Jesus Christ I read a book about the KGB by John Barron which had a offhand mention of case officers sewing their notes into their notebooks every day which intrigued me but I can find nothing about it how they did it and why because all that Google will give me is ten thousand "how to make a notebook" tutorials shit out by some ai and the only useful thing I've found about it is a document titled "a note on KGB style" on the fucking CIA website which just confirms this is something which was done but now it just seems like it might be the source for Barron's claim which is really annoying because he's dead and I can find nothing on the author of the CIA document Wayne Lambridge who might simply be a pseudonym but Google says that certain result have been banned buy EU privacy law so it might just be that but it means I still don't know how they were doing this and I really want to know because I like to write my notes on loose paper and would love to sew it together later but I cannot find out how!!!!!

Scalise - Demonization of Trump. REALLY! This is more like Book of Eli = Trump.
What is this continuous talk of Demonization…??? And why….??? So many, MANY people continue to do this – day after day, week after week, year after year. PLEASE STOP…!!! It is all a waste of everyone’s time. Steve Scalise was on Fox this morning talking about the Left Demonizing Trump instead of Trump’s record of accomplishments while in office. And on top of it, Scalise brings in God being…

The Saint: The Scales of Justice (6.10, ITC, 1968)
"If an investigation is necessary - which it is not - it will be done by the police."
"That is the last thing we want."
"Why?"
"The publicity. Mr. Templar can work unofficially and discreetly."
"Since when has Mr. Templar been famous for keeping off the front page?"
#the saint#the scales of justice#1968#leslie charteris#robert holmes#robert asher#roger moore#jean marsh#andrew keir#mark burns#john barron#gillian lind#geoffrey chater#ronald leigh hunt#victor maddern#john boxer#brian badcoe#leon cortez#john crocker#edward harvey#clifford parrish#yes yes i know‚ i got distracted again. im so near the end but my attention keeps wandering to other things.. i mean 108 episodes in‚ can#you really blame me? per the Saint Steps In... documentary (which i haven't watched in full but what little I've seen of it is very very#interesting indeed) this episode was particularly singled out by Charteris in correspondence with the production team as evidence that the#series was losing its way and that the quality was dropping (one wonders if he'd seen The Ant One and what on earth he could have thought#of that...). actually im a little puzzled as to why this one offended him so much; it's a perfectly fine Saint ep‚ nothing special by any#means but completely inoffensive in terms of production‚ plotting‚ casting‚ writing etc etc etc. true the plot‚ in which the various#directors of some vague financial company get bumped off at regular intervals‚ feels closer to The Avengers than it does classic Saint#style‚ but it's nothing outrageously different (see Ant ep). and the cast is excellent‚ with Barron getting to play his usual unbearable#tycoon type and Jean Marsh actually getting to do some good fighting back as the damsel of the week. it's all pretty ok!

So I watched the Ms peregrine's home for peculiar children and a small idea struck me about how cool it'd be to have a crossover with Homestuck.
Like for instance let's say karkat was the main lead (he'd basically be the Jacob Portman here but different because yk ... Karkat.) And he went through the whole trial of finding the peculiar's home and boom all of sudden all these people with their magical powers and whatnots are showing him around.
I like to think maybe Ms peregrine would be one of the guardians like mom? Maybe? I mean or even the condense or some ancestor? (I'll figure it out.)
And and like instead of Ms peregrine using her peculiar power to turn back time so they stay in the loop it's actually Dave because time shenanigans. Then of course there's rose who can see into the future (she'd be one of the biggest helps with for seeing those slenderman lookin mfs.) (Maybe instead of those though, itd be a whole thing to fight off doc scratch?)
Anyways shenanigans would ensue, I'm thinking about turning sollux into twins that like are telepathic or smth idk. Could be cool, maybe. Ofc davekat would be involved because that's me shtick right now but yk. Id reckon John would still be a prankster and prolly like, use his windy powers to piss karkat off.

The “wet cement” image, from my previous post, here, painted by Craig Kelly, as it appears in the credits for “Little Go Beep,” with the list of animators, as well as an acknowledgment to the great Chuck Jones.

Dr. John (Ronnie Barron) - Did She Mention My Name? (1964)
A friend played this wonderful NOLA soul tune for me recently, and I found it hard to believe it was Dr. John.  That’s because it wasn’t Mac Rebennack singing, it was Ronnie Barron. Mac Rebennack had come up the the persona of Dr. John, the night tripper, and he wanted Ronnie Barron to play the role.  Ronnie wasn’t having it, and the rest is history.  Mac did write the song, and there’s a  record which credits Ronnie Barron though it’s a bit faster.

You don't want to write. You want to find an excuse not to, and I'll just be one more thing to blame if you don't.

First day of Cats 1998 Anniversary Celebration! I'm so happy! Today prompt: favourite actor.
And after first excitment I'm sad now. I don't have a fav! I don't know them personally, so I can't say "That one I like, that one don't". I love all of those wonderfull people, because they changed my life. Because of their hard, unusual work they together created somethin amazing, something... well, lifechanging. So, I want to say "Thank you! You are the best! I love you!" to all of them!

He Knows You're Alone (1980)
"Most people do, actually. I mean like to be scared, it's something primal, something basic. Horror movies and the roller coasters and the house of horror ride -"
"I wanna go on that next!"
"You can face death without any real fear of dying. It's safe. You can leave the movie or get off the ride with a vicarious thrill and the feeling that you just conquered death, one hell of a first class rush."
#he knows you're alone#slasher film#1980#american cinema#armand mastroianni#scott parker#caitlin o'heaney#don scardino#elizabeth kemp#tom rolfing#lewis arlt#patsy pease#james rebhorn#tom hanks#dana barron#joseph leon#paul gleason#john bottoms#brian byers#robin lamont#part of the explosion of slasher clones that flooded the market in the wake of Halloween's phenomenal success; this one in particular owes#a considerable debt to Carpenter's film‚ cribbing not just general plot shape but specific shots and a suspiciously similar soundtrack#idk this is an odd one. it's very slow and very concerned with character building over the usual sex and splatter‚ which is actually an#element i enjoy in my slashers. this one might go just a little too far in that direction tho‚ with a middle section that's more concerned#with our protagonist's doubts about her impending marriage and her lingering feelings for her ex boyfriend and with the murdering semi#forgotten. actually a bigger issue is probably our bad guy‚ a slasher villain with almost zero screen presence (and this despite being#clearly seen onscreen from the beginning of the movie). but there are things this film does very well indeed‚ including the opening scene#fake out (much imitated by later horror films including Scream 2) and some very tense stalkings and almost slashes. a patchy film that is#very nearly much better than it is but hey ho. also Lewis Arlt's cop? distractingly‚ shockingly hot. idk but my vision was impaired by my#heart eyes whenever he was onscreen. ymmv but it shouldn't‚ he should have been a super star‚ he's like Franco Nero and Al Pacino had a bb
