56 a kiss out of habit

Fabio is sitting in his chair, leathers open and chest naked as always.

He's listening to what his race engineer is telling him, specifically about one turn where he seems to be less strong and one break point where he should be more gentle.

He's leading the championship after winning in Assen the week before summer break and he's not willing to let go, the others are still very close, but he feels 2021 is gonna be his year.

Mav is currently on the other side of the garage, looking at him from time to time. They've begun having something at the start of the season, eventually coming to label it properly as a relationship just a few weeks before summer break.

They both are focused on their tasks, Fabio trying to work on breaking and turning and Mav keeping his concentration on a straight where he tends to loose speed to the advantage of other riders.

They end up being close before hopping on their respective bikes, since they both left their gloves on a chair on Mav's side of the garage for whatever reason.

Fabio goes to gran them putting them on as the older one does the same.

And in that moment they're both a bit too focused on one another to actually remember they're in public, in the garage, cameras pointed straight to their faces, and Mav does what he usually does when they gear up before going for a ride while spending time at one's house.

A quick peck on the lips, a reminder to stay safe on the bike and be careful, and none of them think anything of it, it's their routine, they always do it.

Except this time they just did it live, for the whole fucking world of Motogp to see, and their whole crew too, which falls silent as they realise their mistake.

The garage is silent, they both are frozen in their spots, the air feels thick with tension. Mav turns around, taking the few steps separating him from Fabio "Eh fuck it, they've all seen now" and goes for another kiss, a proper one this time, whispering good luck in the boy's ear, who's smiling like a kid while putting his helmet on.

They'll deal with press cons later, he's still the championship leader, the rider who's winning, people will get over it.

Ok so Mavio is a ship I never really dug into cause I didn't get the vibes well, so the characterisation is uhm a bit thrown there hope you like it (and if not is ok I don't even know how to properly write them)

They’re all at the beach and it’s sunny.

Too sunny maybe, Cele is already a bit burned on his shoulders and back, and even if he swore he put sunscreen on all of them know he lied and didn’t, just like a kid would.

Bez is in the water, playing with it like a kid, alongside with Mig who has already been drowned by the other a few times.

There’s no many other tourists there, it’s a secluded space Bez had brought Cele to on their first proper date.

Frankly is tanning beside him, half asleep.

He can see the other two are getting out the water, some still dripping from Bez’s hair and Cele’s stomach does that annoying thing it does every time Bez looks particularly cute or hot.

Migno heads to the beach shower to wash off the salty water, Bez goes to Cele first.

For some reason they don’t actually register they’re not alone, and like they always do they share a quick kiss on the lips, a smile forming on both their faces.

“FUCK NO” they hear Mig yell two meters afar and they both suddenly realise what they did.

They agreed to keep the relationship secret, not because they were scared the others were homophobic or shit but because they didn’t want it to create chaos in the Academy.

Mig is staring at them like they just killed someone, and Cele is beginning to worry he might actually resent them for being together.

“I told you not to bet against Pecco, now you gotta pay”

Franky speaks for the first time in half an hour, half smiling while looking at a defeated Mig.

“Thank you very much guys now I gotta pay Pecco a hundred fucking euros cause you two kissed in front of us before christmas”

“YOU BET ON US?”
