MEETING THE PARENTS
Constantine was freaking out in the watchtower meeting room. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner that your kids are dating a Denizen of the Infinite Realms?!”
“What is a Denizen of the Infinite Realms?” “Do you mean Ellie? She’s a sweet girl.” Both Batman and Superman spoke at the same time.
“Ellie? Is that her name or her Name?” Constantine asked, leaning forward.
“That…you just said the same thing twice.” Flash said in confusion.
“No. A name is what you call someone. In the Infinite Realms spirits Name is significant. It has Power.”
“That reminds me of my grandma’s old stories about fairies and Fae folk.” Green Lantern leaned back in his seat. “All that ‘giving your true name’ stuff
“Your grandma told you stories about fairies?” Flash raised an eyebrow.
“She was a hippy.” He shrugged. His cheeks just faintly pink.
“Are these beings Fae?” Flash turned back to Constantine.
“They are both Fae and Spirits. Sorta. The word is interchangeable depending on the specific being you are referring to.” Zatanna said. “For example, Banshees are a type of fae that originate from spirits or ghosts. Banshees can be apart of the Infinite Realms. The Realms are the bridge between our reality and any ‘fae realm’ that exists.” John looked exhausted, despite his leg bouncing agitatedly under the table.
“Can we refocus?” Wonder Woman interrupted. “Constantine. What are the Infinite Realms?”
“It’s the glue that both connects and divides the different plans of reality.”
“You’re talking multiverse.” Green Lantern said looking more alert.
“Not just the Multiverse, mate. Everything and Everyone who dies in Any planet, galaxy, or Universe must pass through the Infinite Realms to reach their afterlife. Which all exist under the command of the Ancient High King.”
“Hades?” Wonder Woman asked.
“Saint Peter?” Green Lantern asked.
“Or the Devil?” Flash guessed.
Constantine shook his head again. “No. All of those beings hold Dominion over a single kind of afterlife. Think of them like Lords to a King.”
“Who is the High King?” Batman had his hands posed to record the information on a monitor.
“Well, it used to be The Tyrant King. Pariah Dark, The Imperator of Fear. The Father of Despair. The Great Conqueror of the Dead, Undying, and Never Born. During the height of his rule there was a gathering of Seven Ancients who with all of their power were only able to bind him to sleep. A sleep that lasted for centuries. Unfortunately, he woke up and began to take vengeance on the whole realm. Until another spirit rose up to challenge him. A single Ancient who defeated Pariah Dark in single combat and with his victory, claimed the Throne of the Infinite Realms.” Constantine said all of this in a bored tone. Like he was retelling the drama of a soap opera he watched a hundred times.
“So the Last King was a Tyrant. What about the new guy?” Superman asked curiously.
“All I know are his Epitaphs. The Great Ancient of Balance. The Patriarch of the Wilds. Eminence of Justice. The High King Phantom.” Constantine gruffed.
“When did the transfer of power happen?” Batman asked.
“Time isn’t the same between here and the Infinite. To us it was less than five years ago. In the Infinite it could have been centuries or even millennia ago.” Zatanna shrugged. “Don’t get too strung up on timelines. The Infinite Realm exists outside of typical timelines.”
Superman shrugged. “Well, Ellie wants us to meet her parents. And Three Denizens of the Infinite Realms want to meet Robin and Superboy. Along with Batman and Superman.”
“Four.” Batman corrected.
Green Lantern looked confused. “Four?”
“Yeah. Ellie, her Dad, her Mom, and her Pops.” Superman nodded as he remembered the specifics of what Superboy had said.
Flash took a sip of a mango smoothie he hadn’t had a second ago. “Are her parents divorced?” He asked around the straw.
Green Lantern smirked nonchalantly. “‘Can spirits divorce?’ Sounds like a joke start up.”
Superman shrugged nonchalantly, “They’re a polycule. She’s got two dads and a mom according to the boys.”
“Oh.”
Constantine flicked open his pack of smokes and put one between his lips. Leaving it unlit at Batman’s glare, “Don’t expect a traditional relationship dynamic from the Infinite Realms, Mate.”
Batman tapped relentlessly on, “What are the Denizens of the Infinite Realms like?”
Zatanna hesitated, “They are...It’s hard to explain. They are emotions, obsessions, ideals, even aspects of reality given physical form. Like…gods who don’t need worship to increase their power and influence. Some are technically ghosts; the reflected personalities of former mortals from different realities, but that’s more irregular than what you might expect.” She winced at the withering stare she felt coming from Batman at her vague explanation.
Wonder Woman turned to Superman “So, what about Ellie? What kind of girl is she?”
Constantine spoke up before Superman could start, “More importantly, what kind of spirit is she?”
“Superboy said she was something called a Mirror-Born but he didn’t know what that meant.” Superman admitted. “I didn’t know either when he asked me.”
“A mirror-born? What is that?” Zatanna looked over at Constantine in confusion.
The British man shook his head, “I have no bloody idea, love. I’ve never heard of the phrase. But spirits and Others tend to be a mix of extremely literal and annoying obtuse with their terminology.” Constantine chewed on the unlit cigarette in his mouth thoughtfully. “Mirror…mirror…a reflection… A likeness. An afterimage maybe?” Constantine began to mutter to himself as he scribbled on a scrap of paper from his coat. “I’ll look up some things at the house later. Maybe see what I can dig up.”
Wonder Woman then took the lead. “In the meantime, let us discuss the logistics of meeting with these Infinite Realm Denizens.”
Zatanna took over the meeting. “Thankfully, the barrier dividing us from the Infinite Realm is hard to transverse. Natural portals are the main way they come over. Natural portals are random and dissipate quickly. Some can track and anticipate the portals appearance and cross over temporarily.”
“This ‘Ellie’ is probably a weaker but clever spirit who figured out how to access this world with some degree of certainty.” Constantine flicked the chewed up cigarette away and pulled out a new one. “But don’t underestimate her. ‘Weaker’ does not mean weak. Infinite Realms beings thrive on battle. Fighting is their main form of communication.”
“Fighting?” Batman grunted, fingers pausing in their typing.
“Everything from play fighting, friendly sparing, to actual ‘trying to end your existence’ fighting. These beings love fighting so much it’s practically coded into them.” Zatanna shrugged. “It’s as common to them as shaking hands is to us.”
“So, her parents will likely want to spar. To gauge Robin and Superboys’ worthiness for their child.” Constantine sighed. “Like a Fae version of the shovel talk. Heads or tails on if they actually try to bury them though.”
“Probably best to have the meeting here on the Watchtower or somewhere similarly isolated than on earth. Safer.” Superman glanced out of the watchtower windows. “Probably not here though.”
Wonder Woman nodded, “Noted. Should there be others included in the meeting?”
“Yes. I’d say so. Obviously, the boy, Superman, and Batman. Constantine and myself.” Zatanna listed out the individuals, counting on her fingers.
“Pass.” Constantine grunted.
Zatanna glared up at him. “No passing. If we need to restrain them, both of us might be needed. Should we invite Captain Marvel too?”
The Laughing Magician pulled out another cigarette.

Dear Father fanfic idea
DC x DP crossover fanfiction
Fanfic idea of Danny adopting everyone. He’s worse than Batman since he does it 200% deliberately with no age nor race restriction.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Absolutely fucking not.”
Yeah, nope. No way in hell was he, John mother-fucking Constantine going to let this happen. Only over his dead body, which might actually be the case by the end of the bloody day if they couldn’t come up with something else other than that. And he wasn’t going to change his mind no matter how much the kid currently gallivanting as a demi-god whined. Wasn’t that a news when he found out several months ago.
“Come on Constans, we both know he wouldn’t mind. Besides what else can we do, we’ve tried everything.” Captain Marvel pleaded with the older man as he gestured their surroundings.
It couldn’t be described as anything else other than apocalyptic. A complete fucking shitshow.
Apparently a prophecy of some kind came to fruition right under their bloody noses and they were left grasping straws to try and stop the end of the world from happening. If only-
“Call him or I’ll call him John! Your choice.” Pressed Marvel who was getting fed up with the magician’s nonsense but he wasn’t bugging, no siree!
“Shut up, we don’t need his help! Just let me-” John yelled while buried head first in his spell book, desperately trying to find away that didn’t require him to relinquish the last few pits of his shabby dignity. Or what was left of it anyways. But Marvel was having non of it.
“Nope, that’s it! I’m making the call!” The red glad man shouted over the blonde brit and pulled out his personal phone which looked like it had been pulled strait out of a sci-fi movie.
This caused John to lunge at Marvel who in return floated away out of his reach.
“Are you daft? I’ll never hear the end of it so don’t even- Hey! Don’t you dare, I swear-!” They were quickly interrupted by a black looming silhouette quickly approaching them.
“I hope that you two have come up with something since you’re able to play around like this.” Batman demanded in gruff manner, man looking worse for wear just like the rest of them. Marvel swiftly positioned the dark one between him and his would-be assailant.
“Oh we did have a solution from the very start but someone thinks that we don’t need any help. His poor ego wouldn’t be able to handle it.” He told as he threw a look over his makeshift barrier’s shoulder.
“Shut your cakehole.” John hissed but was reluctantly put in place by a hard glare from mister darker and gloomier who turned to the floating magic-user.
“What is this solution exactly? Help from who or what?” At his inquiry the boy-man hero couldn’t help but beam when he began to explain what, or rather who he had in mind.
“Well I was thinking calling our-” But he was rudely cut in before he could get far.
“We aren’t calling anybody because we don’t need his help! We can take care of this on our own!” Batman turned back to the blond and was clearly at the end of his patience.
“We are running on borrowed time Constantine, if there is any chance to for us to stop this then we should take it since we don’t have any other options left.”
The two began to argue so heatedly that they didn’t pay attention to Marvel speed dialing the number he kept close to his heart. With a dopey grin he bounced on his heels while he waited for the other side to answer. After just two rings the line connected.
“Hi kid! What are you calling in for, did you get out of work already?” A jovial, baritone voice rang out which instantly relaxed the kid-not-kid hero. The all-composing feeling of warmth, protection and safety could almost be felt through the phone which never failed to make him feel comfortable and at peace.
“Hi dad! No, I’m still at work and we kinda shorta need your help. Badly.”
He could near feel the change in his father’s mood and he definitely heard it in his voice.
“What do you need? Where are you?” Came the rapid questioning. His smile never left as he thought how dad always went strait to business when it came to his family and friends. Always ready to help no matter what or why.
“Well, apparently the apocalypse is happening and we have no idea how to stop it… Can you help us? Please?” He tentatively asked as he glanced back at the bickering duo. Sometimes he asked himself if he really was the only secret child there.
“Ha ha, no need to beg, let alone ask. I’ll be there in a jiffy once I know where you guys are. Just try and hang in there kid.” Voice on the other side commented in lighter tone.
Marvel let out a sigh. He knew that everything would be okay after all.
“Thanks dad. We are currently stuck on Metropolis in it’s central, it’s a complete mess in here.”
“Everything will be fine. See you soon.” The voice chuckled and cut the call.
Yes, everything would be just fine. He turned to call out to the idiots who looked to be near ripping each other a new one.
“You two can stop now, he’s already on his way!”
He had to wince at the speed which the blonde turned his head to stare at him. Then came the familiar cursing.
“Fucking shite!”
He merely rolled his eyes and crossed his arms in irritation. He glared at the magician.
“Seriously, what’s your problem? It doesn’t have to be this difficult you know.”
Before John could comment, Batman pushed pass and stalked up to Marvel.
“Who did you call?”
He couldn’t say much before more of their fellow heroes started to trickle in. Flash no surprise being the first.
“Hope you got something up your utility belt Bats, we can’t take this much longer.” Pleaded the red speedster. He was joined by Green Lantern carrying injured Superman and ouch did he look roughened up.
“Have to agree with Flashpoint. Were running out of juice fast, and even Big Blue is out cold.”
Marvel looked at the others coming in. Martian Manhunter, Zatara, Wonder Woman, Black Canary and even Doctor Fate was there, none of them looking any better.
“Well, I’m glad to announce that help is on their way so we can all sit back and relax for a bit. This will be over in no time.” He declared brightly.
The others goggled at him like he made the most outlandish statement in all of history, minus Constantine who has decided to use this small window of calm to drown his headache in his flask while he still can.
“What the hell are you on about? What help? Who could possibly help with this!” Flash yelled out the question in everybodies mind.
“I would like to known this too finally.” Batman demanded this as well.
Seeing everybody hanging onto his up coming explanation he smirked at John who gave him oh-so-eloquently middle finder in retaliation. Well to bad, he would have to just deal with it, the big baby.
“Oh nobody too important, just the most powerful and influential being in all multiverse. Some of you might know him by his monikers like the First Champion, the Balancer, the High King and the Great One.” He said flippantly as he pretended to check his nails, trying his absolute best to hid his smug smile when he noticed Zatara and Fate going rigid and pale.
Zatara near stumbled thanks to his shaking knees. He took couple faltering steps towards the Champion of Magic. His expression mix of reverence and fear as started to whisper as if dreading that someone or something might hear him if he spoke too loudly.
“Y-You couldn’t possibly mean King-”
He didn’t get to finish his sentence for they all felt the change in the air, in the ground.
He has arrived.
Time came to a crawl, the world slowed it’s movements in face of approaching force. It quaked, it trembled, it slithered. Leak becoming a downpour, a tear in reality of sickly green opened above the group, high out of reach. What little light still had remained in the hellish landscape around them were drained as if all the world’s shadow congregated around the opening to greet its master like a deprived servant. Then a figure of black and white caped in light seemingly holy, descended from it. Even from afar they could distinguish their towering form who’s muscles failed to hide under its full-body armor. Their mountainous presence becomes more and more apparent the closer they came. What they thought as wings of pure and white was actually a cape of moving light.
Blazing green eyes as that of the tear gazed upon them from under their moonlight hair, which coupled with the iron grown of flames created figures of shadow dancing across their hardened features as if to praise their beholder’s glory.
Zatara had already collapsed on the ground in utter disbelieve. All the myths and legends were true all along.
“King Phantom.” He spoke in awe and bowed before the king as did equally shocked Doctor Fate.
“Hi dad!” Marvel yelled and dragged the laughing magician by his coat to greet their new arrival.
All of their associates looked between the clear powerhouse of a being and their red heavy hitter in utter incredulity at the revelation. Zatara and Fate near had a heart attack at the way their magical colleague addressed the mythical presence. Marvel had a father? And this horrifying existence was it? What sent them reeling even more was how the king’s responded.
With his arms stretched he lowered himself fully to gather the two smaller men in his embrace.
“Kids! Boy, when you said that you needed help bad I think you might have underestimated a tiny bit.” He joked with a toothy smile as he moved to get a better look at his more-or-less willing captees of his affection. His expression softened even more at the face of Constantine, not the others could see.
“John, it’s so good to see you as well.” He said softly and ruffled both of their hairs, eliciting a laugh from his youngest and indignant pout from his fourth oldest who tried to swat the offending hand away.
“Whatever.” John growled but Phantom didn’t mind since he could see the blush caking his scratched up cheeks.
Now this drew his attention, both of his boys were in horrendous shape and he would do something about it after his job was completed. Looking at the blood willed sky no longer colored by his green and the burning wreckage that is this dimensions earth, he knew he didn’t have much time.
“I suppose we should get this over with then. You two better get back to the Keep after this, understood.” He stated and then was gone just like that.
Now that the oppressive feeling of death and power has left along with the godly being, every single one of the heroes present turned to the two for explanation. Marvel send a pleading look towards his brother, but John pointedly turned away and began to nurse his briefly forgotten drink which was now empty, damn you dad.
Discreetly gulping his nerves down he twirled to face his peers.
“Okay, let’s start with one question at a time please.”
This caused the floodgates to open and Zatara practically jumped him in his feverishness.
“You are a son of King Phantom? The King Phantom? I thought he was nothing more than a myth! A legend told through out several histories!”
As Marvel was trying to dislodge the man he was approached by Doctor Fate.
“I too held the believe that he was nothing more than a story to strike fear onto the forces of evil and to aspire heroes of both old and new. To think he was real this entire time.” He mused, and before Marvel could say anything, Flash barged in as well.
“And what about you John? This might be the first time I’ve seen any otherworldly being be happy to see you.” He pointed at the man who chose to wisely stay far behind.
“Fuck you too!” Shouts the offended man from the back. Even if it’s true doesn’t make it any less rude. And oh look here comes Batman.
“Enough! Marvel, explain.” He demands as he moves effortlessly to the front of the pack.
“Well… you see-” Marvel stammers as he tries under the pressure to come up with something to say but was thankfully saved by the sky shifting again.
As quick as a snap the red sky was returned to its blue color, signaling the King’s victory over his enemy. Marvel smiled widely and even John couldn’t stop a heavy sigh of relieve from escaping his mouth. Good old dad, always up to any task he comes across.
“Incredible.” Wonder Woman gasped, even Lantern had to give an impressed eyebrow at the instant change in atmosphere. And while everyone was distracted by his dad’s handiwork, Marvel shimmied his way to the grumpy magician who was in progress of making his getaway.
“I think we should continue this some other time, there’s a lot of cleaning up to do and me and my bro need to do a little house call. So bye!” He called out with a wave as he was crabbed and transported to their destination before anyone could stop them.
Others could do more than blink as Batman stewed in his place. In Lantern’s arms Superman began to stir.
“H-huh, what did I miss?”

Thought:
Danny after trying to repeal the Anti-ecto acts but getting no where is fed up and decides to do an uno reverse.
"I, Phantom, King of the Infinite Realms hearby decree, for the next 24-hours Humanity will experience what we have for years, For the next 24-hours Humanity is declared non-sentient. Any forms of sentience is just Mimicry. Any who are Ecto touched are to be spared from this Anti-Humanity Act."
Just a little funny thought
Expecially if this is happening with a dc crossover... the JLD is just taking cover and not touching this with a 100 ft pole. you know actually a vacation to another planet sounds nice.

Batman slid over to Constantine after internally debating a singular issue over the last half hour.
“Constantine. I am unsure how to proceed with disciplining Danny. He needs sleep. How would you go about handling this?”
Constantine, on the verge of literally crying over the reminder that Batman is Danny’s father. Again.
“Bruce, he is a literal God-“

High King And Ancient of Space
Danny eventually takes the crown of the infinte realms. He lives his half life, goes to college has a family, and eventually fully dies. When he enters the zone he take the crown as he swore to do and learns that the crown come with a status of a deity (an ancient title that cements him in the halls of the ancients that taught him in his youth despite still being the zone’s equivalent of a child).
Danny adopts the title of Space. He commands it and rules over it, much like his mentor does with Time. Even if he is somehow usurped from the throne, his title will stay. (The next king would also receive the title of an ancient, as is standard with claim to the throne. If asked Pariah Dark was an Ancient of Power but it went to his head and drove him insane).
Danny takes the time to travel through space, aka the dimension that reside within the infinte realms. He ends up in the DC universe at some point and stays for a while mostly because it’s amusing and partially because he’d never run into a sentient city outside of the zone before (Looking at you Lady Gotham Au’s).
He finds one of the few mediators of the infinite realms and asks him about the dimension as a whole. Constantine freaks the fuck out the first time Danny approaches him because that is the king and also the god of space. Most people think john’s a crack job, but Danny knows an infinte realms liaison when he sees one, and after the initial shock, he and Constantine settle into a rather odd, if not incredibly entertaining dynamic.
Danny is coming back to earth after exploring the galaxy because this dimension has aliens and space travel and other planets, when he accidentally floats into the watch tower. The rest of the league freaks out because this is an unknown, but Constantine just lets out the longest groan ever because.
“Fucking Chronus has been looking for you, ya little shit, and he’s been bothering me about it because this dimension is massive and you don’t stay still.”
And Danny barks out a laugh because he remembers when John only called him “your majesty.” look how far he’s come now. Danny waves the concern aside though and goes and sits cross cross on the table in front of John.
“First of all, don’t call him Chronus, he hates it. Second, I think Clockwork approves our friendship because he is my mentor and could find me no matter where I go across time or space, so there was no reason to go through you to find me.Third, I think you have something for me,” Danny hold out his hand as John fishes a small glowing scroll out of his pocket and hands it over.
Danny reads over it, ignoring all the other heroes who were still on high alert but also incredibly confused.
“Damn, Clockwork really had you deliver my work schedule for the next cycle. You’re like a royal delivery boy.” Danny looked up from the scroll with the biggest shit eating grin. “Ya know John, when you die—“
“Nope! I don’t want any of the shitty titles you might deign to give me upon my eventual demise! Let me live my after life in peace, ya little shit.”
“Fine, I’ll give you a couple hundred cycles of rest, but you’re too smart and far too enjoyable of company to ignore forever.”
“I don’t want anything from you!” And Danny pull back in mock offense, hand clutching his imaginary pearls.
“You would deny the high king of the infinite realms?” John is scowling but there’s amusement in his eyes, and Danny take in a long unnecessary breathe to go into his usual triade of imaginary offense at the disrespect being shown to him, but he is cut off by any other magic user suddenly launching a spell at him.
The thing is, John Constantine is one of few true Liaisons of the infinte realms within the DC dimension. He’s liminal at best and pulls his power from the zone. He has a few ghosts that keep him updated on gossip and shit, but any massive shifts in the zone, he knows about on an instinctual level. When Danny was finally crowned, he felt it. He could hear the zone singing in joy. He knew this was a good thing even if he had no idea what kind of king Danny would turn into.
When Danny first approached him, John instantly knew Danny was the High King and powerful despite the fact that he looked like human college student. So John was careful, because while he belonged to the DC dimension, part of him also belongs to the zone, and when he dies, the zone will come to claim all of him. So eventually this overly curious slightly terrifying young adult would be Johns King and he has a health does of respect and self preservation when talking to the kid.
And then they became friends and all that went out the window.
Any other magic user knows of the Infinte realm. In their mind it’s a separate dimension, singular in nature as opposed to all encompassing. They know ghosts are powerful beings, and they know the king is even more so. They also know the king went mad with power, but they don’t know that Danny defeated him and that he is a new King. Other magic users heard Danny mention he was the high king and immediately think pariah dark is sitting in front of them, so they attack.
This causes the rest of the league to attack as well, which only results in Danny throwing an ectodome over himself and John. His light mood immediately vanishes and he glances at Constantine in confusion.
“Are they always trigger happy like this?”
“They’re a paranoid lot is what they are. I’d bet my soul they think you’re pariah dark.” Danny gives him a dead panned look.
“John, your mortal soul has been split so many times it is worth very little.” The man just shrugged in response. It wasn’t his fault other non zone entities were dumb.
Which a long sigh, Danny pulls his power forward and immediately binds everyone, stopping all attacks. his crown materialized above his head as did his cloak around his shoulders and all the less than human features he’d been hiding under a glamor. He lowered the dome and allowed his power filled the room, heavy and oppressive as well as intimidating Danny took the time to study each individual in the room, reading their souls to take in as much information as he could. John was right, these people are paranoid.
“You’re lucky I find you people amusing,” he finally announced, ”and that my knight isn’t at my side. He’d have run you all through at the first sign of violence. You’re more so lucky I’m not Pariah Dark. He’d have run you through himself just for fun.” That declaration seemed to startle the other magic users in the room, which earned a snort from Constantine. A silent “told you so,” was practically radiating from his aura.
“As it is, you did attack the High King of the infinite realms, blessed by the spirit of the zone herself and Ancient of Space. If I wanted to I could bring war to your dimension. I could eradicate you with barely even a fraction of the forces under my command. As it is, however, this is the most interesting dimension I’ve explored, so eradicating it would be a waste.” And Danny smirked as he watched half the league pale, clearly picking up on his wording. Danny was high king of the infinite realms. Every dimension was under his command and influence. If he wanted to, he could simply wave his hand and this entire reality would cease to exist.
Not that we would do that. It’s a waste and no one here is much of a threat to him anyway.
“John,” Danny turned to his friend. “What should I demand of them in order for them to gain my forgiveness.” John was a little too relaxed and was clearly enjoying this. Danny wasn’t surprised by this though. John, again, pulled from a power that other magic users couldn’t truly access or comprehend. To them Johns magic was unorthodox and they gave the mystic flack for it. Danny had listened to the man complain about it plenty, so the question was really aimed towards John. What did he want from them, because frankly, Danny was just fucking around with them.
“There are a couple of infinte realm artifacts they keep locked away in their store rooms you might be interested in, and..” he paused, “strawberry cheesecake from that specific bakery in Paris I told you about.”
Danny snorted. This man and his cheesecake. Whenever Danny visited he brought some because, and he quotes. “It is the only thing that keeps me sane when dealing with all the idiots I have to deal with.” Danny was interested in those artifacts though. It wasn’t unheard of for things to fall through natural portals, and if it had been anything truly dangerous, Clockwork would have already send Danny to retrieve it.
“Alright sure, that sounds ideal. Artifacts and cheese cake.” Danny waved his hands and released the hero’s. “Bring me these artifacts and the strawberry cheese cake from the bakery John likes and I’ll forgive this slight.”
There was a rush of movement after that. A group dragged John away to ask about the Bakery and also got him to point out the specific artifacts they needed to find, which left Danny alone in a room with Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
“So!” He began, banishing all of his royal garments so he was back to looking almost human. “ I have about,” he glanced back at his scroll and frowned.” I’d say about another earth day before I have to return to the Realm and handle some things. Figured I’d answer any questions you might have so long as you answer mine.” He saw the slight glint of challenge in Batman’s eyes and knew that this was going to be a fun conversation.

Summoning Game Show 3
Masterpost
I got so inspired and had so much fun writing for part 2 I just kept going. I have determined that this 'fic' should be about 7 parts long total. And here's Part 3, because I'm enjoying the nonsense of this so much.
~~~~~
“Congratulations on successfully finishing the first challenge! You can make your way back to the main room to receive your clue.”
The screen changes once Nightwing is on the stage with them. It now shows what looks like a wheel of fortune puzzle. Three words, four letters, four letters, and seven letters.
Tumblr media
“For your clue, you can choose a letter for the puzzle!” Danny explains. “Since there are four of you we will give you four letters automatically, and you each have the chance to earn an extra letter. For the freebies! E, the most common vowel in English.”
Tumblr media
“Looks like no E’s in this puzzle.” Danny shrugs at the boys with a grin on his face. “For the next three letters, we have the three most common consonants: T, N, and S!”
Tumblr media
“Three letters up, two N’s and one T.” Danny turns away from the screen to face Nightwing. “What letter would you like to choose?” Dick turns to look at Red and Jason “This portion is not collaborative.” Danny cuts in with a small frown, making everyone look back at him. “You earned the letter, you choose the letter. They only get to pick a letter after they’ve earned one.”
Nightwing grimaces slightly. “A?”
“A!” Danny turns back to the screen.
Tumblr media
“One A!” Danny turns back. “The next challenge is a sword fight against Fright Knight! Who would like to sword fight?”
Damian very quickly raised his hand. Tim almost wanted to smack him, but as similar as a bo staff can be, and as much as he doesn’t want Damian in danger, Damian does have the most extensive sword training amongst them.
Danny takes Damian to pick out his sword. “I see that you have a sword already, but the fight is to first blood and you can’t harm Fright Knight with that sword, so that’s kind of unfair. We need to get you a weapon that will actually be able to hit your opponent.” They leave through a side door, but they leave it open so everyone can see all the weapon racks and Danny as he shows Damian around.
Tim leans towards Dick and Jason as Dick takes his seat in the middle chair. “Cool, so our weapons can’t actually hurt them, good to know. What exactly are we going to be asking the King at the end of this?”
“What do you mean?” Dick asks.
“I think he means that if we want to get back to our dimension we don’t want to piss off everyone here by wasting their time.” Jason spits out, sitting up and turning towards them. “They didn’t seem to take too kindly to that idea earlier.”
Dick winces and nods. “We could ask him to deal with the cult that brought us here.”
“What if he kills all of them?”
“Well, you clearly have an idea Red, why don’t you tell us instead of making us guess.” Jason complains.
“Diplomatic relations.” Red states. “New dimension, new culture. We’re here to learn, maybe we could ask to set up a meeting between the King and Batman, or the Justice League.”
“The whole point of this is to get a meeting, what do you think he’s going to do if we use this meeting to ask for a different meeting?”
“Jason has a point. Maybe we could just ask to set up a way to communicate between us?” Dick suggests.
“I have obtained a sufficient weapon.” Damian calls out as he and Danny approach. Danny comes up onto the stage, heading back to the podium, but Damian doesn’t waste his time going back up and instead waits by the short stairs for further instructions. He is holding a katana, similar to the one he is used to, but with a different grip and that is glowing.
“So, since you’re using a semi unfamiliar weapon, Fright Knight is not going to be allowed to use his Soul Shredder, just to make it fair. And just in case he draws first blood, we don’t want to accidentally send anybody to their nightmare dimension!” Danny chirps out cheerfully. “You will be fighting in here, just stay on the main floor and away from bystanders. Fight will immediately end at first blood, no maiming, no killing, no excessive force. No use of powers is permitted.”
Danny gestures to where Fright Knight is exiting the armory with a regular looking broadsword. “This is Fright Knight.” Fright Knight waves as he comes over, stopping next to Damian so they’re both standing beneath the stage.
“Are you both ready?” The two swordsmen take a few steps away from each other and take positions before nodding. “Begin!”
Honorary Fright Knight
I have this idea in my head that some time after Danny, as King Phantom, has established himself as part of/ an alie to the bats, Fright Knight decides he needs to meet these "Gotham Knights" himself to be sure they are worthy of working alongside the King. (And protecting him if need be)
So Phantom tells them, "Hey, my bodyguard just wants to see if yall are up to snuff and make sure yall are "sufficient in combat" or something." And the bats are like, ok, cool! We get to meet another ghost. Supposedly the Ghost Kings own personal bodyguard too?
So they're all in front of the portal and out comes The Fright Knight. They're all tense, worried of starting a potential interdimensional conflict or something. He's looming over all of them, sizing them up, when he spots Damien's sword.
FK: You, Child. Are you skilled with that weapon?
Dami: Tt, of course. I was raised to wield it.
Rest of the bats are worried that might be taken as a threat: 😬
Then Frighty steps up to Damian and brandishes the fucking Soul Shredder and just-
FK: Good. I declare thee worthy of the title of Honorary Knight of the High King Phantom.
And Damien's sword bursts into flames for a moment before going back to normal.
Everyone is reasonably shook. Phantom's kinda embarrased. But Damian? He puffs up his chest with pride at this. Out of all the bats, all his siblings, he was deemed worthy as a knight. Sure it was an honorary knight but still.
Don't know what to do with this, it just seemed funny to me 🤗👻
The league summons Danny in a last ditch effort
They offer their souls and everything to him but he waves off and helps them
It's a quick fight - terrifying to watch
After the battle the flash jokes about how they didn't even have to give up their souls and Danny just laughs
"The offer was pretty stupid actually"
The young looking ghost says, then he grinned, inherently inhuman, he slowly disappeared and the last thing he says rings out loud, echoing through the rumble surrounding them
"I already have all of them after all"
Ghost king danny but instead of using the crown of fire he uses a buger king crown. Maybe because he finds it funny maybe to be petty because he doesn't want to be the ghost king.
Just imagine someone summons the ghost king and some lanky teen shows up in a burger king crown.
Dc x dp prompt where King Danny has completely modernized his court in the Infinite Realms so that the king isn’t the judge, jury, and executioner. That way there is no one power that can be manipulated or biased against anyone. Specifically, when someone is tried for their crimes, the victims testify and a jury deliberates and a judge (King Danny usually) makes a decision.
Joker is called to be tried. He’s either dead himself or enough people he’s killed have come forward asking Danny to try him for their lost lives and he agrees. In order to properly try the Joker, and since they’re in the Infinite Realms, as many of his victims that want to testify can.
It’s a lot.
This includes Jason and whoever else in the Batfam and surrounding people (I’m too tipsy to look up every single relevant person the Joker has murdered). I feel like Joker wouldn’t care even after seeing and hearing the testimonies of his victims and Danny’s judgment is harsh, as it should be.
A lot of the times in fics, i see someone just straight up murdering the Joker and getting the ire of Batman bc of it, but this way, it’s all by the books and no one can say anything against Danny’s ruling bc he’s the King and it’s his subjects that have been victimized.
Concept: inspired by @bluerosefox and they're work about danny demanding the jokers soul. I wanted to write the joker and Danny's interactions too.
Danny groaned as the next set of paperwork was slipped onto his desk.
Joker would soon croak.
He would slip on his own banana peel and fall down the stairs.
Gothem would celebrate that night with alcohol and music. The ghost zone would brace itself for the trial...
Honestly it was bound to happen. It wasn't that danny was surprised. But it would be a long drawn out case. When a human dies they become more of what they are after all.
It's like their souls are condensed to make up their ghostly form. As if their passions were their hearts.
For some that was amazing. Fiery passion can be useful in all sorts of situations, but for joker this would be a nightmare come true.
The ghost looked at him his eyes worried, almost teary.
"Should I alarm the Gothamites of the infinite realms."
Danny thought for a minute, let out a low hum, and thought some more.
He knew what he could do in theory.
If he was to judge the jokers soul in the room that he dies in, the ghost zone would be free from his wrath.
But if the joker defeated him in combat he shuddered at what that monster would do with all the power in the afterlife.
He didn't really think joker could take him down, but knowing others thought the same for him and his predecessor....
So Danny was left with one option.
"Call my knights," he commanded
The fright knight was captain. Head of the army and keeper of the soul shredder.
Danny only needed to borrow it, but when he explained the predicament the ghost dropped to his knees, the metal clang sound echoed through the office. The fright knight began to speak,
"You wish to spare me from looking into the eyes of evil, and I thank you my liege. But I can not and shall not send you alone to your second death."
Danny told him to rise to get off the dirty floor, but he continued.
"As captain of the guards my liege is only under my obligation to the knights under me."
Danny remembered the conversation that made that a possibility. That changed the priority of obligation completely and totally, hopefully for once and for all.
Danny hid a small smile and told him to get of the floor again
............
It didn't take long to find joker amoung the living. He was surrounded by weeping souls unable to move on.
Danny clutched his scale. A gift from clockwork, to a "good and fair king to continue to strive to be better."
Clockwork had, in the end taken up the role of advisor. As such he stood by Danny's right side, his captain to the left.
When they entered the room he was already dead.
The soul of the man was laughing hysterically.
He got louder when he spotted them.
Danny sighed and despite the noise tried to read him his rights.
He argued with each and every one in nonsensical logic.
The third time Danny slapped him across his ghostly face, leaving frostbite and cold crystals on his white cheek.
"I am not batman, I am death. I will not play as he does, I am the ghost king, death himself."
After the rights were read Danny peared into his soul, sticky and tar like, it made him feel ill. He put on the extra gauntlet brought and separated the dead from his deeds.
It felt like lifting a semi, and weighed him down about a foot.
The joker cackled with pride. Danny wondered if he didn't understand the gravity of the situation, or if he didn't care.
Then with the other hand he did the same to himself.
Both sets of deeds were set on the scale at the same time. Danny barely caught the peice of his own ghostly form.
The scale broke the table on its way down, jokers sludgelike, corrupted deeds stuck to it. The scale hadn't twitched once to the other side.
The knights went to pick up the piece of soul and put it back. It took three of them.
Danny put his deeds back were they belonged.
When everything was dead and done, joker was declared guilty and chained down, something he escaped out the window and around the block to avoid.
Danny took out the soul shredder.
It wasn't the fright knights job to play executioner.
Then the joker was blindfolded, he made this difficult via attempted biting, but once it was done, it was done.
Danny didn't ask for a last word.
He took the sword and swung as he had been taught. And as the jokers very soul was torn, the bells rang in Gotham for the first time in Years.
He didn't miss.
~Prompt~
Lady Gotham collects curses like one would collect Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh cards.
Like, she literally buys them of off people. She also offers to trade rare curses for one's she has in excess. Tho, no one takes her up on those offers, which she considers very odd (she's completely clueless that people don't collect curses like post stamps, and she finds it odd that no one wants to trade with her [:(] ).
She keeps them in the form of little cards with all the accompanying stats like attack power, effectiveness, energy cost, evil etc. (They are written in units of measurement only she understands)
ANYWAYS- When Danny need a curse to actually tech Vlad a lesson this time (and maybe something for the GIW) he goes to Lady Gotham to ask her if she has anything that fits his needs. She immediately pulls out 16 different decks of curses.
Danny always jokingly said his luck was cursed, so he offers it up in jest. Lady Gotham immediately slides the 16 ridiculously large decks of curses to Danny and apologizes "I'm sorry I don't have any more, if I knew you where going to offer up such an powerful curse, I would have prepared even more."
Danny ends up picking like 3 very funny and very lesson inducing curses and leaves, somewhat shocked but happy anyway, while Lady Gotham fades away with a smile (She is happy someone finally traded with her)
Meanwhile, on a nearby building Red Hood stares at the spot where the exchange he just witnessed took place, very incredulous and somewhat spooked.
As he goes to rub his eyes, he is completely unaware that he does so trough his helmet, he is also unaware of the rumbling coming from his chest. The Fenton Luck Curse starts striking.
