Once again, Robert Louis Stevenson comes to intervene with my life beyond the grave.

Was re-organizing my bookshelf when I found my english edition of Treasure island. Inside it was this bookmark I made many years ago from watercolor test paper (I used to cut them to strips and write a quote I found interesting into them ).

The quote reads: "Our business in this world is not to succeed, but to continue failing in good spirit."

I had totally forgotten this quote exists. But right in this moment, when I feel like I have my treasure map of life the wrong way, and that I will never succeed in anything, never be good at anything, nor become anything, I find this very comforting.

Sharing this with the thought that maybe some one else will also find this idea comforting.
