Thank you for being a constant in my life for the last few months, whether it’s by posting amazing art, writing moving and awe inspiring fics, reblogging anything and everything you enjoy or even just speaking out about your self, your thoughts or your feelings, I appreciate all of you.

Thank you for being my friend! I’m not the type of person who makes friends easily, and yet I have become friends with so many people on here since I joined in September + who have shown support when I needed it most. Even as I’m typing this out I’m moved to tears about how much of a positive impact you’ve all made to my life and I can’t thank you all enough!

Have a happy new year everyone and I hope it is better than the last for you! 💙🫂

It’s a Reader x Gender Neutral Significant Other and I have made the locations vague so you can all set your own scene

You had spent the night celebrating with friends, counting down to the new year. Now it was just the two of you, sitting together, and looking out over the horizon.

You had asked them earlier if they would stay awake with you to watch the first sunrise of the new year, they had agreed, now they sat at your side staring ahead, waiting for the first beams of sun light to peak over the horizon.

“Thank you for coming with me” you said as you stifled a yawn, you had been awake a long time now but you couldn’t sleep yet, this was something you’ve always wanted to do, and they knew it too, looking at you, they gave a warm smile

“Not long now, then we can get some sleep”

Mere moments after they said that, the sky started to shift colours, from the pale blues of early dawn to the bright orange that told you both that the sun was rising.

You felt an arm wrap around your shoulders as they pulled you close, placing a kiss on your cheek as you both watched the sun slowly appear, chasing away the last year and replacing it with a fresh start, you lean into each other and let the first sun of the new year wash over you. You hear in a low whisper.

“Happy new year my love”

I was encouraged and reminded by three great friends that social media is a scam and engagement doesn’t matter, and that making your art is speaking your own truth. So I wanted to share a poem I wrote a while back. I wrote it as the entry for a writing contest and I did not win, but I still really like this and I thought it was worth putting out there.

“Ambrosia over Darkness” By Meg

She left me. She left me, and with her went;

Her wickedness, her hatred, and her abuse. I should be happy, and yet; There I was, in the pit of Tartarus. All I knew was her, And without her, I was lost. I sat for years. I sat for years, trying to figure it out; How to go on, how to live, how to thrive. She was gone, I was stuck; Cemented in place, life passes me by. Tears fall at night,

They evaporate, and with them, my will to live. Then you appeared. Then you appeared, in all of your glory; Smiling, laughing, blinding me with your brilliance. You were here, and I was scared; But I took your hand, and you helped me.

Sweetness, golden, bringing smiles to the others lips. When one of us goes dark, the other pours our positivity;
