According to Jimin, he used this in his music video because he wanted:

"To show you a dynamic change. I thought we could go for something more daring so I proposed the idea and the director approved. Some people are saying this looks like a cheat sheet. It's poetry!"

If we look at the concepts in his album:

We can see that the circles of resonance are him. They are his thoughts, his words, his presence and these circles come from within the deep part of him. It's the part of Jimin that he hadn't exposed, perhaps a part that remain hidden and motionless for a while.

The circles expand and reach those around him and affect what is beyond him and transmit who he is. The circles are the effect of the water droplet impacting the surface. This is where the resonance is created and Jimin's voice is transmitted. Despite falls, pains, and obstacles, the waves continue although altered.

Rielke's poem is interesting because the growing rings can be seen as Jimin. Much like his concepts, this poem explains that he covers the surface of things and like the ripples a drop of water makes, Jimin extends out until he reaches the end and one day that last ripple will be unperceiveable.

The most interesting part of the poem is this:

"And I don't know yet: I'm a hawk, a storm

Or a big song."

These three things are all powerful in different ways. And Jimin doesn't know which one of those he is yet.

Pairing Set Me Free pt.2 with this poem was a great addition and it helped the viewer further understand the concept of circles of resonance.

This entire album was a quest for revealing his deepest wounds and telling his story. In a way, he states that he was in need of help but not asking for help since the only one who could help was himself, and he wanted show his determination in achieving liberty. He was claiming what was taken away.

Ya’ll. YA’LL! I am in shock right now. Honestly. I was so worried that Jimin would not be promoted as he deserved. Let’s be real…he often gets screwed. So for the company to come out so strong? I’m just beyond thrilled. I am sure that our Jimin marched right down the hall to the promotion folks and said, “LISTEN. Let’s all do our best, yeah?!” I’m so excited for Jimin and for US because we are going to get a full up roll out of Jimin Perfection.

i thought we're gonna to see jimin's face because of the album name, why do you think we didn't get it in this photo?

First, it's a mood photo. Meaning it's meant to convey an atmosphere, a feeling of sorts.

The fact we don't see Jimin's face is interesting.

First thing that crossed my mind when I saw the photo was that it might tie into the theme of tailor of chaos photo-folio and filter in the sense that it touches on the concept of perception.

Here, because we only see his back, we don't see a face, so almost like sending a message that he's not here to be projected on, or it can be the other way around, because he's "faceless", he always gets projected on and now he's turning to the light to reveal an unseen side of himself, more raw and mature, as he said in the weverse interview.

Which would make sense to the vulnerability aspect of the album -'Reflection of vulnerable minds and unexposed wounds'. Facing oneself, with your own mind. Perhaps it can also be Jimin want of being free from being projected on narratives or a certain "filter".

I might be completely wrong about this and it might be him leaving the past behind and walking into the light. Either way, it's fascinating.
