Small PSA because I see it so often:

DON'T LET KÖNIG USE "MEINE LIEBE" AS A TERM OF ENDEARMENT.

I am German, not Austrian so maybe regional differences bring a different context to this, but whenever I read "meine Liebe" it does not translate to "my love" which I assume is the intention, but more as the female version of "my lovely" which is rarely ever used outside of condescension.

Since it is gendered female it is especially jarring when it is said to gn!reader, m!reader or male canon characters. But in general it does not really work in a loving or romantic context so I would recommend looking for alternatives.

A personal fav of mine being "(mein) Liebling" which is considered gender neutral and translates to darling, but I personally think the German version still carries the fondness that "my love" indicates.

Of course if other German speakers want to add something or completely disagree with my point I'd love to hear more perspectives on it, since I know these things are incredibly subjective.

And yes, technically the literal translation of "my love" is "meine Liebe" so it is a very understandable mistake to make, just keep in mind it might not come across the way you intend.
