Liebe Bürgerinnen und Bürger von Gomaringen, Hinterweiler und Stockach, hallo liebe Jungwählerinnen und Jungwähler, seit über 40 Jahren arbeiten wir erfolgreich an der Entwicklung unserer Gemeinde. Wir sind stolz darauf, was wir für Gomaringen erreicht haben – für „Alt“ und „Jung“. Auch in Zukunft werden wir uns aktiv und engagiert einbringen.

And finally my review of the production of West Side Story at the Komische Oper. To make it really quick: I loved it! I've always loved WSS, the music is wonderful and the story's got everything one needs to feel emotionally touched. This production was pretty minimalistic when it comes to sets, sometimes the actors where on their own on stage, sometimes there was only a bed, some ladders left and right or some disco globes (is that the word??? Well, you know what I mean). It fit the story, putting the cast in the centre of the show. And this cast really is great! There was a lot of energy on stage whenever the ensemble was performing together (be it 'Jets' or 'Sharks' or the girls). I've always found the ensemble pieces to be the strongest point of WSS and I wasn't disappointed at watching this cast perform. Of the main characters I especially liked Sigalit Feig as Anita, Daniel Therrien as Riff and Katja Reichert as Maria. She's got a great voice, very strong and fragile at the same time although her vibrato is a bit too much for my taste and this show (but I usually have a problem with sopranos having a strong vibrato). The one I didn't like was Michael Pflumm as Tony. His acting was very wooden, I never believed for a second that he fell head over heels for Maria. He also had some major difficulties with his singing part, especially with the high notes. It got better during the performance, but his voice was as lifeless as his acting. At least he died nicely. There was one moment where one of the microphones stopped working, but that was managed really well by handing a hand microphone from behind the stage to one of the actorswho handed it to his colleague. Very professional! All in all it was a brilliant night. :)
