house of anubis as cocktails; sincerely, a bartender
nina: margarita (will order a margarita tower) (either original, mango, or strawberry)
fabian: old fashioned, knowledgeable about whiskey but prefers rye. will talk with the bartender for hours about the history of blah blah.... blah... bla....
amber: a cosmopolitan with a specific vodka. she likes feeling fancy whilst being a tad particular. plus it's pink!
alfie: orders a cosmo to be cool, but really just wants a vodka cran. really just there for the party.
mick: "do you have a normal beer list?" he says in a craft brewery.
jerome: orders the most expensive scotch to impress someone; he does not enjoy it, but pretends to.
eddie: orders the most expensive gin and tonic to impress patricia; he's never had alcohol in his life.
patricia: rum and coke, she makes fun of eddie's $34 gin and tonic. pretends to hate clubbing.
joy: manhattan or black manhattan, served up with three cherries. and specifically that way. or there will be consequences.
kt: lemon drop martini, salt rim. only cocktail she will have that isn't a margarita tower with nina. only goes out with the promise is dancing.
mara: sensible glass or red or white. always dry. a sauvignon blanc/vinho verde for whites, or pinot noir/sonoma valley cab sav. she does her budget plan at a quiet bar on thursdays.

📓 all I love songs n lyrics associated w ocs !!
The questions
OK SO- >:D
I tried to find songs that are only related to one of the characters but that would be boring and what you did, describing what you see when listening to the songs was way more fun to look through so here we go!
Saint Bernard by Lincoln - The Dragon Revived going on about his death and the owner~
Спова by Ferry - Skyler and Henryk's dynamic
KT's official Guide to Coolness by Ferry - Skyler who just like KT (the brown haired girl in the MV) is trying really hard to fit in this whole new world (The Advena City) that unravels before him ✨️
Angel with a shotgun by The Cab - Violet Sky (as in, Tom X Skyler) either of them could be the one singing but it matches the plot more when it's Sky!
Rät by Penelope Scott - Henryk, about Advena's higher ups, mostly about Matylda
Freaks by Surf Curse - Tom being sick of his exile out of The Advena City
Like A Dog by Ferry - The reason for the mains' (especially Skyler's) fear of Snails (spoilers :) )
Ain't it fun by Paramore - Camille finding the outside of Advena's walls, where they're out of their siblings guard, more fun than the Advena City itself
Faulty Feline Philosophy by Ferry (again) - The Cat Revived (aka Karo's Revived). Just in general, throughout their life after death. (Ik I don't usually talk much about her-)
Blood // Water by grandson - The Dragon Revived to Weronika Strzelec (Matylda's mother) (and in case ur asking, yes, I'm litterally Polishing the entire Strzelec family-)
Skrzydlate Ręce by Enej - Tom wishing he had a revived or basically any kind of power and then him actually getting it by the end
Summer nights by SIAMES - Karo and Charlotte making the best they can out of their time in Advena
Boy in the Bubble by Alec Benjamin - Raphael in S3 accidentally going against his morals :) (spoilers)
Open up your eyes by Emily Blunt and Daniel Ingram (I think?) - Matylda as she visits Karo at the beginning of S4 when Advenians finally get a reason to imprison her. She comes to offer a deal to break her out... and some life lessons.
Aaand those are the most accurate ones where I don't have to pretend like half of the lyrics are something else to fit the story 🙃👍

Writing Patterns
Thanks for the double tag @randomfoggytiger and @tofuttim 🫶🫶
Rules: list the first line of your last 10 (posted) fics and see if there's a pattern!
Moments (this is a series of individual ficlets so I'm gonna go with the first sentence of the most recently posted installment)
“It’s really not that complicated, Scully.” She sighed and leaned her head back against his couch, using the movement primarily as an excuse to not have to look directly at him. “But Mulder, what you’re proposing… there’s no telling what effect it will have on our friendship.”
2. Driftwood Lullaby
The wind howled as the rain rattled against the windows, raising an incredible racket and making sleep impossible.
3. Secret Ingredient
“Careful.” Pike’s arm looped around Janeway’s shoulders to steady her knife-holding hand. His breath tickled the top of her head as he spoke. “You want to chop the celery, not your fingers.”
4. Revenant
Scully was absolutely, devastatingly certain she couldn’t experience a worse waking nightmare than finding Mulder dead. Then he came back to life.
5. Sweet Kisses
It was him, right? It had to be. Agent Scully is already in love. Who else could Padgett have been talking about?
7. A Most Owlish Conundrum
“Hey, Scully?” “Hmm?” “How many owls would you need to see in a day before you would think something is wrong?”
8. Beyond Antares
I pull up to the bar right as it’s closing, watching all of the drunken customers stagger out. There’s always a risk to your upholstery— not to mention your sense of smell— when you let someone who’s had too much to drink into your cab, but the entertainment they provide is usually worth it.
9. I Had A Feeling
“Can you sense anything, Counselor?” O’Brien asked her. Troi took a deep breath as she turned her senses inward before expanding her mind outward through the psionic null space that surrounded them, searching for the small yet bright thought-sparks that constituted her crewmates.
10. Eight Nights (another ficlet series so I'm going with the last and most recently posted one for this)
Mulder couldn’t explain it. When he saw the light in the sky, something inside him just said here, this is the place.
Tagging (sorry in advance for any double tags hehe😅) @keldabe-kriff @katy-kt-katie @suitablyaggrieved @mollybecameanengineer @virtie333 @skelavender @doctorbeverlycrusher @welsharcher @catharsisxf @living-in-unreality

11 and 12 for the ask game!
11. Do you have specific playlists for writing fics?
I used to! And then I had children and I'm often writing on my phone while trying to get kids to sleep, which usually means I have white noise playing - like the sound of ocean waves or the rain. Which actually does help in that it blocks out external sounds.
The other challenge I have is that I can't listen to songs with lyrics while writing. I love to sing and I will just sing the whole time, and I can't process singing lyrics and writing down different words than what I'm singing. My favorite genres of instrumentals is anything on stringed instruments and metal. You get a full on orchestra playing WITH someone on an electric guitar and I am SO HAPPY!!!
What ends up working really well for this - video game music!! Some of my favorite game soundtracks: Assassin's Creed (the second one is the best) Final Fantasy (love love love Umaro XP's remixes) Chrono Trigger (amazing game with amazing music) FZero MegaMan3 Metal Gear Legend of Zelda Some of my favorite artists/musicians: Lindsey Stirling (Specifically Artemis album) David Garrett Taylor Davis District 78 Escala Overclocked Remix (is not an artist. The music equivalent of a fanfiction archive but fanmade remixes of video game tracks). Favorite artists/musicians when not writing: Lindsey Stirling (specifically the Brave Enough album) Avril Lavigne Black Veil Brides The Cab Evanescence Fall Out Boy Five Finger Death Punch KT Tunstall Also pretty happy with just a straight up Disney playlist, especially with kids around. The nursery rhymes she wants to sing or listen to are not always engaging for me. I also have a bunch of choral music (Carmina Burana, Verdi's Requiem, etc), but I think I like these pieces because I actually performed them. I try to listen to the genre without it being something I performed and I can't get into it! 12. Do you have a playlist for your current WIP(s)? Share it
No, but the bank was playing Lost in Love by Air Supply today and it's been stuck in my head all day and I was thinking it was actually a pretty good love square song. ^_^
...
So I got this ask and I was like, I don't listen to music very often anymore and that's sad for reasons stated above, but I still have writing playlists on my phone! So this was me exploring that and rediscovering a lot of these. So this was a lot of fun!! I probably went overboard after thinking I didn't have much to say. Haha! Hope you enjoy!!

Do you have any deleted excerpts from any of your fanfictions? Like things that didn’t make it in that you already wrote
okay i was waiting for ages to answer this ask until i actually had something that i fully had to delete as opposed to just rework! this is a scene from the upcoming chapter of two is company that i had to scrap, because i realized the scenario i was setting up with this encounter simply made no sense for how i wanted it to go, but yeah:
After about two minutes of running, she whipped around the bend in the path that lead toward school and collided head on with someone running the opposite direction. She and her assailant were knocked to the ground with twin grunts, and when Kira managed to scramble back to her feet, she nearly wept in relief. “KT!” she gasped, throwing herself back down so she could embrace her stunned girlfriend. “Oh my god, I was so worried! Where were you?”
“You called me!” KT exclaimed, clutching at her like a lifeline. “I was waiting for a cab when you called screaming about Frobisher! You and Fabian!” She looked around. “Where’s Fabian?”
“Still there!” she explained in a rush. “Frobisher claims he’s broken the curse, but it’s killing him. I was sent to get help, but I’m so scared, KT, what if it’s a trick?”
“Hey, hey, it’s okay!” she soothed. “Fabian’s a smart boy; he won’t do anything rash.”
“I- I’m sorry,” Kira said suddenly, her voice catching. “I should have stood by you, I should have listened when you said it was Patricia.”
KT shook her head. “We don’t have time for that now, okay? All is forgiven. Go back and hold the fort with Fabian; I’ll get help.”
“Eddie won’t believe you,” she said. “He doesn’t know; we didn’t get a chance to tell him.”

The Kids' Music Tastes, In My Verse.
Adrian Forman: Loves Alien Ant Farm, Papa Roach, Daft Punk, and Linkin Park. The kids make fun of him for liking Coldplay, until "Viva La Vida" comes out and James likes it. Is introduced to old school jazz via the Fallout series, and definitely takes a liking to it.
Ashley Tate: Is a huge fan of The Cheetah Girls, Destiny's Child, B2K, Usher, Christina Milian, Ciara, and Ashanti as a tween/in her early teens. As an older teen, she loves Ne Yo, Rihanna, Jazmine Sullivan, and Chris Brown (until he shows his true colors). Is the biggest Beyonce stan you will ever meet.
Becca Hyde: Is the biggest Zeppelin fan out of the kids, and is also a big fan of Blondie, Heart, and Fleetwood Mac. Loves 90s grunge, like Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Smashing Pumpkins, and other 90s staples like No Doubt, Alanis Morissette, and Garbage. Loves "quirky" pop like Billie Eilish, Lorde, Marina and the Diamonds, Lana Del Rey, Lily Allen, and The Veronicas.
Betsy Kelso: Loves Pink Floyd, The Doors, and AC/DC. Was a big fan of New Kids on the Block as a kid. She still likes REM, the Barenaked Ladies, and Smash Mouth.
Hannah Kelso: Was a huge Backstreet Boys fan as a tween, and liked(s) One Direction as an adult. Is the devout Swiftie of the group, and loves country music, too.
James Hyde: A big fan of The Black Keys, Muse, Queens of the Stone Age, Eminem, Fort Minor, Gorillaz, Arctic Monkeys, Hozier, and The Killers. Gets Leah to like The 1975, and Leah gets him to like Franz Ferdinand. He has a soft spot for Mumford and Sons and Of Monsters and Men, but he can't get into The Lumineers and Bleachers (*stares at Leah*).
In terms of older stuff, he's a big fan of Zeppelin, The Stones, The Who, The Doors, The Eagles, Steely Dan, and the Allman Brothers Band. He has a soft spot for Elton John and James Taylor. Isn't a fan of the harder stuff, like Jethro Tull, the Ramones, and the Sex Pistols, amongst others.
Kate Forman: Has a mix of her mother's love for singer/songwriter stuff and her father's love for soft rock.
Old stuff: Simon and Garfunkel, Carole King, James Taylor, Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Bread, America, Elton John, Wings, and The Beatles.
Newer stuff: Adele, Lewis Capaldi, Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Five for Fighting, Coldplay, Sara Bareilles, Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Sixpence None The Richer, Norah Jones, Michelle Branch, KT Tunstall, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Vanessa Carlton. Has a soft spot for Natasha Bedingfield.
Leah Forman: Is a huge Parawhore. Also loves Panic at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, The Cab, Vampire Weekend, MGMT, The All American Rejects, Franz Ferdinand, and Blink 182. Loved Avril Lavigne and Pink, before they sold out, around 07/08. She has loved The Beatles, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Weezer, and Green Day since she was little. Also enjoys Muse and The Killers.
Later on, she's a fan of Neon Trees, Bleachers, The Lumineers, Of Monsters and Men, Two Door Cinema Club, Walk the Moon, and Mumford and Sons.

Death Cab For Cutie and Postal Service at the Greek Theatre (plus the Beths!)
I think my musical taste ossified in 2002. During my time in Berkeley, I think I was a pretty adventurous listener. But by 2002, I had left Berkeley both personally and professionally, I no longer had roommates, and I started a huge project to rip all the CDs that I owned as well as those owned by my new girlfriend/future wife. I wasn’t driving much, so radio time was limited, and I was not exposed to other people’s music collections – save for my wife’s country and boy-band forward assortment – and I doubled down on the music that I already owned.
At the time, Sleater Kinney was by far my favorite band. Even though they stopped producing new music for almost a decade, they remained my favorite until I discovered the Civil Wars, which imploded soon thereafter. And the position of favorite band remained empty ever since.
During these arid years, I missed a lot, including the rise of both Death Cab for Cutie and Postal Service. While I was aware of Death Cab – as I bought a copy of Soul Meets Body from iTunes at some point – I had never heard of Postal Service until I started considering buying tickets to this concert. I was didn’t know a lick of either of the 20-year old albums to be revisited at the show.
So I walked into the Greek Theatre with a much different mindset from everyone else. The packed crowd hung on every song from both of Ben Gibbard’s legendary bands, experienced ecstasy from the opening licks of favorite song that was the soundtrack to loves, breakups, or hang-out sessions from their youth. Meanwhile, I got to hear both albums for the first time, taking my joy not from memory, but from discovery.
Gibbard was a revelation. Twitchy, thoroughly engaged in the moment, and extremely talented, Gibbard owned the stage for 2 ½ hours. A stark counterpoint to the dull stillness I experienced at the Psychedelic Furs concert days before, Gibbard constantly prowled the stage, creating touch points with every member of both bands, even taking over as drummer for a few songs during the Postal Service set.
Dressed in all black for their set as Death Cab for Cutie, the band celebrated the 20th anniversary of their Transatlanticiscm album. It turns out that I knew one song from the album, Sounds of Settling, which I suspect I heard a lot from one of those Tap Tap games that used to be so prevalent on the iPhone 15 years ago. But Title and Registration was my hands down winner for the evening, as the guitar hook was both new and nostalgically familiar at the same time. On the whole, I enjoyed the set, but found the up and down, fast and slow alternations of the album made it hard to get into a pure groove to enjoy the music at its fullest.
After a short break, the band returned dressed all in white to finish their set as Postal Service, celebrating 20 years of Give Up. And it was with Postal Service that I was able to fully meld with the show, as I found that album to provide a much more cohesive, consistent flow for a concert. Even better, they closed their set with a cover of Depeche Mode’s Enjoy The Silence, an all time personal favorite and my new favorite closing song of all time.
If have found the Year of Concert has, every so slightly, started expanding my music tastes once again around the edges. Most of the acts I attend are ancient, but there have been a laundry list of largely unfamiliar opening acts that I have quite enjoyed – Chuck Prophet, KT Tunstall, and David Luning in particular. In that vein, I want to give a special shout out to the opening act for the evening, a band called The Beths from New Zealand. Their 7-song set was an absolute revelation, firing the audience up appropriately to enjoy the rest of the amazing evening.
I am sure that most people walked out of the Greek Theatre that night, awash in nostalgia for their music heyday 20 years ago. On the other hand, amazingly, I found in the Beths, a new candidate to fill the long dormant favorite band slot in my life. Time will tell, but I think we have an unexpected winner.

Top 5 jodhpur food :
Today i will tell you about top 5 jodhpur food. Which you have to test.
Dal Baati :

The baati is a hard bread made with coarse whole wheat flour, semolina, ghee, besan and prepared with fennel seeds and carom seeds. Baatis can be cooked or ready. The start of baati goes way back to Rawal organisation where the warriors would make pieces of blend and cover them under the sand and after they would return back from the contention the baatis would be absolutely and good to go. Baati transformed into a prestigious struggle time feast. A while later, then the mix of dal baati ended up being particularly notable.A platter of semi-sweet Churma, hot Dal and seared Baati, is one such standard Rajasthani dal baati churma mix.
New baatis choked in very hot dal is an optimal reinforcement for churma. Considering water deficiency and climatic conditions, different methods for cooking are used. Rajasthani cooking has dishes that can be prepared and taken care of for a seriously lengthy timespan! Dal baati is one of the essential dishes of Rajasthani cooking, the dish for which the food is known for.you should test it with help of jodhpur cab service.
Gatte and its flavours :
Another item that is a must-have is Gatte ki sabzi. Back in the day, leafy and green vegetables was not easily available in Rajasthan, but people used to compensate with lots of grains, pulses and spices. So they made the best out of the available resources and came up with Gatte ki sabzi. In the book 'A Historical dictionary of Indian Food’, food historian KT Achaya writes, "Moong and besan flour form the foundation of numerous crisp, fried savouries like the mangodi, gatti, papadi and methi.” He even states, "Many vegetables are sun dried throughout the year before being used as gattey.” Women in Rajasthan used to make gatte in advance and store them for future use. Prepared with gram flour and dry masalas, the gatte is steamed and cut into bite-sized portions. In simple words, they are gram flour dumplings that are simmered in a rich yoghurt or buttermilk-based gravy. Truly unique, isn’t it? You test it than you like it you should go with taxi service jodhpur.
Laal mass :
Through trial and error, the cook raised the power of the dish with spilling over proportions of Mathania chillies and likewise laal maas was imagined. Today, with hunting disallowed in many bits of India, the dish is made with goat meat, but the trimmings stay clear and extremely hot. All through the long haul, the dish has similarly moved from glorious kitchens to extra unpretentious homes and it can now be found on the menu of various restaurants in India and abroad.Today, Mathania chillies are hot, yet won't kill your taste or make you numb. In any case, you will end up cleaning your sanctuary, Bits of hearsay have spread all over recommending that laal maas seemed when a ruler from Mewar excused the deer meat that was prepared with just garlic and yoghourt, which didn't eliminate solid areas for the fragrance.by far most know laal maas as a hot sheep curry from Rajasthan, but the hidden variation of the dish was made with meat from wild hoard, deer or wild fowl.
 Ker sangri :
One of the most popular Rajasthani dishes, ker is a wild berry that is tangy and peppery while sangri is a type of long bean grown abundantly in the desert areas of Jaisalmer and Barmer. Sangri, on the other hand, are bean-like units of the khejri tree The villagers took these vegetables home and due to the scarcity of water cooked them in vegetable oil with spices. It is tart in taste, which similarly makes it an optimal component for pickles. They ate this wonderful concoction with their bajra rotis. Today they cook it with buttermilk or water. Sangri is a mainstay during drought, when little else is available as it is 53% protein. Legend has it that long ago there was a famine in Rajasthan and the villagers found these two vegetables when all other vegetation had withered away.Ker sangri, a regular Rajasthani dish made of secretly gotten trimmings, is perfectly fit to the State's completely dry climate. Each year, when I got back to school in Delhi after the pre-summer journeys, I would find my sidekicks remaining energetically for their main dish from my home State, Rajasthan, ker sangri ki sabji. Since it doesn't get spoiled successfully, I could convey it on my transient train adventure. Come mid-day break, my partners would eat up it with pooris or parathas bought from the school compartment.Ker sangri is a course of action of five plant things — ker, sangri, babul fali (kumatiya), gunda and aamchur. It is generally called panchkuta considering this original mix of five trimmings. Ker is a caper-like desert regular item, a berry that creates on a thorny shrubbery.
Papad ki subzi :
The shortage of rain and water always made Rajasthanis think out of the box, and this dish was a lifesaver when they ran out of vegetables. In this popular curry, roasted papads (thin Indian flatbreads made from lentils) are broken roughly and added to the yogurt gravy made with gram flour, chilli powder, turmeric and chopped coriander leaves. The result is a mouth watering curry usually served with steamed rice. The idea of adding papad to a curry may not sound appetising although on my recent trip to Rajasthan this is one dish I couldn’t get enough of. I was there during the summer months of April travelling across the region, cooking and eating with locals. Discovering spices, markets and family recipes along the way. Papad ki sabzi is a staple in homes across the north west of India and primarily made with turmeric, coriander and fenugreek in a rich gravy simmered along with cooked papad or poppadum as it is known in the UK.
A genius idea if you ask me! Yoghurt added to the curry is cooling and also thickens the gravy. It’s a simple recipe and just what a mid week meal needs on days when I don’t have much in the kitchen.Traditionally papad added to the curry is fried. I have roasted them in this recipe. You can dry roast them over the hob or in the microwave. If you’re cooking in the microwave just follow the instructions on the pack. Don’t be too concerned about the edges that are charred slightly. For me that’s what adds the flavour to the gravy/ sabzi.you test this food than you know the test of this food, hire cab service jodhpur.
