5 TIPS TO DO A COMPANY BACKGROUND CHECK
Nowadays companies run fake promotions that their employees are happy, the employee gets the salary on time and the employee is taken care of. But when you join then you come to know that a good shop is a dull dish. Good things are shown on LinkedIn and other social media platforms. That’s why I am telling you some tips through which you can do background check of the company and before joining a new company, takes a decision only after checking these things thoroughly.
1. Company Registration and Certification:
As soon as you have a call for an interview of a company, then you can find out online whether the company is registered or not. Because many companies tell you that it is 10 or 20 years old. But it is a startup. Being a startup is not a bad thing, the bad thing is not giving the right information.
2. Company's scope and description:
In which field the company works and whether the job role it is giving you is related to it or not. It is very important to check this. Many times the role that companies hire you for is 10-20% of that role and the rest has nothing to do with your skills even far away. In this way, because of working in other fields, the real growth of your skills stops, you also leave the job after being frustrated which spoils your career. That's why it is important that you already know the work profile of the company.
3. Check the Employee Policy and Rules of the company:
Ask your human resource manager for information about the company's Employee Policy and Rule Book. This will save you from wasting a lot of time. Because when you join the company, then if you come to know about the employee policy or rule and you are not comfortable in it, then you will have to do the job in the same company or you will leave and then look for a new job, which will help you a lot. All the time it will be bad.
4. Get feedback about the company from the company's previous employees:
Take feedback about the company from the employees who have worked in the company before. For this, you can take the help of social media platforms like LinkedIn. Keep in mind that you have to take feedback from the previous employee and not from the present employee.
5. Check company review online:
By the way, online Google reviews cannot be trusted because the marketing team of the company itself does maximum time reviews and ratings and I write exaggeratedly about the company. But you have to give more importance to the negative reviews along with the positive reviews and keep in mind the problem that they talked about. Many employees after leaving the job gives real reviews to make other employees aware, which you may find basic negative but there are truths.
I hope this will helpful in your job and career!
