I think it's an unspoken cry. An unresolved sexual tension, a misplaced book on a perfect shelf…. You can't be living in desire, in platonic passion, in smut reverie…. Gale is out there… somewhere IRL and we need to find him. I propose a casting call to find the perfect Gale. Nah, I'm kidding. xD but my goodness that would have to be a very particular list now wouldn't it?

This person would certainly have to tick off a very particular set of boxes in order to be worthy of "Gale" status.

He would first and foremost need to be a gentleman. Kind, respectful. Not to mention he would need to be financially stable and responsible. He also needs to be a reliable and devoted partner, willing to learn and grow with you, never one to make you feel less than or unworthy. Especially in the bedroom, he would certainly need to be highly in-tune to your needs and desires, what makes you writhe with intense pleasure, what gives you comfort.

Also, while we all know our lizard brains are just built for physical attraction, he must find beauty in us no matter what we look like because beauty goes far and beyond the physical. Gimme that body worship, the praise. Lord I would melt personally. Of course, pleasure is a two-way street, and I know he would revel in receiving all the love and passion you have to give in return.

I think this goes without saying: He would have to be a man who respects your boundaries, and always defends you if he ever feels like yours are being threatened by someone else.

This man would also need to be very secure and in touch with his feelings, unafraid to express them, and share with you, and be equally willing to do the same for you.

Also...please. A man who can cook is perhaps the sexiest thing ever. Cooking a meal together, guiding each other's hands and sharing in the simple domestic moments that we take for granted, and make them something beyond the mundane. *pleaseee*.

These are very specific for me for many reasons, but I need someone who is romantic as hell, and playful. Again, this might be very personal to me, but I crave a mentally and emotionally validating/stimulating relationship before I desire physical intimacy. Well...sexual intimacy anyway. I do enjoy a gentle, reverent caress, a stolen kiss, a warm embrace...even cuddling, tangled together without any expectations of something more other than to just blissfully enjoy in the closeness of the other. Those are the moments worth fighting for imho.

I would be remiss if I didn't say that having longish, wavy hair, soul-crushing deep brown eyes, facial hair, and tattoos would be a HUGE selling point, but certainly not a requirement (we can't be too picky now I suppose).

Hopefully I haven't missed anything, but if a dashing, handsome gentleman with these lovely qualities portaled into my life I would probably become a puddle of goo.

Now if we could just get someone who is adept at Marketing and/or graphic design to make a poster or a tri-fold pamphlet with these qualities listed I think we could potentially be on to something, don't you think??

isabeau makes up new sonas fairly often, though they're mostly various species of dogs. post-canon he's a border collie! smart, affectionate herding dog with a high contrast fur pattern.

siffrin asks the others for suggestions, and odile assigns him fennec fox (as she's mentioned in canon) and everyone else enthusiastically agrees. lil wild thing!

Kinda weird question- do you have any links to people talking about Mira from ZTD and ableist stereotypes? I mentioned that I was uncomfortable with her portrayal but kinda fumbled it and made some other ND people in chat uncomfortable. I searched for various keyword combinations but most of what I'm finding is like "and not to mention the ableism with Mira" and doesn't elaborate lol.

Not weird at all! And uh, you see, there's a recent post I made where what I complain about is the very fact I've never seen anyone post too in-depth about her at all, I'd love to see posts that do elaborate on that but I do not have any that I know of right now, sorry :/ hopefully someone else who sees this can point to one? Okay!! After some tag searches I have found exactly one post who kind of gets into it I like this take still would love to see. more than just one but hooray

And like though I complain I couldn't elaborate much on it myself I don't think, I believe most of the posts people make about Saito from aitsf would apply since it's a different uchikoshi take on the very same trope of "emotionless characters who cannot function without killing others" I guess he's a worse portrayal though since she's at least not stated to get reward brain chemicals when killing people and I guess her case also has the added layer of "femme fatale" to it? Which either makes it less bad or worse depending on where you approach it from As I said I am not doing a good job of being coherent on this oh and also there's her being "redeemed" and "cured" in the epilogue which in on itself is kinda not great to imply it just goes away like that and honestly I personally don't even buy it I think she'd just be like oh okay Akane over here has like a thousand reasons to hate me after all that oh and what's that she's the leader of a super wealthy underground organization who's organized one of these death traps before yeah no I'm better off going to prison I'll be fine there lmao bye

But I'll say as an autistic person with relatively low empathy I usually see a character who just doesn't understand other people's feelings and wants to feel them too and is just trying to survive despite getting no help and I just kinda go hm. yeah. shout-out to roxas kingdom hearts shout out to mary from ib shout out that's why I started hyperfixating on media art helps me with understanding others a great lot and Mira is just in a story too badly executed for me to care or even begin to wrap my head around tbh like god she's so fucking terribly used as a plot device in every conceivable way that it makes it difficult to see past it and into what she could possibly be if it weren't for the stereotype of equalling low empathy with no compassion what's with her killing off screen in ways that wildly deviate from her stated m.o? why or how was she even in cahoots with Zero why was that a thing? Honestly her dynamic with Sean could have been better fleshed out could have done something interesting about robot child and his aspd big sis but we just kind of don't get any attention brought to the subject of emotions and the authenticity there of except for the "reveal"...

YOU KNOW WHAT that's probably one huge reason it feels so fucked up actually! Like the whole fucking game is written so you could experience it in whatever order you want and therefore Mira being a serial killer at all is something that though not very well hidden it also cannot be a topic of discussion or explored Ever ever because the player may not have seen the fragment where that is revealed yet- problem being the menu design of that game sucks so bad and practically everyone gravitates towards the same few more interesting looking thumbnails first and then the rest is kinda just there, I mean that is part of the reason A Lot of characters feel half-baked I think but also I think it definitely does impact perception of her character specifically probably The Most and then there's just the general not being given nuance not being able to see the minutiae of how that disorder manifests in her character aside from the killings about how she acts aside from being overly flirty trying to lure in Eric but that affects pretty much all of the new cast we don't have last names and in her case we barely have any backstory at all like Saito is a harmful stereotype sure but we get So Much Context for him that people still love talking about him and delving into different aspects of his life since we have that very well telegraphed in the narrative meanwhile for Mira all we can do is fill in the blanks guesswork that only highlights the worst aspects of the surface level portrayal we got and ultimately that people just don't care enough to dissect because there isn't much there character wise once you remove it

Like they're both in competition with each other to finish school first to rub it in each others face that they got their ship and crew first. And fast forward when they finally got their crew they find time to sabotage each others mission.

you and reiner are constantly neck-and-neck, trying to one-up the other like a bad, unbreakable habit. it often led other cadets to believe there’s some sort of… romantic tension brewing, underneath all the bragging and contempt.

You round the corner of the halls of Astro Corp, making sure to approach Reiner just as he leaves his Engineering class. Your eyes rake across his tall, brawny form. That deliciously fitting, navy-colored space force uniform hugs his biceps in the rightest of ways; not that you’d ever openly admit it.

Your shoulder intentionally bumps at him. “It’s you.” He scoffs. That’s just yours and Reiner’s unique form of greeting. His sideways smile, surrounded by neat blonde stubble, looks as teasing as ever. It’s hard to distinguish whether it comes from a sense of rivalry or admiration.

“I completed my Astronaut Candidate Program.” you make sure that your tone is jabbing as you announce it. That proud grin of yours is enough to make his heart double over.

“Oh?” Reiner prods his tongue at his inner cheek. The cunning blonde grins, like he knows something you don’t— like he’s playing along. “Did you, now?”

“Mhm. I’m even part of the crew for the next expedition. Don’t miss me too much when I’m gone.” To that, he laughs. It’s low and borderline mocking. You hate just how much you love the sound.

“What’s funny?” You click your teeth. He regains himself, head shaking. “Please,” he cocks his head slightly to the left, a mannerism you noticed in him since your early cadet days. “Guess who’ll be leading the crew.”

Your mouth goes agape. His cocky little grin is annoyingly attractive. “It can’t be— it’s you?” He always found a way to counter any achievement of yours. Of course, you always found a way to do it right back. A never-ending cycle.

“Guess we’re both goin’ places,” Reiner sighs. “I just wonder,” He leans in, closer until you can see the specks of green in his golden irises. “How many accomplishments can I rub in your pretty little face before graduation?”

He knows just how to fluster you. Your heart picks up and you can’t get it to relax. But to your delight and his dismay, you don’t openly lose composure. All he gets is the roll of your eyes as response. “Oh, screw you, Braun.” you seethe, but it’s playful. “You’re too busy trying to flirt with me to get anything done.”

That surely pulls a reaction from him. He begins to deny with snark, and you retaliate. This happens all the time, but you and him never tire of it. You’re beautifully menacing to each others in your own special little ways.

How do you feel about Lookism? I have been currently reading it and it is good so far! It is ending soon though.

I used to be a huge Lookism fan a few years ago! My brothers had to convince me to read it because I couldn't get past the unpleasant early art style the first few times. But once I started, I couldn't stop. Daniel was such an interesting protagonist, the cast was funny, the plot was intriguing, and everything was so heartfelt. I even cried a few times.

However, I decided to quit reading after the Hostel arc. My favorite part of Lookism were the character centric stories, like Jay donating things because it'd make Daniel happy, Zack and Mirae taking care of the lost baby, and Zoey growing out of her materialism and getting to like Little Daniel for who he was. I even enjoyed Goo coming from the woodwork to fight for younger Vasco! I really liked Gun and Goo.

The Hostel arc with Eli, Oli, and the fam was emotional as well, but I had to bow out because Oli's death took a toll on the lightheartedness of the story and it became clear to me PTJ was taking the webtoon in a gang-oriented direction I simply wasn't interested in.

I just wanted to see Daniel overcome his bullies, make new friends, and figure out where the second body came from. I still occasionally check to see if any of my interests have been resolved, but I usually get upset seeing all the insane, and frankly, inhuman fights between the alleged teenagers in that series. Sometimes I don't mind genre swaps midseries, but yeah, someone hit me up when DG or the chairman finally tell us where the second body came from.

You've found that you have a much easier time writing expressions than you do reading them. This is, of course, because memory likes to dramatize them. A smile is much more solid in your mind's eye than it might be on a face.

Mirabelle is fretting over something. This much is obvious. She's rocking back and forth on her heels, biting her thumb nail, clearly lost in thought. Her expression is furrowed and her large eyes clouded with worry.

Really, it's very easy to tell with her.

"Mirabelle, dear!" You stalk over to her, placing a hand softly on her shoulder.

She jolts out of her trance, hand flying to her rapier, "WAA!? Conifleur??? Sir?"

You smile, "The one and only!"

"You scared me!"

"I noticed." You hum, slipping your hand off of her and moving to face her properly, "You certainly seemed lost in thought."

"Oh, um... It was nothing, really!!"

"Ahh... I don't quite buy that, Love." You tell her simply, "I could hear the gears in your head turning all the way from camp. What's on your mind, Miss. Mirabelle?"

She holds her hands to her chest, almost as if in prayer. You do it differently in Poteria but you've lived here long enough to recognize the gesture, now. Mirabelle won't quite look at you. That's more than alright! You have time before you have to return to camp.

"We're getting close to the fourth orb. And the curse is spreading faster than ever. If we're not careful... one of us could...." She trails off.

"We won't." You tell her, with much more confidence than you really have, "All of us are determined to see this through, Dear."

"But!-"

"Ah!" You put a finger to her lip. "No buts! What kind of story would it be if the heroes lost?"

but yeah wrio and i celebrated my birthday very small and privately, very intimately and it was great 🥹 he prepared a little spa day for me in our home so he prepared a hearty meal for me and we had a romantic dinner and then we took a romantic bath together with champagne and chocolates and strawberries, a lot of candles. you know the drill. he also got me a few gifts which some of them were gorgeous jewelry and others were more meaningful gifts full of memories and promises
