Though he'll either politely thank you for your thoughtfulness or try to insist that you don't need to go to the trouble, that offer has Mikhael feeling so many things. There's no reason for you to do that. No purpose to a level of kindness that feels like it has to be some kind of trap. With no choice but to do it, Mikhael ends up with his fingers carefully placed against your cheek, and his heart trying to climb right up his throat in retaliation.

The intimacy of the situation hits him suddenly and painfully, leaving him fighting to keep his breath steady with your skin under his fingertips— and struggling not to think about how badly he's wanted to see your face for all this time.

The realization that you actually liked him when he was sweet and new does horrible things to Kirsch. He desperately wants your kindness to continue, but now that he's awful again, you'll surely go right back to hating him. If there's any chance he can hide that his memories came back, he'll do it— not that such an attempt lasts very long, however. It's his fault for being bad, Kirsch knows it is, but that doesn't make Master's rejection hurt any less.

All your temporary kindness does, in the end, is prove that he was right all along. You were nice to him when he was better, but F wouldn't expect something so wonderful to last, in the first place. A used thing like him doesn't deserve to be treated sweetly, so now that his memories are back, he's fully prepared for everything else to go back to normal too. It's for the best that any misplaced hope gets crushed before it can make him do something stupid.

He wouldn't have expected much different, really. Experiencing your kindness was wonderful while it lasted, but now that he's broken again, there's no reason for that blissful dream to continue. Mikhael accepts the return to "normal" with no complaints... though, admittedly, he'll be clinging to the memories of kindness and safety for months to come. He can't forget how it felt for his Master to treasure him, no matter how hard he tries to move on.
