I was talking with this girl in my history class and i went “oh yeah, isnt it international day of solidarity with the Palestinian people?”

she kinda looked confused and asked “how did you know I’m Palestinian?” So i explained she mentioned it a couple weeks back. I mentioned her bracelets and how i liked them (they were bracelets saying her support of palestine) and she said how she couldn’t wear her broach because of threats she was getting.

She seemed extremely fucking happy to be able to talk abt this, so i let her talk as much as she wanted to, pitching in once in a while to get a response of “EXACTLY!”

she told me how happy she was to be able to find someone agreeing with her, and when i asked how no one else had, she said everyone either wasn’t speaking up or was pro-israel.

This is the fucking bare minimum!! And she hadn’t found ANYONE to talk to.

Talk to people you know!! She looked so relieved at someone LISTENING TO HER!! She has family IN GAZA RIGHT NOW that have been shot, and cousins killed in the 2000’s. Her whole family is in gaza. We can’t even drive and she’s going through this godawful shit without people at school to talk to!! It’s the bare fucking minimum. It is the bare. Fucking. Minimum.

Reach out. REACH OUT. It will mean the world to someone, I promise you. we talked for maybe 7 minutes, and it seemed to make her so goddamn happy!! Talk about it!! They can’t know you care if you don’t SHOW you care.

For Reasons TM this was hilarious because I was writing a post last night about the height difference between Mithrun and Kabru aldkjaljda (Kabru is canonically 5'7", Mithrun is 5'1" - Adventurer's Bible). Extra points that this is in response to Rin accusing Kabru of flirting with Namari.

Angel with Issues TM just like all my other beloveds. Listen, if I told you how many screencaps I took of Kabru… well. He looks beautiful. 15/10 great job, Trigger, thank you.

I would also like to insert here: literally every time Kabru is fighting/preparing to fight because holy fuck that was amazing!!! He looked so incredible in every fight! His VA did an amazing job! Gorgeous animation! The direction was so good!

Hob definitely is an amazing cook, the type that has ALL the spices and knows how to use them. Sometime after 1689 when he was getting his life together he ended up on a Dutch spice trade ship, and spent a decade in the Spice Islands learning everything there was to know about aromatics. He never lost his Medieval penchant for using a ton of pepper and ginger in everything. He can’t believe how cheap spices are now! Every time Dream deigns to try the food he makes him in the Waking, Dream’s pale human guise turns bright pink at how spicy it is. Hob’s house smells like cinnamon and cardamon all the time. Feeding others is his love language.

Alan Wake 2's minimum system requirements have been lowered

There are many interesting mannerisms that are spread amongst countries that were once part of USSR*.

One of them is this: when speaking of drinking alcohol people tap a side of their neck, about where it meets the head.

One of the stories about why people started doing this is that:

Once in Russian Empire a spire needed repairing. It was very high, so the work was dangerous. Finally, a guy has taken up the job, and has done it masterfully. The tsar said that the master can ask whatever he wants and he shall get it. So, naturally, he asked to be given free alcohol wherever he went*. He was given a certificate, but you know. He was always drunk so he lost it often. To solve the problem the officials proposed giving him a tattoo, a stamp, if you will. And well, he cant have it on his forehead. So he decided on his neck, and would point at it wherever he went after alcohol.

So there is that.

*obviously not every person is doing that, however it is prevalent enough that i decided to post about it. you may also note that the story itself has more russian roots(?). the things is, ussr and it's "allies" had a lot of migration between each other(deportations, repressions, sent to work in some place, compulsory army service, plain old holidays), so naturally habits traveled too. basically a kazakh person does this because it became part of ussr's culture(?).

*Alcohol, and vodka especially, were a significant part of government's budget.
