WARNING : I'm just an addict ... addicted to music. There are people who are born to make music, o8 thers are born to hearing. Whenever was part of this second group. Maybe it's. a habit, I gotta use, even if it 's rock, jazz or the quiet storm. Great pictures of the things I love - music, painting, books, photography, architecture, design, women, and more. I love music more than lasagna. Better to burn out than fade away. The older you get, the better life gets. But time also seems to be accelerating, the clock running too fast. So, looking at those early days, everything is very slow, stretched, and great significance. The most recent time, I spent busy with simple things.People think rock and roll is only about teenage rebellion, but why can not exist old rebel too? "Quickly! There is no time. Sound the alarm!"
‘Marissa was quick to rush to the alarm button and punch it as hard as she could. Sirens sounded soon after.’

“What’s the situation soldier?! Is the Kaiser in danger? Cultist attack? Robots? Vampires? The former Kaiser’s ex girlfriends?!”

A masked entity appeared before the once well known kaiser and remained in an incorporeal state for some time before finally speaking.
“Onyx Allfather, a war hardened and experienced warrior of the Changeling Empire....to say I have the pleasure of meeting you mask to face is quite the honor......consssssidering you’ve done a great deal ssssupplying the Thereafter with a fresh supply of SOULS in your lifetime we collectorssss are fascinated with your talentssss....alassss, your time among the living issss....”
he pauses and a raspy breath escapes almost like a troubled shudder and he reveals himself in physical form.
Tumblr media
“I’m sssorry....,but Skully and I are unable to make you any offersss at a ssssecond chance of life.....it pains me to say even though you and my pupil have come to view one another as allies it will eventually have to come to an end, but do not fret for I do have an offer for you in the afterlife if you’d like a place as one of our valued collectorsss........This is as much that I can offer to you and this deal will not expire so when your end comes pleassse do consider working with me and I can promise your loved ones will never forget you and that they will be in good hands......This isss thanksss for the good deedsss you’ve done in your life and we have seen that you are worthy of a painless end.”

Party at my place
Champagne all around, finally an end to the horror of the Land. Finally reality will be hitting them hard there and I’m so happy MTV finally came to and got shit done.
No I’m not going to talk about the kids or the animals because I’m literally sick with worry over their safety, especially Marissa and Ensley because those two have no safe haven unlike Kaiser and Jace

• january book recommendations
This one is for fans of A Court of Thorns and Roses. You know, stories where young girls are either swept away into another magical world or are already in a magical world where they fall into a complicated, longing, totally hit you in the feels and make you cry because you wish you had a boyfriend/girlfriend like their love interest, etc, etc. If you've devoured the entire ACOTAR series and want more books similar to it, just keep reading. We hope we can help you find your next addition to your TBR list:
1. "Dorothy Must Die" by Danielle Paige
A re-telling of The Wizard of Oz with a modern twist, Dorothy Must Die is definitely one of my personal favourites. It's about a teenage girl, Amy Gumm, who is strong and defiant, despite being bullied at school and neglected by her substance-using mother. On a particularly bad stormy night, when she is once again left alone in her trailer, a tornado picks it up and transfers her to Oz. But it is not like the movies, at all; Oz is in turmoil, and it’s all because of the infamous Dorothy Gale, who is sucking all the magic and life out of it. The only way to stop her is to kill her companions; she must remove the tin woodman’s heart, steal the scarecrow’s brain, take the lion’s courage, and then - Dorothy must die.
2. “Stealing Snow” by Danielle Paige
Another marvelous read by Danielle Paige where she dives back into the world of magical lands and dangerous, villainous rulers. This time, it’s about a girl called Snow, who has been locked up in an asylum most of her life for trying to walk through a mirror as a child. Despite her bleak life, Snow falls in love with Bale, a troubled boy with a catastrophic love for flames. One night, Bale is kidnapped, pulled through a portal into a world she’d been dreaming of, and the only way to save him is to escape from Whittaker and journey into a magical world that has been waiting for the day she would return. There she meets many allies and even manages to catch two intriguing boy’s eyes. She must learn to control and harness her magical powers into deadly weapons to fulfill the prophecy and defeat her father, the king. But in a world of treacherous magic, who can Snow really trust?
3. “Red Queen” by Victoria Aveyard
This is more in league with the likes of the Hunger Games in certain ways, but it’s based in a fantasy world and had so many similarities to ACOTAR that I couldn’t not add it to the list. Plus I really love it.
This is a story about Mare Barrow, a girl who has red blood in a world dominated by those who have silver blood. The silvers are royalty, with their powerful abilities they outrank the reds. But Mare is something different, something rare and unheard of: she discovers she is a red with powers. She can summon lightening. To ensure nobody gets wind of this, she is disguised as a long lost Silver princess by the royals and is taught the ways of being a princess. Conflicted by her emotions for two prince brothers, one fiery and passionate, the other calm and collected, Mare struggles to navigate her new life and must be wary of who she can trust; there are deceivers everywhere.
4. “Heartless” by Marissa Meyer
The first book on this list I haven’t actually read yet, but it is definitely on my TBR list, and here’s why it should be on your’s too:
“Heartless” tells the story of the girl Catherine was long before she was known as the cruel, - ironically - heartless Queen of Hearts. She was the most coveted, admired girl in Wonderland, and one certain unmarried king even had his eyes set on her. But Catherine wants nothing to do with becoming queen; she aspires to open a bakery and sell delicious treats. Her mother, however, doesn’t support her dreams and instead forces her into going to a ball where she is supposed to receive a marriage proposal from the king.
Instead, Catherine meets the handsome and mysterious Jest who she feels a strong attraction for. Cautious of offending the king, she enters into a secret relationship with Jest, and is determined to choose her own fate. But it seems there are others who may have different plans for her...
5. “Cinder” by Marissa Meyer
Set in the futuristic city of New Beijing, Cinder - a young cyborg and talented mechanic - is a second class citizen with a past wrapped in mysteries, and a cruel, wicked stepmother who blames her for her stepsister’s illness. Unforeseen circumstances lead her fate to become intertwined with the dashing Prince Kai’s, and she finds herself standing smack dab in the middle of an intergalactic battle and a forbidden blooming love. Uncovering secrets from her past may just be the only way to save the world’s future.
6. “The Cruel Prince” by Holly Black
This is a book I've wanted to get my hands on for a really long time now because it just sounds so intriguing and right up my alley. When their parents were murdered and they were stolen away by the faeries, Jude and her two sisters were brought to live in the High Court of the Fae. Years later when she is seventeen, Jude longs for to belong amongst the fae, but many of them despise humans and want nothing to do with them - especially the wickedest of them all, the youngest son of the King, Prince Carden.
To earn a place at Court, Jude must overcome the most dangerous task of defying Prince Carden, which leads her life to become entangled with palace intrigues and deceptions. But when a war threatens to break out among the Courts of Faerie, Jude is forced to put her own life at risk in the hopes of saving her sisters, and all faeries.
7. "Everless" by Sara Holland
This is one of my honest to God favourite fantasy novels. It's so fresh and unique and a nice change from the usual fantasy stories. In a world where time is used as currency by extracting blood and binding it to iron, and then it is consumed to add to one's lifespan, Jules Ember discovers her father is dying and must journey back to the very place she and her father had fled so many years ago: Everless. Her father needs more time, and despite having been driven out of there many moons ago after witnessing a fateful accident, she knows she must return for his sake. But returning to Everless can only bring danger to Jules, especially when she finds her heart caught between two people she thought she'd never see again.
8. "Ash Princess" by Laura Sebastian
Just six years old when her country was invaded and her mother, the Fire Queen, was killed right in front of her, Theodosia’s family, name and land were all taken by the Kaiser. For a decade she has been held captive in her own palace, having to endure much ridicule and abuse from the Kaiser and his court. So, when rhe Kaiser finally forces her to do the most heinous, unthinkable thing, she decides enough is enough. The Ash Princess has seen the fall of her people and her land - no more. She will fight back with everything she has.
9. “To Kill a Kingdom” by Alexandra Christo
A modern re-take of The Little Mermaid with a darker twist, Princess Lira is the most lethal siren of the sea; she holds the hearts of seventeen princes in her hands. But when a sudden turn of fate forces her to kill one of her own kind, her own mother - the Sea Queen - punishes her daughter by turning her into the one thing they hate most - a human. She is given until the Winter Solstice to retrieve Prince Elian’s heart and deliver it to the Sea Queen, or remain human forever.
Prince Elian finds his calling in hunting and killing sirens like Lira; unknown to him, when he rescues a woman from drowning in the ocean, she is much more dangerous than he could have ever thought. She promises to help him find the key to destroying all sirens for good, but can he really trust her?
10. “Alice In Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll
This is the first story on this list that doesn’t have any romance in it, but is instead a fresh, unique story of adventure, courage, friendship, and a little pinch of madness. It tells us about a young girl called Alice, who follows a white rabbit wearing a waist-coat and carrying a pocket watch down a rabbit hole. She finds she’s fallen into a magical, if not a bit bizarre, land called Wonderland, where a cruel Queen of Hearts rules over. Join Alice on an adventure of a lifetime, meeting strange people and animals such as The Mad Hatter, The Chesire Cat, and the Blue Caterpillar. It will only make you curiouser and curiouser...

Continuation from [x]
‘The commotion caused by the sighting of a foreign changeling, as well as the constant disturbances reported by the workers and occasionally relaxing warrior drone, forced the hive mind to try and react to the situation by sending some guards to keep the unfamiliar changeling from making any further messes. The Kaiser’s were also contacted to let them know of the intrusion. Corvan wanted to handle the matter personally and lept from this large throne, however Echo stopped him.’
“Brother, allow me to handle the situation. I believe a nuisance falls under my jurisdiction. Threats fall under yours. I’ll bring whoever it is here and we’ll deal with it accordingly.”
“Yes Echo. But next time it’s my turn, I wanna show off some! The hive deserves to see…….ah fine, just hurry back. And don’t get hurt!”
‘With that, Echo smiled and headed out along with a couple of palace guards to find the intruder.’
Queen Lavender- or just Lavender when she is outside her hive, cooed at every small thing she came across. She took the form of the other changelings here, rather than her humanoid form, to blend in. Although, picking up random changelings and weaponry isn’t the best way to blend in. She was also very, very small compared to the other changelings.
It was very clear that she was an intruder, but Lavender didn’t seem to mind. She either avoided or ignored the guards that came her way- going as far as picking one up to admire them. Lavender had lost her way from the hive and came across this other hive on her way to... somewhere. She wasn’t sure where to go quite yet. Giggling, her bright yellow eyes glanced around as the queen hovered a good two feet off the ground, looking around for the nearest hallway.

ARE U A 1D FAN SHELBY???? just saw ur tags bes
I mean kind of?
I'm not a hard-core fan or anything but I do love their songs. I'm kind of obsessed with their song Stockholm Syndrome after I saw it on here. My all time favorite is Story of My Life. I'm sure if I listened to their albums I'd find more I'll like but I still need to update my playlist and I don't need more songs for my OCD to sort through so I won't yet.

Some County Jail Inmates See Vaccination as Ticket to a Better Life — In the State Pen
LOS ANGELES — The inmates huddled near the front or lingered on the bunk beds lining both sides of their narrow, crowded dorm at the Men’s Central Jail, listening as Lt. Sheriff Dwight Miley and nurse practitioner Marissa Negrete offered them covid vaccinations and answered their questions.
Tumblr media
This story also ran on Los Angeles Times. It can be republished for free.
Those who wanted the vaccine should line up at the door, Miley and Negrete said. They’d be taken into a short, cramped hallway where medical workers waited with loaded syringes.
The shot wasn’t mandatory, Miley said, but he encouraged them to get it by dangling a carrot that might seem odd to someone on the outside: Being vaccinated would help them get transferred more quickly to state prison.
“Who do you think they’ll take first from here — those who’ve been vaccinated or those who haven’t?” Miley asked the detainees. “Common sense says they’ll choose those who’ve been vaccinated.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Many people who have been convicted and sentenced to long terms in state prison are eager to get there. But because of covid, transfers from county jails to the state prison system have slowed significantly in the past year.
Jails and prisons have been virtual covid petri dishes: The infection rate among the nation’s prisoners is more than five times higher, and the mortality rate three times higher, than among the general population.
Among the Los Angeles County inmates who agreed to be vaccinated, a common incentive was that they believed — in line with Miley’s urgings — it would get them to state prison sooner.
“I took the vaccine to go upstate quicker,” said Anthony Contreras, 29, who has been in the jail for three years and was sentenced in February to a term of 15 years to life for attempted murder. Arturo Mendoza, 42, sentenced to six years in prison for illegal firearms possession, said he got the injection to avoid getting sick, but added: “I prefer to be upstate because the living is better.”
Tumblr media
However, being vaccinated will not necessarily get inmates to state prison faster, said Vanessa Nelson-Sloane, director and founder of Life Support Alliance, an advocacy group for life-term prison inmates. Decisions on sending county jail inmates to state prison are based more on legal factors than vaccination status, she said.
One reason L.A. County inmates want to expedite their transfer is that state prisons are once again open for family visits after a 13-month halt, while the jail is still closed to visitors.
Moreover, prisons offer numerous courses and vocational programs, and prisoners who enroll in them can get time shaved off their sentences, Nelson-Sloane said.
In the Los Angeles County Jail system — the biggest in the nation, with an average of over 15,000 inmates on a given day — 4,313 inmates have tested positive for covid since the pandemic started. That’s more than any jail system or individual prison in the United States, though not the highest per capita rate, according to UCLA’s COVID-19 Behind Bars Data Project.
Men’s Central Jail, the largest and oldest of the seven county-run detention facilities, has seen the highest number of those cases.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the first couple of months this year, the jail administered the Moderna vaccine, which requires two shots about a month apart. That created added anxiety for certain inmates and logistical complexity for the medical team, since the jail has high turnover and many incarcerated people leave before receiving a second dose.
When the jail started getting bigger shipments of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which requires only one shot, the medical staff and many of the inmates were happy about it.
“Johnson & Johnson is our preferred vaccine,” said Dr. Sean Henderson, chief medical officer of L.A. County’s Correctional Health Services. “Given that they are often in my care for such a short period of time, and given the fact that it appears Johnson & Johnson has the same long-term efficacy in terms of keeping you from becoming ill or dying, Johnson & Johnson does make more sense for our patient population.”
Several of the inmates said they had initially declined when they were offered the two-shot Moderna vaccine but changed their minds with the option of a single shot.
Tumblr media
Of the 8,722 total vaccine doses given to inmates as of Friday, 17% were Johnson & Johnson, Henderson said. Fewer than 4% of the shots given nationwide have been Johnson & Johnson.
On April 13, federal health officials recommended suspending use of the single-shot vaccine over concerns about a possible link to a rare type of blood clot. For the next 10 days, the county’s jails were giving only Moderna, but the Johnson & Johnson suspension was lifted Friday.
So far, just over 4,000 L.A. County Jail inmates have been fully vaccinated, Henderson said — about 26% of the jail system’s average daily population. That compares with 60% in the California state prison system.
But county jails have much higher turnover rates than state prisons, and Henderson’s team has not vaccinated as many of the short-term inmates as it would like.
Instead, the medical team has been targeting longer-term inmates, including those awaiting transfer to state prison and nonviolent prisoners who have been returned by state prisons to serve the rest of their sentences in county jail.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite the high risk of infection among incarcerated people, California granted vaccine access to them more slowly than to some other high-risk groups, including nursing home residents and seniors. Officials in the Golden State did not start vaccinating all jail and prison inmates, regardless of age or health status, until March 15.
Florida delayed even longer, blocking vaccine access to prisoners until the first week of April.
The crowded, unsanitary conditions in which inmates typically live make them highly susceptible to infection, and their high rate of chronic diseases puts them at greater risk of severe covid illness. Jails and prisons are disproportionately populated by Latino and Black men, who have been hardest hit by the pandemic. In the L.A. County correctional system, 31% of prisoners are Black and 53% are Latino.
Now that jail officials have the green light to vaccinate all inmates who want to be vaccinated, they face another challenge: vaccine hesitancy.
Henderson said about half of L.A. County Jail inmates decline when asked if they want the vaccine, though some change their minds after repeated offers.
Tumblr media
A survey published in December by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that 55% of jail and prison inmates would hesitate or refuse to take the vaccine. Willingness to be vaccinated was lowest among Black prisoners and people ages 18 to 29. The most common reason for refusal was distrust of government and other institutions.
Andre Moore, a 33-year-old inmate in the Men’s Central Jail who said he was wrongly convicted of sexual assault and sentenced in October 2019 to a long term in state prison, refused the vaccine because “I don’t think anything the government does is good.”
Living in a crowded dorm with inmates who are less meticulous about hygiene than he is, and where many don’t wear masks, makes him worry about getting covid. “But I’m way more nervous about the vaccine,” Moore said.
Sharon Dolovich, a UCLA law professor who created the COVID-19 Behind Bars project, said corrections officials need to try to instill trust in the inmates. “With this population, you can’t just go in and say, ‘Here’s the vaccination, take it,’” she said. “There’s a lot of distrust and resentment and fatalism.”

Same anon from the other two submissions. Thank you for realizing the benefits of pot. I have scoliosis and weed is the only thing that helps with back pain. I’ve tried stretching, aspirins, heating pads, and nothing seems to even take the edge off. It’s people like these two that give people the wrong impression. But as a smoker, I 110% agree there’s so much more than just pot being used. It’s so obvious and I don’t get why they still have their kids.
In your case, you have a real medical reason too! It’s not just recreationally smoking, which is the real thing that’s controversial. Texas has legalized medical MJ and I love it for people like you who need it. It’s a drug that can help with medical conditions like yours and have fewer adverse effects than prescription drugs. But I definitely agree about Jenelle and David! I really wish Kaiser’s grandmother would have continued to pursue full custody since she could use Ensley testing positive for drugs and everything. And I hope that Marissa and Ensley can also find a loving relative to live with. If Jenelle is no longer on TM2, I have no doubt in my mind that the kids won’t matter because she doesn’t have to keep up with the perfect family image. She can do whatever she wants out of the public eye and I feel like they would happily give up the kids for the druggie life with no cameras and no MTV supporting them.

two anons are passing by and spot Marissa: Anon 1: "Wow what an interesting looking creature, her fur looks really pretty I wonder if it naturally grows in like that" Anon 2: "Hmm, maybe she's just born with it?" Both in unison with a playful chuckle at the end: "Maybe it's Maybelline"
Tumblr media
“I DONT KNOW WHAT THAT IS BUT ITS PROBABLY SUPER AWESOME AND LOW COST.”
‘Marissa feels like she’s been caught in a commercial and plays along just in case someone is filming this and it ends up on TV.’
“Now move along citizens, the Kaiser’s court will be open soon........”
