him the needed point of gravity to meet your motions with his own hip thrusts. No sooner than later the room was filled with the rhythmical slapping of sweaty skin and a salve of both of your moans, relishing in each other’s ecstasy.
Just when you had sunken down once more on Laws length he suddenly snaked his hands firmly around you, locating you on your back and him atop of you, the last fabric of his black kimono falling down onto the ground, revealing the full glory of his tattooed body. You racked your nails over his back from the pleasure the newly found angle brought you, while Law pounded your weeping cunt. Spurred on, you hooked your legs around his hips nearly drilling the poor man to the hilt inside you.
“y/n-ya, don´t do that or….” Law groaned out stopping mid-sentence. “Or what?” you asked teasingly, giving one of his nipples a slow pull. “Fuck.” You had your answer, when you felt Law rot one last time against you, painting your insides with his cum as he emptied himself inside you. Feeling the sudden hot splashes of his seed inside you made you contract like crazy, milking him dry of his last drop.
As he slid out of you, he kissed you on the forehead, slowly draping your bedding over both of you and nestled himself into the comfy covers of your futon with you in his arms. As you came down from your own high you suddenly registered that despite his affirmation, Law had cum inside you.
“Say didn´t you-“ .” Law muffled in your hair, clearly tired from your escapade. “I said I´m infertile, not that I can´t cum y/n-ya. Read a book for once”.
"I think I'll pass," you retorted, rolling your eyes in a playful manner before snuggling into Law's embrace. He slowly ran his fingers through your hair as he asked in a low baritone voice, "Are you alright? Need anything?" You shook your head wearily, stifling a yawn with your hand. "Just a good night's sleep. Rest can wait till t´morrow."
"Same here," he replied, his grasp tightening around you.
Just before sleep embraced both of you, you whispered gently into his ear, "Oh, and by the way, you passed with flying colors." Instantly, a subtle smile adorned Law's usually impassive countenance as slumber claimed him. As you drifted off into a tranquil sleep, a final utterance lingered in your ears.
"Glad to hear that."

Through Law's eyes (Chapter 4)

WC: 2,993 | Law x y/n, afab!reader | continuation of "We should talk" A/N: My attempt of writing a first person perspective, Law's POV, reminiscing the days before that one fateful day. It's been about three years now since she became part of our crew. I remember the day she barged into our lives like a storm, all fierce determination, and pleading eyes. We'd just finished a mission on one of the islands in the North Blue, and she'd been instrumental in our success.
But when she asked to join us, I wasn't exactly jumping at the chance. See, it's not that I had anything against her personally—it's just that taking on new crew members is a big decision. Let alone another woman, aside from Ikkaku, to join the crew.
But as Penguin—bless his chatty soul—filled me in on her background, I started to see things differently. Turns out, she wasn't just some runaway trying to escape a bad situation. She had skills—mad skills. Not only was she handy with medicine, but she knew her way around basic mechanics too. That's the kind of resourcefulness you can't ignore on the Grand Line.
Penguin had spent some time with her while we were sorting out the aftermath of our mission. He couldn't stop talking about her, which, coming from him, was saying something. But the more he told me, the more I realized that she belonged with us. She wasn't just looking for a way out—she was looking for a purpose. And maybe, just maybe, we could give her that.
So, despite my initial reservations, I welcomed her aboard.
At first, she struggled with sea sickness, poor thing. But she didn't let it keep her down for long. Despite her initial queasiness, she threw herself into life aboard the Polar Tang with all the gusto of a seasoned sailor. She had this tomboyish vibe about her, fitting right in with the rough-and-tumble atmosphere of our crew.
Watching her adjust was like seeing a flower bloom in the midst of a storm. Day by day, she grew more accustomed to the rhythms of life at sea. And when she finally donned that crisp, white overall suit—the same one worn by the rest of the Heart Pirates—it was like she'd always been one of us. The crew welcomed her with open arms, and she fit in seamlessly.
I often caught glimpses of her shadowing Penguin, Shachi, and Bepo, soaking up their knowledge like a sponge. They took her under their wing, showing her the ropes of ship life, teaching her the ins and outs of the Polar Tang. They made sure she knew the rules I'd laid down, and they filled her in on all the little tricks and quirks of submarine living. And you know what? She took it all in stride, like it was second nature to her.
As they reported her progress to me, I couldn't help but be impressed. She was a quick learner, picking up skills that took others years to master. And every time I nodded in approval, it was like giving her a silent pat on the back. She was proving herself, not just to me, but to the whole crew.
                                              XXXX
I remember that moment vividly, like it was yesterday. I was making my rounds through the submarine when I noticed a faint glow emanating from beneath the door of my office. Curiosity piqued, I approached quietly and peeked through the small window. There she was, surrounded by a sea of medical books, completely engrossed in their pages. Her expression was a mix of fascination and concentration, her lips forming silent words as she absorbed the knowledge within those worn pages.
I knocked softly, not wanting to startle her, and she jumped, clearly caught off guard. As I entered, she stood up quickly, blinking rapidly as if she'd been caught with her hand in the cookie jar.
"I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't be touching these," she apologized, her voice tinged with guilt.
But I shook my head, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips. "No problem at all. You're welcome to borrow them anytime."
Her face lit up like a child on Christmas morning, and she grinned at me eagerly. "I also brought some medical books with me when I came aboard the sub. Can I keep them here?" she asked, gesturing to the stack of books she'd brought with her.
I nodded, touched by her enthusiasm. It wasn't every day that someone showed such genuine interest in expanding their knowledge.
And so, our impromptu study sessions began. It was the only time we were truly alone together, just the two of us surrounded by the wealth of knowledge contained within those walls. And as we poured over the books, exchanging insights and ideas, I couldn't help but feel a sense of closeness growing between us. She wasn't just a member of my crew—she was a kindred spirit, hungry for knowledge and eager to learn.
This isn’t something we do on a regular basis. During those rare moments when our duties aligned and we found ourselves in the same room, engrossed in our respective books, I couldn't help but steal glances at her. There was something mesmerizing about the way she immersed herself in her reading, her brow furrowed in concentration, her lips moving silently as she absorbed the words on the page.
One particular night stands out in my memory. We were seated across from each other, the soft glow of the lamplight casting gentle shadows across her features. As I lifted my gaze from the text in front of me, I found myself studying her with a newfound curiosity. Her long lashes brushed against her cheeks with each blink, and her eyes darted back and forth across the pages, devouring every word. My gaze trailed down to the delicate curve of her nose, and then lingered on her lips—soft and full, like petals begging to be kissed.
I shook my head, trying to dispel the sudden wave of distraction that washed over me. I couldn't afford to get lost in thoughts of her—not when there were duties to attend to, and a ship to command. But despite my best efforts to focus on my reading, my mind kept drifting back to her, like a ship caught in an irresistible current.
What are you doing? I chided myself silently, forcing my attention back. I couldn't afford to let myself be distracted—not by her, or by anything else. But as I stole one last glance at her, her beauty illuminated by the soft glow of the lamplight, I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to reach out and touch her, to feel the warmth of her skin beneath my fingertips.
But such thoughts were dangerous, I reminded myself sternly. We were pirates, after all—outlaws on the high seas. And as much as I might have wanted to, I couldn't allow myself to get too close. Not when the stakes were so high, and the dangers so real. So, with a sigh, I forced myself to turn back to my book, pushing aside the tantalizing thoughts that threatened to consume me. But deep down, I knew that no matter how hard I tried to resist, she had already captured a piece of my heart.
That moment of distraction was like a brief flicker of light in the darkness—a glimmer of something I hadn't felt in ages. But I knew better than to let it take root. Emotions were a dangerous thing for a pirate, especially someone in my position. So, I buried those feelings deep down, resolved to concentrate on the current task.
                                               XXXX
I threw myself into my duties with a renewed vigor, strategizing and planning with a single-minded intensity. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and before I knew it, a year had slipped by like sand through my fingers. We had crossed into the treacherous waters of the Grand Line, where danger lurked around every corner and the ocean itself seemed to rise up against us.
In the depths of the Grand Line, the challenges we faced were unlike anything we'd encountered before. The sea monsters were larger, fiercer, and more relentless than those of the North Blue. Every day was a battle for survival, as we navigated through storms and dodged the attacks of creatures that seemed intent on tearing our ship apart.
But despite the dangers, I found solace in the chaos. In the midst of battle, there was no room for distraction or doubt. Every decision had to be made with precision and clarity, every move calculated to ensure our survival. And as the captain of the Heart Pirates, it was my responsibility to lead my crew through the storm and into calmer waters.
So, I pushed aside any lingering thoughts of her. There would be time for reflection later, when the seas were calm and the danger had passed. But for now, my only concern was keeping my crew safe and steering our ship toward our next destination in the unpredictable waters of the Grand Line.
                                           XXXX
It was on one such stop at an island that another incident unfolded. As I stood by the dock, mulling over our next course of action, she came bounding towards me, her fiery determination evident in every step.
I couldn't help but let out a sigh as she stood there, her lips set in a determined pout. This wasn't the first time we'd had this argument, and I had a sinking feeling it wouldn't be the last. She was stubborn, that much was clear, and when she set her mind to something, there was no stopping her.
But as much as her defiance grated on my nerves, I couldn't deny that there was something undeniably endearing about her fiery spirit. Even when she was being a brat, there was a spark in her eyes that I couldn't help but admire.
I pinched the bridge of my nose, trying to quell the rising frustration within me. "Fine, have it your way," I relented, knowing that arguing any further would be futile. "But on one condition."
Her eyes lit up with curiosity as she leaned in, waiting for my terms. "What is it?" she asked eagerly.
"If you're able to land even a small cut on me anywhere on my body, I'll let you join Penguin and the others in their sparring," I replied, a smirk tugging at the corners of my lips.
I told her that she’s supposed to be a support and not someone who fights on the frontline.
Her expression faltered for a moment, a hint of doubt flickering across her features. "That's not fair! You're way stronger than me!" she protested; her frustration evident.
I shrugged nonchalantly, not about to back down. "Then give up, easy as that," I teased, hoping to quell her whining once and for all.
But instead of conceding defeat, she squared her shoulders and met my gaze head-on. "Let me practice first," she declared, her determination shining through.
And in that moment, I knew there was no stopping her. Whether I liked it or not, she was going to find a way to prove herself, even if it meant facing off against me, her captain, in a battle of wills. And as much as I tried to resist, I couldn't help but feel a surge of pride swell within me at the sight of her unwavering determination. She may have been a handful, but she was my crewmate, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
As the crew gathered on the shore, forming a circle around us, I couldn't help but feel a surge of anticipation coursing through my veins. The air was charged with excitement, and I tightened my grip on Kikoku, its weight resting comfortably on my shoulder, while the other hand remained tucked inside my pocket.  Beside me stood <y/n>, a few inches away, her movements fluid as she stretched her arms, cracked her knuckles, and warmed up her legs. The intensity in her eyes was unmistakable; she was dead serious about this.
"You can still back out if you want to," I offered, my voice laced with a hint of warning.
"Why? Are you scared of me?" she shot back, her voice laced with playful defiance.
A chorus of cheers erupted from the crew, egging us on as we prepared to face off. I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at her cockiness, unsure where her newfound confidence was coming from.
"What's going on?" Shachi whispered to Penguin, his curiosity evident.
"It appears that the two had a deal, something like that," Penguin replied, his arms crossed as he observed the scene. He had assisted her briefly in honing her swordsmanship skills.
As we squared off, I caught Shachi and Penguin exchanging whispered words, their expressions a mix of concern and curiosity. They knew something was up, but they trusted me enough to let things play out.
"Just to let you know, I won't hold back. You wanted this after all," I warned her, my grip tightening around my sword as I began to unsheathe it slowly. Truth be told, I was bluffing. Landing a small bruise on her would be sufficient—I had no desire for her to harbor any ill will towards me. But perhaps teaching her a lesson was necessary.
For a moment, hesitation flickered in her eyes as she tightened her grip on her own sword but then she squared her shoulders and advanced towards me. It was easy for me to anticipate her moves, to parry her attacks effortlessly. Despite her lack of experience, she wielded her sword with conviction, her determination evident with each swing. But there was something different about her—something unexpected.
"I thought you're not going to hold back? Why are you on the defensive?" she taunted, her words ringing in the air.
I couldn't help but smirk at her audacity. With a swift movement, I vanished from her line of sight, only to reappear behind her, ready to strike. But to my surprise, she anticipated my move, twisting her body to block my attack with her sword.
Her movements were fluid and precise, as if she could see right through me. And when I attacked again, she parried effortlessly, her eyes locked on mine with a steely determination. Testing my theory, I attacked from a different angle, only for her to evade once more.
"Since when did you know you could use Observation Haki?" I asked, taken aback by her newfound skill.
"I wasn't sure," she admitted, panting slightly from exertion. "I started seeing things differently."
She was full of surprises, that much was clear. But even as we continued to clash, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more to her than met the eye.
"The deal is still on though," I reminded her, my voice firm.
"I won't back down," she replied
She may have been a novice, but she had the heart of a warrior, and I couldn't help but feel a surge of respect for her in that moment.
As our sparring continued, I couldn't help but admire her tenacity and marvel her progress. Despite her initial hesitations, she was adapting quickly, her movements becoming more fluid and precise with each exchange. The cheers of the crew egged us on, fueling the fire that burned between us.
But as the minutes dragged on, I found myself growing weary of the fight. With a final swing of my sword, I sent her weapon flying, causing her to lose her balance. Her eyes squeezed shut in anticipation of the fall, but before she could hit the ground, I acted on instinct, hooking my arm around her to steady her. Our eyes locked in a moment of shared intensity, breaths ragged, chests rising and falling in unison. I could feel the warmth of her hand against my chest, the beads of sweat glistening on our foreheads.
For a brief moment, time seemed to stand still, the world around us fading into the background as we stood locked in that intimate embrace. But the sound of applause from the crew jolted me back to reality, and I quickly helped her to her feet, trying to ignore the strange fluttering in my chest.
Retrieving my sword and sheathing it once more, I took a moment to catch my breath, removing my fur hat to run a hand through my hair. But before I could even gather my thoughts, she was already asking about joining the others in their sparring sessions.
"You didn't land a scar anywhere on me. So, it's still a no," I replied firmly, my tone leaving no room for argument.
Her face fell instantly, her lips forming again to a pout that I couldn't help but find endearing. But I refused to let myself give in to her charms—not now, not ever.
"Rules are rules. You know that" I reminded her, furrowing my brows in a gesture that I hoped conveyed my seriousness.
But she wasn't about to give up so easily. Grabbing my arms, she examined them closely, searching for any sign of injury. She squeezed my hand firmly, her touch sending a jolt of electricity through me. Then, she cupped my face in her hands, her touch gentle yet probing. She moved my head from side to side, inspecting me for any hidden injuries, her eyes scanning my features with unwavering focus. I stiffened under her touch, caught off guard by her sudden gesture. A whirlwind of conflicting emotions swirling within me.
"Stop that," I scolded lightly, trying to mask the way her touch affected me.
With a resigned sigh, I watched as the crew began to make their way back to the submarine. But even as we parted ways, I couldn't shake the feeling that this was only the beginning of something much bigger—something that would change us both in ways we couldn't even begin to imagine.

Hello! I just read law proposing to reader and it's so sweet like-- I wanna cty-
Anyway... what happens on their honeymoon? Would they dock at an island for like a week or so? Just so the two newly weds have some time alone? Or they'd keep sailing after the ceremony? Like- I imagine both happening but I wanna know what you think.
Hi dear anon, sorry for the delay in responding, I was sick this week and everything was delayed.
For me, there are two versions: the ones they would continue to navigate immediately after the ceremony, but I also think mainly that their friends would never let the honeymoon go unnoticed. I also like to think that even after the wedding was over, Law would take short days to spend just with his S/O, locked in the room enjoying each other's presence.

The archipelago filled the horizon more and more as Polar Tang approached. From afar you could see a huge park and what looked like the beach packed with people. You weren't yet used to the idea that came from the minds of Shachi and Penguin - which you soon discovered involved Nami, Robin, Ikkaku. The strong breeze ruffled the layers of the sundress you were wearing, it was also strange not to be wearing a crew jumpsuit.
"The bags are packed." Law's voice took your attention away from the destination you were arriving at.
"I mean, the suitcase. The only one." you grumbled. "What did they do?"
"I'm curious too." Law turned you back to contemplate the sea on the deck and taking advantage of the fact that you were alone, he placed quick kisses on your shoulder.
"Look on the bright side." You grabbed his chin, stroking the little beard that was there. "At least we'll have a few days just for the two of us."
"Ah, finally." He let his head fall under your shoulder, making you laugh openly.
The wedding had been incredible, including the banquet. You just didn't expect the amount of sake to be too much, even if you had ten Zoros as friends. As the night went on, you, Law and practically everyone else had more alcohol than they should have in their blood. The two of you left the party amidst whistles and jokes about the wedding night, but when you reached the room you barely had the strength to take off your dress, just as Law remained with his suit and tie turned in a funny way.
After that, you dealt with all the mess that a wedding can bring and finished restocking the Polar Tang before heading on your way. Combined with all the tiredness and accumulated responsibilities, you and Law still hadn't had the wedding night you'd dreamed of - not even 10 minutes of honeymoon.
"We're here!" you both heard Bepo scream and soon went to disembark from Polar Tang.
While you carried your small bag, Law dragged a not so big suitcase that carried some of the two of your clothes.
"Here are the keys and the address, there's a little map there." Ikkaku placed them both in your hands. "We left you a schedule and also some clothes."
"This is amazing guys."
"So, I'll see you in a week." Law asked and everyone immediately agreed. "Bepo is in charge. Any problems, and I mean any problems, just get in touch."
After a quick goodbye, the two of you headed towards the aforementioned address. Even though he wasn't much for public displays of affection, especially close to strangers, Law took your hand as you dodged fruit baskets and running children. The town fair looked lovely and you hoped you would have some time to explore it at your leisure.
"It seems to be here." the two of you stopped in front of a small wooden door. Law took the lead and opened it, taking the key from your hand.
It was a small but cozy house. As far as he could see, there was a small kitchen full of plants, a sofa and a den den mushi that transmitted video. A shelf with books and more flowers. In the distance you could also see two closed doors, which must have been the room where you were going to stay.
"I hope you like it. The fridge has some things ready and we left some things in the wardrobe too." his attention turned to Law, who had found a small note on the table. "What do you say we see what they got up to?"
"Sounds perfect to me." you took the lead and opened the fridge. Your bag was already thrown somewhere on the table, just as you could see that Law had already gotten rid of his bag.
Inside the fridge you found some alcoholic drinks, some fruit and a huge jar of chocolates that were your favorites. Further down you could see some bottles of wine too.
"Well, that's a great start." you put one in your mouth and approached Law, wanting to put a piece on his lips.
"I prefer this one." He took your lips in a quick kiss. You could complain, but it was undeniable that the sweet chocolate seemed much tastier when it was wrapped around his lips. "Delicious."
"Come on, we have a room to explore." you took his hand heading towards the closed doors.
"Indeed, we do" the malice in his words didn't go unnoticed and as much as you could feel your cheeks blushing, you also wanted to finally enjoy some time alone.
Behind the doors was a huge room. A dark, shaggy rug on the floor and a huge bed that could easily fit the two of you and leave room left. The window on the opposite side of the bed offered a beautiful view of the island, and you could even see the sea with your eyes.
"Wow, it's so beautiful." you laughed as you saw Law throw himself onto the bed and his body sink. "You look comfortable my love."
"Not only does it look good, it's actually good. Did you find anything out there?" he asked as soon as he saw you standing in front of the rustic and large closet that was at the other end of the room.
"I'm about to find out."
You opened the two wardrobe doors, finding some dresses that looked comfortable, hanging along with some other pieces. On the other side, some flowery t-shirts made of the same light fabric were piled up for Law. You also saw flip-flops, sunscreen, and some cosmetics.
"Just some clothes, some things… Wait." you bent down, grabbing a small black box from underneath what would be your side of the wardrobe.
Your surprise didn't go unnoticed by Law, who quietly got up and stood behind you, who didn't notice the movement. Inside the black box were several tiny panties - which most appreciate just threads and jewelry sewn together - some things that looked like lubricants, handcuffs and various other sex toys.
"Now that's interesting." Law's low voice whispered in your ear, making you shiver. One of his hands attached itself to your waist, while the other went to the box.
"I'm going to find out which one of them did this." you replied, feeling your body burn with shyness. However, the way you felt Law pull your body against his indicated what plans he had in mind.
"Leave that for later." his lips went down to your neck, while one of his hands reached into the small box. "I bet you'd look even hotter in this one." he held up a small white piece and handed it to you. His hand then went back to the box and grabbed the pair of handcuffs.
"What do you want to do?" your hands found his hat and slid down to where the dark strands of his hair appeared.
"Now that we're married, you're stuck with me." Again, his lips descended dangerously on the back of your neck. "I think it's time to make this more literal."
That morning ended exactly the same way as the evening of the same day and many other moments throughout the week. You still hadn't realized how much being confined inside a submarine could take away certain freedoms from both of you. The two of you woke up tangled up, soon after you were on the beach; You would go back to your room and decide to continue the activity with a view of the sea, then choose one of the small shops for dinner. Kitchen, living room, sofa, bathroom. You would make a point of thanking whoever had chosen the house.
The moon lit up the room and no matter how much sleep was present, you couldn't sleep. Maybe it was because of the small sadness that occupied your heart when you knew that it was the last night you would spend there and that the next day you would leave, maybe it was the noise of music coming from outside, but it was probably an uncomfortable noise coming from the kitchen.
As you watched Law, you could see that he was far away in the dream world. His tattooed back was lit by the moon and the only thing stopping him from being completely naked was a sheet over him. You stood up and put on panties - normal this time - and a black shirt that had been on your husband's body for a few hours ago.
You looked in every corner of the kitchen and found nothing, nothing that could be making such a mess at that hour. When you reached the sofa you then realized. A tiny black ball of fur, huddled next to one of the rugs, caught your attention.
"Oh no." You picked up what was supposed to be a small black cat kitten, on one of its paws there were some thorns. "Let me help you."
You first tried hard to remove the thorns, but were unsuccessful as the cat complained every time you touched the injured area. Soon after, you tried to find the litter he belonged to, but there was no sign of a cat around the house. Only one solution ran through his mind. You left the cat on the sofa and went in search of Law, you just didn't expect to find him already leaving the room.
"Everything is fine?" he asked, still drowsy, trying to understand your disappearance from the bed.
"We need to talk."
"Now?" he looked indignant, still yawning.
"I want to have a baby." As soon as the words left his mouth, Law's color seemed to leave him along with the sleep he seemed to be feeling. His mouth opened and closed a few times, searching for words. "No, not that. A baby, a kitten. He's alone, he's hurt and I don't know what to do."
"Okay… I understand" he accepted almost automatically, still stuck in his first conception of what a baby would be. "I just wouldn't go around informing anyone like that."
"I'm just a little anxious, help me, love, please." You pouted making the task almost irresistible for him. "I don't know what else to do."
"Let me see him." Law followed you to the couch and saw the little ball of fur bundled up. "Hey man, you don't look good."
"I tried to take it away, I tried to give it food, but he won't let me touch his paw."
"Wait for me in the room, maybe you don't like seeing it." Law asked and even though you were reluctant, you nodded and walked away from the two.
It took more minutes than you expected and you had probably already walked around the entire room more than ten times when Law opened the door, bringing the small cat and a small pot in your hands.
"Someone was hungry." He sat down and placed the kitten on the floor, next to the pot that looked like some crushed fruit.
"Thank you my love." you hug him, placing countless kisses on Law's head. "We need to buy food for him."
"Is he really going with us?" Law turned up, finding an expression that made it clear that the decision had already been made. "What will it be called?"
"I'll let you choose. But think carefully first." Law untangled your arms from him, just so he could place you sitting on his legs.
"Thank you my dear."
"For letting you choose the name?"
"Not only that, but for choosing me." He still held you close, as if he was afraid you were going to disappear. "For choosing to love me and of course, for growing our family."
-- Extra 01
"So, did you like the gifts?" Ikkaku took your arm and pulled you away from the others. The boys seemed more entertained by the little cat than by your return.
"Was you?!"
"It was and I hope you brought everything back because the owner of the house is a nice old lady, she doesn't need to know about these things."
"Well, I brought the toys and a single panty." you replied, the victorious smile was clear on your lips.
"One? Just one? Did you miss all the others?"
"I didn't lose them, they're just no longer usable." you responded as naturally as possible, laughing as you saw the meaning of the words reach your friend. "Actually two, the first one I think Law wanted to keep as a souvenir."
"Oh God, no, I won't think about that." She left apparently traumatized and leaving you laughing about the situation.
--Extra 02
You had already done your tasks in the command room, updated your medicine stock and it was almost lunch time. As you approached your room, you knew that Law wouldn't be that busy at this time and it would be a great time to have lunch together. You just didn't expect to find him holding the cat on the table, the small black cat resting on both paws, as if the feline were a toy fighting with two other action figures.
"And the warrior Sora took down the…" Law - and the cat - noticed your present. "I was just.. Sora and I were just having fun." He tried to find a justification, making you laugh even more.

So, I am begging you here, pls tell me that Ikkaku and Yumichika are still bffs on this AU. I need the violent miss- and yet perfectly matched bastards to still be forever ride-and-die with each other.
Also, all the dropped tidbits relating to Yumichika are gold and I am hoarding them like a squirrel hoards his nuts for winter.
They are actually, for real, legally married.
Ikkaku was 500% ready to fight the entire Gotei-13 when he took the 628-year old marriage certificate he and Yumichika had gotten in 72 North to the Seireitei Records Office to be honored.
Instead, the sole hiccup in the process was the young lady behind the counter asking him to spell Yumichika's surname for her as this document seems to have been... stained, at some point.
"-That's not... Blood, is it?" She asks, concerned.
"Uh. It's actually. Um. Soy Sauce." Ikkaku mumbles.
It would have been less embarrassing if it had been blood.
Turns out, Gay marriage- and indeed, divorce, or changing your name, or gender, or becoming the third, fourth or seventeenth parent/legal guardian to a kid is a nonissue in soul society, because someone complained *once* and Yamamoto declared that, one, he didn't care, and two, the rest of the military commanders were hired off death row, and *this* is what you're complaining about? Fuck off.
But here are some Yumichika Fun Facts:
Everyone in the 11th division has really, really good personal hygiene and well-cared for hands, feet and nails because Yumichika's mother was a doctor at a rural hospital and put the fear of dysentery, cholera, pneumonia, tetanus, sepsis, trench rot and necrosis into him even more than fear of the gods, and he very much continued this sanitary evangelism.
Yumichika's other mother was a drag queen at the brothel that adjoined the hospital and taught him all about hair, makeup, poisons, manners, alley fights, how to play the shamisen, how to make a knife out of anything, flower arrangement and how to curse the hell out of a motherfucker of it comes to that.
Kubo was wrong Yumichika looks out for all his sisters not just his cis-ters.
Kenpachi was friends with Yumichika before either of the ever knew Ikkaku. He met Yumichika shortly after adopting Yachiru when Yumichika saved him from drowning in the river that ran through his home village.
Kenpachi asked Yumichika what he could do in gratitude for saving his life, and Yumichika, seeing his sword, asked if Kenpachi could "give him a real fight, for once"
They had a jolly little scrap that left Yumichika in the hospital for three months, an almost insatiable lust for battle, and a permanent bald scar on the edge of his eyebrow, which is where he glues the decorative feathers he wears.
It also got him (lovingly) told to move out and make his way in the world.
Yumichika met Ikkaku some years after that, when the theater/brothel he was working at hired Ikkaku on as an Emcee and a comedy act in his own right.
Ikkaku loves making people laugh and is damn good at it.
Yumichika was already considering making a move on him when a heckler pulled a sword on Yumichika during his act and Ikkaku beat the shit out of him with a chair without a second thought, and Yumichika decided he was going to seduce and marry this bald little maniac then and there.
It still took the better part of six months, because Ikkaku was convinced that Yumichika was "Way out of his league" and "He's just being friendly to a coworker!".
Things finally became clear when, having reached a boiling point of sexual frustration, Yumichika challenged Ikkaku to a duel, beat the hell out of Ikkaku with Kujaku, and screamed his feelings directly into Ikkaku's face.
"Oh." Said Ikkaku. "Why didn't you say something?"
"I'VE BEEN SAYING THINGS AND SHOWING YOU THINGS AND SITTING IN YOUR LAP AND KISSING YOU FOR SIX MONTHS YOU FUCKING MORON."
"...I may be stupid."
"At least you're also cute. C'mere you sexy cueball."
-and they have been blissfully if dramatically wedded since.
It was many years after that that they had moved on to a different brothel as a duo floor show act, when they got to talking to some of the other working girls about their travels and Yumichika tells the story of how he got his eyebrow scar saving a real freak of a guy from drowning after he got stabbed by a river stingray, but then he challenged him to a fight because- well, he was young and cocky and a small fish, but in a tiny pond- and promptly got his ass beat.
"That's wild!" Says Ikkaku. "I also challenged a random freak with a stingray scar on his leg to a fight because I was bored and- all due respect to you and Kujaku, my beloved - but he gave me a thrashing the likes of which I'd never had before or since. He had his daughter with him was the weird part- he was a real big bastard, face like a cliff, but his girl was this adorable little pink thing."
Yumichika sits up, frowning. "-seven feet tall in socks, big vertical scar on the right side of his face?" He asked, gesturing to his own.
Ikkaku put his drink down and pointed at Yumichika "-and bells in his hair! You fought Zaraki Kenpachi too??"
"Yes! What the hell?" Yumichika laughed. "I wonder where he is now..."
"Oh Gods, he had the WORST sense of direction! He's probably managed to walk in and back out of the Soul King's palace on accident!" Ikkaku giggled
"Well, if he's the same seven foot tall sword bastard with the scarred face and pink little girl on his shoulder as the seven foot tall sword bastard with the scarred face and the pink little girl on his shoulder standing out in the street looking lost as hell, you can go ask him." Said their coworker Sachiko, pointing to the giant standing not a dozen feet away.
"Look Ken-chan! It's YuYu and Baldy!" Yachiru giggled.
"Yachiru!" Yumichika gasped, delighted.
"I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME THAT!" bellowed Ikkaku.
"YOU AGAIN!" Zaraki bellowed, ecstatic. " BEEN A FEW YEARS, LET'S SEE HOW MUCH YOU LEARNED!!"
Ten minutes of incredible violence, twelve minutes of evading the police and twenty-one minutes of getting lost on the way back to the brothel, a bloodied but still standing Yumichika was explaining to the Madame that the giant bastard carrying the unconscious half of her prized floor show duo behind him was, in fact, an old friend of theirs whom she should absolutely hire as a bouncer, you can see how effective he is!
Madame Tsubaki, who recognizes incredible spiritual power and fighting potential when she sees it, and who is still very petty about the divorce from her husband the Shinigami Captain-General, allows herself to be persuaded.

Lovebug
Trafalgar Law x fem!reader
Note: it's pretty shit cause I'm writing all of this at 9:55 pm, would've been alright if my eyes aren't closing.
Tumblr media
Exploring the new island with Law was quite pleasant.
Considering the man himself is quiet most of the time, sneaking glances over at (y/n) if she was still there or just to look if they were being followed.
"Captain look." She called, "pretty little flowers~" she hummed as she looked at a beautiful bush of flowers.
They had pink pollen centers and petals that are of dark red that slowly fades to a lighter red as it's stem is quite prickly.
Law walked over and kneeled down beside her, this plant was quite familiar to him yet he does not remember having read about it anywhere.
"Just a sec..." She smiled as she stood up and walked off for a bit, leaving Law to his own devices.
He sniffed the flowers before sneezing a bit thanks to the pollen, though he feels quite weird...
A heavy yet light uncomfortable feeling
"Law, look...! A dandelion, must be last the season" (y/n) soon came back to show him the dandelion.
He could feel the world start to slow down as she walked over to him with the biggest smile and the sweetest aura.
Hearts soon fixated on her and he couldn't help looking away, it was like he was under some sort of spell
"Want to make a wish on it? No?" She asked as law felt like her voice dripped with something called "gentleness" and "love"
She soon made a wish in her head and blew on the dandelion before giggling, her giggle soon echoed in his big fucking brain making him stand up.
"Wanna know what I wished for? Wait, no... I'm not going to tell you until it comes true. Hehe" she smiled as she noticed her captain acts... And looks... Different.
He was sheepish, aloof, sloppy... Along with his beautiful gold eyes being dilated by bright pink heart shaped pupils that almost engulfed his gold orbs...
A small blush on his cheeks as he stares at (y/n), almost lovingly...
"(Y/n)..." He called, "have you ever had anyone tell you how beautiful you are...?" He smiled
It was unusual for law to speak like a drunk man... But right now he's slurring his words like he is...
"Captain..? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine... I'm fine..." He muttered as he lifted (y/n) into his arms before kissing her cheek making her freeze, "you look so pretty this close..."
She just hummed for a bit.
At the sub, she sat Law down in front of the crew to let them inspect him but Law kept pulling/using his devil fruit to place (y/n) on his lap or right beside him.
"Does he look... Different?" (Y/n) asked with concern, "is he always like this?" She asked after being placed into his lap again.
"Well he's more... Soft... Than before..." Shachi mumbled
"And he definitely smells rather pleasant..." Bepo muttered as a hum
"Wait, let me see for a bit..." Penguin hummed as he took out a book and flipped through it until he saw a specific type of flower and showed it to (y/n), "did you guys encounter this?"
"Oh! Yeah! We have" she answered as she stroked his hair when he placed his head on her shoulder.
"Hmm... Lovebug flower... Despite the name, it's a plant... Whoever inhales it's pollen may turn them to a lovesick person to the first person they see after inhaling the pollen." Penguin said while reading the description, "that's... That's fucking cheesy, what kind of flower is this?"
"Apparently enough for captain to be this way" (y/n) mumbled making the crew chuckle.
They all knew that Law LIKES (y/n), it's fairly obvious... To be honest...
Well obvious to them but not to (y/n) herself...
"Take this as a chance to get to know each other better...!" Klione encouraged
"Yeah! How about this, you take care of captain while we search for whoever could cure captain, alright?" Ikkaku proposed
"Hmm... I guess that could work, but be quick, we don't even know if this has a time limit, or else he'd be like this forever..."
Over the past couple days of the week, law and (y/n) grew closer...
Even if Law is on drugs- a pollen thing...
She even felt comfortable enough to let herself into his room since law always either drag her to his room or he goes to hers just to cuddle.
Right now, law keeps kissing (y/n) on the cheek while brushing her hair, showering her with all the love he could ever give.
That's when Shachi bursted through the door, "we found someone."
....
"Hmm... I see..." An old lady muttered once she had inspected law with a flashlight, "it seems it has gone to stage three... The lovesickness..."
"What do you mean, ma'am?" (Y/n) asked as law pulled her again to his lap
"This..." She hummed, "the excessive need for touch and craves your attention..." She shrugged, "there's only one way to fix this."
"What is it, ma'am?" Shachi asked, "we wish to bring our captain back..."
"Hmm... The way to fix this is for the one who had inhaled the pollen to kiss the one he is obsessed over... Passionately.."
(Y/n) could feel herself shudder at the thought of sharing a passionate kiss with a her captain, "i-is that the only way? Surely there's something else...?"
"There is, but the antidote has side effects such as weight loss and memory loss. It's better to go natural... If you're embarrassed, he might forget it right after. Forget everything that has happened in his... Stage..." The old woman muttered
"I... I see..." (Y/n) mumbled
"(Y/n)! Quick! Kiss him!" Penguin and Shachi said
"No. It shouldn't be a forced kiss..." The woman intervened, "or else it might worsen."
"We'll see what we can do, thank you ma'am..." (Y/n) smiled.
...
"You are so pretty..." Law whispered into her ear as he had his fingers laced with hers as they walk back to the sub
"Really...? Thank you..." She smiled at him making him smile back tenderly
"So...? What now?" Penguin mumbled
"We can't just leave captain like this...!" Shachi whined, "who knows what'll happen?!"
"I'll try my best tonight... Though I wouldn't promise you the best, though..." (Y/n) said
"You can do it, (y/n)!" The two cheered.
"I know you can do it, honey..." Law smiled as he stares at (y/n)
"Thank you, really..."
....
(Y/n) had borrowed Law's shirt for now (she forgot to do her laundry and is quite lazy at the moment) and wore some short shorts.
"Hey..." Law called as he pulled (y/n) unto his lap where she has both her thighs on each side of his hips; "you know... I don't know if the real me would say this, but... I love you so much..."
She smiled softly, knowing it was just the effect of a pollen, of course to her Law wouldn't mean that but he's in a trance...
He never would...
So she just nodded, "thank you... Law" she smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck, "I don't know if you would remember this... But... I love you too..."
Law could feel his smile widen and his arms wrap around her waist, "c-can I k-k-kiss you?" He stammered nervously
She merely smiled once more and nodded, 'passionate kiss... I guess I will take this chance... I might not kiss him, so might as well'
(Y/n) leaned forward and kiss him on the lips, Law immediately responded passionately.
Soon enough though, Law squeezed her ass by accident making her moan but took his chance on invading her mouth and exploring.
But the more they kissed, the more (y/n) realized how his grip slowly tightens and how he slowly becomes more and more eager to get a reaction from her, so she pulled away.
Both to breathe and see his condition, their tongues still connected by a thin string of saliva before disappearing.
She looked into his eyes, his eyes had no more dilated heart pupils, but they were still dilated...
The blush on his face was long gone and he soon smirked at her staring at him.
"Are you back, capta-"
"I remember." He smirked, cutting her off.
"What...?"
"I remember what you said... You love me..." He teased, "but I don't mind."
"H-huh?!"

(Kind of shy since I've got a history of misreading stuff/getting details mixed up in my head so worried I might have misunderstood and end up bothering you) May I ask for headcanons for Kojiro with an aspec fem!s/o who's uncomfy with kissing? Like, in theory it's nice and maybe she might try it someday to see what the fuss is but in present the idea of actually doing it feels just awful in a way she's not sure how to word. Instead, she prefers just hugging and holding hands, stuff like that.
You didn't bother me or misread anything at all, but I understand the anxiety around requesting people for stories or head canons and stuff. I mostly write for male or enby readers but it was my fault for not including it in my pinned post.
Don't worry though! I'm so glad you requested, and I love Kojiro. This idea is really cute! I tried alternating between she/they pronouns, I hope that's okay.
Tumblr media
Kojiro absolutely understands what aspec is because of high school and he talked to people, he was Mr. Popular
100% loves to hang out with his s/o no matter what because she's fun to hang around
He's a very physical person, but had never kissed anyone before and was content with not doing that anytime in the future
Talking to him probably ended really happily
"Kojiro, I have something to tell you... I- I'm so sorry I haven't told you anything further."
"What is it sea star? Are you okay? Did you get hurt? Did something happen?!" Already panicking.
"You know how Ikkaku was talking about how couples kiss and stuff the other day? Well... I don't... I don't think I want too!"
"Oh. That's perfectly okay!" Kojiro grinned and reached his hands out to his s/o
He ABSOLUTELY adores holding hands, hugging, and cuddling. A very touchy feely person who always wants to feel close to those he cares about.
Not a second thought about the whole kissing thing, after they mention it then it doesn't matter to him anymore
If anyone in Shiki teases them whether out of ignorance, or true maliciousness the training Ikkaku does with him suddenly pays off
If his friends try to play a drinking game with him and his s/o he will politely decline because a drinking game means Ikakku will be drunk and he often falls under peer pressure
If the time comes in the far, far, far future that she wants to try and share a kiss with him
OH boy
Kojiro will make it the most romantic thing on the planet
Flowers, candles
All the things she enjoys will be there
He'll even ask Isou for advice on how to romance people
(It doesn't go well at all)
But he'll try so hard to make you comfortable and happy, if the verdict is that they don't like it then he's fine with that
As long as he's with them it doesn't matter what they do

I've always wondered: is there anyone in Jewel's division that she likes, or trusts, or doesn't act like a dumbass around her? I know the 11th is often seen as the meathead div but would she have a decent relationship with any of her subordinates or does she feel disenfranchised or antagonized by all of them? (I always imagined she'd have at least a decent working relationship with like Ikkaku or a fun dynamic with Yumichika)
|| Asks || @sunniestshark ||
She does have a decent relationship with Ikkaku and Yumichika, and even Kenpachi to an extent despite disagreeing with some of his methods of running the division.
Ikkaku's a drinking buddy and someone she can have casual conversations with. They're ideal sparring partners because they would both rather go at each with everything they've got than 'play around'. Jewel always defeats him but he loves the challenge.
Yumichika is someone who reminds her of Airi, given how he'll pick at her un-aesthetic appearance and way of fighting while she gives him crap for not giving his all when he fights. They gently bully each other but it's taken in humor. He's usually hanging around Ikkaku so their interactions are inevitable.
Yachiru's a little shit but Jewel factors in that she's a child. She's not bad all the time but she's definitely tested Jewel's patience a number of times. They've also shared some cute moments too.
She respects Kenpachi's strength and the 'casual air' of how he runs the division. He is someone outside of her power caliber which she absolutely loves in terms of having a challenge, and doesn't mind entertaining a fight when he's willing. Even if she's barely clinging to life afterwards she's happy about it.
Out of my own squad 11 OCs, Tetsuji and Taro are closest to her.
She met Taro in TBTP when she first joined the squad and he was always like a calm older sibling figure to her. They respected each other's space. He taught her how to make flower crowns. She helped him achieve Shikai. The only time things got iffy between them was when she dated Kakos and Taro would get caught up in their crossfire from time to time, even having to forcibly separate them. Jewel and Taro weren't as close after her relationship with Kakos but they balanced out to casual greetings and respect.
Tetsuji was a division transfer during the Winter War who ended up sticking around. He and Jewel didn't mesh right away because he was too eager to be around her and she always wanted space and didn't trust him, but they became friends over time and even dated for a while. After he broke up with her they took time away from each other but eventually came around to being friends again. They care for each other deeply. When it comes to imagining an OC squad for Jewel's inner circle of friends, he's definitely in there.
All of that being said, there's still an emotional wall she keeps between herself and all of these people, and even more so with the rest of the division. She would be able to let go of them if she had to, or kill them (Kenpachi/Yachiru aside lmao) if she had the means to. Tetsu would be a struggle but if she had to.

Even Flowers Can Bloom In The Winter- Bleach- Aizen, Byakuya, Grimmjow, and Ulquiorra x AFAB reader Teaser
Because the whole entire fanfiction is way too long I'm posting this teaser to get a general idea of the success of the entire document.
----------------------------------------------------
Life in the soul society has always been both the best and worst thing that ever happened to you. Along the way you had known so many faces, so many comrades who had either fallen in battle, stopped caring about their duties, and of course those who had changed sides. You had always stood for the main ideals of the Soul Society to protect the world of the living from harm's way.
There was always a routine way of being a Soul Reaper, especially when you were the second lieutenant of squad six captain, Byakuya Kuchiki. He was arguably one of the toughest captains to put up with, but his lessons were valuable nonetheless, and you'd do anything to reach your potential. Of course your captain had the most specific training regimen, made you wake up early, ordered that if you were delivering paperwork of any kind it needed to go directly to the specified captain. If he found out you had cut corners, even by a little bit, the training would only grow harder.
Yet you would later discover that this rigid schedule would come to benefit you as time flew by instantaneously. No longer would you be just another student, just another average Soul Reaper! No, that was not in the stars for you, but maybe you would come to wish it was. Maybe ordinary life would be easier to handle.
"Look Yumichika, all I'm saying is you need to stand up to that bastard and reclaim your glory!", a rather tipsy Rangiku instructed the exhausted young man.
This was usual for the misfits, just like any other night with the clowns full of drama and energy. You leaned on the entryway of Rangiku's room, trying to connect the dots from afar without being dragged in. However a loose floorboard had other plans for you as your footing was not secure, causing you to trip and collapse near the two individuals.
"It's a surprise to see you here, (Y/N), I thought you didn't get involved in our personal affairs…", the flamboyant man chiding you for your abrupt appearance.
Of course he was kidding with you as this type of meeting was a regular occurrence in your select group of friends, and that always included you.
"I never said that, and you guys didn't leave room for me to join the conversation exactly. By the way, who's ass is on the line?"
Rangiku helped you get in a sitting position, still holding in a few chuckles from seeing your entrance. You really shouldn't have jumped down that rabbit hole, but at the time it seemed insignificant.
"Well Yumi here is complaining about Ikkaku, who said something about his appearance, and it didn't go well. Honestly I think he looks fine, but he won't take my opinion on the matter," she whispered to you, trying to hide the fact she just blabbed right in front of Yumichika.
"Hey don't tell her that! I thought you agreed to keep it secret! How will the other officials see me!? If Ikkaku, that bald idiot thinks I look bad!?"
A silence followed the outrageous comment, caused by the need to figure out if he was really serious. He always had these worries, even though you were pretty sure he was the epitome of gorgeous, besides his attitude levels.
It was just the thing you needed after a day's work, hearing your friend hold the silliest of insecurities, all while you and Rangiku clutched your abdomens, laughing hysterically. As much as Yumichika wanted to stay bitter, he found himself laughing right alongside you two.
"Okay, now that that topic is out of the way, and since we're talking appearances, let's list the most intriguing Soul Reapers! I'll go first, by saying that I'm plenty interested in that Izuru. Sure he could have more of a personality, but it isn't like we're going out or anything!", Rangiku continued on with the shenanigans.
You shared a look with the swordsman next to you, both of you holding a look of confusion and concern for her spontaneous interruption.
"Ugh there's so many boring guys here! And all the hot ones are our superiors anyways," he stated, clearly wanting to change the subject.
Yet his desire to end the conversation was shut down by another question from Rangiku.
"Uh yeah, have you seen them? I'm not saying we date them or anything, but at least give me some details! (Y/N), you're Captain Kuchiki's third seat! Isn't there anything interesting in squad six? Maybe Renji?"
You pushed her shoulder, flushed from the cheeks down to your neck at the assumption. Sure you may have had a small inkling of adoration for him, but only because he was one of the Captains of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads! And Renji was too infatuated with Rukia for your heart to develop an attachment.
"Grow up, Rangiku! Renji is not my type, plus he's had a crush on Rukia for years! Not to mention he's my superior as well!"
A devilish smile appeared on her features, resembling that of excess delight.
"But you didn't say anything about Captain Kuchiki! He's been single for a lifetime, plus you see him everyday, so you must at least have some sort of affliction connected!"
You wanted to tell yourself the liquor had gone to her head, which was probably true, but it wouldn't change anything because her mind was set on making you confess.
"There you go again, making assumptions about our lives! Y'know Rangiku you claim to like Izuru, but you've totally got the hots for Captain Hitsugaya! Especially at the training ground yesterday, you were so into him!", You countered in defense, wanting to protect your own personal information.
"Please you were the one who was on top of him!"
"Because he's helping me with my zanpakuto! Do you know how hard ice is to work with!? It takes so much spirit energy, and Toshiro has the most control with the element!"
The childish argument was just the entertainment Yumichika needed to get back on his feet, although he wasn't going to join the conversation without stirring the pot more.
"You both have it bad for a bunch of guys! Rangiku, you like Toshiro, and Izuru, and don't forget that episode with Shuhei!
( Y/N) you are totally crushing on Captain Kuchiki, I mean I get it, he's pretty, but he's still an ass! And don't forget about the other one, Captain Aizen, right?"
Your pulse skipped a beat at that notion, unaware that Yumichika of all people had picked up on that small detail.
"Oh my goodness, (Y/N), you have it worse than I do! Two captains? Both of their squad barracks next to each other?"
That's when you remembered that mistake, how you had left a set of documents in your private quarters that the serious captain needed to be signed as soon as possible by the latter. You had placed them on your desk so you wouldn't lose them but your usual detour to the Squad Ten Barracks had ruined this plan.
"I have to go get some paperwork for Captain Aizen now! Sorry, see you guys tomorrow! Don't be dumb without me!", You announced just before rushing out of the small building, hoping that you could be quick without your own superior noticing your error in judgement.
You wouldn't normally use the Flash-Step technique unless it was an emergency, and in this case it was. You had been rigorously practicing the movement, but it still felt odd, becoming nothing more than a blur as passerbys wondered where you were headed at this time of night. You saw some familiar faces as you sped by, some giving you curious glances as you weaved through the bodies.
You had been promoted to the lieutenant of the sixth squad roughly a year prior, being commended for your abilities, but you were still placed in the third seat for an unknown reason. You never asked your captain, instead putting it up to random regulations that because you were so quick to raise your rank, they had to make sure you were ready for the position.
Renji had even told you he was surprised you were placed below him in ranking, but he told you not to worry about it since you had similar duties and tasks to fulfill.
Aizen's Signature
Before you knew it you had arrived at your own quarters, glancing around the halls for any signs of life besides the chatter of conversations inside shared rooms. Captains had the largest rooms, equipped with a number of different decorations and furnishings. Next were the lieutenant quarters, fit with a room big enough for an average bed, desk, couch and one bookshelf against a wall for any other special items that you may want to place in the empty space.
At last you found the pile of documents right where you left them, untouched and intact. Your eyes began to scan the letter, recognizing your own Captain's near perfect handwriting, but even in writing his tone remained the same, clear, concise, and strict just like his voice.
As you kept reading you began to feel like you were being lectured by the paper itself, the terminology was reminding you about the academy, and the stern teachers who despised the very idea of creativity. Mostly the letter was just to set up training schedules between the different squads, and listing the most impressive officers who deserved a recommendation, but alas, your name was not in Byakuya's mind, and therefore not written in ink on the page.
A slight spark of frustration crackled in the back of your skull, making you question your actual ranking among the various squads. Captain Hitsugaya had applauded your quick adaptability to learning the various techniques of your sword, and Captain Kuchiki had been taken aback by your kido use! Was it a once in a lifetime moment? Or had you simply imagined something that wasn't there in the first place? Whatever the cause, you still needed to take a jog to the Squad 5 barracks and offices, hoping that the much calmer Captain was still awake and responsive. You would have given the paperwork to Momo, but she seemed to be unavailable for the whole day, only talking to you in passing.
By the time you had left your comfortable hideout from the rest of the public, most of them were turning in for the night, and others were sneaking out to catch a break from the stressful Shinigami lifestyle. Unfortunately you could not do either after arriving at the neighboring squad quarters. After taking a breath to calm your nerves you knocked the back of your hand to the entryway frame, hoping that you could go back to your own matters without being afraid for your life.
You knocked a second time, this one a bit firmer so the sound could be heard from the other side. Your hand almost came back for one more attempt but the sliding door opened a hair before you made contact with the wall.
You'd been in multiple meetings with Sosuke Aizen since you became a lieutenant, and oftentimes those meetings brought quick conversation, of course before Head Captain Yamamoto listed his concerns and several strategies for the Soul Society to follow.
You found it convenient and a good idea to get to know your other superior, unsure of his overall personality, and abilities. The small talk was initially to make the early mornings more bearable, but you had come to understand, or rather believe, he wasn't as intense as the other Squad Captains.
You had always seen him, glanced his way, even bumped into him by accident when walking(apologizing profusely), but you'd never been so close to him in that instance. For the first time you had seen a completely different man, unable to form a cohesive sentence as your vision lingered on the pushed back hairstyle and lack of glasses. You found yourself trying to gather an explanation for your sudden appearance, and realizing you should probably arrive earlier to meetings.
"Lieutenant (L/N)? What are you doing awake at this time?" His eyes remained transfixed on your own frame, ghosting over your features in an attempt to wake up his mind.
You handed him the sheets of paper, shuddering as your hand lightly traced his own when pulling away.
"Captain Kuchiki wanted me to deliver these to you this morning but I completely forgot. I know it's late but he said it was important and needed input. You technically don't have to do this right now, it's rather dark out, so-"
But your thought was left behind as he opened the door wider, and stepped inside to grab a brush. He looked back at you, a quirk in his eyebrow forming into a questioning expression.
"It's alright, I was awake anyways." He eased your mind of the subject, then motioned for you to come inside.
"This won't take long, lieutenant, but you're free to make yourself comfortable in the meantime. Your captain sure likes his elaborate messages…"
You're sure you weren't supposed to hear that last part, wondering if all of Byakuya's letters were cryptic or logical. And if they were, how many had he sent lately?
"Hmm? That's interesting," you heard him mutter as you turned back towards the desk.
"What is it, sir? Is something the matter?"
He glanced back over his shoulder, a roll of his eyes accompanying it. He moved to the side, allowing you room near the desk.
"This is a set of documents for each of the Squad Captains to fill out, a list of recommendations for accomplished Soul Reapers and I don't see your name on Captain Kuchiki's list…."
You were stumped as he outright stated the lack of favor that the stoic man held for you. You were expecting him to hand it back to you, sure he had listed the most qualified candidates, but he began to finish up, a creased brow still in action as he leaned down to meet the desk's shorter height.
The document was placed back into your hand gently as his task was done. You would have asked who he wrote down had he not spoken aloud.
"Now not only did Captain Hitsugaya recommend you, but several others including myself did too, that way you'll be sure to get a spot in the top rankings. Plus the lieutenants also have to rank and recommend their peers as well, so I'm sure you'll be fine."
Wait? Did he not only disagree with Byakuya's opinion, but he put your name on the list! Has the world caved in and lost all sense of reason? Whatever the case, your heart was beating at a speeding rate.
"Thank you, Captain Aizen- but you didn't need to -"
He gave you a knowing glance, that same look of curiosity, of analysis, the same eyes that could make you stop dead in your tracks.
"I was going to recommend you anyway, so it wasn't out of the way. And you can drop the formalities, (L/N), it's not necessary and I don't want to get used to knowing you as just another lieutenant."
He had followed you out the door, saying his piece to let you know he wasn't going to scold you for casual conversation.
"Then, thank you Aizen, for the recommendation. I'll be sure to drop it off as soon as I reach the office."
Even just saying his last name made you feel a sense of guilt after hearing so many lessons about respecting superior officers.
He smiled at the moment, noting your expression in his mind, the look of uncertainty dwindling across your eyes as the greeting left you.
"I'm glad to hear that, but hurry back, it's getting late, and there's lots of work to be done tomorrow. Goodnight (L/N)."
And with that message the door slid shut once again, prompting you to make a quick retreat to the barracks, hoping to inform both Rangiku and Yumichika of the day's events.
—--------------
Byakuya Kuchiki's eyes crinkled as he finally began reading over other officer recommendations, unsure as to why the fifth division captain would put you in. Hitsugaya he could understand, Ukitake was friendly to everyone, Kyoraku actually wanted you on his squad, Unohana had instantly taken a liking to you, but Aizen was a mystery.
It wasn't that it bothered him necessarily, but the plain fact that he was purposefully trying to get your abilities higher before moving you upwards. It wasn't that you weren't strong enough, in fact you could beat Renji if you really set your mind to it, but you weren't going to use a battle against your friend for leverage.
Your skills were fragile at this point, they could be exceptionally strong if you were in control, but the slightest wrong move could severely hurt your body, and those around you.
He didn't want to doubt you, didn't want to seem like the unjust captain he had been painted to be. Yet he needed to keep it evident that the art of the zanpakuto took centuries to master, it was not so simple as knowing how to wield a sword.
Even though Toshiro was actively teaching you how to manage the ice, it was nothing like Hyorynmaru, and wasn't as strong either. While Toshiro's blade was physically stronger, you could create multiple ice copies at once, easily creating decoys for battle. Not only that but you could use the element to your advantage, switching between copies at the last moment if your life was threatened. Of course you could use the ice in easier ways such as slipping or freezing an opponent but that was predictable..
Even with the several advantages, your body was not indestructible, and the ice was certainly not your friend either. If you went too long it could land either a cold or an actual blanket of frost on certain aspects of your body. Still this only made you want to work harder, chasing that dream of strength and virtue.
Was he wrong for not pushing your limits? Or was he wrong for underestimating you as a soul reaper? Was he actually upset about your skills being recommended by several captains? Or was he worried you could not handle the responsibility?
Whatever the case, his mind was not at ease, it was relentless and setting his mood even lower than usual. He never understood the typical types of people, instead too focused on his own being to adapt and be open.
Even with his statuesque facade, it did make him happy that you said good morning, that you wished him well when you went off on missions, that you would ask if he had taken a break when he's sitting at his desk in absolute exhaustion.
"Captain Kuchiki? Are you alright, sir?`` Renji spoke up as he passed by.
Byakuya hadn't even noticed the time passing as he stared into the nothingness of the paper. Unable to look away from where your name was written on several lines, each detailing notes and critiques.
"Yes, I'm looking through the recommendations from the other captains, and seeing their reports."
His curt tone was made all the more snappy when he finished the sentence and finally put the papers down.
"Is something the matter with the reports? Did a captain not sign?`` Renji glanced over at the desk. While he was typically out training at this time of day, instead he had come by and was delivering documents just like you were the other night.
Byakuya only let out a huff, seeing yet another captain had written down your name. Wait? Another? Hitsugaya. Kyoraku. Ukitake. Unohana. Aizen. Ichimaru. Soi Fon. Zaraki.
Eight out of thirteen squad captains had recommended you be put more towards the front lines than stay in your current position.
Some captains even wanted to test your strength (Kenpachi). Others simply wanted to see your Kido(Unohana and Ukitake).
Some had already considered you tough after the first few weeks of joining ( Soi Fon).
The rest wanted to see just what your zanpakuto was capable of (Aizen, Ichimaru, Kyoraku).
Not to mention that later in time the lieutenants and lower would recommend their peers, making it an even bigger challenge to keep you out of the front lines.
With this much commotion and praise, why wouldn't you be moved to the second seat? Because that decision was still his and he intended to do his job despite the bias forming.
"Many of the other captains want to temporarily recruit (L/N) to see her skills in various levels. My only concern is that she's not fully grasping her zanpakuto techniques as I had hoped."
Renji was surprised that his own captain had not thought you were worthy of higher level training. He'd even stated that you were doing incredibly well when you first joined the soul society a year ago…
"Well then I think it's a good opportunity for her to branch out with other Captains and get to know the different squads. She's been training with both you and Toshiro ever since she joined."
While he wanted to disagree with his subordinate, Lieutenant Abarai was probably right, and it wouldn't make sense to disagree with the other captains as well.
"Then who should I appoint her to? It isn't as clear as choosing between two captains when eight have shown an interest. Kenpachi is a definite no, Ukitake can't strain himself too much, Kyoraku is rather lazy when it comes to training. So who else would be a good match?"Byakuya looked up at Renji, hoping he could make a decent decision.
"Well that leaves Hitsugaya, Unohana, Soi Fon, Ichimaru and Aizen, right? Personally, knowing her and her combat abilities, I think she should train with either Aizen or Soi Fon, since the others still don't have the training type she would need to be successful."
Once again Sosuke Aizen was connected to you for an unknown reason. Why in the world would he be interested in your capabilities? Soi Fon he could deduce, she was the stealth squad captain and could significantly help you with battle tactics.
Of all the decisions he would make as a captain, this felt far too stressful. Personally he didn't think this new idea of passing around Lieutenants was a great plan. Shouldn't you stick with one mentor? Especially if that mentor is your captain? He's supposed to be teaching you these survival skills, not some other Captain he knows next to nothing about.
"I'll split the mentor training between the two of them then, Soi Fon one week, Aizen the next, and it will alternate until it is decided that the mentorship should end and her final abilities will be criticized by those who trained her, myself, and Head Captain Yamamoto."
For once Renji was glad he wasn't a favorite amongst the other Squad Captains, not expecting the training to have such an impact on your reputation as a soldier.
At that instance he realized something that was different about your positions. Even though Renji was the second seat underneath Captain Kuchiki, he never went through the rigorous training like you had. In fact, the very thought of his Captain sending you to deliver paperwork was unusual.
"What if her training results don't meet the expectations? She's still an incredibly strong figure in the Court Guard Squads."
Byakuya merely glanced back towards the papers in hand, preparing to show them to the Head Captain and announce his decision to the others he would like you to train under.
He looked towards his second seat once more before leaving his office, gray eyes cold and detached.
"That result could have multiple outcomes, but the two most likely of those are that she stays in her current position, or is dropped to fourth seat. The unlikely third choice is that she keeps training and eventually meets the expectations, staying at her level as lieutenant. And the final option, she is dropped from my squad and moved."
With that negative comment, he was gone, wanting nothing more than to get this meeting over with. It wasn't just the concept of the meeting that bothered him, but his inner soul was unsure if he had made the right decision. What if his decision would ultimately drop you farther in ranking? What if you did exceptionally well and were moved to a different squad entirely? Would you still be a lieutenant, but under a different superior?
—-----------------------------------------
Idiotic Trio
Meanwhile, you were currently being forced to answer ridiculous questions by Rangiku and Yumichika, once again.
"HE PUT YOUR NAME ON THE LIST!? (Y/N), YOU ARE SO LUCKY!! HOW DID IT HAPPEN EXACTLY!?"
It didn't matter who was asking the questions at this point, as both peers were head over heels for your news report.
"Uh yeah it wasn't all that exciting, but when I went to drop off the paperwork, he invited me into his quarters, and put my name down? It really wasn't a big deal, the only thing that really confused me was his change of appearance. He had completely changed his hairstyle and he wasn't wearing those glasses. I mean I understand, you have routines for sleep I guess…"
You realized you had made a terrible mistake when you started the explanation with your superior inviting you into his room.
"You totally slept with him, didn't you? It's such an easy decision, the guy looks like a god, and your name is on the list so that's a plus….", Rangiku began, completely missing the point of how many rules that every scenario would be suggesting as broken.
*No, that's not what happened at all! It was just really cold outside and he was being polite, unlike some people who think I would just sleep with a superior!"
They both sighed in defeat, secretly hoping you had gotten lucky, while also hoping you hadn't.
"Okay, so you didn't sleep with the guy, but he totally did ya' a favor? Seems mighty suspicious! And what do you mean he changed his appearance before bed? Was he even hotter?"Yumichika interrupted.
Once more you could feel heat rising to your cheeks, mind reflecting back to the close proximity of you and him.
"(Y/N), you can create ice clones right? Just show us what you saw!"Rangiku suggested.
As much as you wanted to shy away from this discussion, all hope had been lost when you arrived in the first place.
"I've been practicing making clones of myself, but I could try it out on someone else. But don't get your hopes up when it turns into a puddle of water."
You reached for the zanpakuto on your hip, slightly unsheathing the blade from the scabbard, and tried to imagine the scenes from the night before. What exactly did he look like? How tall was he again? Did his eyes always have the ability to stop you in your tracks?
Soon enough the frost from your blade had formed into an exact replica of the man in your mind. The whole point of your clones was to make them seem living, as though they weren't made of the frozen material. But as you stared at the figure from your position on the floor your heart was striking against your chest with vicious beats.
"Holy shit, that's what he looked like!?You should have slept with him! I don't think I can handle it if you destroy it!", Rangiku exclaimed.
Those eyes never left you, following you as you stood up and walked around to examine the copy. Every detail was there, the way his hair was pushed away from his eyes, strands falling loosely down his forehead. Or how his uniform was the very same as the real deal that every Captain wore. Even as you knew it was just a carved piece of ice, it felt as though the real Sosuke Aizen was looking through you, trying to gain information from your stance, your expression, your proximity, your emotional range, and waiting for further instruction.
"What do you need, Lieutenant?"
Even his voice made you struggle to think clearly, matching the polite tone and warmth of the real Sosuke Aizen. Had your zanpakuto known what you were thinking? What you were imagining? What both Rangiku and Yumichika had suggested? Or had your soul been a catalyst to make the ice figures hand land on your jaw, cold enough to make you visibly shiver and almost recoil.
These clones were meant for battle, made to pick up on social cues and clear instruction from their summoner. But because of your lack of orders, this clone had gone off the assumption of your mind's memory, and your slight infatuation with the generous Captain of Squad Five.
"(Zanpakuto name) clone dismissed,"you instructed as the illusion crumbled and blew away, leaving nothing more than traces of frost where it previously stood.
Rangiku and Yumichika were too stunned to form a polite response, instead gasping as you returned to your position on the floor.
"Why did you destroy him!? I didn't get the chance to commit him to memory!" Yumichika whined.
That was part of the reason you destroyed the clone, an air of uncomfortability shadowing the room.
"Because I'm not leaving an exact replica of our superior walking around the barracks! Plus I can't keep it up for too long, you guys know that. Captain Kuchiki would be furious if he found out I was using my zanpakuto for something like this!"
Captain Hitsugaya appeared in the doorway, a frustrated expression on his face.
"What exactly would Captain Kuchiki be furious about, Lieutenant (L/N)? Are you slacking off again? You know I nominated you for a reason…"
All three of you idiots shut up on the spot, hoping he had not seen the replica or heard your previous conversation.
"Captain Hitsugaya, I was just practicing on my kido techniques, and Rangiku was helping me, but I need to take a break. I just don't want to overwork myself, especially before training begins next week. Also, aren't you supposed to be in that meeting with Head Captain Yamamoto?"
His eyes widened as he once again realized the joke was on him for trusting Kyoraku. That guy had told him the wrong time on purpose! At that realization he Flash-Stepped to the meeting, hoping he wouldn't be too late.
Even with the lighthearted air, your mind wandered back to moments ago. What did you want that clone to do besides show Rangiku and Yumichika? Would you have moved closer? And what about the real Captain Aizen? If he had done the same would you-
"Earth to (Y/N)? Hey are you alright?" The busty woman interjected.
"Yeah I'm just thinking about something I have to do, for the office. I think there was something about training inexperienced cadets, and I was thinking of signing up…"
The two energetic soul reapers glanced at each other before looking back at you with a blank stare.
"Signing up? Hey, wait isn't that taught by-"
"Captain Ukitake obviously! You guys need to get your minds out of the gutter! I would obviously be helping Ukitake because he's a really good mentor."
"He doesn't make you do any work! It's like you're signing up for nothing!"
"Maybe I would like to do nothing! Why can't I take a job that is easy? You guys act like I'm not allowed to take it easy," you sighed.
Without warning Rangiku put her hand against your forehead, feeling for any drastic changes in temperature.
"How often have you been using your zanpakuto?"
You wanted to say "not a lot" but that would be a lie, and lying to Rangiku was one of the most difficult tasks, especially when she knows the truth beforehand.
"A normal amount of time, why do you ask?"
"Because you're getting cold, like really really cold. And you didn't summon that clone for a super long time, so there's no reason you should be like this unless you overdid it again."
You glanced to the side, hoping your evasive maneuver would work against the redhead, but of course it did not.
"You did, didn't you!? (Y/N), you have to be careful about this stuff! What if you get sick and miss the training? Or you get sick during? Or you do super well but wear yourself out?"
You knew they were just worried about you, but it didn't dismantle the urge to defend yourself.
"I'll just take a hot shower when I get back to the barracks and I'll sleep it off. You guys don't need to act like I'm dying or anything."
Yet as you were about to stand, both of them grabbed an arm and pulled you back down, determined to make sure you were truly okay.
"But we're trying to be here for you and it's concerning when your ice acts up. Something else has to be going on?"Rangiku explained.
"Okay I admit I'm not one hundred percent amazing, but it's really stupid. Captain Kuchiki handed me some paperwork I needed to get signed by Captain Aizen, and it happened to be the recommendation forms. But under Captain Kuchiki's list of experienced soldiers, I wasn't on the list, and I didn't check any other lists. Why would my own captain not put me there? He's been complimenting my techniques in training…and Aizen signed my name."
Rangiku and Yumichika both put an instinctive hand on your shoulders, trying to support you as best as possible. For the rest of the day, all they did was look out for you, even asking if they needed to speak to Captain Kuchiki for you.
—------------------------------------
Sosuke always hated these meetings, dreading the idea of sitting amongst a group of people he really didn't care about. But if his plan in the Soul Society was to work, he needed to play the part, and that included attending the Captain only meetings.
"I've gathered you all here today to discuss the Lieutenants that have stood out most amongst our different squads, whether they be new or old, does not matter. Today we will only be basing this off Captain recommendations, and will have a meeting following the Lieutenant recommendations. Now I do not mean personal recommendations based on just feeling, but their skill as a Soul Reaper, as a protector of our realm and The World Of The Living. I will read off the names of those who have been prominently chosen, who they were chosen by, and ask why."
Okay maybe he had to admit that this meeting was a little interesting, seeing how the superior shinigami considered their subordinates.
"The first name I'll read is Lieutenant Renji Abarai with three recommendations from Captain Kuchiki, Ukitake, and Unohana. Why did each of you suggest this Lieutenant?"
Byakuya began, standing at the table and facing the Head Captain, keeping his voice even.
"Lieutenant Abarai is a strong soul reaper, who I feel would benefit my squad the most with his range and dedication."
Next was Captain Ukitake, who if he was being honest didn't think too much about this decision, opting to put down one of the first lieutenants he trusted. Unohana then addressed how Renji needed to work on his Kido, and she could teach him certain techniques to maintain his health on the field.
There were so many names that he found his eyes wandering around the room, regretting his choice to wear glasses he didn't need within the Soul Society, later gaining a slight headache when they were finally off.
"One of the most heavily selected Lieutenants was officer (Y/N) (L/N) with several recommendations from Captain Hitsugaya, Ukitake, Kyoraku, Unohana, Zaraki, Ichimaru, Aizen and Soi Fon."
His interest was piqued once again, but he was annoyed at the fact Gin had purposefully picked your name as well. Whether they were comrades in a secret alliance or not, did not change the frustration building within his eyes.
Captain Hitsugaya's Recommendation
"Lieutenant (L/N) was my first choice because of her use of another ice zanpakuto. Her abilities are strong but she does not have the full capabilities yet to reach her potential. I would like to help her master these abilities before she slips up."
Captain Zaraki's Recommendation
"The kid has incredible strength with just a Shikai, and I want to see just how tough she can get!"
Captain Ukitake's Recommendation
"I can help her work on preserving strength when fighting with a health disadvantage."
Captain Kyoraku's Recommendation
"The girl has a spirit we haven't seen in a long time, and that alone proves her prowess as a member of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads."
Captain Unohana's Recommendation
"Like Captain Ukitake I want to help her understand her boundaries but not be completely limited by them. I want to teach her healing techniques if she is unable to manually patch wounds or side effects in battle."
Captain Ichimaru's Recommendation
"Her reaction timing is rather fast, and I want to try my own tactics to see how she does."
Captain Soi Fon's Recommendation
"While she has a fast reaction time and speed, she can forget that stealth is important in battle. If she can master stealth, she won't need to worry about close combat as much."
He breathed out a sigh, waiting for the Head Captain to call his name, watching in silence as the others gave their opinions without fail. Their reasons were similar, all having high expectations and wanting to see you through. Some even wanted you to switch squads entirely.
"Lieutenant (L/N) can use her zanpakuto to make realistic ice clones, send long distance attacks, or freeze someone up close. I want to use Kyoka Suigetsu's power and teach her other ways to control the water around her if need be. Not only is her blade incredibly strong but her dedication exceeds any other lieutenant, including my own."
His eyes locked on Byakuya Kuchiki, well aware of the last statement undermining his supposed views of Renji.
"Does anyone else have something to say about the lieutenant in question? Or more plans to be decided?" Yamamoto asked, his eyes searching the room.
Byakuya stood back up, glancing at the brunette, before speaking once more.
"Head Captain, lieutenant (L/N) may be dedicated and her potential strong, but she is not ready to move up in rank despite the training we have yet to put in motion. She is at risk of her own zanpakuto and should not be rushed further into her duties until it is under control. We can not make blind assumptions based on strength and dedication alone."
Sosuke stood up next, along with Hitsugaya, both preparing to counter against the sixth division captain.
"We're not making assumptions, Captain Kuchiki, we are taking a calculated path to better suit her needs and improve her abilities, just as you should be. She only trains with you and Captain Hitsugaya, but she needs to be well rounded in everything to meet the goal. If you don't change anything, she won't get better," He challenged his colleague, trying his best to stay calm while getting his point across.
Toshiro nodded in agreement, as everyone stared in preparation for Byakuya's response.
"Then we'll see how the training goes, but don't be too surprised if it doesn't fix the issues at hand, Captain Aizen. Captain Hitsugaya."
With that note the Lieutenants were sorted by their respective Captains, and just like he said he would, Byakuya listed you under Aizen and Soi Fon, hoping that this escapade would be worth it. He actually did like the captain of the stealth squad, her being the apprentice of Yoruichi made her one of the best mentor options.
You were still at Rangiku’s, lounging around and trying to destress, no longer worrying about the past couple days. This brought back memories of when you first joined the Soul Society, how warmly she welcomed you, despite Toshiro reminding her of curfew and manners. Despite her captain’s indifferent demeanor, he was always kind to you and tried his best to keep you on the right track.
“What if I don’t do well? If Captain Kuchiki no longer sees me as his third seat? Would someone replace me or would there no longer be a second lieutenant?”
You asked as she began to put some dishes away.
“That won’t happen, you’re too much of a badass! And if for some reason that does happen, eight other captains were floored by your skills!”
That response made you pause, not realizing that she had that information.
“You knew the whole time!? And which captains? Do you know what they said? Was it all good-”
“Yes, several captains, including myself, were quite impressed with your capabilities. But of course you know it falls on Captain Kuchiki to have the final declaration.” Toshiro entered the room, exhausted from the laborious meeting.
“The captains who put a good word in were myself, Captain Ukitake, Kyoraku, Unohana, Soi Fon, Zaraki,  Ichimaru and Aizen. We all agreed you were among the top protectors of the Soul Society. I don’t know which of us will be selected, I left afterwards, but I’m sure you shall know soon enough.”
You were still in disbelief, shocked that your superiors had even registered your  presence, let alone been impressed.
“Was there anything of note? Anything specific that is important?”
Toshiro thought about your question and felt a thread of concern for how you would take this information. He didn’t know whether to tell you what Byakuya had said or leave it alone.
“I don’t have as many details as I would like to give you, but just know you’re in a good place with practically all of the squads, and certain captains are going to be persistent to have you switch divisions. If you want to know more you should go see your captain and ask for the rest. And please don’t tell him you know who recommended you, we’re not exactly close.”
You stood up from the dining table, wishing both Rangiku and Toshiro farewell, reminding yourself you needed to fill in Yumichika when he wasn’t working.
Byakuya's Reason
The walk back to your division felt less intense that night, papers and signatures no longer confining you to work. Instead, you needed to focus on getting out of this slump, whether or not it would be easy.
After all, if this is what it meant to be a Soul Reaper, then there was nothing more to do but train and learn. Although you wished it would involve more knowledge than training, you'd rather not be near Captain Kurotsuchi and his experiments.
No, the knowledge you craved was to understand why hollows existed, why they killed so mercilessly, and how to protect the World Of The Living for good. Was there a possibility to undo the replication and rise of the hollow population? Were there techniques that could truly hurt a hollow? Could a hollow be turned back into a previous form?
If you were demoted, was it possible to rise back in ranking? To be as acknowledged as you wished? For your job as a Soul Reaper to stretch beyond mundane tasks?
You hoped you would never have to answer those questions, heart sinking at the thought of losing the dream keeping you afloat. Without your thoughts pulling you down further, you stepped into the Sixth division office, looking for Byakuya.
“So that’s it? You’ve decided not to keep her under your wing for the next few weeks? She will be your lieutenant in name only, don't you understand, Captain Kuchiki?” A muffled voice spoke as you neared the cracked, office door.
“If my training has not been sufficient, and other Captains are interested in her supposed prowess, what more can I do, Lieutenant Abarai?”
You peeked through the door, eyes straining to see the superior and subordinate engaged in a heated conversation. Renji seemed to be more vengeful, while Byakuya was trying to keep his tone in check.
“You can do so much more, you can train her more, or even try and talk to Yamamoto! You can’t just stop trying when your subordinate isn’t grasping the techniques! If you tried harder-”
“I am trying to do what is best for her and the Thirteen Court Guard Squads! I cannot go against eight captains, or Yamamoto! My techniques are not suited for training Lieutenant (L/N) the art of the zanpakuto, and neither are yours. She has extreme skill with Kido and managing her speed but there is more she needs to progress in. Captain Soi Fon will teach her stealth, while Captain Aizen teaches her sword techniques and healing Kido. That is the end of this discussion, Lieutenant Abarai, now please excuse me.”
Aizen's Reasoning
You would have moved, but you had become distracted with the conversation and staying quiet. While you could not move from the hallway, you acted as though you were on your way out, standing near your own office door. His eyes briefly glanced your way before he continued to the exit, unable to say even the smallest greeting.
“(Y/N), I tried but he made up his mind as soon as the meeting ended,  he had already handed the documents to the old man. I’m sorry I couldn’t do more to help you, even if it’s just training assignments, I know this meant a lot to you.” Renji placed a hand on your shoulder, hoping his apology came across as genuine.
You pushed his arm away, that sinking feeling returning to your chest as everything clicked into place.
“Don’t apologize for something like this,it wasn’t your fault. At least eight captains thought I was worthwhile, yeah?”
Renji hummed, slightly jealous of your bigger recommendation list, although he knew you weren’t happy.
“Yeah, we’ll see how that goes when your dumbass lands in trouble, especially with Captain Soi Fon. She’s pretty tough, even for you.”
You lightly smacked his arm at the nickname, remembering to steal his hair ties when the opportunity presented itself.
“Don’t forget who has a huge crush on his captain’s younger sister, that’s pretty stupid, even for you Renji.”
“What!? I do not! Rukia and I are just friends, same as always! You’re hanging out with Rangiku too much, your brain is dissolving into nothing but mush.”
At that comment you rolled your eyes, expecting nothing more than a jab at your friend group from Renji.
“At least I have a brain, unlike you! Seriously, that Kido spell was not meant to blow up in your face! Didn’t you hear the instructions, Stupid strawberry?”
You attempted to block his hand that was aiming to flick your forehead, although it didn’t last long as you gripped his wrist and pushed.
“Do you two pick fights often? Or is it just when you’re in the office?”
You both froze at the joking tone, turning to see Aizen standing a few feet from your squabble, smiling as you stepped back from Renji.
“Oh, so sorry Captain, I was just talking to (Y/N) about training and got carried away.” Renji put distance between you and him, sheepish after being caught annoying you.
You sent a glare towards Renji, well aware that he was the one at fault here.
“Don’t worry, I’m not scolding anyone, but I was looking for your captain, and I needed to talk with him about the meeting from today. I assume he’s not here, given your antics, so I’ll be on my way.”
He turned around, heading for the stairway, when you began to follow. You turned to Renji who motioned for you to go ahead without him, and waved.
“Captain Aizen, wait! I need to ask you something!”
He could hear the patter of your footsteps close behind, pausing his strides and waiting for your question.
“I know you put me in for the recommended lieutenants, and I don’t understand out of everyone, your reasoning for choosing me. I do appreciate your assistance in the matter, but you did not have to go to such lengths for a mere gesture.”
He laughed a bit at that sentiment, finding it amusing how confused this seemed to make you.
“(Y/N), it wasn’t just a gesture, and what I said at that meeting was the truth, that I do respect you and your strength, going even farther than just a colleague. Captain Kuchiki did not think you were ready to move upwards in combat, he claimed you would be unable to stand the pressures, but I believe you easily could, with training. So rest assured, I have no intentions to force you to join my squad, or decrease your ranking in any way.”
He was about to continue walking, but decided to add more information.
“It’s your decision how you choose to use this training, not mine, or Captain Kuchiki’s. So don’t feel like you have to do anything at all, and that includes formalities like I said before.”
You hadn’t realized that he addressed you by your first name until mentioning a lack of formalities, but by that point he had started descending the stairs.
“You’re still my superior, and it isn’t a feeling, I know I need this training, whether or not you think I do, Captain Aizen. I know my abilities can grow, so if you’re worried about pushing my limits, then don’t be, I’m stronger than you might think.”
Your words, like everything else you said or did, had a certain edge to them, invoking curiosity where it lay buried in his soul.
"Then I guess I'll have to see you in action, (Y/N). Surprise me."
Those were his last words as he walked off, smiling at the pure confidence you displayed. If only you knew his intentions, maybe you would have stood a chance.
"You are hanging out with Rangiku too much! I swear you two both try to get in trouble!" Renji spoke from the second level of the office, chin in hand as he watched the encounter.
"Y'know maybe I'm hanging out with you too much, ever think of that, Lieutenant Abarai?"
Your mocking never ceased to amaze him, always making him question how you two formed such a strong friendship. Even if he did want to fault Rangiku, which he almost always did, you were your own person in that conversation.
In fact it seemed as though he saw a spark light in your eyes the moment Byakuya left and Aizen arrived.

Hello!
I saw that your requests are open so I thought I'd make one, don't feel obligated though, I know myself that it's hard to write an idea that you don't really feel.
Anyway, I want to request a LawLu where Law is really insecure if Luffy likes him or not and if he really wants a relationship or not and he successfully resolves it ❤
Have a great day/night and I hope you get your AO3 account soon
A/n: Thank you for your request friend!! I hope you like this oneshot :) Also, I am not caught up with One Piece (yet I read fics with spoilers anyways cause I don't care anymore) so bare with me here! Also, most of this is taken in Law's POV.
Law sighs dreamily as he looks at Luffy sitting on the Sunny figurehead. Leaning on his head on his hand he has a small smile on his face as he just watches him.
"Law? Law!"
He immediately get's snaped out of his daze and looks up in surprise. It's the cook of the Strawhats. Sanji.
Sanji frowns as he cleans his hands with the handkerchief. "Law you need to stop this and make a move."
Law sighs. He's heard this millions of times from the Strawhats. No. Billions. If he had a dime for every time he got told by one of the Strawhats to make a move on their captain, he'd be rich!
"I can't do that eyebrow-ya." He lamented looking back at Luffy.
Sanji sighed and went back to doing the dishes.
For months this has went on, ever since Law had met Luffy at Sabaody, he's been shot with an arrow of love. He's fallen hard for the Straw hat boy. His crew and now the Strawhats found it hilarious and teased him relentlessly for it.
The Strawhats felt bad for Law though. Their captain was very oblivious so he didn't understand how much he affected Law.
Law always got so flustered around Luffy. Luffy would hug him, he would blush and gap like a fish. Luffy would compliment him, same effect. Whatever Luffy does really, gets him all flushed and wordless.
At night, Law slept in Luffy's captain's quarters because Luffy never uses it. He makes up scenarios in his head about what it would be like to be with Strawhat-ya.
He knows it'll never happen, he knows he'll never be good enough, that Luffy will never feel that way. Or even want a relationship. That doesn't mean that he can't dream. And boy does he dream (a/n: wink wink).
He sighs sadly as he crawls into bed that night. It all seems like an endless loop now. Him silently pining over Luffy and Luffy always never getting the message.
╚⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤╝╚⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤╝╚⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤╝
One day, the Thousand Sunny finally gets to Zou. They made it! Law's crew greet him and welcome their captain back. Hugs and sobs take place while the Heart captain puts up with it, secretly thankful to be back with his crew. He missed them very much.
But he would have to part from His Luffy. Right. Not his.
Law's smile falters and he glances to the ground.
"Are you okay captain?" Law looks to Bepo who had asked the question.
"I'm fine Bepo, don't worry."
╚⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤╝╚⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤╝╚⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤╝
Later that night, after dinner the Strawhas and the Heart pirates had a meeting. Minus their captains.
"So we all agree that we're here because of our captains, right?" Zoro started the meeting.
"AGREE!" everyone shouted.
"Okay, we know that Law is going nuts over your captain so that's why Nami and Robin made a plan. We slipped a note underneath the door to Law's Captain's Quarters saying it was from Luffy and you guys gave Luffy a note saying it was from Law." Shachi explained.
"Right!" Chopper exclaimed, raising his hooves in the air in excitement.
"Okay, so they know to meet at a flower field for a date, correct?" Ikkaku asked.
They nodded. Everything was set.
╚⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤╝╚⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤╝╚⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤╝
Law:
He was in his office reading a Sora comic when he heard a pair of feet in front of his door.
He turned in his chair and headed to it. As he was about to open the door, a note slipped through it.
Luffy.
It. Read. Luffy.
Luff sent him a note!
Law quick threw open his door to try to talk to him, but much to his dismay, he was met with nobody.
He went back into his room and opened the note.
Dear Torao,
I really like spending time with you! Let's meet at the flower field and spend time together!
Oh! And dress nice! It's a date.
Luffy
Law gasped as he read the last part. He pinched himself to see if this were real or not. Nope! Real, real, real.
He quickly went to his closet and started picking out what to wear.
╚⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤╝╚⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤╝╚⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤╝
Law went to the flower field and waited excitedly. He has dreamed of this day since forever. He never pictured it would happen though. He never thought that Luffy would ever like him like this. Ever since he met him he always thought he wouldn't be good enough to be in a relationship with Straw hat. Luffy's so special and Law's so... meh. Nothing special.
Then Law saw him. Luffy. He looks so beautiful. Law thought. Once Luffy found him he jumped and started waving at him. Law and Luffy both giggled gleefully and started running for each other.
"Hey!" They both greeted each other at the same time.
They both blushed and looked away. "Thank you for inviting me out for a date," Law looked back at him, trying to hide his blush beneath his hat.
"What? Law I never asked you out? You asked me out!" Luffy stated confused.
"But... But I got a letter that said you wanted to spend time with me here!" Law explained to him, holding out his letter.
"I have a letter too," Luffy took his letter from his pants' pocket.
They looked at each other in confusion before Law realized what was happening here.
"Oh, I see. Luffy-ya, our crews set us up" Law told him, sad that this entire thing was fake. He knew that Luffy would never like him. It was too good to be true.
Law bowed his head in despair before Luffy grabbed his hand. He looked up. "Well, let's not let them ruin our night. I still have a hot date here, so let's have fun!"
Law gapped like a fish and turned red fervently. "You still want to?" Luffy nodded. "You like me?" Law continued. Nod again.
"Okay," he whispered, a growing smile on his face.
╚⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤╝╚⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤╝╚⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤╝
Luffy:
The rest of the night they talked and talked, walking through the flower field. They later went out to dinner and started walking back to their ships. Holding hands.
As Luffy was swinging their hands, he looked up at Law and studied him. Mine. He's mine.
Law caught Luffy staring at him and stopped walking. "yes?" he chuckled.
"Tonight was fun. We should do that again."
"Yeah?" Law smiled, "I'm glad it was enjoyable. I had fun too."
All of a sudden their faces came closer and closer to one another.
They ended their night kissing underneath the streetlight.
THE END.
A/n: I hope this was okay, I know it's long and drags on but whatever, it's cute lol

As Law worked on his paperwork, he felt the stress building inside him. He had been working on it for hours, and yet he still hadn't made any headway. He was starting to feel overwhelmed and frustrated by the seemingly never-ending pile of documents. He felt like he was wasting his time, and it was only making him more anxious.
Law took a deep breath and tried to focus on the task in front of him. He knew he could do it if he just stayed focused and kept pushing through. He took another deep breath and forced himself to keep going. He knew he could do this, and he was determined to finish the task.
Rubbing his temple, Law heard someone open the door. He looked up to see his navigator standing in the doorway, a concerned look on his face.
"Law, are you alright? You've been in here for hours and I was starting to worry," Bepo said.
Law nodded and tried to smile. "I'm doing alright, I just have a lot of paperwork to finish," he said.
Bepo nodded and stepped into his office. "Do you need help with anything?" he asked.
Law shook his head and smiled. "No, it's okay," he said. "I can handle it. But thank you for offering."
"Oh! Maybe I should bring Y/N to make you feel calm," Bepo said out loud as if it was supposed to be a thought.
Hearing your name made his eyes widen and his heart start to race. He quickly tried to compose himself, not wanting Bepo to know the affect your name had on him.
You were a special case.
Law had taken a rather special interest in you because of your Devil Fruit, the Yume Yume no Mi, the ability to shoot a cosmic ray to make people fall asleep for a desired amount of time or fall asleep so deep that they could die.
You also had the ability to control people's emotions, but only if a flower was present. He had found himself drawn to you and your ability, and you two had become close.
Although he was embarrassed to admit it, he felt calmer just by being around you.
"Have you seen her around recently?" He asked Bepo in an 'uninterested' tone.
Bepo shook his head and replied, "Nope but I saw her with Ikkaku going into the forest. Why do you ask?"
Law felt a wave of disappointment wash over him. He knew that he had no right to be disappointed, but he couldn't help it. He had been hoping to see you to help him with his paperwork, and he had been looking forward to spending time with you.
He quickly brushed away his disappointment, not wanting Bepo to know how he felt. He forced a smile onto his face and said, "I was just wondering. I'm sure I can finish this by myself."
Bepo nodded, not seeming to notice Law's sudden mood change. "Well, if you need anything, just let me know. I'll be around," he said as he was about to leave his office.
"Hey Captain, I heard my name being said," Ikkaku said, looking at Law curiously. "What's going on?"
Ikkaku stepped into the room and saw Law and Bepo, both of them looking surprised to see her.
"Oh nothing-" Law started but Bepo continued, "We were talking about Y/N, wasn't she with you last? I heard you two were headed to the forest."
Ikkaku nodded, confirming Bepo's question. "Yes, we were. We were looking for some materials but we parted ways to cover more ground. Why do you ask?"
"We were just wondering if she was coming soon," Bepo added.
Ikkaku looked shocked as she said, "I thought she already came back since I didn't see her for a while,"
Law glanced towards the window, the sun was slowly sinking behind the horizon, casting a golden hue over the sky and painting the clouds a soft pink. The sky was alight with a mesmerizing array of colors, as the sun's final rays of the day illuminated the sky in a beautiful display.
Strange, he thought to himself, you should be back by now. You usually do a daily report to him before you go to sleep so it can't be that.
He couldn't help but worry, as he knew that the forest was a dangerous place and anything could have happened to you.
He finally decided. "I'm going for a walk," He said in a nonchalant tone. He wanted to check if you were okay. He figured a quick walk to the forest wouldn't hurt anyway.
He thanked Bepo and Ikkaku and left the office, quickly making his way to the forest.
Bepo and Ikkaku watched as Law left the office, both of them with a knowing grin on their faces. They knew he was worried about Y/N and was going to check up on you. They knew him that long to know that.
They watched him leave the submarine and jump onto the island, heading towards the forest.
Ikkaku stated, "Well I think Y/N likes Captain more than he realises." Bepo nodded in agreement, "I hope Captain returns her feelings."
Tumblr media
The forest was dark and still, with a creepy atmosphere that even Law could sense. The shadows of the trees seemed to stretch out, creating a menacing atmosphere, and an eerie silence hung in the air. The wind whispered through the trees, carrying a chill that made Law's skin crawl.
He could feel eyes watching him as he made his way through the forest, and he could almost sense the danger that lurked in the darkness. He knew that this forest was full of unknown creatures and secrets, and he was careful to stay alert as he made his way forward.
"Y/N! Y/N, where are you!" Law yelled out as he gripped the sword firmly in his hand.
His voice echoed through the forest, but there was no reply. He kept calling out your name, but all he heard was the rustling of the trees and the chirping of the birds. He finally stopped and took a deep breath, his heart racing as he tried to think of what he should do next.
He was about to turn back when he heard a faint voice calling out his name.
He immediately rushed towards the voice, pushing himself to walk faster and faster as he heard the voice call out again. He could hear the pain in your voice, and it sent a wave of panic through him.
Did something happen to you? Was there anyone still on this island? Were they after you? Why you and not him?
Suddenly, a loud scream pierced through the silence, echoing through the forest and making Law jump in shock. Without thinking, he started to run, his heart pounding in his chest as he raced towards the source of the scream.
He was filled with dread as he ran, fearing the worst. He could feel his heart in his throat as he ran faster and faster, his feet pounding on the ground as he desperately ran towards the scream.
"Don't! Please stop!-"
Anger started to boil in him as he ran, his blood pumping through his veins as he thought of all the possible dangers you could be facing. He wanted to reach you as soon as possible and make sure you were safe.
He pushed himself harder, and soon he could see the clearing ahead. He was so close, and he could only hope that he was in time. . . .
Tumblr media
"So what are pirates like you doing here?" you asked.
You had heard rumors about the Heart Pirates docking on your island, so when you saw a ship docked near the shore, you knew it was them. You approached cautiously, not sure what to expect.
Everyone seemed to be on edge, no one daring to approach the pirates or even speak to them. Everyone was aware of their reputation, and the potential danger that they could bring. All eyes were on them, and the atmosphere was tense. Everyone was cautious, not wanting to be seen as a threat.
But you were different. You walked straight towards them with a smile on your face, your steps firm and confident. You knew that if you showed any fear, they would take it as a sign of weakness and attack.
So you kept your head held high and your shoulders back, determined to show them that you were not afraid. You kept your gaze steady as you approached them, your heart racing as you wondered what they would do.
As you got closer, the Captain, Trafalgar D Water Law, looked up at you with caution. He had a stern expression on his face. His eyes narrowed as he looked at you up and down. He was clearly not expecting anyone to approach them, and he was apprehensive about the situation.
Despite his caution, there was a hint of curiosity in his gaze as he looked at you, as if he was trying to figure out who you were and why you were here. He seemed to be assessing the situation, trying to figure out if you were a threat or not.
He remained silent, his eyes never leaving your face as he waited for you to speak.
"So what are pirates like you doing here?" you asked.
He was slightly shocked at the calmness in your voice but still replied, "We're only here to repair our submarine and then we'll be gone."
The villagers, who had been whispering and murmuring to each other before, got louder and more animated after seeing your interaction with the captain. They seemed to be surprised and intrigued by your boldness and even more so by the captain's response.
They exchanged glances, whispers, and nods as they discussed what had just happened.
"By any chance, did you see any ships around-"
"Miss. Y/N! You can't run off like that!" An elderly woman screamed as she pushed her way through the crowd in front of her. "Master wants you back immediately!...."
When the woman saw you talking with Law, she became quiet and her eyes widened in shock. She stopped in her tracks, her mouth hanging open as she stared at the two of you. It was clear that she was completely taken aback by the scene before her.
"Master? Who's Master?" "I heard she's a slave for the Leader, the poor soul," "Look at her clothes, they're filthy,"
Like an unruly flame, rumors ignited and spread throughout the crowd. The certainty that couldn't be denied, even though it was only whispered within gossipy circles.
Law looked at you with a neutral expression, as if the rumours had no effect on him. His eyes were clear and his gaze steady, showing no signs of pity or sympathy.
He seemed to accept the situation as it was, without passing judgement.
Something you haven't seen in a while.
"Y/N L/N! You are to be taken back to your cell!" Royal guards stated loudly as they charged in the same direction.
The crowd parted to make way for the guards, and the woman stepped aside without a word. The guards were armed with guns and were determined to take you away. Law remained still and watched as the guards approached.
He seemed to be deep in thought, his brows furrowed in concentration. He looked up at you and opened his mouth to speak, but before he could say anything, you raised your hand up.
"Tell the leader not to follow me, I'm not coming back,"
At first thought, a cosmic ray shot from your hand and everyone except for you and Law had dropped to the ground. The villagers were unconscious, their bodies limp and their breathing shallow.
The Royal Guards had also been affected by the ray and the only sounds that could be heard were the faint whimpers from the villagers and the echoes of the guards' armor clattering on the ground.
Law stood in stunned silence, his eyes wide with shock as his gaze shifted from the unconscious villagers to you.
He had only one thought in his mind. He had to know more about your ability.
"What were you going to ask?"
"If you've seen any other ships around the area, it doesn't matter if it's a pirate ship. I just want to leave here-"
"Then come with me and join my crew."
Tumblr media
He didn't know why that memory flashed in his mind. The time he had first met you.
Was it because he knew there was a chance that you could die? Or was it because he felt a deep connection with you in that moment? Or maybe it was something else entirely?
Whatever the reason, the memory of their first meeting stayed with him long after.
He ran faster and faster, his heart pounding as the memory kept playing in his head. He ran until his lungs burned and his legs ached, but he still kept going, as if running away from the memory would make it disappear.
"Sir! Please stop!"
"Looks like you've lost your manners. You only address me as Master," His voice was demanding, with a hint of anger.
"I'm sorry," There seemed to be a pause. "Master. I didn't realize I had lost my manners. It won't happen again."
"Now you are going to come with me and stop this little adventure of yours, you know you're mine,"
"I bought you. I own you. You are my possession. You don't just get to leave me when you want."
As the voices grew, he felt his heart racing with fear. He knew he was going to be confronted with something unpleasant, and he felt a chill run down his spine.
He knew he had to face whatever it was that was waiting for him, so he took a deep breath and prepared himself for what was to come.
He saw a clearing ahead and what he saw made his blood run cold.
There was a man strangling you and you were grabbing his hands, trying to break free. He wanted to run in and save you, but he was frozen in place, unable to do anything.
He watched, helplessly, as the man tightened his grip around your neck, and he felt a rage unlike anything he had ever felt before.
He didn't know why, but the sense of rage and fear that had taken over his body made him forget everything else. He dropped his sword and ran towards them, not caring about the consequences and only focused on saving you. He was determined to do whatever it took to get you away from the man's grip.
Get away from her. Leave her alone. Don't touch her.
He felt a surge of adrenaline as he threw the man to the ground. He was filled with rage, and he could barely contain himself. He punched the man again and again, and the man let out a loud groan.
Law was determined to make sure the man wouldn't hurt you again. He kept punching him until his knuckles were bloody, and he could feel the man's body going limp beneath his fists. He continued to punch him until he felt the man's body go still, though he still wasn't satisfied.
Until suddenly, a sense of calmness filled his body, making him confused. He looked around, not quite sure what had just happened. He could feel his heart rate slowing down, and the anger slowly draining away from his body.
He felt a strange sense of peace and tranquility, as if he had just been released from a spell.
He was so overwhelmed by the sudden change that he didn't know what to do. He looked around and saw the man lying on the ground, unconscious and badly beaten.
There was no one else that could have made him feel like that. Except you.
He quickly turned around to look at you, your hand out towards him.
You used your power on him.
He could see the fear in your eyes, but there was also something else there, something he couldn't quite put his finger on. He slowly walked towards you, never taking his eyes off you.
He felt a sudden surge of panic as he watched your hand drop to your side, and he rushed to your side.
He quickly put his ear to your chest, listening for your breathing and heartbeat. When he heard them, he let out a sigh of relief. He slowly placed his hands on either side of your face, gently cupping it in his hands. He looked into your eyes and smiled, relieved that you were still alive.
"Are you okay?" He asked quietly, his voice barely above a whisper as he looked into your eyes, searching for any sign of discomfort or pain.
"I- I'm okay," You answered, your voice shaking as you looked into his eyes.
"Are you sure?"
". . . . No,"
"He's not going to touch you again, I promise." Law reassured you, gently brushing a strand of hair away from your face. "No one will ever hurt you again," he said in a soft voice, his eyes never leaving yours.
He reached up and ran his thumb over your cheek, wiping away a tear that had escaped your eye.
Even though you nodded at his statement, it did not provide him with any reassurance at all.
"Law?"
"Yes Y/N?"
"I don't think I'm going to make it back," You shakily said, lowering your shirt to reveal a green patch that was spreading across your arms and chest so that Law could see it.
Law's eyes widened in shock as he stared at the spots that had spread across your body. He had no idea what it meant, but he could tell that it wasn't good. He quickly put his hand on your forehead, feeling your temperature.
Too hot for you.
As soon as he noticed you were starting to close your eyes, he immediately stopped you and said, "Hey, hey, stay awake,"
"I'm sorry for troubling you-"
"You're not," Law replied, taking a position where he would be able to carry you while using one hand to grab the sword that he had dropped onto the floor.
It was then that he stood up with you and started to run back, now seeing that there were hundreds of men scattered across the area that lay motionless, having been the victims of your abilities.
When he looked down at your weak form, he wondered how on earth you had been able to defend yourself against so many people at once.
Please stay awake a little longer.
"Law?" Your lips trembled as your gaze wandered unconsciously across his chest.
"Yes Y/N? I'm right here, just keep talking."
"If I die, I just want you to know that I've liked you for a while now."
In the middle of his steps, he froze in place.
"What?"
All of his coursing thoughts were made into one single question: You liked him?
"I thought I was being too obvious but it seems that even the Surgeon of Death can't even catch on to things like that." You chuckled to yourself yet there was no amusement on your face.
As you glanced up at him, hoping to see if it was a smile or a grin, you were surprised to see that it wasn't either, but rather one of horror.
You knew it. He never did like you.
"Leave me here. More reinforcements are going to come now and they're stronger than ever. I'll keep them back so you can escape-"
"Stop talking."
"But-"
In an instant, a glance had you stop what you were going to say, instead you paid attention to your breathing and not the reaction that he showed to your confession.
Law was everything but calm at this point: you were currently dying of an unknown injury, more reinforcements were coming for you and you just confessed your feelings to him.
You were a big part of his problems, yet he couldn't just let you go.
There's never been a feeling like that for him before.
He would miss you even though he saw you an hour ago. He got into flowers because it was part of your ability. He'd let you stay in his office and he wouldn't mind.
For goodness sake, he ate bread because you asked him to!
Could it be that he was also in love with you?
Feeling your head drop back made him jump slightly, and he quickly moved to cradle you in his arms. He felt a chill run through his body as he realized you was slipping away.
He quickly put his fingers on your neck and felt for a pulse, but it was slow and fading. Fear began to surge through him as he realized that time was of the essence.
He didn't want to admit it but he was losing you. . . .

@wanohime asked: “Quickly come hide in here!” Hiyori quickly grabbed the female that appeared to be running from something into the brothel house to help hide her. It would be the best place to blend in. Unprompted
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ikkaku had hoped to snoop around and gather information Law could use for the upcoming plan. It was still a work in progress, but she was confident her brilliant captain would have something foolproof by the time of the Fire Festival. Unfortunately, while the red light district of the Flower Capital had been full of interesting tidbits Law could use, the inquisitive, curly-haired woman had apparently attracted attention from some of the Beast Pirates who had chosen to patrol the area. Ikkaku wasn't sure if she'd caught their eye because they somehow recognized her from her wanted poster, if she'd just generally appeared suspicious, or if they just thought she'd be up for a good time.
It didn't matter - once they'd approached her, disturbing smiles on their faces, she'd chosen to run and get the hell out of dodge.
She'd briefly been worried that she wouldn't be able to get away, but it seemed someone had noticed her plight and had opted to help her. Not questioning her good fortune, Ikkaku didn't resist as the beautiful green-haired woman whisked her away into a brothel. With all the other women inside, she wouldn't stand out so much.
"Thank you," Ikkaku whispered, grabbing a discarded haori and throwing it on over her kimono, as well as yanking off her distinctive yellow beanie. Unfortunately, her curls still looked out of place among the women and could draw her pursuers' attention. "I don't suppose you've got anything that'll help me hide my hair? There don't appear to be many curly-haired women around here and I don't need it giving me away."

AceLu and CoraLaw interactions I think they would have if they got together + HCs (this is just for fun and these are my opinions/ideas! They're kinda like my guinea pigs now lmao- I don't post so I just send these to you- Sorry:'D I don't spam but if these asks annoy you, let me know!) + Zosan and NamiVivi because yes
[After *coughs* making out]
Cora: oh! I smeared lipstick on you. sorry, let me wipe it off-
Law: ...leave it.
Cora: what? why?
Law, instead of answering, walks away with a very obvious blush and lipstick still smeared on his lips and its corners.
(I HC that Cora still wears make-up on occasions and on random times, mostly for Law but sometimes he does like to wear it for himself. He experiments with his looks with Ikkaku. They do skincare together, Law and other crewmembers joins them sometimes)
Ace: hey farmboy.
Luffy: hi cowboy!
(Their hats. Luffy literally has a strawhat and Ace's looks like a cowboy hat. He also gives off cowboy vibes- giggles. I think this is the only nickname they'd give each other honestly. They don't look like the type to use nicknames or terms of endearment used by couples. But that's just my opinion)
Cora: I got called Donquixote six times today. And also got called 'Doflamingo's little brother' three times. The name/title itself doesn't bother me, it's just people's tones...
Law, quietly: would you like mine?
Cora: what?
Law, stammering out a 'logical' explanation: I mean, if you had someone else's last name people would be more comfortable and accepting... I think. It would make it harder for them to remember and recognise that you're a part of the Donquixote family.
Cora: oh.. makes sense.
Law: so..?
Cora, laughing: propose to me properly, at least!
(Law didn't propose to him that day of course, because 1. he didn't have a ring and 2. he wanted to do it properly. Plus he wanted to surprise Cora. So I'm thinking he probably spent 3-5 weeks waiting before he officially proposed to catch Cora off-guard. Maybe it was grand, or maybe it was on a simple night when they're out on the Polar Tang's deck while talking about everything and nothing at all. In any way I want the Heart crew to be there bc they're precious to me. They burst through the doors and tackle the fiancées to give their congratulations lol. Trafalgar D. Rosinante am I right fellas—)
Zoro, watching Sanji lift Luffy's whole body with his legs high up: flexible.
Ace, watching Luffy twist his body to reach the food Sanji is holding: I agree.
Cora, Ace, Sanji and Vivi: wife?? why am I the wife?
Law, Luffy, Zoro and Nami: because you're sweet and you look good in white.
(Them >>>)
That's all for now!
OMG I,,, love these ideas,,,, they're very fun.... I'm happy to get asks!! It's true that these ships are pretty small, especially on tumblr, so I get that it's nice to just chat about them with another fan 😭
Coraaaaa what a sweetheart, apologizing about the makeup... 😂 I bet Law was the one who started the makeout anyway!!! He planned this!!!
"FARMBOY" AND "COWBOY" THEY'RE SO CUTE. UGH. farmboy luffy and his strawhat sitting in the sunlight, or carrying a bunch of sunflowers and other things he's grown to Ace... I reeeeallllllly want a cute little AU where like, Ace is an experienced cowboy (maybe he works as a ranch hand on Whitebeard's property or something?) and then Luffy buys the open land across from him. He drops by now and then, at first to ask Ace for help with little tasks while setting up his farm (and he always offers to help Ace with his work in return), but then he starts stopping by just to chat with Ace or watch him work or slip in compliments about how cool he looks... Ace is flustered and also thrown off by Luffy's carefree attitude, and the grump inside him thinks Luffy won't last a month as a farmer. But Luffy's persistent, and (with the help of a seemingly endless list of friends) he gets a nice farm going... Maybe he even starts bringing Ace flowers from the small patch by his house................... And Ace mellows out and admits that he's sweet on him and,,,,, ahhh,,,,,
eek got carried away. I just love AUs. 😭 I agree, they don't seem like the type for petnames, at least not in canon... maybe in different settings... But wow... Luffy waking up with Ace and going "Morning, Cowboy" and Ace laughing like "I'm not even wearing the hat right now"
"would you like mine" "Trafalgar D. Rosinante" that's SO!! romantic!!!!! Law letting that offer slip like he hasn't been thinking about it for the last year... That proposal would be so cute!! Especially with his crew celebrating their captain's happiness 😭 he really did find a good bunch of weirdos as a found family 😭😭
laughing forever at one-track-mind Zoro and Ace. Sometimes... those boys are dumb. I love them. also LOVE those 4 getting called sweet, they are!!! and they would look good in white......

-- I tried to sleep, but my brain was screaming at me about analysing just how strong are the vines coming out of Ruri’Iro Kujaku in it’s true shikai release form. We do see Charlotte restrained by them and not being able to break free, yet in the filler arc with zanpakuto spirits Yumichika does manage to break free with kido and his blade. In that same filler arc the amount of vines is all around the place too – in one scene there’s only 4 while in another there’s 9 and yet another brings the count to 14. Of course it’s just a filler episode, but let’s look at the manga… First there’s 7 vines, then 9 and finally 16! It’s just as all over the place as the filler episode was so it doesn’t seem like Ruri’Iro is limited to any certain amount of vines every time(Or maybe the vines grow in number the longer they are attached). Can’t he then just wrap the vines all around his target, preventing them from even reaching a blade or doing a spell in the first place? I think it’s possible, but thanks to aesthetics, not a thing Yumichika(nor Ruri for that matter) is willing to do. Because of course they want to see their enemy wilt away beautifully like a flower.
So a single vine can’t withstand an offensive kido spell or a straight hit from a seated officer’s zanpakuto blade if we’re looking at the filler episode. Then again using a kido spell concentrates your reiatsu, making the flowers on the vines bloom faster a.k.a your energy burn out faster. This isn’t a problem for someone with a high enough spiritual pressure since there’s just so much energy that it won’t burn itself out before the spell is cast and the vines are destroyed. But I bet anyone under lieutenant level(Kubo has stated before that both Ikkaku and Yumichika are at that level) would struggle casting a spell fast enough and therefore would get their reiatsu completely eaten before setting themselves free. Yumichika himself struggled a bit with this too. Then their only option would be cutting themselves loose with a blade, but just how long would it take to cut through 16 vines anyway? The first ones would take the longest for sure, seeing as your movement would be the most restrained at that point. Trying to cut through something that’s basically half of the thickness of one Charlotte Chuulhorne’s wrist would be a task in itself, but then imagine doing it with only using your own wrist’s movement range. Not much power behind those swings…
I wish I had more proper material to go through and analyse Ruri’Iro further. I think it’s shikai form can hold down anyone lieutenant level and below, unless you have offensive spells that can get you out of the situation fast enough or some other trick up your sleeve. Someone at a captain level would most likely have so much spiritual pressure that it would take a while for Ruri to consume it all. Of course captains have differences in their capabilities of controlling their energy, which would also affect the end result. Someone like Zaraki would feed his energy to Ruri in terrible speeds as he can’t even hold it all in, but there’s just so much of it that it would take lots of time to get that digested for sure. If the ferocity of his reiatsu didn’t burn the vines first, of course. Then a person like Kyoraku, who doesn’t let his spiritual energy out much in the day-to-day life would most likely be able to control how much he feeds the vines and thus would gain so much time for freeing himself.
...then there’s the issue of just how much energy can Ruri’Iro absorb. Is it infinite? If you just give it time, it can steadily suck just anyone’s soul dry? Does Ruri ever reach a point where ‘it’s tummy is full’ so to speak? Does this shikai have such limitations other than the speed of sucking the energy? The speed obviously is slower when you don’t actively try to use your reiatsu(according to that filler episode again).
We do know that vines in a wild jungle can hold a lot of weight without snapping, but they’re usually pretty dried up and actually more likely to be roots(or at least attached from the both ends). They’re not flexible, living vines like we see here… Then again living plants tend to be softer and easier to break than slightly hardened ones. If Ruri’Iro even is a plant in any way – the last time I did research, he was more about peacocks and phoenixes than any garden flower. So maybe it’s vines are made of something similar to muscle tissue? Or if they’re plant-like, do they burn easily? Why does it produce lilies when lilies aren’t even vine flowers or anything close? If the flowers are for the aesthetics then the vine itself could be something not even related to those flowers, right? Gosh, I don’t know.
In the end my tired brain can’t come up with a finite answer here. But I’m certain Ruri’Iro can hold down a lieutenant level soul with no issues – as long as they don’t have the chance to cast spells, that is.

LAW IS SO CUTE WHEN HE PROPOSEEEDDD LIKE PLEASEEE I WANT HIM😭😭😭😭
I wonder, does he do the wedding stuff? Like don't sleep with each other before your wedding stuff like that? Old sayings?? Does he even believe them at all?
A/N: Hello! First, thank you for the request ❤️ Sorry for the delay in responding, weekends end up being a busy time for me.
About our beautiful lovebirds: I believe maybe it would be a great mix. Some old sayings like don't see the bride in white I think they would follow (for me, Law would be willing to do whatever his s/o dreamed of for the wedding). Despite this, I also think they would create their own traditions based on what they see as important. I hope you like it!
*I also decided to name this series of requests about marriage, I love the fact that in the fanfic you can travel with the idea of a super romantic Law. Soon I will be responding to another request received about the honeymoon/what they would do afterwards.
The proposal - the special day (part 2)
Part 1 - Part 3
Tumblr media
You considered yourself an anxious person. Are you, or not?
Even though you were tired after helping to clean up the scattered pieces after dinner - Law had been told that it was a tradition in his country to break dishes after dinner to ensure good luck and then for the bride and groom to clean up - sleep didn't seem to reach you. You still didn't understand if the insomnia was the result of being in a different bed, in the Thousand Sunny, if it was the fact that you had eaten almost nothing even with the banquet or if it was because the big day started the next morning.
Dress, makeup, hair, flowers, Law. The last item on your little mental list ran in a loop in your mind. You were sleeping separately that night, but it was impossible for you to close your eyes.
You put on your shoes and threw the sheet over your body, trying to hide your pajamas. Ikkaku, Nami, Robin and Chopper piled into the room. The straw hats were two of the few friends you collected throughout your time at sea and you couldn't help but have them at your wedding and with that, the whole crew came along. Despite some of Law's grumbles - which you knew was just silly jealousy - you invited Kid, after all, you got along very well and of all the trouble you got into, many of them involved him. Unfortunately he couldn't make it, but he sent lots and lots of bottles of sake.
The pier where the Sunny was moored seemed calm and a few meters away was the Polar Tang. A little peek at how Law was doing wouldn't hurt, would it? It only took a few steps before a voice reached you.
"I don't think it's safe for a lady to be walking around here at night." Law's voice scared you, eliciting a small scream from you.
"What the hell are you doing here?"
"I could ask the same, my little ghost." he pointed to the sheet around you. "I mean, they say it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding."
"And you believe that, sweetheart?" You sat on the edge of the dock, knocking on the wood and indicating that he should sit next to you.
"For you, I would believe." he sat up, taking your hand and letting his fingers tangle with yours. "And I have you, no amount of bad luck in the world would take that away from me."
"Can I ask you something?" he immediately nodded to your question. "I know I've always dreamed of this, weddings and parties and that kind of thing. What about you? You're not doing this just to please me, are you?"
"I think it's too late for this question." a shy smile appeared on his lips. "I never expected to meet anyone, have a relationship like the two of us have and then, it happened. From then on, seeing you make your dreams come true is like seeing my own come true."
Instead of using words, you just took his lips to you, small kisses along with "thank you" smiles and "I love you" vows were said. When he moved away from your lips, you saw him take off the coat he was wearing and place it over your shoulders.
"You're freezing but anyway, what were you doing here for yourself?"
"I couldn't sleep, I needed to see you, to know that all this was really happening." You leaned on his shoulder, feeling Law's scent invade your senses. It was discreet, but it was still your favorite scent. "And you?"
"I wanted to spy on my fiancée." He spoke directly, making you smile.
"And your groomsmen let you get away?"
"Shachi and Penguin got drunk before the third bottle and fell asleep. Bepo was even now rereading the speech."
"Poor Bepo, I hope we didn't give him too difficult a mission." you laughed, feeling Law laugh along with you. A rare moment, which usually happened when it was just the two of you. Before you could continue speaking, you heard your voice being called in the distance.
"We broke a thousand plates for nothing to keep the bad things away from the wedding and you two ran away to see each other before the ceremony!" Nami's voice echoed from Sunny. "You can come back here and Law, I think it's good to go back to your place too."
"I'm on my way." you shouted back and accepted the hand that Law extended to you to put you on your feet. Before you could try to return it, Law removed the sheet still hanging from your body and adjusted his coat, so that it covered you almost completely.
"So, see you tomorrow?" He said, rolling the fabric in his hand and handing it to you.
"Yes, oh and of course, I'll be the one in white." You smiled, feeling his lips touch your forehead. "Hey!" you groaned as you watched him walk away without a real goodbye kiss.
"I'll kiss you again when you become Mrs. Trafalgar."
When you returned to Sunny, sleep came much easier than you expected, lulled by the comfort of the fabric around your body.
The day went by much faster than you expected. You spent a few hours in the shower, others getting ready and a few more rambling alone in your thoughts, anxious about what was going to happen.
With the long white dress already adorning your body and everyone already waiting for you, you and Ikkaku began to prepare the last details. For something borrowed, you "borrowed" flowers that stood ready to become medicine in Law's laboratory: chamomile, lavender, fennel, and jasmine flowers. For something old, you wore a small golden clip in your hair, one of the few things you still brought from your home island and the small stones that adorned the piece would serve for something blue.
"I believe everything is ready." You said in a sigh, feeling your hands sweat with nervousness.
"Sure you're not missing something?" Ikkaku asked, in mock distraction. "Something new perhaps?"
"The dress doesn't count? It's the first time I'm officially wearing it." you countered, seeing her deny it through a laugh.
"Close your eyes, please." As soon as you did, you felt Ikkaku put something around your neck. The cold touch of the jewel contrasted with your skin.
When you open your eyes, you can see a thin, golden chain hanging with a pendant with the Heart Pirates' jolly roger made in gold as well.
"The boys and I decided to do this. You can marry the captain, but that doesn't mean you'll stop being our best friend." your eyes immediately flooded with the statement, just as your arms wrapped around her in a strong hug. "Okay, okay, don't cry. Nami will kill us if we ruin her work and of course, the captain must be freaking out about the delay."
"You're not making this an easy task." you dried your tears with the small piece of paper she handed you.
"Good, now is the time." she walked towards the door and opened it wide enough for only her to get through. "Remember, 3 knocks on the door."
You nodded and took a deep breath, it was now or never and the second option would never be available to the two of you. The three knocks on the door felt like an eternity.
The doors to the deck opened and you could see the small space packed with your friends. The decoration was simple, flowers scattered all over the floor and some candles. You could have paid attention to the surprised faces of your fellow sailors, the huge skeleton playing the violin or how Sanji's eyes practically turned into two hearts. You could have paid attention to everything around you, if it weren't for the eyes that you loved so much and that crossed your path.
With each step you took towards the small - and improvised - altar with a huge sunset in the background, it was as if the brightness of the orange sun couldn't compare to the way Law looked at you. You had never seen him like that, so beautiful, so happy. You could bet that some of the emotional looks were more related to surprise at the expression of your soon-to-be husband than at your own entrance.
"Sorry I'm late." you whispered, standing in front of him.
"Worth every second." He took one of your hands, giving it a chaste kiss.
It could be hours, it could be just seconds, you would spend a lifetime under the way Law looked at you that almost night. The first moments of the speech were like distant words echoed amidst a blur of image from your flooded eyes, that was when a sniffle took your attention away.
"I'm sorry." Bepo asked, wiping away a tear and getting a few laughs. "I'm very happy that they chose me for this. Law was my only friend for a long time and of course, the person who brought me to this family. And you…" Bepo turned to you, laughing. "I think that since I convinced him to let you join the pack, we've been chasing too much trouble. I mean, these are two of the most special people in the world to me who have decided to stay together. And before I conclude, I need you to say your vows."
"But the votes…" Law began, being interrupted by the polar bear. By agreement, you would keep the vows just for the two of you.
"Promise that even if you get married, you two will continue to be our friends and our companions at sea. You, my dear captain and you, my dear friend, will not forget the Heart Pirates."
"We promise." you both said in unison and your laughter came out loud when you saw Bepo's cute face practically light up at the answer.
"We would never leave you big guy." you quickly let go of Law to hug him.
"We still have a lot of sea to explore." Law placed a hand on Bepo's shoulder, who broke away from you and hugged him. "Okay, Bepo… Ok, now the focus is different."
"Ah yes, of course…" he adjusted his clothes and waited for you to adjust your dress. "About the trust you two placed in me to celebrate this moment, about the presence of all our friends and of course, the sea that brought us together. I declare you husband and wife."
The "you can kiss the bride" became a distant sound as soon as you felt Law pull you by the waist. His lips captured yours with tenderness and delicacy and yet, his hands said something different, holding you firmly against his body. His lips moved away from yours and placed another chaste kiss on your forehead. Applause and whistles filled the small deck, as well as some tears too - Bepo, Shachi and Penguin were responsible for most of them.
"Now…" you began, gaining everyone's attention. "I invite you all to go to Sunny, where Luffy has kindly proposed a banquet for us to celebrate."
"Finally, food!" you only saw Luffy throw himself from one ship to another, being followed by Sanji who was already desperate with all the embezzlement he would cause at dinner.
"We'll be waiting for you." Nami walked out arm in arm with Robin.
"I think we should all go. The bride and groom deserve some time." Robin suggested.
Little by little, the deck emptied. In the end, there were only you, Law, some petals on the ground and the end of the sunset.
"I…" Law's voice started to say, but soon stopped. You were standing, leaning on the edge of Polar Tang, enjoying the few minutes of sun that remained that day. "I think this is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen."
"Don't overdo it, my husband." you said in a provocative tone and a laugh escaped your lips when you saw Law close his eyes and appreciate something that seemed to be invisible to you.
"I don't think I heard you right." your arms circled the back of his head, placing a chaste kiss on the tip of Law's chin.
"My darling, amazing, strong, beautiful husband. I'm happy that you are now officially mine."
"That's where you're wrong, Mrs. Trafalgar. I always have been and always will be yours." He held you in his arms again and contrary to what he had done in the ceremony, he took your lips without any hesitation.
One of his hands, which were firmly attached to your waist, began to cup your face in counterpoint, as if it were the most precious treasure he had found.
"Till death do Us part?"
"Not even that will be able to separate us." He took your lips again and you tangled your fingers in the dark strands of his hair.
"I love your hat, but you look so beautiful like this."
"It doesn't compare to you." He moved away enough so he could spin you around, analyzing every inch of your body. "The most beautiful girl in the entire Grand Line. My beautiful wife."
