New Official Trailer for Horror 'The Hollow Child' About a Scary Forest

"What are they?" "The hollow ones… They're watching." Vertical Entertainment has debuted an official US trailer for a horror film titled The Hollow Child, the feature directorial debut of Jeremy Lutter. Inspired a bit by a folklore tale about children-snatching trolls who secretly hide in the forest, the film is about a foster family that realizes something is wrong with one of them. A troubled foster teen, Samantha, works to expose a dangerous supernatural impostor in her new family and rescue her foster sister. The cast includes Jessica McLeod, Hannah Cheramy, John Emmet Tracy, Jana Mitsoula, Genevieve Buechner, Connor Stanhope, and Johannah Newmarch. This does look like a solid, very eerie forest horror. [Trailer] Follow THE HOLLOW CHILD Into The Woods

After making the rounds at various Film Festivals, The Hollow Child, directed by Jeremy Lutter, just released their new trailer! The films stars Jessica McLeod (Deathnote) and Hannah Cheramy (Colossal) in the story of a teen who fights to save her younger sister after she kidnapped by some very savvy supernatural beings. Catch the trailer, above.

Synopsis:

Samantha has lived her whole life in different foster homes. Now living in a small town, she never feels like she quite fits in, even with her own current foster family who might adopt her, or the boy who follows her around doing her classwork. So, it’s perhaps natural that she doesn’t know what to do with a curious tagalong little sister named Olivia. One day, Sam callously ditches Olivia, who wanders off into the woods on her own and disappears.

For three days police and panic set in on Sam’s home. And then, Olivia returns unscathed as if nothing happened. It seems like a miracle until Sam starts to notice strange new things about her younger sister. Things nobody else seems to notice. Too scared to speak out of place, she doesn’t know what to do until she starts to learn that this has happened before.

The Hollow Child stars Jessica Mcleod, Hannah Cheramy, John Emmet Tracy, Jana Mitsoula, Genevieve Beuchner, Connor Stanhope, and Johannah Newmarch.
