A new discovery has been made in Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary!

Researchers from NOAA, the state of Michigan, and Ocean Exploration Trust have discovered an intact shipwreck resting hundreds of feet below the surface of Lake Huron. The shipwreck has been identified as the sailing ship Ironton. Magnificently preserved by the cold freshwater of the Great Lakes for over a century, the 191-foot Ironton rests upright with its three masts still standing.

US F-16 Fighter Jet Shoots Down a UFO Over Lake Huron, the Third UFO in Three Days

A UFO ‘an unidentified flying object’ was shot down by a US F-16 fighter jet on the U.S.-Canada border over Lake Huron. The octagonal-shaped object is the third in a row of recent UFO sightings, over the last three days. The decision of bringing down the aerial object on the orders of US President Joe Biden. The UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) is a concern for the US administration as over a hundred such events have taken in the past few years.

The United States of America considers the UFO as a spy balloon and not an extra-terrestrial event. But nothing is confirmed as yet about the identification of the octagonal-shaped object that was shot down. Being the fourth flying object to have centered over Lake Huron, Michigan, the incident is in line with the shooting down of UFOs in US and Canadian airspace on Friday and Saturday. Rep. Jack Bergman in his tweet wrote that the American people deserve more answers than what they have.

Interesting observations were made in a report about the UFO sightings by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. It reported several such incidents of UFO sightings, which are on increase between March 2021 and August 2022. A total of 247 new events like these took place in this duration, while 144 UFO sightings happened between 2004 and 2021. And most of these were experienced by the pilots and personnel of the US Navy and Air Force.

The report also indicated that multiple factors come into effect when it is to detecting UAP, its observation, and findings about UFO activity. Some of these factors are atmospheric impact, illumination, weather, and accurate interpretation of collected sensor data. ODNI and AARO depend on the recollection of events by the observer recording in the UAP reports. And then the remaining depends on the captured data and its interpretation with initial assessments.

It is only a few of the UAP incidents as per the ODNI and AARO that may attribute to variance and irregularities to sensors, such as errors in equipment or operator. Nonetheless, UFOs endanger flight safety and risk collision hazards in the air. Aircraft operators have to accommodate flight response and patterns to unauthorized activity in the airspace, which takes place, not in the purview of air traffic control authorities, instructions, and standards.
