#ILIFT TOP HAT DRIVER#
#ILIFT TOP HAT MANUAL#
#ILIFT TOP HAT PROFESSIONAL#
Sure, cases can be made that the 40-yard dash has little to do with the movement requirements of American football, but there’s no doubt that players are being scouted on their raw ability to move with speed. I have worked with college football players that missed making it to the NFL strictly because they ran a bit too slow in their 40-yard dash.
#ILIFT TOP HAT PROFESSIONAL#
How many times have we heard that? Anyone who has worked with team sport athletes understands that in order to make it to a professional level, athletes MUST have the speed necessary to do so. Eventually I'll get around to removing them and seeing if loosening with an impact is possibly able to unstick them.Speed kills. What I did not realize at the time, though, was that sustained impacting like that tends to slam the adjusters toward the full-loose side, jamming them in place. Still had to keep the shaft from spinning, but they went together way quicker. So, sharp fella that I am, I grabbed my 3/8" cordless impact and used it to tighten the rears. I converted to NB mounts and remember tightening the front by hand. Maybe adding 1% more wear to my bumpstops or something.Īfter my last re-install, my rear rebound adjusters did become seized, but I'm 99% sure it wasn't from grabbing the shaft (.). Either with Knipex pliers, plain old-school channel locks, or, my preference, the swedish pipe wrench (no, that's not a euphemism for a sex move). I've assembled them by grabbing the larger 'ball' section at the top multiple times. I've been afraid of clamping anything on the shaft to stop it from rotating for fear of damaging the shaft. The lockwasher under the shock nut looks compressed. I don't know if the shock shaft is moving in the mount, or if bearings or other parts in the mounts are moving.
#ILIFT TOP HAT DRIVER#
I tried hitting it a few times with a 1/4"impact driver with a right angle attachment, but it didn't seem to make a difference. I was never able to get the shock nut to 10 ft*lbs since the shock shaft spun before this happened. I verified the torque on the upper mount nuts. I believe this is where the noise is coming from. I can feel some movement between the upper shock nut and the mount. When I do this I hear a noise from the upper shock mount area. I think what I am feeling is movement before the shock starts to resist. With the car up on the lift I can feel some "free play" when I lift on the rear lower control arms. A bad noise from what sounded like the upper shock area when driving over bumps after install. I suppose the next test to confirm the cause of the issue, would be to swap the Flyin'Miata tops left and right, while leaving the shockabsorder and spring on their current sides, to see if the noise moves to the other side with the top hat?ĭid you figure this out? I might be having a similar issue with the FM 2.5 kit (konis and purple top hat). In total it's traveled no more than 150km (approx 90miles). The vehicle drives great, handles well but the noise is horrible and concerning. Refitted the new shock absorbers and had the wheels aligned. I've refitted the old shock absorbers incase it was caused by them - no change.
#ILIFT TOP HAT MANUAL#
In attempt to resolve it I've gone back and loosened off all the suspension bolts and retorqued to Service Manual torque specs. Does this sound like the symptom of a failed spherical bearing? At higher highway speeds (110km/h - approx 70mph) it does seem to ease up and almost become not noticeable. Any small bump in the road seems to cause it. A friend described it as 'chatty' which seems to be a fitting description. Recently reassembled I took it for a test drive and have an awful noise coming from the rear left corner - it's a rattly, clunky noise. my 89 NA6 was off the road for a year or so during which time I replaced all the suspension bushes, ball joints, tie rod ends and shock absorbers, fitted the Flyin'Miata NA Rear Upper Shock Mounts and Bumpstops, frame rail braces, braided brake lines, updated to 15" wheels with Bridgestone RE003 tyres, fitted a 2 1/4" exhaust and headers. Due to our first son being born, renovating the house, work being busy, etc. What is the signs and symptoms of a failed spherical bearing in the Flyin'Miata NA Rear Upper Shock Mounts ?

This 1965 Ford Mustang fastback (Chassis 5T09A146475) is built for spirited road performance with a Terlingua paint scheme found much less often than the Shelby stripes commonly seen on modified fastbacks. The build sheet is impressive, with a dyno-tuned 302, Tremec 5-speed, 4-wheel disk brakes, Cobra Automotive suspension, and a stiffened unibody. The original A-code 289 and 4-speed transmission are included (needing rebuild), and the car is a turn-key driver with a aged patina that makes it perfect for road events
This car was originally delivered to the state of Florida and discovered in North Carolina wearing its original time-faded body panels and interior. The seller says that the car is amazingly fun to drive, partially because there is no power steering, power brakes, A/C, or radio. We had the same list in our ’65 fastback, and so did the ’65 Shelby cars before they were softened in ’66, and wouldn’t do otherwise if we have one again. Mechanical enhancements from Cobra Automotive are as follows: ■Big spindle kit w/larger bearings (as per the Trans Am cars) ■Billet aluminum racing hub kit ■Deep Trans-Am lug nuts ■Rollerized coil spring pivots ■Road race coil springs (600 lb. with polyurethane spring insulators) ■Koni adjustable shock absorbers w/Koni urethane bushings kit ■Competition front cross member (used on the Boss 302 Trans Am cars) ■Super duty tie rod end kit ■Quick steer kit w/frame pin and rollerized bearing kit w/idler arm pitman arm ■Competition master cylinder upgrade with stainless steel brake lines ■Adjustable brake proportioning valve ■Competition front & rear disc brakes ■Adjustable brake push rod ■Roller bearing steering kit ■Stage 1 Road Race Rear Suspension ■Shelby style under ride traction bars ■Lowering blocks (1 inch) ■Competition kill switch (battery) ■Rotunda racing mirrors ■GT 350 hood pin kit; Other upgrades include: ■Control Freak Suspension upper & lower control arm set ■Torque Thrust aluminum wheels ■Sub-frame connectors ■Heavy duty racing clutch ■1-inch competition front sway bar ■Halogen head lights (Tri-bar) ■LED tail lights ■Battery relocation to trunk ■Electrical rewire (Ron Francis Retro kit) ■Headlight wire mesh stone guards;
The engine was built on a 1992 302 roller block and was broken in on the dyno and tested at 300hp and 315 lb-ft of torque. It has 3000 miles since the rebuild at West Carleton Automotive in Ottawa, Canada, and was assembled in the style of the ’65 Shelby GT 350 with black painted block, Cobra valve covers, hi-po 14″ air cleaner assembly, and ceramic coated Tri-Y headers. Other details on the build include: ■Hot tank and mag tested parts ■Sonic inspection on block ■Align hone ■Pedestal rockers ■E303 roller cam ■Roller lifters ■Eagle connecting rods ■Speed Pro pistons Speed Pro oil pump and pick-up ■Clevite cam bearing set ■ARP fasteners ■True roller timing set ■MSD electronic distributor ■140 amp heavy duty alternator ■Heavy duty fuel pump ■K & N air filter ■Competition high capacity oil pan ■4 core aluminum radiator w/ electric fan ■Dual exhaust with Shelby type glass pack mufflers matching revs. There is also an alarm and kill switch installed
The car still features the original seats, headliner, and door panels, and is fully original apart from the new original style carpet and one arm rest. The fold-down rear seat remains intact and a quality wood steering wheel from Tony D. Branda has been added. The dash has the R-model instrument panel with AutoMeter tach, speedo, fuel, water temp, amp., oil pressure, and volts gauges, as well as a competition oil pressure warning light. The ’65 Shelby radio block-off plate means the driver gets to concentrate on matching revs. There is also an alarm and kill switch installed.

Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 Berlinetta - 1975 by Perico001 Chassis n° 18537 Coachwork by Pininfarina Bonhams : The Autumn Sale 2020 Estimated : € 80.000 - 100.000 Unsold Autoworld www.autoworld.be Brussels - Belgium September 2020 "Most important was the double overhead cam engine. Like Rolls-Royce, no horsepower figure was quoted, but surely it was at least 320. More important was its massive amount of torque. Taken together with the turbine-like characteristics of the V12 engine, it mattered little which gear one was in or at what speed." – Stanley Nowak on the 356 GT4 2+2, Ferrari on the Road. By the mid-1960s, 50 percent of all Ferraris produced were being built with four seats, and the 365 GT4 2+2, introduced towards the end of 1972, was the biggest and best equipped of this family of four-seaters that had begun with the 250 GTE back in 1960. Flagship of the Maranello range, it reaffirmed Ferrari's determination to compete with the world's finest luxury saloons. Based on the preceding 365 GT 2+2, albeit lower, longer and wider, the newcomer was fitted with a four-cam version of the Gioacchino Colombo-designed 4.4-litre V12 engine while retaining its predecessor's mechanical underpinnings. Thus the '4' came with all-independent suspension featuring Koni's self-levelling system at the rear, while further refinements included mounting the engine and drive train in rubber bushes to insulate the car's occupants from noise and vibration, and offering air conditioning and ZF power-assisted steering as standard equipment. A total of only 524 of the luxurious Grandes Routières had been completed by the time production ceased in 1976. According to information supplied by Ferrari historian Marcel Massini, this beautifully presented 365 GT 2+2 was completed at Ferrari's Maranello factory in May 1975 and supplied via the official Ferrari dealer Crepaldi of Milan to its first owner. The original colour combination was Azzuro Hyperion (a light blue metallic) with Nero Cogolo leather interior, the same as now. The first owner was a Mrs Bruna Dondoni of Pavia in Northern Italy, who kept the car until 1982. The Ferrari was subsequently registered in Turin and more recently was owned by a resident of Pisa (from 2004 onwards). In 2014 the car passed into the hands of a well-known Italian nobleman in Tuscany (also the director of a bank) who owned it until 2019. The next owner commissioned a repaint in the original colour and at the same time the car received a through service at the Rome-based Ferrari dealer Samocar, for which invoices are available totalling almost €17,000. More recently the carburettors were cleaned, the air and oil filters changed, and the distributor caps and ignition leads renewed. Offered with Italian registration documents and the aforementioned invoices, this beautiful 365 GT 2+2 represents a wonderful opportunity to purchase a classic Ferrari combining the legendary carburettor-fed 12-cylinder engine and manual gearbox together with accommodation for four passengers in arguably one of the best colour combinations for the model. https://flic.kr/p/2jFGnbX

How to Choose Best Shocks
Which struts are better
Explain why the car needs shock absorbers, there is no need. To a greater or lesser extent, all motorists understand this. And sooner or later, they are faced with the need to replace them. This is where the problem of choice arises for the post-Soviet man. The market offers a large number of brands of shock absorbers, various not only in price, but also in design. Moreover, even within the same brand, you can find various models, each of which is often advertised as the most optimal. Let's try to figure it out.
According to the device, the bulk of the shock absorbers offered for ordinary cars is divided into oil and gas oil, commonly referred to as gas, both examples here https://truckpowerup.com/best-shocks-for-dodge-ram-2500-diesel.
In the first of them, oil is used as a working fluid, and in the second, gas is additionally pumped under pressure. We will not analyze the nuances of the device of those and others within the framework of this article, their consumer qualities are much more important.
Gas-oil shock absorbers are approximately thirty percent more expensive than oil shock absorbers.
What's better?
Gas-oil shock absorbers better keep the road on the "comb", that is, when the road surface is speckled with small transverse bumps. Due to its characteristics, gas-oil shock absorbers, figuratively speaking, better push the car wheels to the road, making the car's behavior in corners more reliable. These properties are most fully manifested when cornering in extreme conditions and when driving fast on bad roads. Therefore, for people who value handling in a car and enjoy the correct behavior of a car in corners, it is better to prefer gas-oil shock absorbers.
However, the differences in characteristics are not so great, so oil shock absorbers are quite suitable for drivers who prefer a quiet ride from point A to point B. Allegedly, the lower durability of oil shock absorbers is not confirmed by any official studies, but their price, as already mentioned, is somewhat lower.
Brands
If you want to know which racks are better, you need to consider the products of the most popular manufacturers. Number one in the Russian market is the Japanese company Kayaba, which offers high-quality chassis components at reasonable prices. In its assortment you can find both oil, gas or combined shock absorbers. A significant advantage of Kayaba racks is their durability, as well as full compliance with the declared characteristics so be careful when purchasing fully gas racks, as they can completely change the way you drive your car. The only negative is the huge number of fakes the Kayaba inscription or the KYB logo is put on their products by many third-party companies that produce low-quality products,
It is also worth paying attention to the Dutch Koni racks this company is famous for the fact that its products are delivered to the conveyor of such enterprises as Lamborghini and Bentley. However, it also produces racks for cheaper vehicles, including small cars.
If you want to install oil racks that will exactly match the parameters of the original parts of the car, you should contact a Bilstein representative. She is known for delivering her products to the assembly line of such well-known manufacturers as BMW, Mercedes, Toyota and Honda, which can already say a lot about the quality of the racks of the German company. If you choose racks from the Bilstein sports or tuning series, then you will get products with excellent characteristics that ensure the stability of the car in any situation and allow you to use a very wide range of adjustments. At the price of the Bilstein racks, they just do not reach the products of the Dutch competitor, so you should prepare in advance for their purchase.
The best option for the ratio of cost and quality parameters are Sachs oil racks. This company is part of the international concern ZF, with which almost all car manufacturers in the world collaborate. The company's lineup includes both oil shock absorbers with settings similar to the factory ones, as well as sports products filled with gas or having a gas support. In addition, Sachs racks are easily adjustable, which allows them to be used for all occasions including for serious car tuning. The cost of Sachs racks is comparable to Kayaba products, however, some models may be more expensive due to the use of fundamentally different technologies.
In addition, you can give preference to other manufacturers of quality parts for the chassis of the car.
An economical option for a domestic car will be high-quality Lemforder or Topran racks. Regardless of which brands you prefer, you need to carefully monitor that you do not sell a fake, since in this case you can’t talk about the good characteristics of the racks.
Suspension to increase ground clearance on the Dodge RAM2500
Owners of the Dodge RAM 1500 and RAM 2500 know how well the front shock absorbers of the Bilstein B8 5100 series are which have the ability to rearrange the spring cups and thereby, without changing the standard springs, it is possible to increase the clearance of the car.
But also the owners of these legendary pickups are aware of the problem with the front springs, which, alas, are rather weak on these cars and quickly sag. We represent the availability in our warehouse, a set of front reinforced, lift suspension Bilstein B8 6112 (47-242548). The kit includes 2 shock absorbers, 2 springs and chippers with cups. The height adjustment is carried out in the same way as the snap ring as in the B85100 series
Unlike other suspensions and manufacturers, the shock absorber comes reinforced in the body and valve. The shock absorber body is not 46 mm, but 60 mm in diameter, which significantly increases its performance. The lift adjustment for this suspension is from 0 to 66 mm. Like all pendants of this class, Bilstein produces with galvanized coating.
Own experience
The owner of the Dodge Ram 2500 asked to improve the suspension of his pickup truck, with the motivation “everything seems to be fine, but I would like to ride the grader faster and softer, what can I do?”
Since there was no problem of significant alteration of the suspension using coilover struts, after measuring it was proposed to install shock absorbers 2.5 "stroke 12" with remote tanks at the rear and 2.5 "stroke 10" with remote tanks at the front, preserving the original elastic suspension elements. Given the individual selection of shock absorbers for stiffness, an increase in oil volume, remote compensation tanks, an increase in the back stroke of +100 mm, front 50 mm improvement in ride quality is guaranteed not to the point of feeling like “it seems a little better”, but radically better.
The rear shock absorbers were installed in the original ear ear mounts.Refueling with nitrogen, leaving the garage, a short test drive on the broken asphalt of the garage cooperative, on the tram rails.

Runge RS010
The RS010 has a full steel tube frame offering excellent rigidity, this is then clothed in clothed with a “Superleicht” (super light) aluminum tube form that supports the aluminum body – a similar (but different) technique to that used by Carrozzeria Touring for their Superleggera bodies used on vehicles like the Aston Martin DB5.As you may expect, the Runge RS010 tips the scales at just 1,350 lbs or 612 kgs. Power is provided by a hand-built Runge 2.3 litre flat-four engine with two twin-choke Weber carburetors producing 200 hp. It’s mounted in a rear-mid location and it sends power back through a four-speed “Longbox” transmission to the rear wheels. Cruising speed in fourth gear is said to be comfortable at 80+ mph. The tubular steel chassis is fitted with independent front and rear suspension that includes Koni adjustable shock absorbers, and the vehicle has hydraulic drum brakes on all four corners.
Unusually for a lightweight sports racing car Rünge wanted to ensure that the RS010 was comfortable to drive, even on a daily basis if the owner wanted, so he fitted with the car with insulation and sound deadening, as well as a 12 volt electric air conditioning system, carpeting, leather-trimmed alloy seats, and doors that open to reveal cut away sections of the roof to allow easier entry and exit.
The inside of the Runge RS010 us just as beautiful as the exterior, the signature Runge steering wheel sits in front of traditional instrumentation. A clock from a Soviet MiG jet is fitted to the centre of the dashboard and all the controls and toggle switches are taken from 1950s-era aircraft.

The Best Old School Classic Chevy Muscle Cars
Tumblr media
Being one of America’ s most celebrated plus popular auto brands, discover some of the best classic chevy muscles cars that’ ll make your heart pumping.
Did you know that Chevy’ s i9000 first year of creation was in 1912 ? Chevrolet, later on, went on to produce some of the most popular muscle vehicles in history. We have put together information to help you explore some of the best traditional chevy muscle cars actually created.
Continue reading to get that need for swiftness adrenaline going.
Chevelle SS 454
The particular Chevelle was a classic throughout the 60s and 70s. This became known as an innovative style because of its 360 horsepower ranking. If you own one of these muscle mass cars nowadays, you might have many people trying to buy the car a person because it is one of the most desired classic cars out there.
If you still pull out this particular classic from your garage every single once in a while you might want to add some personal privacy with window tint. You won’ t have to worry about ruining the particular classic look of the vehicle with these window tinting tips .
Monte Carlo SS
The Monte Carlo was one of the traditional muscle cars of the 1980s. This Chevy car includes a V8 engine in it however it is still pretty lightweight. Individuals who were racing for red slips love the Monte Carlo because of its 256 horsepower correct out of the production line.
This is a big valuable car and was the reason that will NASCAR chose to drive Chevys as their cars of choice within the early 80s.
Chevy Biscayne
When the Biscayne very first came out in 1958 it had been actually a lightweight vehicle with no-frills. In 1966 Chevy came out with a new design that featured a Big block 427 V8 and a seven. 0-liter engine.
This made the Biscayne a super-fast muscle vehicle with 425 horsepower below its hood.
Chevy El Camino
This particular classic car was launched at the end of 1959 as an answer to the particular Ford Utility coupe the Ranchero. In 1964 a brand new El Camino came from the production line with a new entire body and in 1968 the Este Camino SS396 model was launched.
The 1968 design had a 6. 5-liter OF V8 engine, and in 1971 Chevy made it with a 7. 4lt V8 LS6 engine. The particular 1971 model came from the line with 450 hp, ready to ride.
Shelby GT350
In 1965 this legendary car was launched and it was so effective that some buyers throughout the first year felt it had been too hardcore. In 1966 Shelby either deleted, changed, or made some points optional such as the fiberglass engine, the adjustable Koni shock absorbers, and the fully locking Of detroit Locker rear differential.
Shelby GT500
The particular GT 500 Shelbys included 355 horsepower right off the availability line in 1967. It was a faster Mustang that will ran a quarter-mile within the mid to low 14-second bracket.
GRAND TOURING 500s offered more fun beneath the hood compared to the GT 350s. The 350s were gentle and simple which was ideal for the track, but the 500s were the car you needed back then if you wanted to earn a drag race.
Chevy Camaro IROC-Z
During the 80s the Camaro line had become unpopular but the 1985 Chevy IROC-Z was widely accepted among the best muscle cars of that period. It’ s fast velocity, quick handling, and enjoyable driving experience made it well-known.
Although there have already been plenty of other Camaro’ s i9000 created in history, the fact that this unique model was accepted during a period no one wanted Camaro’ ersus is a big deal.
Chevy Nova DURE
The particular Chevy Nova was a smaller sized car but it was packed under the hood. The base design started with a 2 . 5l engine that only acquired 90 horsepower but in late 1960s a new model was released with a six. 5-liter V8 engine. The particular 1968 model came from the lot with 375 hp and Chevy made suspension system and transmission updates too.
Although the Volkswagen was not as sought after because the Camaro it was cheaper plus less expensive to insure though it was available with the exact same 375-hp solid-liter L78 396 like the Chevelle and the Camaro.
The L78 Nova’ s are uncommon because Chevy only constructed 667 of the L78 versions in 1968. In 1969 they brought production as much as almost 5000 because of the requirement. The Nova was underestimated but it could sneak up on the 428-powered Ford and defeat it.
Corvette
We can’ t possess a list of Chevy classics and not mention the Corvette. This is because American muscle car as possible get. The Corvette was initially introduced in 1953 plus since then has seen a variety of changes and versions.
The 1966 design came with a 7. 0l engine and the 1973 model moved up to a 7. 4-liter motor. In 1967, the L88 version capped the hp at 430.
Chevy Impala DURE
Within 1967 the Impala DURE had a new design upgrade along with some safety up-dates. At that time the Impala just had 5 horses greater than the Corvette (390 horsepower) even though it was much weightier and much bigger.
In 1968 Chevy chose to drop a 425-hp, iron-block L-72 427 into the Impala which was the same engine that will powered the 1966 Corvette. You can opt for a Turbo-Hydramatic four hundred three-speed automatic or a Muncie four-speed.
COPO Camaro
Chevy stepped along with this Camaro in 1966 when the Ford Mustang has been rising in popularity. The particular COPO was created when Sawzag Yenko put in a seven. 0-liter engine that experienced 435 horsepower. This is a desired classic because only 201 had been made.

Offered with Italian registration documents and the aforementioned invoices, this beautiful 365 GT 2+2 represents a wonderful opportunity to purchase a classic Ferrari combining the legendary carburettor-fed 12-cylinder engine and manual gearbox together with accommodation for four passengers in arguably one of the best colour combinations for the model. https://flic.kr/p/2jFGnfu

Name: Areg De Matos
Car: 2000 Volkswagen Jetta TDI
Hometown: Montreal, Canada
Car Club: N/A
Your story about how you got into car scene:
AD: It all started when I was a little kid playing with toy cars and Legos then moving to Bikes and R/Cs and now into something a little more costly. I would say I got into the car scene before even owning a car or having a license. I would do a lot of reading on local forums. When I got my first car I immediately started attending local car meets and shows starting with “JDM Mondays” back in the day and also the Euro Tuesdays at the Orange Julep. As a matter, a fact I have taken it upon myself to set up a Facebook page and promote it since this meet has been going on for over 15years via word-of-mouth.
Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/JulepEuroTuesdays/
Tell us about the current modifications on your car and where do you find your inspiration:
AD: Besides any paint work on new parts, I would say that almost all the other work was done by myself. I am mechanically inclined but have no mechanics degree (self-taught).
Contrarily to what many people think, the car is static and I always ride it this way as I actually do enjoy it! (And I do drive it A LOT). I have owned the car for 3 years now and an over 100K KM in 3 summers. The car now has 440K KM on it and I am the 2nd owner.
Exterior mods:I have always been into the OEM+ look. Most aftermarket exterior parts come from a European spec car or from “body kits” offered by aftermarket companies back in the day. Most of these parts are very hard to find and required countless months of constant research to acquire and also very expensive.

Engine:
The car is equipped with a 1.9L TDI (ALH) engine from the factory. As far as what is done to it here is a list:
-Garret GTB2260VK turbo with a billet wheel
-Stage 2 Colt cam
-Integrated engineering Rods
-ARP head studs
-11mm injection pump
-Bosio Race 520 Nozzles
-Lift Pump
-FMIC
-Custom Tune by MRTunning (35psi peak)
-etc. (probably forgetting many other things)
Suspension/ Wheels:
-Front FK Coilovers & Koni Rear Struts + 16k Swift springs
-Euro Image Billet “Half caps” and Polo strut bushings
-Raised subframe (1inch)
-Engine spacers (1 inch)
-R32/TT control arms and Spindles
-Rear beam centering plates
-OZ Pegasus 17” 3 piece wheels
 Future plans for your car:
AD: I am currently working on a full tuck on my engine bay and will be updating my suspension. Next winter, I would like to complete the bay, by shaving and repainting it.
The car is basically where I would like it to be but I would like to give a little attention to the interior as I do not have much done. I would also like to get the head on my engine reworked and upgrade the engine to handle even more boost bring the RPMS up.
If money was not an issue, what would be your dream car/build?
AD: We all know this is a trick question…the possibilities are endless!
Where can we find you? (Social media)
AD: On Instagram @Sotam123

Gaze into the Aquamarine blue of this Emory Outlaw Porsche Speedster The gearheads at Emory Motorsports have created another stunner in the Porsche Outlaw scene. For all you Porsche nerds out there, youll know the companys Speedsters were made between 1954 and 1958, replaced by the Convertible D in 1959. This custom car represents a fictional 1959-1/2 Transitional model. The car started out as a rusted hulk, with a roof so badly damaged that Rod Emory and his team decided to ditch it entirely. The client for the vehicle was fully on board with a Speedster look, so Emory Motorsports obliged, hand-forming the aluminum tonneau cover and headrest fairing. In the trunk is a classic Porsche flat-four, but now displacing 2.4-litres and making 205 horsepower thanks to Weber 48 IDA carburetors and MSD twin-plug ignition. The engine drives the rear wheels only thanks to a lightweight four-speed gearbox. The suspension has also been heavily revised with a 901-style independent rear setup, as well as adjustable Koni dampers and upgraded sway bars. Brake rotors and calipers borrow heavily from the 911, and the 15-by-5-inch wheels with Dunlop SP 5000 tires stick it to the ground. To finish it all off, the car is painted in a period-correct Aquamarine Metallic paint, with a beautiful contrasting red
