Villus has never seen so many stars. Only Cassie with her ailing madness wallowed in such brilliance. Hers was but a glimpse to warp his precognition, lifetimes in sorrow he has spent. Here, where his blade was forged, dipped in a mercurial bath of virulence and starseed.
She is not here to nullify his pain or climb atop his rancid pole as they become swallowed by expanding horizons. Nor is the one who gave birth to him in the desert: who saw a perfect opportunity to ensure its immortality. ALL is in a heap at the bottom of the stairs as the cesspool of grief-rot and fetidness rises to envelope its ruined carriage.
Blighted by the transient axiom once confused for a symbol with nothing behind it but this intoxicating view of breathing recesses and reclusive strength. Eyes unclouded by frugality or an excessive capacity for acknowledgment, detached completely from that ghostly filigree of awakening proponents of law.

Always loved this picture. First saw it from Eric Larocca's "things have gotten worse since we last spoke"- a fucked up piece utilised for a fucked up piece of lit. Something about how nightmarish and atmospheric it is. The contrast between the blue and orange, the orange and red, the red and blue. The black. The texture of it.
This painting is phenomenal, I could stare at it for days. Probably wouldn't be well afterwards but I could do it
