Something I'm noticing thus far in my watch of Tokyo Ghoul:re (I'm on episode 13) is that they keep removing scenes (many of which are rather important or, at least, iconic) that feature breasts or the allusion to them? This also tends to coincide with them not clueing the audience in when a character is trans or gender nonconforming.

I noticed it first with Mutsuki in the taxi with Torso. From what I noticed, we don't have the reveal of his binder. Firstly, this means that we don't get to see that moment where Toros's obsession really begins. Secondly, we don't know that Mutuski's trans. Why?

Something similar is done with Kanae. We get an idea of what their whole deal is in the moment when Tsukiyama calls them Karren, but before then, in the anime, it's all pretty ambiguous. Whereas, in the manga, we get the more fleshed-out flash backs and that iconic scene where Eto is sewing Kanae up.

They also make Eto's bandages way tighter on her which is fair but also just...odd. There was something chaotic with how they were in the manga.

When it comes to trans and gender nonconforming characters not really being evident in the anime there's also the situation with Big Madam where they removed Suzuya misgendering her (which is a win, I suppose) but that also means that anime-only watchers have no idea! And it's kinda relevant! Not so much as the Mutuski and Kanae, but still relevant.
