♡ BEST EXPERIENCE: every other experience was horrific bar discord so note that down! but fr, tumblr has introduced me to so many people and let us build interactions and characters together that it has to be the best. this hellmouth let me build a 8 year friendship so it has that going for it.

♡ PLOTS OR MEMES: i'm so bad at getting the plot ball rolling that i have to choose memes here. at least to start. when we have a base interaction then my brain can go brr and scream about dynamics and plots for days. i just need the kickstart.
♡ LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: somewhere in the middle. i love a long reply but sometimes it just means a lot of waffle if its just trying to make up space. short replies are hit and miss for me personally. i like to go for 2-3 paras personally.
♡ BEST TIME TO WRITE: lol imagine sitting down to actually write. usually in the evenings since my dash is dead until then bc timezones.

idk if I've said it here yet but I was one of those kids who was not allowed to watch cartoons or go online until I was significantly older. my mom literally blocked TV channels that showed cartoons. I was allowed to watch spongebob and gravity falls because my dad liked them but I got no adventure time, no gumball, no regular show, no power puff girls, no jimmy neutron, etc until I was much older and could watch them on my own.
I was allowed, however, to watch whatever disney movie I liked because my mom liked disney and considered it age-appropriate and decent enough. ofc I immediately found the most mature one possible and grew a massive embarrassing special interest over it that led to me begging and crying my parents to buy me paintings of the notre dame whenever we went to paris when we were visiting family. I still have them! was unironically obsessed with paris and the medieval ages/early renaissance because of that damn movie
SIMILARLY, since I wasn't allowed online I've never played club penguin or poptropica or anything, I was never on omegle or kik or wattpad. I do not have forum experiences.
I got internet ACCESS when I was 10 but it was heavily monitored so I couldn't talk to anyone or make any accounts, certain websites were blocked, my browser history was checked and so were my messages. etc etc. I basically just used it to pirate movies which I figured out how to do insanely early lmao.
so the first account I ever got to make on my own accord was when I was fourteen.
which was five years ago. five!
my first tumblr (the hercules one) I made when I was fifteen. THREE years ago! early 2020!
anyway all of this explains why I'm really bad at fandom stuff and don't really understand certain online etiquette. and also why I talk about kids movies a lot and not like breaking bad or whatever.
I am consumed by childhood abuse trauma if u didn't get that vibe already LOL and while I DO consume adult stuff (again big interest in religion/history so I really really like reading about history and culture and various mythology. I'm actually rereading dante's inferno rn :)) I am unfortunately tethered to kids movies forever. both dreamworks and disney (dreamworks makes better movies but alas I am cursed by the pull of thond and hercules)
my saving grace is that there's so little merch for my faves and I fucking HATE the parks, you literally have to drag me kicking and screaming to an amusement park, so I don't qualify for disney adult. amen.

experience in RP — Oh gosh. Uh. Nearly 14+ years of roleplay experience. I've been through just about every medium you can think of. Forum, Text messages, Chatzy, Email, Skype, Google Documents, Kik, Discord, and of course Tumblr.
best experiences— I think it's currently a tie between Tumblr and Discord. Which is a reasonable tie, in my opinion. XD
pet peeves/dealbreakers — Oh. Hmm, maybe non communication? Drama. And people who refuse to read a muse out properly.
muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ) — Well, my muse would prefer fluff. But I genuinely like anything that can evoke great emotions in another person. That deep gut wrenching angst, the feet kicking fluff, and the cheek heating smut, all are S-tier to me. I just want to write in a way that makes you feel enveloped in the story, so if you're invested, I'm doing my job right.
plot or memes — Both! I don't reblog a meme if I don't think it can be turned into something of a plot. Of course, it's up to you to decide if it should be a thread. XD
long or short replies — I love long replies, they make me eager to respond since I can see just how invested my rp partner is. But short replies are good, if the rp was short to begin with. ^.^ I'm not fond of one liners long term though, since I don't use icons they can drop off too easily.
best time to write — Anytime, honestly. As long as I'm not asleep, or busy, I'd generally prefer to be writing or drawing. ^.^
are you like your muse?: I wish. King seems to have a lot more things together than me. But no, I think we aren't all that alike aside from our friendliness and our general love of cats.

are you like your muse(s): So Lucifer - no! Not at all. But I am good at getting a particular "feel" for a character when I'm especially obsessed with them! It comes almost naturally with the deluxe hyperfixation package!
Charlie - somewhat! She is far less anxious and far far more outgoing than I am! But I relate to her more than I relate to most fictional characters! Namely in the way she is passive and has a hard time asserting herself, and we also both want to see the best in even the worst people! She reminds me of Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket, which is actually another character I relate to!

I really really really love/hate the internet.
It never ceases to amaze me when I remember it was created by human beings. It seems like a bunch of images/concepts/shouts into the void, and yet behind every single element there's a person. And that's so terrifying and amazing because it's like nearly everything that we've created as a species ends up here in some form or another. And if it somehow hasn't yet, there are groups working hard to make sure it does.
I am unique from many in my generation (born 2003) because I spent a large portion of my formative years with very little internet access. As a kid I was all over those kids MMOs and virtual pet games, and as a teen I was really into tiktok, instagram, and youtube. But in between those times, after I had developed the curiosity to venture outside of neopets dot com, but before social media took over everyone's life and the internet was more than like 6 websites, I wasn't able to explore and really see what's out there. I never ran the gauntlet, stumbled upon bestgore, saw porn at age 10, was groomed on kik, or any of those experiences that so many of gen z seem to identify with. So when I gained access to the internet, all I really wanted to do was use social media and message my friends like every other kid my age was doing at the time.
Then I discovered something called elsagate. I was thrown into this rabbit hole of conspiracy theories, deleted youtube videos, and insane reddit posts about this bit of youtube that nobody except children knew about - until a few parents realized what the fuck their kids were watching and alerted the press about it.
Around the same time, I got into iceberg videos, I researched youtube drama, I talked to randos on omegle, I spent time lurking on the incel forums, I read about subreddits that had been banned, I listened to podcast episodes about real-life crime that got it's start on obscure fetish forums, I read wikipedia pages for fun, and I found some of the weirdest porn that the internet has to offer.
The truth is, I'm obsessed with the internet. And yet, there aren't a ton of books about the cultural aspect of things. Not much freely accessible research on the various fandoms, subcultures, fetish groups, micro-religions, and communities that are unique to the internet. That sucks for someone like me who wants to learn more without having to find everything from primary sources, but it's also great because that means I have a niche to fill and a hobby besides living vicariously through my sims.
I wanted this blog to be a neocities website but alas, I am a dumbass with no desire to learn basic HTML, or at least no drive to do it at the moment. I might figure it out and move everything over there but for now I'm just gonna keep things here where it's user-friendly and doesn't make me type these things <<<>>> all the time.
I'm going to write a bunch about a subject I think is interesting, do lots of research, and include my sources at the bottom. I will be using wikipedia and youtube as sources because A) aforementioned lack of secondary sources about shit like otherkins and femcels, and B) it's a tumblr account, not a college essay. I dropped out of college for a reason, I'm not about to subject myself to MLA APA format hell because I wanna write about the cultural impact of coolmathgames.
Posts will be coming whenever I am motivated to write, but hopefully I'll have something every other week or so. If you want to suggest a topic/nag me to post more/ask for more info my ask box is open. I'll also try to keep a masterlist of posts + links pinned for easy access ✭

Like I get that some social medias spread misinformation, but literally all of them do all the time. So like, why tiktok in particular are y'all up in arms over? There's twitter (although its dying), there's youtube, theres whatever facebook has, there's snapchat, theres been things like kik, there's been things like forum sites, theres been stuff like wattpad and ao3, etc. Like. There is bad on everywhere.
So why are you like "tiktok is so cringe, i hate it so much". Like its just because its one of the most popular that it gets so much press.
Idk it kind of feels out of touch to say that there is nothing good that comes out of tiktok. I personally don't use it anymore, but there was a lot of good on it in my experience. I like youtube shorts as a replacement for it, in fact, many creators reupload their videos from tiktok to youtube.
So like, I think we just need to accept that it's not that people on there are particularly cringe or bad, more than any other site or app. It's that its just a very, very quick spread of information, and with any misinformation, that can be a problem.
But beyond that, it sounds like a bunch of adults just getting mad at teenagers like they always do.

○ best experience: oh man…. it was the most toxic experience of my life but man do i miss the old tumblr rpc i used to be in. the stories that take months to complete? awesome times.
○ rp pet peeves / dealbreakers: spreading any kind of hate or just making others feel bad in general.
○ fluff, angst, or smut: fluff over angst, but i LOVE really good angst as much as i do fluff. in fact, my steve muse was based off a angst heavy plot involving survivor steve from dead by daylight. i do enjoy smut but on discord only and i never force it.
○ plots or memes: memes, sadly i am shy as hell but i love plotting. i love just gushing about random timeline stuff, and sitting down to figure out where things are going… eek. BUT MEMES. they help move story along i feel? or at least give us as writers easier ways to access a plot and i know everyone’s a little anxious so ya know.
○ long or short replies: when i can do them i love Long Replies. i love letting the muse take over and absolutely wrecking house on a reply, but these days? shorter replies are where i’m at. consider yourself blessed when cap gives you a long reply.
○ best time to write: usually at night for me, i can sit and draft all day but the real writing happens before bed. it’s the only time i have to just relax and have time to myself.

experience / how many years : fully depends on what you count as experience! my first brush with roleplaying was on an old warrior cats forum when i was around 8-10, and i remember doing silly little roleplays with my friends on our messaging apps (like kik... so sorry to anyone else on there). but in terms of more serious roleplay and tumblr specific, i made my first account (which is still active if not on hiatus!) late last year :)
best experience : getting to write with the absolute platonic loml and my best friend in the whole world, flowers @mortisvitae (+ other accounts). not that they're the ONLY person i write with or that my friends i've made in the rpc matter less but i really got into this because of them and they mean the world to me <3
rp pet peeves : people who shit on younger/less "skilled" writers / blogs that don't use a shit ton of fancy fonts and images, people who harass others for responses (either ic or ooc), people who make drama out of what's supposed to be a fun hobby, and my most famous pet peeve of all: people who contribute (even unintentionally) to the insane amount of misogyny in the rpc by nitpicking, harassing or outright ignoring female muses and muns. same goes with any marginalized identity, i just think the misogyny is often ignored or brushed over which makes me want to be even louder about it.
fluff, angst, or smut : i have been known to dabble in all three <3
plots or memes : i generally tend to start things with memes due to my ridiculously annoying bouts of anxiety, but i love plotting, even if it doesn't end up being a thread :).
long or short replies : i tend to match or go over my partners' reply lengths - not out of expectation that they do the same, but i don't like leaving people with super-short responses if they've written a novel and sometimes the inspiration hits.
time to write : whenever the adhd goes "it's time to write right now or you'll suffer a cartoonish demise".
are you like your muses : yes and no - for jane, i definitely see a lot of myself in her (and project even more ONTO her), but i do enjoy writing characters who are completely different - i think you can see a bit of yourself in everyone, however small.

MUSES: A few??? Okay, so, so many. But my current hyperfixation is my Wednesday muses.
PREFERENCE OF COMMUNICATION: I'm easy breezy, either tumblr IM's or discord. I do forget to reply sometimes though. I don't mean too, but its like I plan a response in my head and forget that I didn't actually send it.
EXPERIENCE: 15-17 years (ewww)
BEST EXPERIENCE: I tend to have the memory of a goldfish, so it's hard to think of any. I remember my bad experiences in life better than the best experiences; but I would have to say the friends and family by choice I have met and made along the way.
PLATFORMS YOUV’E USE: Uhm, more than a couple actually - Hexrpg, various forum based rp's, discord, kik, tumblr, over text with a friend in high school, over email, wire, msn - tumblr's been the longest running one though.
RP PET PEEVS & DEAL BREAKERS: God modding is definitely a big one. Also and I might be showing my age a bit with the terminology but Mary-Sue's. I think my biggest pet peeve though is how female muses get overlooked a lot of the time in favour of male muses, like I don't care if your muses are only romantically interested in male muses, we can still do platonic/family/enemy stuff with my girlies.
PLOTS OR MEMES: Admittedly, I'm not the best at plotting. I'm good at adding onto plots if my partner has a base idea but I blank when I try to come up with plots myself honestly. I love meme's though, even if I'm 500 years behind on meme's, I love them so much.
FLUFF/ANGST/SMUT: I love fluffy or domestic/slice of life threads. Angst I can enjoy, but in small doses because I start to empathetically feel what my muses are feeling. Smut, I need to be close to and
LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: I'm down for all lengths to be honest, the only thing I can't really do is one liners for more than a couple of opening posts. I always end up making it longer. I try to match my partner as a minimum though. Longer threads do take me a while though.
BEST TIME TO WRITE: Irritatingly, at night. Which sucks because I need to get up early for work and my brain is like 'I'm on a roll - let me write', next thing I know it's 1-2am and I'm up at between 5.30-6.30am on weekdays.
ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSES ?: Honestly? I'm not sure. I'm sure there is certain traits and qualities I share with some muses (I do have plenty muses after all), but not really sure what traits or which ones.
