But like... Whatever Sarah had going on was known by Eden right? The enemy of state betrayal thing was just a cover up, so I'm assuming the bombs inside protag's heads aren't just a thing she did unauthorized, the higher ups know (unless i missed some line that contradicts this and look stupid rn which might very well be true since i finished watching the series at 5 am after not sleeping for 2 nights)

So

why the heck

was electrocution the method chosen to kill Bullfrog

Like maybe it's blockbuster logic that electricity + explosive leads to it detonating, but this show is nothing if not a slut for tropes, so if there really is a bomb in his head and he does get the chair I expect things to blow up

Not that I don't desperately want the frog to live, I really hope they do rescue him, but it's Netflix we're talking about, they could do it just for the anticlimactic twist

My best guess is that they removed the bomb before this, because they can't have their mascot and a kid blow up on air (i mean i doubt fake Rayman dies i think he's character.ai but the optics are there), and big if true, cause now if Bullfrog gets saved or escapes, they can't blow him up at any moment

But it still boggles my mind that literally any other method of execution would not trigger the bomb, had he been shot or decapitated or euthanized, but I guess for a public broadcast a bloody or slow death wouldn't do

so yea the two options are

1) the bombs really were unaccounted for, probably cause they were Sarah's personal little twist (i can believe that over Eden just collectively being stupid) and if Bullfrog dies, he takes imposter Rayman with him

2) the bomb was removed in preparation for the execution, and we get a chance at a clean getaway. Good ending :)

*Raymona had offered to go run some errands for Murfy today. Her boyfriend would soon get a call from her. When he would pick the phone up, he could hear Raymona panting.*

"Rayman? I need help. The imposter Rayman after me. I think I gave him the slip for now, but I need back up. I'm going to try to make my way to my secret workout spot. Wait for me there!"

*She would suddenly hang up the phone.*

hi anon! that's a good question! well, raymesis, I see as a completely separate character from rayman. I like to go with what legends says; I know most people believe him to be a creation of mr. dark, or a modern iteration of bad rayman from the first game, but I see him as someone who just happens to look like rayman and fucking hates his guts for no reasons. purely because I think it's funny. I don't have a specific opinion on him, he's neat though!

fakeman, I'm assuming, refers to the replacement rayman from laserhawk? I like to call him Sussy Baka Imposter Rayman. I am a very serious person by the way. anyways, this guy is kind of just rayman in my mind. I don't know if he's a hologram or a clone or what but this is pretty much just an identical rayman pre-ramon arc to me. of course, though, ramon is 'our' rayman ❤️

Captain Laserhawk episodes 4 through 6 review (Mid-major spoilers)

I am so damn confused after finishing those episodes. There's at least 30 unanswered questions.

References I spotted (I likely missed several): • Crazy Taxi (More on that further below). • Sega-CD FMV games. • Metal Gear Solid 2. • Arachnid from Transformers Prime (Easily the best Transformers media). • Rayman Origins. • Any horror movies where girls chant menacingly. • Earthbound?

Why didn't we get to know who the imposter talkshow host is? E06 made it clear that it's likely not an intangible hologram. There also really only was one Rayman in the dimension they came from (Shadow Rayman doesn't count).

I don't know a whole lot about Splinter Cell lore, so I'm not sure why Sam Fisher had both legs amputated from the knee down.

The Crazy Taxi system feels like something People's Republic of China and Saudi Arabia would literally copy 1:1. Including the electroshocks and apparent sleep deprivation.

How many VR worlds (Dimensions?) are there in this lore by now?

What kind of beach bar only serves 1 drink type?

Why could the Warden turn into a mecha-spider? Surely cybernetic upgrade programmes alone can't explain that.

The map showed 5 or 6 megacities and 1 desert. I'm pretty sure one city can't cover the equivalent of a third of the Midwest each.

There's no info about other countries' diplomatic relations to Eden. Surely Canada would have some diplomats and crises with Eden or something.

With various characters dead at this point, who's going to fill out the hero team if a S2 does get made? Ly the Fairy? Betilla? Globox? Ajay Ghale? TrackMania Car? There's very few options left.

Persona 5: Ramón's Comeback

I wasn't going to leave this post alone especially since I began playing Persona 5 Royal. Do know keeping up with multiple social links puts a dent in your wallet to make maxing them out easier. I'll delve into that later though as it's time expand on this concept.

Ramón appears in the world of Persona 5 after CLH Season 1 events come to a close and halfway through Kamoshida's Palace. For how he ends up there... You can say his heart cried out and something answer the call.

The Castle of Lust Palace definitely isn't a place Ramón wanted to wake up in. You can predict his reaction to what seems to be teenagers being constantly tortured or the obviously inappropriate decor. Thus the Phantom Thieves next infiltration turns into a run-in with a furious Ramón using real tommy guns on Shadows.

(For any oblivious Rayman fans, the action in Persona 5 takes place within the Metaverse. A realm of cognition where someone sees or thinks can become very real. Like realistic fake weapons being able to function similar to the real deal. Palaces are a dimension created when someone's heart becomes heavily distorted and their behavior turns very dangerous in the real world.)

Believing they could help each other, Ren/Joker convinces the Thingamajig to come with them. An arrangement that leads Ramón to join the Phantom Thieves. Since he doesn't have a Persona, the Limbless uses various gadgets to aim for Shadow weakpoints. Ramón's codename will be Enigma as that what he is. Now he has three reasons in why he joined the Phantom Thieves.

The first one is to keep the group from getting into a mess they can't get. Every member of the Phantom Thieves are children who are still trying to find their path in life. He also the only(non-Persona) adult that can help them out in both worlds without drawing a crowd.

The second is to find a way back to Eden. Even though this world's better than the dystopian nightmare he calls home, there are things Ramón has to do. He can't risk losing the only chance to fix Eden's corrupt society especially since his imposter is still on the loose.

The true reason however is redemption. Even if Ramón wasn't directly involved, his obliviousness to Eden's true nature had hurt so many innocent people. He CHOSE to look ignore the red flags and share their propaganda until Bullfrog showed him the ugly truth. If protecting these kids and changing the hearts of the corrupt is something he needs to do then Ramón accepts.

That doesn't mean the Thieves nor their Personas are gonna leave him alone. It isn't hard to see how broken Ramón is. Just like them, he is someone who also became an outcast to society and bears a tale just as tragic.

Thus Ramón gets dragged into so many shenanigans. Whether it be heavily dressed up to walk in public or passed around houses so he always has a roof under his head. Ramón does help which member he's staying with in some way. The Limbless is usually a tutor since Ann and Ryuji aren't the only ones who need help when it comes to their grades.

Sojiro does let him stay after he finds out about the group's identity although it took sometime to get used to Ramón's peculiar appearance. Can't forget a good chunk of older Ren/Joker's Confidants that get dragged in once he maxes them out. Ramón and Iwai would be a terror together though.

Also considering he's an adult, the man always gets dragged in more mature conversations with the team's Persona. Ramón absolutely butts heads with Carmen on multiple occasions and ain't afraid to call her a broad. She thinks its hilarious though thus teases the hell out of him.

Do not leave Ramón alone with Captain Kidd as those two probably have a drinking contest. The Limbless needs to work on handling his liquor healthily if his bad days are proof. And sailors love their booze.

Ramón is a sad drunk kind of guy to me. Thus Arseńe listens to his liquor fueled sorrows and tends to bring tea or water so the hangover isn't harsh. Any info about Ramón's life is heavily filtered since 'cow sushi' is a bit much for their minds.

Zorro makes sure the Limbless doesn't get in over his head. Ramón tends to be quite hotheaded and the Persona knows what trouble can come with unstable emotions. Someone had to keep Morgana out of trouble when it was just them.

The more he helps the group, Ramón will slowly grow alongside them. Forming bonds he never thought would happen and come to terms with his inner demons. It is only when Ramón learns to accept himself completely shall his own Persona emerge.

When it comes to the Arcana, he represents the Aeon Tarot. Fitting since the negative side to this is ignoring the truth and accept corruption like he done as Eden's newcaster. The more Ren/Joker strengthens his bond with the Thingamajig, he'll gain abilities which revolve around combat items alongside counter based techniques.

Ramón's Persona shall be the Almighty Element Augustus, specifically James Augustus Hickey the father of Indian Journalism. My personal take on what his entry could be.

'A pioneer of Indian journalism, James Augustus Hickey launched the Bengal Gazette from Calcutta in 1780. Augustus' writings commented on the inefficiency of the British administration in India. His newspapers served as watchdogs against those in power thus influencing contemporary thought and awoke civic consciousness among the people.'

Things are definitely gonna ramp up since Ramón will gain the abilities that his videogame persona acquired with every Palace he conquers. Our group of high schoolers are about to have a powerful and quite protective parental figure. Also if he could, you know Ramón definitely adopt certain thieves when those moments arrive.

So in the new Ubisoft captain laser hawk show, a crossover between Ubisoft ips, rayman’ sun it! But as a bad guy! 🤡 look I get it’s cool seeing him, but why turn the lovable goofball with a heart of gold, into a scummy propagandist reporter? It would’ve made more sense for him to be a good guy? It doesn’t even remotely fit his character and feels like they skinned him and gave it to this imposter that portrays himself as such.

tbh as i already said to the besties im divided in two here

on one hand it's fun that it's a big AU of various IPs, but it's odd that out of everyone they decided to go with rayman as the bad guy. i think there's going to be some twists and turns, explainations and all, perhaps some misleading maybe? who knows. but that part of me isn't particularly hyped for that

the caveman side of my brain however goes GOOD GUY IS EVIL NOW LETS GO LETS GO LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO so we'll see :^)

*Rayman has officially become Lucas’ guardian and much has changed at the apartment. Lucas now has his own room in Rayman’s apartment, the limbless having completely redecorated a room he was using as a storage room. The room had a snow and star theme to it. Murfy has given Lucas DVD's of Rayman’s shows that he had pirated. All of them from when Rayman was still hosting instead of the imposter that replaced him.

*Lately Rayman has been venturing out of the apartment a lot more often with Lucas in tow, sometimes feeling bold enough to go without having his hood up or glasses. Whenever he got approached, the two would put the ruse that Lucas was chosen as a special Rayman kid, and that Rayman wanted as little paparazzi attention as possible while he was with the kid. Live shows were less frequent lately. More prerecorded shows allow him to wander Eden without having to raise a panic of his firing and being replaced. They would sometimes bring Raymona with them as they bonded. Raymona and Rayman are now sharing their funds between each other since they’ve become a couple. She would often spend nights over at Rayman’s apartment too.

*Rayman and the rest of the apartment members still carry out assignments for Murfy and the resistance groups that contact him. Whenever Lucas would see Rayman with his hair brushed back and using his Ramon alias, he knew that he was going to have to stay home. It was too dangerous for Lucas to accompany them. Between work with the resistance, Raymona continued her work at the United of Eden club. She has been left alone by Hoyt and his men for the most part. Rayman would also do some odd jobs for Merideth by delivering food. She would also stop and visit them at the apartment from time to time and bring them some baked goods left over from the day as she visited her brother.

*Murfy had gotten in contact with two families that had knowledge of the type of powers Lucas had, through the families Lucas would make friends with their children. Bullfrog would often accompany the children. Lucas and Bullfrog sharing a strong bond as brothers, he would also look after Lucas’ friends for Rayman. The friends would be allowed to visit Rayman’s apartment and are aware of the limbless host being Lucas’ guardian.

*Today, Rayman is watching over Lucas, Bullfrog, and his friends while they visit the park. Rayman is relaxing on a bench as Lucas plays with his friends. Bullfrog is seated close by on the grass, keeping a watchful eye on them and monitoring for any threats that may enter the park.*

Been having some chats with friends and fellow roleplay partners lately about how I portray CLH Rayman/Ramon. Seeing a post from a fellow Captain Laserhawk fan earlier inspired me to make a post about how I portray the guy.

The way I write Ramon is that yes, he's got a bit of a gruff attitude and mostly wants to be left alone but if you put him around those he trusts, he tends to show a softer side. He's not afraid to be silly around his friend circles. He's even willing to let those he trusts call him by his name and won't correct him when they don't call him Ramon. Behind closed doors he is a colossal goofball and you can see some traits he shares with canonical Rayman. He allows his friends to tease him. He will take it in stride. (Unless you are Murfy, then he gets the newspaper and starts beating him with it after a certain point.)

Ramon adores kids still. If you put that man next to a little kid that shows they want to be friends with the guy, he melts! He'll spend so much time entertaining the kid before he has to head out. Always breaks his heart when they have to leave.

Put him with a romantic partner and he still goes head over heels for them like his canon counterpart and even when he was still a show host. He still keeps a lot of those goofy traits when you put him in a relationship. Giggle fits? Constantly getting heart or star eyes? Will literally go to pieces? Yes. He can be protective of his partner, but when you put him in a position where they are in trouble, he does a lot of crying and worrying over them. He also knows how to use puppy dog eyes against them and WILL use them.

Ramon is a lot weaker than his canonical counterpart due to losing most of his power after he fled Dimension X. The only power he's got left is his helicopter hair which he used frequently to escape dangerous situations. He cannot use his helicopter hair as effectively when his hair is slicked back, so he will flip it back into the tuft position to use it. His punch is as weak as when the Robot Pirates destroyed the heart of the world back in Rayman 2. He had to rely on the guns because he cannot throw a punch like he used to. He has to train to get that back. He can still lift quite a bit, but that does not compare to his weak punch.

He still has a few of the bad habits, but after a certain point, he tries to get them under control. He's smoking a lot less thanks to friends buying him either gum or hard candies to curb the cravings. He's not drinking as much and it takes a LOT for the guy to have a relapse. He doesn't drink anything stronger than wine, cans/bottles of beer, or champagne on special occasions. He's completely off the hard drugs.

Ramon loves music. Sometimes you'll hear him sing when he's doing household chores. When you put a guitar in his hand he will play for hours, especially when he's got a lot on his mind. He does have a tendency to get so lost in the playing that he won't realize his fingers are raw until you get him to stop playing. He'll then go hunt down an ice pack from the freezer.

He still loves food and sweets. He still eats quite a bit. Good way to snap him out of a slump is to get him some food. Going out of your way to either cook for him or get him some take out would mean the world for the guy. Getting him some sweets also brings a huge smile to his face.

The Ramon I wrote actually got away with killing the board of directors and rescuing Bullfrog. A lot of his work for the resistance is covered up by Eden because they don't want word getting out that an imposter/copy Rayman is running around. So they are trying to catch him quietly. Anyone coming forward to report his crimes are usually silenced or told "There is no imposter Rayman." If that news got out, it would not look good for Eden or the current replacement voice. Evidence is altered to remove any presence of Ramon or kept as vague as possible.

Despite his current record, there are some places within Eden that will allow him in and will even protect him while he's there. He's earned a number of favors from certain establishments or people within the city for helping them out.
