Guren: Yeah, looked it over, nice work!

Yu: Good, thanks Dad!

Everyone: ...

Yu: Why is everyone staring at me?

Shihou: You just called Lieutenant Colonel Guren Dad, you said ‘thanks Dad’!

Yu: What? No I didn’t, I said ‘thanks man’.

Guren: Do you see me as a father figure, Yu?

Yu: NO! If anything I see you as a ‘Bother figure’ because you’re always bothering me!

Mitsuba: Hey, show your father some respect!

Yu: I DIDN’T CALL HIM DAD!

Guren: No no no no, Yuuichirou, I take it as a compliment.

Yoichu: Its not a big deal, I called Shihou Dad once and he’s my boyfriend!

Yu: Guys, jump on that, Yoichi has psycho sexual issues!

Shinoa: Old news, but you calling the Lieutenant Colonel ‘Daddy’-

Yu: HEY Daddy is not on the table here!

Vampire: But you did call him Dad, livestock.

Yu: You shut up, you’ve done nothing but lie since you got here.

Vampire: Alright I was lying about the murders, but the Dad thing, that happened!

Yu: AHA! He admitted he was lying. It was a trap. All part of my crazy, devious, plan.

Guren: Well I believe you...

Yu: Thank you.

Guren: ...Son.

Guren: Would you like to talk about it over a game of catch?

Yu: ... I would like that...

Kimizuki snorted, and at that point he looked over his shoulder in Yoichi’s direction.

And he was caught staring.

Kimizuki didn’t make any movement to avert his gaze, though. He kept his dark eyes focused on Yoichi for several beats, before those narrowed eyes traveled down. Yoichi felt warmer as he followed the eyes, wondering how long he would just stare at him like that, and why, and what -

He noticed one of Kimizuki’s eyebrows lift as he rested his eyes on Yoichi’s sandwich.

What -

“You’re, uh,” Kimizuki made a gesture around his stomach and lap, “you got a mess there.”

“Huh?!” Yoichi straightened himself up, confused by Kimizuki’s statement and finally followed where he looked.

While being distracted, he had squeezed his sandwich to the point where peanut butter and jelly oozed out and dripped all over the front of his shirt.

He looked back up in time to see Kimizuki smirk, an air of an apology almost to it, but Yoichi half expected him to give him a hard time. But instead he only winked and turned away to start whispering to Mitsuba.

Where’s Mitsuba?

Is it just me or have I seen and heard less and less of Mitsuba in the latest chapters? I mean, before Guren arrived, the boys are talking to each other, Mika and Yuu are talking about their family and Shinoa is talking to Crowley. When Guren finally came, the boys all talk to him like normal, Mika is pissed off in the sidelines because ‘Why are these people treating this guy like he didn’t do anything wrong?’, Shinoa is asking Guren questions (and Guren is asking stuff himself) and Crowley is just watching.

Where’s Mitsuba, though?

Look, from the 1st time she was introduced, she was shown to be a somewhat strict, no-nonsense girl who cares about her teammates because of a past trauma but she shows it in a sort of tsundere sense. Main point is, she cares. You’re not going to tell me she’s okay with the whole ‘Let’s revive everyone risking another apocalypse!’ plan. It’s kind of out of character for someone like her who at least got more common sense than her weird teammates. Also, like I said, she cares about her team. In a way, the rest of the JIDA was part of that since she’s a member. Shouldn’t she be voicing out something against Guren for what happened in Nagoya? Why isn’t she saying anything?

All this time, it’s only been Yuu, Narumi and Shinoa talking and Guren isn’t helping with his not-detailed-enough answers and no one is listening to Mika. I expected Mitsuba to at least have a say in all this but she doesn’t seem to be there.

Did I miss something? It’s like the last time I saw her was in the bath with Shinoa... or did Kagami-sensei forget she existed?
