I am so glad the new kdramas are bringing back the specific brand of loser men. You know which brand I'm talking about. The Ahn "min min" Minhyuk brand of loser men and I'm loving it. The "I worship this goddess and I'm so in love with her and I can't believe I get to love her. Oh my gods I love her so much" brand of loser men. And we're being fed so well with lovely runner, love next door, no gain no love, my demon, Cinderella at 2am, Hierarchy, Midnight Romance in Hagwon, doctor slump, Queen of tears, welcome to samdal-ri and even good partner (yes it's one sided but the dedication and yuri's couple too).
We need more fictional loser men who worship women to satiate our eldest independent daughter desires.

STAR WARS RANT
Subject: REPRESENTATION ❤️
As an East Asian person, it is so refreshing to finally see an Asian Jedi in a leading role. How I’ve WAITED for this moment. Star Wars has taken loads of inspiration from Asian culture so it’s really nice to see actual Asian people in the franchise recently like Lee Jung Jae, Ming Na Wen, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee and Natasha Liu Bordizzo.
The Acolyte features a very diverse cast and it’s so wonderful to see people from different communities being represented and celebrated in such a huge franchise like Star Wars.
Also, I’m very much enjoying the show right now. It’s original, it’s expansive and it’s thought provoking. We’re finally getting an original tale, in an era which we’ve never seen before that is giving us a “why-dun it?” mystery. And the fan boys are mad about it??? Like what???
Lee Jung Jae is a legendary actor and I’m so glad he’s apart of Star Wars. This man has made me shed tears as Master Sol and I’m looking forward to the rest of the Acolyte series.
My uncle made a comment about how he can finally cosplay as an Asian Jedi cause he looks like Sol! Representation doesn’t stop at children, it extends to older adults as well.
In conclusion: to be represented in media, means you exist.
Representation allows us to see ourselves as heroes, villains and everything in between. Without representation, how could we ever dream of being more?

I just realized something!
When Sun-Jae and Tae-Sung get tipsy in EP11, the song they are drunkenly singing as they run down the corridor is the cringeworthy birthday song Sol sang for Tae-Sung!
Do you know what this means?!
Tae-Sung took the time to teach it to Sun-Jae and they then used Sol's name for the chorus! What a couple of dorks!
P. S. I'm now picturing present timeline Sun-Jae sulking after he recalls that song's backstory and then begging Sol to sing it to him, swapping Tae-Sung's name for his!

This one has to be my favorite for so many reasons, but primarily for the fact that it's so homie-coded, like both Hyeri and Wooseok seem to have found a great friend in each other. That's so difficult to find in the entertainment industry. Like the no BS bluntness they show when talking about the most random stuff? They remind me of some of my friends from long back, friends you could talk to for HOURS about the most bizarre, most random shit without worrying about your image and reputation. Bless their friendship :')

p.s. I love when people (especially public figures) actually seem to enjoy their food, so much that you can see them struggling to speak with their mouthful (ik some find it gross but unless it's actually gross it works for me lol).

I still can't stop thinking about Lovely Runner. And when I do, I can't stop crying. I find myself just bursting into tears whenever I have a moment to myself and I start thinking about it. I just miss it so terribly and it's only or already (depending on how you look at it) been 4 days. And I miss Sol, Sun Jae, Tae Sung, In Hyuk, and all the others so so much. I can barely look at them without crying sometimes.
I woke up feeling so depressed and empty today. How am I supposed to just go on with my life without them... :'( I know I'm being so dramatic but I can't help it. I really loved the ending and I'm so happy they (and we) got their happy ending, but I'm still not ready to say goodbye and let them go... :'(
I don't remember if I've ever felt this much and been this sad after a drama has ended before :'( I need to go rewatch all the cute and funny scenes again to hopefully stop feeling so depressed.

Baek Inhyuk Appreciation Post
I would like to take this moment to give a toast to Baek Inhyuk for watching his loser friend fall in love in every timeline but still supporting his loser antics with all the second hand embarrassment.
Things Baek Inhyuk has done till now to support his loser best friend Ryu Sunjae.
Made cherry blossoms fall from the sky.
Hauled his drunk ass from a bar with Taesong
Gave his friend the concept of "timing"
Watched him fuck up the timing and listen to him talk about how stunning Sol is. All. The. Time.
Wore many rings on his fingers
SANG AT SOL'S NEPHEW'S BIRTHDAY PARTY
TOLD HIS FRIEND TO SHUT TF UP AND KEEP A LID ON HIS LOSER ANTICS TO NOT FUCK UP THE PLAN
CAME WITH PETALS AGAIN ON THE BOAT
Picked up the petals because it wasn't the right time. (Sunjae ya I'll beat you up)
Watched Sol and Sunjae be lovey dovey all the time and stopped himself from upchuking the dude cause I would have.
Everyone say 'Thank you Inhyuk' for showing us what kind of best friend we need.
Edit: ALSO GOT BEAT UP BY RYU SUNJAE WITH A PILLOW AND STOPPED HIM FROM BEATING UP KIM TAESONG

the sad thing about lovely runner is no matter how close you get to a happy ending it is still tragic in some way with lives and loves left incomplete.
in the first timeline sol never gets to even partially fulfill her dreams due to her disability. she can never be a producer and she holds on to her life through her idol. sunjae has to let go of his love and act like nothing ever happened even though he is the person responsible for ruining her life while saving it, and he desperately tries to keep her alive again and again while he himself lives an emptly life which we can see he is sick of. hyunjoo and geum both end up alone, with geum having to give up acting to take care of the family. with sunjae dead, probably inhyuk too never gets to live his dream out fully and we never even hear of taesung.
in the timeline where they are the closest to being happy with eclipse formed, sol/sunjae and geum/hyunjoo together and sunjae & taesung & inhyuk friends, sunjae still dies.
even in the last timeline, with sunjae alive, our main trio have lived their lives hollowly: sunjae is bitter and irritable since he had no sol to soften him up or give him a purpose after his injury, sol lives 16 years more knowing she will never be with the person she loves the most, and poor taesung becomes basically destined to love sol the moment their paths cross but as the second male lead he is doomed to let sol cry sunjae's name drunk on his shoulder in every universe. the most he can do is save their lives and disappear, we don't actually know if he ever gets to be completely happy and even sol and sunjae start truly living when they are 35.
this is why the happy ending of lovely runner doesnt actually feel happy, no matter what they do they still have to sacrifice half a lifetime to finally live at last

I vote to give the watch to Tae Sung and In Hyuk. Been a fan of Tae Sung's quick wit and ability to quickly read a situation for a bit now but In Hyuk actually is a lot saner than I first thought. He is also quite perceptive but I guess his intelligence and ability to reason gets overshadowed by Sun Jae's absolute loserism when it comes to Sol.
Let those two handle it. They will make some wise choices to break this circle. This way we have two people acting with the best interests of both leads.
Tae Sung and Baek In Hyuk will singlehandedly double-handedly and voluntarily, free of cost, for the sake of their own sanity, take care of the taxi driver, fate, coincidence, universe, open plot lines. I am sure they are open to more suggestions for the list!
