So, that one post about how Yasu has to untangle the bad karma Naraku left him with. Is. Is that like. Is that like when you have to untangle holiday lights, or is it like necklaces?
Necklaces in the sense that you set something down for a second, turn back and it's become an unholy tangled mess.
Then with holiday lights you leave them to stew and plot for a year, tangling for you to deal with the next time you need them.
MAN, I think Yasu deals with a healthy dose of both.
As a character, Yasu's presence in the story is the opposite of Naraku's, because he was reincarnated with the purpose of atoning for all of the lives he ruined. He ends up helping out all of the key players left (InuYasha, Sesshomaru, Koga, Shippo, etc) and the descendants of who are no longer there (Sango and Miroku).
Yasu himself ends up suffering a lot, both long term and short term tragedies. For example, his very presence was what caused the death of his mother. From overexposure to his miasma (directly thanks to Naraku, having inherited his abilities), that Yasu couldn't control properly. But also the isolation due to being shunned by demons and humans alike for being a half-demon.
More short term issues being InuYasha's immediate distrust and conflict (which gets resolved but yeah), a good amount of Yasu's troubles lead back to Naraku in some way.

Is Kayo Sudou an anti villain?
Not exactly...
I mean, for anyone who isn't that deep into EC, Kayo is considered an anti-villain. But it turns out that from the beginning her past life is revealed to us and how her objective played in favor of being Envy's contractor (or rather, Rahab Barisol's daughter) because if you think about it, Kai Miroku had no remorse for putting the Kayo's original village and her family in danger, which unleashed a karma when she herself took revenge for having separated from her family because of Kai

New fic: Manipulation
Hello! I wrote this ages ago, and with the help of @ku-mi-ko, @hanmajoerin, @inukag, @companion-for-who and @born-for-eachother, I finally posted it! (jeez, viva, do you really need this many people to write something so short? Yes i do, shut up.)
So here it is something cute with Kin'u and Miroku! Please bear in mind that although I'm using some Yashahime elements, it is not set in the Yashahime universe and InuYasha and Kagome live perfectly happy being MirSan neighbours at the village. That's it.

Rating: G/Everyone
Characters: Miroku and Kin'u
Universe: InuYasha cannon compliant, not HNY compliant

Manipulation
"Daddy, look!"
Oh, here we go…
Miroku braced himself for what was to come. He was only "daddy" when they wanted something. Otherwise, he was "father".
"Yes, sweetheart, what is it?"
"It's a puppy!" Kin'u beamed. "He followed me!"
Miroku looked down to see the puppy in question, a little scrawny thing with honey coloured fur and droopy ears, wagging its tail furiously and licking the girl's fingers. It was not uncommon for dogs and other animals to follow them while attending to missions, as they often could get scraps of food along the way. But when Miroku decided to take his eldest to experience the itinerant monk life, he wasn't expecting her to start collecting pets on the road.
"Can I keep him?"
"Kin'u, I don't think this is a good idea..."
"But Dad", she said alongating her syllables. "He’s hungry! And he likes me!"
The puppy jumped and barked, as if to agree with the girl. Miroku took a deep breath.
"I can see that. It's best if we feed him then go. We can't take him home."
"We can't just abandon him!" Her voice began rising in pitch. "He’s a baby!" As if on cue, the puppy whimpered.
"Kin'u, he’ll be fine. He’s survived until this point, he clearly can find food and shelter."
The girl frowned. The puppy jumped on her leg once more to try to grab her attention and achieve some pets on the head. Miroku was brought back momentarily to the time a couple of years previous, when he had to drag his daughter back home sobbing when she couldn’t take home the puppy that had been offered to him as payment by one of the villagers. A dog had just given birth and Kin’u seemed so enamoured by the litter, the woman suggested they take one as a gift. But the dogs were still too little to be weaned, and so it stayed behind. Bringing himself back to the present at hand, he hoped he wouldn’t need to carry a crying child all the way home again this time around.
"But Father," Kin’u pleaded, her mouth falling into a straight line and eyes closing. Miroku didn't miss the telltale change of tone when she spoke or the quiet inhale that filled the space between them. Kin'u was silent, but it wouldn't be long before she sold him a pitch. She was turning out to be every bit the merchant that he was. "Don't animals have souls with potential for enlightenment just like we do? Shouldn't we be kind to them just as much as we are to humans? For all we know, this could be the soul of Grandfather!"
'She’s getting good at assessing which arguments work best in each situation,' Miroku thought, half proud of his daughter's skills, and half worried. This had to be payback for all those years of tricking people with carefully crafted words. Miroku knew the karma would return his actions to him, but he just assumed it would be in his next life, a problem for whoever had his soul in the future.
"Yes, good to know you have been paying attention to the teachings. But theology won't help your case because we also don't take every person in need to our home. We help them as much as we can then go our separate ways, as fate will lead us."
The young girl sighed, defeated. "I had already chosen a name..."
Kin’u probably didn’t mean to spike her father’s curiosity this time, the comment was perfectly spontaneous. But it did anyway. "Which one?"
"InuYasha."
"No. Kin'u, you can't name the dog InuYasha."

MirSan Head Canon Kids
Because I refuse to believe Miroku and Sango would have stopped at 3 kids, I have planned and created my own, so they can appear in my fanfic. And I figured I might as well share them here.
I'm keeping the Yashahime name and professions of the first 3 ones, but with a few adjustments to their personalities and looks (because yashahime made them annoying and I can't allow that).
So here they are, my complete set of MirSan kids.
1 and 2. Kin'u (金烏) and Gyokuto (玉兎)
They are the ones that most resemble Sango physically, but they are also the ones that are more like Miroku in personality, though in different ways.
When they were little, Kin'u tended to be the "leader" of their play, and Gyokuto was her right hand woman. They often got into trouble for being mischievous. They both learned the basics of combat, but in the end Kin'u had a greater aptitude for scholar and spirituality, while Gyokuto found some creative outlet in creating weapons and gear for the slayers. Gyokuto took great joy in experimenting and innovation when it came to her creations, and she has a special taste for flashy tools, such as bombs and new ways to incorporate poisons.
Kin'u keeps her hair short for religious reasons (she didn't want to shave it all off completely so she came up with a compromise). Gyokuto keeps her hair long for the most part, except for a period when there was an accident while she was experimenting with explosives, and burned off her hair and eyebrows. It took a while to grow back, but she was more careful after the incident.
Kin'u spends most of her time in Mushin's temple, and she assisted him in the last years of his life. She found some novices and young monks to help her get the temple back in order, and although they are all hard workers, one might also notice she got some really pretty people to live and work with her (she likes the view). She would never harass them or anything but you know, if they are willing, she's willing. Gyokuto is more direct in her approach and would definitely hit on people, though it seems like she takes more joy in making them blush and stutter than actually getting anything out of it.
They are both able to be pretty manipulative, and getting what they want with their words, but Kin'u tends to be more cunning. When the salyer village was able to rebuild and had more people join their ranks, Gyokuto took the opportunity to become a peddler, doubling as a scout for the slayers and bringing back news of any possible job they could get. She was a great saleswoman and made a lot of money during this period.
3. Hisui (翡翠)
Mama's boy, very easy target for teasing and light bullying. Literally the only thing he got from Miroku was his face, and even so when he was little somebody said he looked like his father and he started crying, because he wanted to be like mom and uncle Kohaku. Really proud of his slayer heritage and duty, and is always trying very hard to do his best and improve. Hisui is very innocent and very clueless when it comes to romance, so he usually doesn't notice when someone might be interested in him (and when he does he gets really uncomfortable). He was usually dragged around by his sisters when Kin'u had some great adventure idea, even though he thought the idea was stupid and they would get in trouble (they did).
4. Ruriko (瑠璃琥)
Hisui's only fan. Took on fighting because she wanted to be like her big brother, and really excelled at long range style (though she can do close contact if needed). At a first glance she may come off as serious and aloof, but she is actually shy and very sweet. She likes everything girly and loves dressing up in nice clothes. Really feels drawn to the slayers' sense of duty and honour, and is very proud of her heritage and role, just like Hisui. Could have been a flirt, but she's too shy to do it, and usually just ends up blushing furiously and running away when anybody shows interest. Gyokuto tried coaching her on it, but it didn't work.
Physically she is Miroku's spitting image. Same dark hair, blue eyes and eye shape.
5. Shinju (真珠)
Was a very sickly kid, to the point everyone worried she would not survive infancy. She made it, with the sheer power of will and violence. Her parents tried channelling her high energy to other activities because they worried about her health, but turns out the kid just was a very good fit for fighting. As a child she was always involved in more intense playing, and was always full of scratches and bruises. Even though she would get periodic fevers, she just hated staying home with all her might. She prefers wearing men's clothes, and can be loud and boisterous. She chose to fight with the biggest and least subtle weapon available at the exterminator shop. Is often paired with Ruri for missions, because they tend to balance each other out and make a good team.
Physically she is the one with the palest skin and lightest hair colour, and is full of freckles.
6. Kanaho (銀星)
Even though she is younger, she tends to be one of the more serious and mature of the kids. Since Shinju's health took up her parents' attention, Kanaho was mostly cared for by her older siblings. Never felt interested in fighting, and although she had some aptitude for spiritual powers, she just couldn't be bothered to be interested in it. Instead, she took on weapon making.
Unlike Gyokuto, who is an inventor and loves working on flashy gadgets, Kanaho is a traditional perfectionist. She went deep into studying traditional weapons and how to produce the best results with the best materials. She even managed to nag Totosai enough for him to teach her some of his techniques, even though she is only human. Kanaho's weapons became the Stradivarius of the slayer world. It became a matter of pride to have one of her products, as she took her time working on them and chose her clients very carefully, so there weren't that many available.
Kanaho's hair is darker than her mothers, and she has a bony structure. Nobody knows where she got her eyes from, it doesn't particularly look like Sango's or Miroku's. Maybe from a grandparent.
7. Chikai (小貝)
The baby of the family. Is absolutely pampered and spoiled by his older sisters. Has a cute round baby face and freckles, with darker brown hair. Is a little prince in the household with all the attention, but is actually a very sensitive and sweet child. Cries very easily but doesn't throw tantrums. Ruri likes dressing him up in cute clothes and caring for his hair. Sometimes he tries rebelling, but it doesn't go far and he always apologizes in the end.

Fleet Week - Day 2: Friendship day
Oh yeah! This is it, my kind of fic!
There are so many good friendships in the series, and I went with InuYasha & Sango. Because I'm a sucker for dog boy having to adjust to his friend being a mama.
As usual, shout out to @inu-mothership for the event, and @hanmajoerin for helping me make it better.

Kick
By then, Sango was used to having her stomach touched by everyone.
As her belly grew, so did the attention she received from everyone around her.
Miroku, who was already a very touchy husband, became even more so the minute she announced her suspicions 6 months previously. He managed to mostly control himself when they were in public, but as soon as they were alone, his hands would fly over to her stomach, trying to feel any and every movement happening inside. He didn’t give her a break, not even at night: he now slept exclusively with his arms around her middle, which sometimes got him an elbow on the ribs from time to time when Sango needed to move.
The children were by far the most openly excited, greeting her hands first everyday. Shippou assigned himself the duty of “baby monitor” ever since he was the first–and only–one to detect two heart beats, signaling the presence of twins, months ago. Everyday he would press his pointy ears to her belly and relay what he could hear, always proud of the job only he could do.
Kaede touched her periodically out of midwifery duty, and instructed Rin on how to do the same, and what to look for while doing it. The girl could barely contain her elation to be following through and learning so much with her first ever pregnancy, each lesson being punctuated by exclamations of wonder, some bouncing in place, and the occasional clapping.
Other villagers always arrived full of questions. The children surrounded her with touches, wanting to know when they would meet their new playmates, while the older women asked about how she was doing, gently placing their hands on her stomach and recalling their own past pregnancies.
Before their battle with Naraku ended, she would have avoided the interactions with scrutiny, she couldn’t deny it was enjoyable being the center of attention in this situation. Everyone seemed interested and excited about the babies.
Everyone, that is, except InuYasha.
He kept saying he wasn’t interested whenever she asked, but InuYasha had never been much of a good liar. Sango would catch his ears twitching and perking up whenever the subject of the babies came up, and he gave sideways glances whenever he thought nobody was paying attention. It was endearing how much her friend was genuinely attentive to the matter, and she truly wanted him to be part of it, but as long as he thought she was only asking on his behalf, he would dodge it, out of… embarrassment? If Kagome was here, she might be able to tell her why he acted this way. Sango wasn’t entirely sure as to why he kept depriving himself of the involvement he clearly wanted, but in the end, the reasons didn’t matter. She would find a way to include him one way or the other.
It finally happened on a late afternoon when they were alone: Sango was hanging the freshly washed laundry, and InuYasha was by her side.
“Just sit down and let me do it. Miroku shouldn’t let you work like this.”
“I’m pregnant, not armless. I can still handle laundry.”
He huffed, but didn’t move to take the basket out of Sango’s hands. He just watched as she worked until she laid the load down and moved to sit on a nearby rock to rest.
“See? You get tired too easily now.”
“As far as I know, getting a little tired from carrying these two around isn’t life threatening. I swear, I’d die of boredom if you had it your way.”
InuYasha huffed again, and quietly made his way to her side.
They sat in a comfortable silence for a few minutes, Sango choosing her next words carefully.
“They really seem to be moving a lot today,” she said with a sigh and a hand on her belly. “InuYasha… do you want to feel the babies?”
His face flushed.
“N-no. Why would I?”
Sango reached out to grab his nearest wrist. “It would mean a lot to me if you did,” she said, guiding his hand to her stomach.
InuYasha tried to squirm away as his palm made contact with the material of her clothes.
“I really don’t–holy shit was that a foot!?!”
Sango looked down, trying hard to contain her laughter at the genuine wonder of her friend feeling the babies for the first time. “Yes! Or a hand, I don’t know, they move too much.”

Hello, vickyvicarious! So, I'm thinking ... Phoenix x Miles in an Inuyasha au. Do you think this is interesting?
"Well, I suppose a mere human like you wouldn't know any better," Edgeworth said, spreading his arms in a smug gesture, "but in fact-"
Phoenix knew he shouldn't do it. He still didn't even understand the power he apparently had, was still reeling from being plunged into such a different reality so abruptly - and now the responsibility of questing after the shards of the jewel he'd broken, along with only Edgeworth for company. The hanyou already hated him, and they were stuck traveling together; there was no need to make things even worse by aggravating him even more.
But... he was so annoying. So condescending and rude and always twisting Phoenix's words against him, and -
"Edgeworth? Hold it."
It was petty, sure, but the abrupt squawk of distress as the red-robed man suddenly fell face first into the inn's table - well, that made up for a lot, in Phoenix's opinion.
.
I think this AU could be a lot of fun, actually! I initially was thinking of casting people into different roles, but then I got the mental image of Phoenix yelling 'hold it!' and Edgeworth doing the freeze-faceplant thing and cracked myself up, so there we are. It actually could work beyond that, though... Franziska would be perfect for Sesshoumaru, Gumshoe might be her (more reluctant) vassal a la Jaken, Gregory Edgeworth would've been Izayoi, etc. I think Larry, Maya, and Pearl would join as rough Miroku, Sango, Shippo parallels, though their roles don't match up as well and it might need some adjusting. (For example, Phoenix should be Mia's reincarnation, right? But then Maya would rightfully be Kaede, and I'd want her still younger and joining them on their travels so that'd need finagling). Similarly I like the idea of von Karma being the main big bad/Naraku parallel or something but that would remove him as the link between Edgeworth and Franziska. Lots that could still be puzzled over/changed to fit the new characters... but it'd be a fun verse for sure!
.
send me a relationship/set of characters and an AU, and I'll write at least 3 sentences for it!

Ok, now I can write ªªªª
This chapter. This. I like it and I was scared of it, last week was an anxious one because I was scared to death
But now I can say things. Yes.
First of all,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this beautiful girl. She's Miroku Jr, Miroku's karma, mini Sango with father's personality and I LOVE HER.
Second,
Tumblr media
those wings are because of the butterfly curse as we all suspected. And still, Setsuna is so fucking strong to the point she regained her self-consciousness back, thanks to Towa of course. But even at the beginning, she tried to not go berserk and it was due Zero that she lost it
Why?
Tumblr media
SETSUNA WAS SCARED OF HER DUE CHILDHOOD'S TRAUMA. BUT ALSO PISSED. SHE BLAMED HER, SHE WANTED TO KILL HER.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And that's what drived her berserk. My girl…
Tumblr media
Sesshōmaru is waiting for Rin. He really is. SessRin is more canon that ever.
Tumblr media
I really hope Rin can be with her family on next episode…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And last but not least.
TOTOSAI, ARE YOU GOING TO CREATE A SWORD OR NAGINATA FOR SETSUNA??? THE CURRENT ONE CAN'T SEALED HER COMPLETELY ANYMORE. ARE YOU GOING TO USE ONE OF SESSHŌMARU'S FANGS????? AAAAAA

A/N: My hand slipped then all of this came out.
Summary: A collection of drabbles and one-shots exploring life after Kagome made that one right wish on the Sacred Jewel. Occasionally featuring voices from the next generation.
Chapter Summary: Miroku and Hisui visit InuYasha a few days prior to Kagome's return.
II AO3 II
Being big sisters was a brilliant notion for Miroku’s daughters until they realized their mother’s attention was split from halves to thirds. But it wasn’t horrible for Miroku to pick up his newborn son and wander around for a while. Not that his two feet would drag them aimlessly around Kaede’s Village. There was a destination he had in mind, a place he and his companions dubbed “InuYasha’s Clearing” after Shippo trailed the half-demon there last year. It was supposed to be his alone, but none of them could resist showing up from time to time. The wind was careful, the forest below seemed incredibly small, and if InuYasha was there a somber tranquility would warm even the coldest soul. Miroku hoped it’d help Hisui shake the frustrations of his sisters. “Come now, Hisui; if we’re not quiet, the big dog will know we’re coming,” he chided, bouncing the fussing baby in his arms.
“Too late,” InuYasha barked out, not even bothering to flick an ear. Hisui hadn’t bothered to stop crying, either, but Miroku continued to rock him. As he joined his friend, the monk remained silent, letting the dwindling cries of Hisui fill the space between them. There wasn’t much he wanted to say and there was probably not much InuYasha had an interest in listening to.
“It’s almost summer again,” Miroku said and InuYasha hummed in acknowledgment. What a peculiar force time was turning out to be; slippery as a fish and every bit the illusory force the scrolls in Mushin’s temple claimed. The monk’s expression softened as he gazed down at Hisui. His mouth had finally closed and the trails of hot tears started crystalizing. “It feels like an opportunity for change.”
“Sango just let another one of your brats out into the world, nothing’s the same now.”
Miroku gazed down at Hisui, his son. His first son, no more meaningful than his twin daughters who came prior. He never thought he’d make it this far, was still coming to terms with what exactly he needed to do, but his family was happy. For the first time in his life, the monk was content. Truly. That joy came at a large cost, of course, but it hardly spoiled the peace he’d found. She still haunted him though. Kagome managed to haunt them all.
Nearly three years passed since the Bone Eater’s Well disappeared then reappeared in a pillar of light. InuYasha was the only one who returned with it. And it was an odd notion to continue perpetuating: InuYasha without Kagome. Miroku never expected a full report, but when he spoke to the half-demon privately and was told about Kagome’s family he understood. He’d been there too. Back when the wails of the wind tunnel echoed in Naraku’s body, Sango was the only one on his mind. There was so much she’d lose if she followed him, so more than anything else, she had to live. It was a romantic sentiment, the monk was sure, but he’d been lucky. Hisui cooed, calling Miroku to the present. If InuYasha and Kagome hadn’t been there, Sango would be standing here alone instead. She would’ve shared this space with InuYasha, empathizing. Would she have changed like him, too?
The sun dipped a bit lower, wrapping the three in its warmth. Miroku offered his companion a light smirk. He’d lifted Hisui slightly. “You know, I always thought I’d take after my father and grandfather and have a son first.”
InuYasha scoffed. “It’s called karma.”
“Now, now InuYasha: I’ve only acted with the best intentions.”
“Keh.”
Hisui blinked a few times, following Miroku’s gaze to the half-demon. Once Hisui began squirming in his swaddle, Miroku turned his attention back. He and his son had identical violet eyes that glinted predictably after a plan formed. Miroku hardly needed to question what the newborn wanted to do. He worked around Hisui’s frustrated stretches, fumbling with the yukata until the right hand of his son popped out. Miroku’s thumb brushed across it fully. No wind tunnel.
“It’s only right that they’re drawn to you, you’re what brought Sango and I together,” Miorku stated as InuYasha rolled his eyes but extended his index finger anyway. Miroku noticed the small twitch from the half-demon’s mouth as Hisui grasped at the long white claw presented to him. The boy brought it to his chest as if it was incapable of harm.
“Wasn’t me.”
No, the monk supposed it wasn’t.

Sango

The Most Pathetic Demon Slayer Ever
This screenshot demotivational poster is highly, highly Anti-Sango. So, sit back, relax, and revel in the evisceration of this lame excuse of a demon slayer and even lamer excuse of a friend. Out of Inuyasha's so-called friends, I remembered tolerating Sango a whole lot more than Miroku, Kagome, and Shippou combined. Just add in her nekomata Kirara and their overall presence would have been easier to swallow. Since Kirara treated Inuyasha more like a friend than Sango ever did, I am just going to go out on a limb and say that I have lost all respect for this lame demon slayer. I could not deny that I really liked Sango because of how physically strong she was in super stark comparison to Kagome and her whining, puerile ass. In fact, when comparing her to Kagome, the former seemed like she was a more capable heroine than the latter. Ergo, she did display a lot of potential and promise as a take-charge, tough, unwavering young woman with a huge boomerang to match and an even bigger heart showing concern for her little brother, Kohaku. The other piece of potential I spotted in her was trying to stay by Inuyasha's side as his ally and great friend, as she stated in the 52nd episode. It could be argued that out of Inuyasha's human "friends", she did try to get to know him better than either Miroku and/or Kagome ever could. In fact, Inuyasha and Sango seemed really strong and capable on their own terms, which was why I initially found them a bit compatible with each other. However, that notion of them being together was not only the childhood voice in me speaking but also the nostalgia goggles doing all the talking, even though I was consistent with my undying love for Inuyasha x Ayame. Unfortunately, these are where all my positive sentiments about Sango cease and desist because I no longer have any kind words to say about this lame demon slayer. First of all, one negative facet that I have realized about Sango is that she is easily manipulated despite being physically strong. When she was introduced, Naraku easily tricked Sango into believing that Inuyasha wreaked havoc on her village and annihilated her family and her overall clan. However, it was just a ploy by Naraku to collect Inuyasha's Tessaiga and use it for his own means. Even Inuyasha did not comprehend why Sango would be so brazen to attack him. In the twenty-third episode of Inuyasha: The Final Act, her weak mind went even further, as Naraku created an illusion of himself and manipulated her once again to kill both him and Rin, who in fact was not an illusion but the real deal. She had to do all this to save the life of her "beloved monk" Miroku. Luckily, she was able to snap out of it, but the mere fact that she was about to sacrifice Rin's life for the sake of a pathetic, know-it-all, womanizing monk is not only pitiful, but also extraordinarily feeble and groan-worthy. So much for someone who is physically capable of beating demons with her huge boomerang and can kick butt every way until Sunday. This also goes to show that her character really derailed in The Final Act all because she ended up being in a conjugal relationship with a lousy pervert monk and that she would be so willing to kill Rin just to save him, despite her going her through her second death with Sesshoumaru saving her by using that pendant his mother had to restore her life once and for all. That, my friends, is completely sheer incompetence and a miserable excuse of a combatant on Sango's side. Speaking of that loser monk Miroku, how many times did she end up slapping him, knocking him on the head, and insinuate physical attacks all because he was groping her buttocks, her boobs, and Lord knows where else? And after all the, he ended up proposing to her? Even after he asked a lot of women to bear his children? Seriously, Sango should know a whole lot better than that! The chances of her being in a long-lasting relationship with that filthy monk is absolute zilch. Who knows if he is ever going to stay by her side and their children to give them the home life they truly deserved. When
all is said and done, she ended up being a lousy breeding mare to a perverted monk instead of opting for someone who could actually treat her better like Kouga. Yes, I know Kouga is a huge lame-o too. But at least he is not too shady with his pervertedness like Miroku is and would probably treat Sango more like a queen than that loser monk did to her! Another facet that correlates to her inability to think for herself and be the strong person that she was supposed to be is that she is such a sheep towards Kagome. How do I mean by that? What about that she constantly jumps on the "Inuyasha is unfaithful to Kagome with Kikyou" bandwagon and does not seem to stop her from abusing the poor guy? This even got to the point that she dared to use that God-forsaken "Sit" command on Inuyasha in the 160th episode all because he and Kagome had another argument revolving around Kikyou. The reaction that Inuyasha gave when Sango did that was legitimate, despite Kagome having full control of that power over Inuyasha. Sure, Inuyasha was not any better when he called her stupid, but that was what Sango was pretty much the entire time. She was really stupid for not thinking for herself and standing her ground, although she stated that she wanted to be with Inuyasha in the 52nd episode! One would think that with Sango being as strong as Inuyasha that she would go out of her way to stop Kagome from inflicting those terrible "Sit" commands on him. But no. She was much too weak and too much of a sheep to try to have anything to do with Inuyasha's tragic past with Kikyou. The kicker is that she, Kaede, Miroku, and Shippou were pretty much pushing Inuyasha to be with Kagome just because of those innate powers and nothing more when all they did was argue and argue and argue. I guess she just does not understand individuals like Inuyasha as she thought she did. Going back to her relationship with Inuyasha, while it was funny of how she and him traversed through the drunken mists of a mysterious forest and attempted to kiss him in her inebriated state, it did not reflect how she was going to shield Inuyasha from the pain Kagome inflicted on him. If she believed Kagome truly belonged to Inuyasha, she was darn wrong because she was too weak-willed to speak her mind to Kagome just because she was someone special from the future or some other malarkey. Put all of these negative sentiments I have against Sango and they can be boiled down to this. She cannot decipher the situation in front of her and she is a pathetic knee-crawling sheep who cannot get over her emotions or even use her skills to triumph over those said emotions. All these and more make her a very pitiful waste of potential for her to grow to be a more capable heroine. In conclusion, Sango may talk the talk of an independent, take-charge, kick-ass heroine, but she cannot walk the walk in the slightest iota. With her tendency to be easily manipulated by her arch-nemesis, her inability to shield Inuyasha from Kagome inflicting abuse on him, thus being nothing more than a sheep around this loser "heroine", and becoming nothing more than a breeding mare to a loser monk, she has doomed herself to a life of terrible Karma. And to think I used to like her. Well, the rose-tinted glasses aimed at her are off for good and for all, and all I see in Sango is wasted potential and a whole bunch of nothing inwardly strong about her, even though her physical strength did most of the talking. I am done liking this lame excuse of a demon slayer for life. I hope you all enjoyed my evisceration directed towards Sango and I will see you in the next submission. Take care and stay safe, everybody.

That's it.
Tumblr media
Rating: G/Everyone
Characters: Miroku and Kin'u
Universe: InuYasha cannon compliant, not HNY compliant
Read it in AO3
"Fine. Gyo can help me decide on a new name, if you let me take him. I promise I'll take care of him! And he'll be out of the way, he won't be any trouble at all for you or Mother!"
Miroku thought he should pay a visit to Mushin soon. Maybe apologize and thank the old monk for not simply abandoning him when he was a little boy. If he was half as argumentative and persistent as his daughter at her age, he sure was a handful.
He sighed. Maybe taking the puppy wouldn't be such a bad idea. It could teach the kids some responsibilities. And they would finally stop pestering them for a pet. "I suppose if the dog follows us home, there’s nothing we can do to deter him. It would be cruel to scare him away.” Kin’u perked up, he could see the celebration in her eyes, so he added, “But this doesn't mean you can keep him. Whatever your mother says is final, understood?" before she could speak.
"Yes!" The girl opened a huge smile and jumped over to hug him. "Thank you so much, Daddy! I love you!" The dog jumped and barked, picking up on the change of mood, and wagging his tail so fast it was now just a blur.
With some luck she would at least tell her mother that he had objected to the idea a little. It was starting to get hard not to prove Sango's point that he was being too lenient and spoiling the kids too much. He was never going to hear the end of it.
But as long as Miroku got to hear those words coming from his daughter, he didn't really mind being manipulated.

Karma is a female-dog
Moroha found the dance between Setsuna and Hisui hilarious. Never one for romance, she enjoyed the awkwardness that surrounded the pair. The boy was much more in love in the half-demon than she was him. Inevitable heartbreak, Moroha predicted. She also relished in the red that overcame his face whenever she pointed it out. In front of her father, his father – anyone, really! And he’d lash out with his weapon of choice – just too slow to make a contact; she was too swift.
So, karma had to repay the favor.
One errand. That’s all. A trip from one village to the other for mere supplies. Of course, her mother insisted she wear something less conspicuous. A frivolous kimono borrowed from Sango. And no teeth. Be polite – don’t say anything smart. That part was uttered by her hypocritical father – though his intentions meant well, too concerned his daughter would be harmed by people propelled by prejudice. Not that she couldn’t hold her own…
Which is why she didn’t mind picking a fight with a demon that she came across attacking a procession of men. They were no match for the gigantic beast but she came prepared with her sword, hidden well. Not even her father spied the piece as she slipped off. Nor would he have said something because better safe than sorry. Her mother would have opted for a bow. Thankfully, she gathered that, too, having tucked it away out of her father’s sight and grabbed it as she rounded the hut.
A rebel through and through. Seventeen going onto forever. She was invincible.
Her hair was done in a much more mature fashion – much to her chagrin as she had to set aside precious seconds to tie it back. Another man had fallen from his horse; another slain. She raised her bow and shot it straight – piercing armor made of bone. The beast howled and glared down at the surprisingly small woman.
“You!” It thrashed, attempting to grab her. Her reflexes were keener than its own, evading capture with a simple jump back. She wielded her preferred weapon, a sword of strength and stealth that matched her own.
It screamed as its wrist was sliced clean up. Screw her kimono – she doubted it was the first time the fabric had been spoiled with blood. Sango would know how to clean it out. She made another slice, aiming at its neck. Blood was rampant in the air but she did her best to ignore the stench.
For a demon so large, it offered little fight. She was disappointed to see it cut down so fast. She wanted something more. With a heavy sigh, she yielded her sword and secured her bow back in place.
“Not even a bounty,” she lamented as she walked pass. A corpse or two lay in her wake; nothing could be done for them. Her father would’ve pitied them but moved on. The living would attend to the carnage. She had another mission. Her mother would have a fit if she did not come by sundown with the desired herbs.
“Miss! Miss!”
She paused mid-step, glancing back with curiosity. A man of noble tier scrambled her way, traumatized by the slaughter yet having not a scratch on his body. He must’ve been important to be protected.
“Yeah?”
“Miss! I must know your name to express my deepest gratitude!”
“Uh…” she mustered. If she said her name, it could come back to bite her. Yet, what harm could it do?
“Moroha,” she decided to oblige him.
“Lady Moroha? I am indebted to you. You have demonstrated great skill and bravery in face of true terror. As a reward for saving my life from certain death, I’d be honored if you would accept my proposal of marriage.”
“What…?” she stammered.
“I am Nobleman Akio Inoue, the youngest child and only son of Chieftain-”
“Sorry, but no,” she rudely interrupted. So much for avoiding harm. She just insulted some high-and-might-nobleman. Would her father care? No. Would he hate the idea of having to deal with the aftermath of a man’s wounded pride? Of course. But he’d rather deal with that than send his daughter off to a stranger. “My father would not accept,” she attempted to ease the brunt of the blow.
“Whom is your father?” he inquired.
“Uh…”
Myoga had called him a Lord. And her mother a Lady. But she had always known them to be called nothing more than a half-demon and a priestess. Informally, Inuyasha and Kagome. She always called them Mom and Dad. Yet, her heritage may claim more rank above the nobleman’s if she took into consideration the demon hierarchy. She wouldn’t explain such to him since she scarcely understood it herself.
“None of your concern,” she eased. “Your expression of gratitude will suffice. Carry on,” she dismissed hastily. Her steps fastened and she swiftly escaped out of ear shot, though she heard him call her out plenty in her retreat.
She nearly forgot the experience altogether, grumbling to her father about the scolding she received from her mother upon returning home later than usual and bearing blood all over the borrowed clothes. He laughed, patted her hair, granted her his usual line of “could be worse” before walking off into the village where she was certain he sought to converse with Miroku over their latest job.
Or tease Hisui over his crush on Setsuna. Inuyasha found it humorous a slayer was enamored with Sesshomaru’s offspring. ‘Kid is suicidal,’ her father would tease. Setsuna wasn’t as warm to Inuyasha as she was to Moroha – distrusting of the adult half-demon more so for his connection with her estranged father than anything else.
Talks of proposals were long forgotten until one unexpected visit from a nearby nobleman had Moroha hiding behind Kaede’s hut. Her mother was alarmed.
“I’ll be off!” she squeaked but her mother kept her cornered.
“Why are you so scared of being seen?” her mother questioned with crossed arms. “Shy is not a word I’d describe you as.”
“Uh…”
“Spit it out, Moroha!”
“I SAVED HIM FROM A DEMON AND HE PROPOSED TO ME AND I SAID NO!” Moroha breathed all at once. She was wide eyed and panicked, much like her mother who exhibited the same nervous expression.
“What?!”
“I DIDN’T TELL DAD BECAUSE DAD WOULD – WELL, YOU KNOW HIM! SO, I DIDN’T SAY ANYTHING AND I THOUGHT IT WOULDN’T BE A PROBLEM BECAUSE I’D NEVER SEE HIM AGAIN BUT THAT’S NOT THE CASE!”
“Moroha, one trip by yourself and we’ve slighted a noble family! I don’t know if your father would be proud of you or furious!”
“Just hide me! I was never here!!”
“Uh, oh,” Kagome winced.
“What?” Moroha whispered.
“He’s caught the village’s attention.”
“No, no, no, no,” Moroha pleaded helplessly. She hid into her mother’s shoulder.
“I seek a fair maiden by the name of Moroha!” the man announced. “I was told she resides here!”
The demon’s ears twitched.
“Did he just…?” Setsuna asked, eyeing the stranger whose caravan arrived in their measly village.
“Fair? Is he talking about our Moroha?” Hisui chuckled. That earned a small grin from Setsuna.
“She must have hit him too hard on the head,” she replied. He laughed at her jab.
“She is cute… when she wants to be,” Shippo jabbed. “She’s a bit of a tomboy.” He spied an emerging figure from the nearby tree stepping onto the road. “Uh-oh…”
“What about her?” Inuyasha stepped forward. His voice was harsh and cautious.
“I desire to seek out her father,” he replied sternly. “I have business with him that requires immediate attention.”
“How so…” Inuyasha insisted, arms crossed and eyes set in a beady glare.
“It does not concern you, half-demon! Step aside!” the man cast with a strong arm to the left.
“It sure as hell does when it’s my daughter you’re talking about,” Inuyasha spat. His hand wavered over the sheath of his trusted sword.
“We don’t know a Moroha! He is confused!” Kagome intervened with lightning speed. She bowed incessantly. Inuyasha looked down with utter confusion.
“Priestess, you know this half-demon?”
Before Inuyasha could say anything, Kagome snuck a small glare his way. “Don’t say anything!” she hissed.
“Okay…” he grumbled.
“We know a Moroha!” Hisui spoke out. He was the recipient of icy glares from both parents and child alike. Setsuna was unmoved.
“What business do you have with her?” her cousin pitched.
“I desire to speak with her father at once!”
“He’s right here – what do you have to say? Get on with it,” Inuyasha spat, baring his teeth.
“Inuyasha…” Kagome whispered, tugging him back by his arm to no avail.
“In no way could a half-demon like you reproduce such a fine creature as she,” the nobleman sneered.
“Thanks for the compliment but get on with it before I part you head from your body, idiot,” Inuyasha snarled.
Kagome paled. Moroha shrunk in the shadows.
“Perhaps I can intermediate,” Miroku intervened. He stepped between the two. “I can attest my friend, though foul tempered, is indeed the father of the woman you inquire about.”
“I agree with Inuyasha – what business do you have with her?” Sango joined. Her hand was purposely placed on her weapon, ready to draw.
“She is my betrothed!”
“No, I’m not!” Moroha shrieked as she emerged from her hiding place. “I said no!”
“You said your father would not approve,” Akio mused.
“I said no and that he wouldn’t approve!” she raised her voice as an angry red overcame her features.
“Which I don’t!” Inuyasha joined.
“Get that through your thick skull! Move on!!” Moroha seconded.
“You are… partially demon,” Akio nodded. “That explains your strength and bravery. Nonetheless, I am indebted to you, and your heritage does not dissuade me from fulfilling my promise.”
“The hell you will! Hands off my daughter, you freak,” Inuyasha snarled, drawing his sword.
Setsuna chuckled. Hisui sputtered, doing his best to hide his amusement after a reprimanding look from his uncle, followed by his own parents who were worried by Inuyasha retaliating.
“This is one big misunderstanding,” Kagome waved off before retracting her daughter behind her.
“A priestess and a half-demon… such a peculiar union…”
“If you got something to say, pal, say it!”
“Inuyasha! Sit, boy!”
A thunderous thud followed, with her father planted on the road.
“Ow!!”
Moroha stiffened, never so happy in her life to be free of such damning beads.
“Sorry, Dad!” She squeaked.
“Why do you approve of such a match? Surely, I’d elevate her station, and bestow our children with a better quality of life,” he made the mistake of justifying. “They would exhibit a lesser degree of demonic energy as she or yourself. We could disguise that properly.”
“CHILDREN?!” Both daughter-and-father cried incredulously.
Kagome sputtered. “Excuse me, she’s seventeen!”
“He’s surely digging his own grave,” Sango sighed.
“Perhaps it’s best we let her father do the honors,” Miroku agreed. He wasn’t naïve enough to think he’d react any differently where his twins were concerned. They stepped out of the way in tandem.
“This will be a slaughter,” Setsuna theorized.
“I am not a cow to be bred!” Moroha squawked. “I’ll kill you myself!”
“No one is killing anyone!” Kagome disagreed. She breathed nervously. “I’m sorry you came all this way… but marriage is not in the future for you two,” she attempted to mediate.
“Is she already spoken for?”
“No! She’s seventeen and under my care!” Inuyasha growled with a raised fist.
“Oh, so you already prepared a match with someone of your likeness,” Akio accused with narrowed us. “I disagree – it’d be a disservice for your daughter.”
“That’s not your call to make and she isn’t marrying anyone anytime soon! Not if I have any say in it!”
“Yeah! Marriage ain’t for me, buddy!” Moroha copied.
“I wouldn’t turn it down so soon if I were you,” Hisui humored. “This could be your one and only chance.”
Moroha steered towards him with raging eyes.
“No one asked you, Hisui!”
“Butt out, you! Miroku! Manage your son!”
“Now is not the time, son,” Miroku meekly said as he approached his offspring.
“I’m inclined to agree,” Setsuna joined.
“With me…?” Hisui prompted, hopeful she was aligning herself with him.
“This one or perhaps, if he’s still enamored, the wolf boy, too,” Setsuna added.
“Enough!” Inuyasha bellowed. He nearly drew out his sword had it not been for Kagome who stepped in front of him, guarding him.
“Would you decline nobility and comfortability?” Akio asked Moroha.
“I do! I’m staying right here! Time to go! Good-bye! See you never!”
“Manners,” Kagome warned.
“Screw manners,” Inuyasha cursed.
“So be it,” Akio dejected. He pulled the reigns of the steed, prompting the horse forward. He passed by the family of three as he did.
“No offense has been taken, I assure you,” he calmly said as his eyes set upon Moroha. “I bid you good fortune, Lady Moroha, and you, too… half-demon, priestess…”
Inuyasha was tense, hands fisted, alongside his daughter who bore teeth as he passed. A real feral child – however cute she may be in her mother’s eyes. Kagome waved awkwardly.
“You missed your chance to marry rich,” Hisui teased as he joined the threesome alongside his parents.
“You handled yourself pretty well given the circumstances,” Miroku chuckled.
“Moroha…” Inuyasha warned. She felt his eyes burn into her skull. She trembled.
“Mom can explain!!” She squealed, running away.
“Not a chance! Get back here!” Inuyasha gave chase.
“I wonder what your dad would do if someone tried to ask for your hand,” Hisui joked to Setsuna.
“Kill him, no doubt,” Setsuna answered promptly.
The color on his face drained.
“Maybe we should pick our battles,” Sango warned – enjoying the terror on her boy’s face as she, too, foresaw his crush teetering on delusional.
