#Kisarazu Ryou

this has been sitting in my drafts for god knows how long, and given that i have a hetamyu url i should be posting about it more. Anyway! As the local hetamyu and tenimyu lover, it's time for:

HETAMYU CAST MEMBERS IN TENIMYU PROPAGANDA

for the unfamiliar, Prince of Tennis is a classic sports manga from the early '00s that chronicles middle school tennis prodigy Echizen Ryoma and his tennis club's journey to win the national tournament. it spawned a hugely successful series of musicals that launched the careers of countless 2.5D and tokusatsu actors, including half the actors in the Hetamyu cast!

Tenimyu has to date ran 4 seasons: the 1st premiered in 2003 and the 4th season is currently running! All seasons cover the same storylines, but the actors and and some of the songs and/or the instrumental/vocal arrangements for the songs change with every season. Most of the Hetamyu cast who were alumni appeared in the Tenimyu 1st and 2nd.

From 1st season, we have:

Juri

Juri, who plays France in Hetamyu, plays the aggressive but talented delinquent Akutsu Jin in Tenimyu! He originated the role in 1st season during the run of Side Yamabuki feat. St. Rudolph Gakuen in 2005 when he was 24, and continued to appear as a guest in succeeding 1st season myus.

I can't find a clip of his solo song on youtube, so here's Yuki vs Ijii (Courage vs Will), the song that accompanies his character's match against Ryoma. Forgive the crusty video quality, the 00s were a hard time.

Isogai Ryuko

Ryuko, our myu America, portrayed the genius player Chitose Senri! He was first actor to do the role as part of the Shitenhouji A cast, and he debuted in the Treasure Match Shitenhouji feat. Hyotei Gakuen musical in 2007 when he was 20. He doesn't have a solo song, but he has a duet with Tezuka, one of the principal characters: Hyakuren Jitoku no Kiwami vs Saiki Kampatsu no Kiwami (Pinnacle of Hard Work vs Pinnacle of Great Wisdom).

Yamaoki Yuuki

Okki played Yanagi Renji, one of Rikkai's best players, in Tenimyu. He was the second actor to play the role in 1st, replacing Ono Kento, and he debuted in the Final Match Rikkai Part 1 when he was 18 years old. Here's him singing Sago e no Canon, his character duet with his doubles partner Kirihara Akaya, from Final Match Rikkai:

Ueda Yusuke

Yusuke played Tachibana Kippei, Fudomine's dependable captain, in Tenimyu 2nd! He debuted in Seigaku vs Fudomine in 2011 when he was 20 years old. Unfortunately I can no longer upload any clips from Tenimyu 2nd to youtube because of copyright blocking me right out of the gate, so I've linked to a clip of Kejime, his solo from Seigaku vs Shitenhouji (aka the song that should've bagged him the role of Germany from the very beginning):

Hirose Daisuke

Daichan played the twins Ryou and Atsushi Kisarazu! He first appeared in Seigaku vs St. Rudolph~Yamabuki in 2011 as Atsushi Kisarazu when he was 20, and then debuted as Ryou in Seigaku vs Rokkaku in 2012. Unfortunately neither of the twins are major characters, but they do have parts in their team songs! I've linked Rokkaku's team song, Court de Aou (warning for flashing lights):

ROU (Kikuchi Takuya)

ROU played Hyotei's aloof genius player with an iconic deep voice, Oshitari Yuushi (my fav)! He debuted in Seigaku vs Hyotei in 2011 when he was 20. Even back then, he was an incredible singer, and the production certainly knew it; here's him singing an acoustic solo version of Hyotei's theme song, Koori no Emperor, in Dream Live 2011

Sugie Taishi

Taishi, our myu China, played Hitouji Yuuji, a player from Shitenhouji known for his vocal impressions and one half of a *canon* gay couple! He debuted in Seigaku vs Shitenhouji in 2013. Here's him singing his duet with Konjiki Koharu, his character's doubles partner and boyfriend, Geijutsu teki na Tennis:

Honorable mention: The first actor who played Germany in Hetamyu, Omi Yoichiro, was also in Tenimyu 2nd as Mori Tatsunori, one of Tachibana's (Yusuke) teammates!

Hello, I hope this blog is still alive? I’ve been binge reading since I found it lol I love everything you’ve written! If I may ask, Rokkaku boys and their go-to pick up lines? Hcs or a scenario i’m happy with anything (bc there is a severe lack of rokkaku love and that makes me sad)

(i think this is the first ask for all of team rokkaku?? hooray for the other team members!! (o´▽`o)ﾉ*:·ﾟ✧this was actually a lot of fun to write since literally all of these boys are dorks)

Saeki 

“If I could rearrange the alphabet I would put U and I together.”

The smooth talker of the team. Saeki could say any cheesy, stupid pick up line and it would get him brownie points. Just the way he delivers the line is so stunning and flawless whoever he’s flirting with pays less attention to the actual words he’s saying and more to him. Works every time. 

Kurobane 

“Are you a banana because I find you a peeling.”

Arguably the second worst at flirting with people (the first one being Aoi), he tries to think of something cleverer but usually flusters and ends up saying something unexpected and silly. However, he doesn’t dare say them around the rest of the team, because he’d be teased mercilessly. 

Itsuki 

“Did it hurt? When you fell out of heaven?”

True to his curious nature, his pick up line is a classic and fits with his quirky speech patterns. Not only is he able to hit on people, but he’s also able to stay true to his own personality. Asking questions is one of the best ways to get to know someone, which is why this pick up line is his favorite. 

Kisarazu 

“Your hand looks heavy. Here, let me hold it for you.”

He’s definitely bolder than he looks. Of course it’s awkward if whoever he’s trying to flirt with says no, but he’s especially pleased when they’re caught off guard and allow him to hold their hand, proving that the line he uses is successful a good amount of times. 

Shudou 

“If beauty were time, you’d be eternity.”

As a man of few words, a pick up line that’s short and sweet appeals to him the most. Not only does this allow him to flirt with whoever, but he also gets to see their expression, a definite bonus is when they’re embarrassed and don’t know how to respond. 

Amane 

“If you were a chicken, you'd be impeccable.”

He is the king of wordplay and puns, so any pick up line is an instant gold mine for him. He mostly gets a kick out of it because it’s the funniest pick up line he’s ever come up with. It’s also a super bonus if his crush laughs at it; it opens up more opportunities for him to make them laugh with his puns. 

Aoi 

“How much does a polar bear weight? Enough to break the ice!”

Aoi may or may not be hopeless when it comes to romance, but this classic pick up line is a good way for him to see if the person he likes has a (albeit crappy) sense of humor.

Can we get a "who should you fight with score out of 10" but change it to dating for rokaku?

I can’t give them a bad score, no I really can’t. They are all super duper adorable, no way I would advise against one of them. Though no way I would advise against any of the Tenipuri guys in general. I’ll just be biased and dumb for this one, bear with me~ ;)

Oh right, I’ve tried humor. Remember “tried” is the keyword here. I’m just really tired since it’s almost bedtime, my apologies. x’)

Amane Hikaru : 11/10. Top notch dating material, 100% Inui certified. The guy is a breathing marshmallow in human form, he’ll love you to the moon and back, smooch your cheeks and hug the soul out of you nonstop. Beware of the puns, once he triggers that smile of yours, there’s no way you’re going to find a way out. Why would you ever want to, though ?

Aoi Kentarou : 7/10. Still need practice, has clumsy yet adventurous hands despite the little innocent smile plastered on his face. Will pay you ice cream when it’s hot and massage your back if it hurts. Aoi is to date with moderation for the more time spent with him, the greater the headache. Poor boy has an unmatched enthusiasm (and a fairly loud voice). But he’s a sweetheart. So date him anyway.

Itsuki Marehiko : 9/10. Mastered the art of natural seduction, can charm you without even meaning to. Highest romantic degree out of any of the Rokkaku guys. Will take you to the beach to gather shellfishes and narrate you the tales of the sea while gazing dreamily in the distance. Powerful breath, though, might undo your hair if you’re not careful. Must date.

Kisarazu Ryou : 8/10. Fluent in binary.He is the ultimate oddball of love. He will give you free food and hold your hand while you sleep. Some say his hair can catch electromagnetic waves. No it’s not true. But it smells like magnolia and is smooth as silk. He really likes his hair. Very much so. But he definitely likes you more and even let you touch it. This is the greatest proof of love, need to date.

Kurobane Harukaze : 7/10. A true force of nature who blushes at the word “romance”. Loves your smile the most  and would fight against all odds to keep it alive. Pinches your cheeks and loves to play the tickle monster. He’ll take you to the mall and buy the little things that make your eyes glow. Can help your digesting process if he pats you on the back, though, don’t get him too overjoyed. Date to your heart’s content.

Saeki Kojirou : 8/10. Can make weather forecasts sound like delicate poetry, loves quoting plays to feed the mood. Will take you to watch the sunset and whisper sweet metaphysical nonsenses into your ears. A pro at head patting, maybe too much so - he might mistake your fluffy hair for a dog’s. The legend says he purifies the road he walks, though it has never been proven. Date now for a chance to unveil the truth.

Shudou Satoshi : ?/10. Good to date, but hard to grasp. He has earned the name of the “mystery man”. You don’t know he is here, but he supports you in the dark at all times. He carries your belongings for you. He listens to you and sometimes leaves notes on your desk. The downside, though, you can’t hear or see him for he is swift as the coursing river and mysterious as the dark side of the moon. To date absolutely if you don’t mind having two shadows.
