Unsung Hero John Lock
John Lock was in the choir room as much as the entire Glee cast! The Music Producer and New Directions drummer joins Jenna and Kevin with some fun Glee scoop, including how he got the gig after one email, being a 19-year-old on a hit show, why the band members were not allowed to speak or sing, and admitting he never got sheet music before an episode! Plus, John talks about DJing at Jenna's wedding and Naya Rivera's infamous Snixxmas Christmas parties … and the cast member who split his pants on the dance floor!

John lock is long overdue. I'm a musician and almost prefer looking at the band in the background during rewatches tbh. Love his positivity re the show, even though they were pushed under the rug and literally paid less. Kevin and Jenna could learn a thing or two.
I loved this episode. It was interesting to hear his story. And the feeling Glee left him with is happiness. He didn't have a contract, he was paid less, had long hours, didn't get any attention for his work and still "happiness". Maybe it's a personality thing. Some people focus on the positve things and others on the negative.

big fan of the locked tomb's version of the virgin mary. her first appearance is in a hazmat suit with a gun. her name is nineteen words. god's nickname for her references evanescence. her niece has blue hair and pronouns and several guns. she stole god's sperm. after she dies she fights a popular folk hero warrior from pluto. she and her newborn baby fell from space into a cult, a bit like a comet. she was planning to sacrifice the baby to open the locked tomb and start the apocalypse and kill god. she is not a virgin, and is bisexual. her skeleton is farming snow leeks to this day.

I just listened to the latest episode of and that's what you really missed on Glee.
John Lock was the drummer of the band in the choir room. He got an e-mail about a Fox tv show pilot casting musicians to act. John sent in a headshot and got cast without any audition.
They were told they were gonna be on set on camera miming back to a song. But they never got a script, just the pages for the day and had not idea what was happening.
They had no contract and got hired from episode to episode and it was usually 1 or 2 days work a week. They got cast through the musician union. That's why they were never allowed to move their mouth. They couldn't talk or sing, because that would have been considered acting.
Sometimes they got the music a day or two ahead, but other times he got the music in the morning and was listening to it in the car on his work over and over again.
What was the feeling Glee leaves you with? Pure happiness. Because he was so lucky to be apart of it. You just can't not think of those relationsuips, those hours, the inside jokes, the hard times, the long hours. He's so happy to be a part of it.
John said that the actors never made any of them feel like outsiders. It was always a warm environment in those rooms. The actors were always very welcoming to them and they alway felt like a part of the team.
