#i wanted to draw the other guardians too but this would be a good start #ok so #tsuna starts his band. yamamoto bass and gokudera keys and tsuna suprisingly drummer and also lead vocal. reborn appears out of nowhere-#being “youre not your full potential so i will drain you till youre like a fish in a dehydrator until you become the best out there.”#thats about it #but i just like how drumming singers are like extremely good music people because drumming is already hard. and singing too???#absolutely insane i might say. tsuna would do this (bc reborn told him so)#he does not want to be the best but reborn exists in the paro for a reason #reborn is like maybe a famous musician who faked his death then did whatever he wanted to do while he was “alive”. then he got tsuna as his #apprentice and so so. oh yeah also whiplash (the movie) reference bc holy shit its so good. for me at least. and reborn would make tsuna go #that kind of crazy. like training until drenched in sweat from morning to night or whenever hes available. bc he knows he has potential #he just need someone to push him beyond his expected limit #btw 8059 implied #gokudera joined the band first bc yeah then comes yamamoto for fun as he had to rest from playing baseball a bit too enthusiastic #gokudera hated him so much for like being dumb??? JULIE JOYFUL RWAAAAAA

Finally I drew Julie, my baby!! I enjoy her quite a lot and these are the outfits I think she’ll be performing in my au. I mentioned it before in a post that she’s in a band “Joyous!” with her siblings. Might as well say a bit about the lore, basically everyone from the “Welcome Home” cast left Home and ventured into the Real World. Kinda similar to how Barbie leaves her toy world in the movie. So yeah pretty much everyone started their own music career, but Eddie and Frank started a talk show together.

I wish I liked Wish :/

#I watched Tangled after and realized all the ways I prefer it over Wish #Wish was just soooo fast paced I felt like I was watching a movie on 1.25x speed. no time for anything to breath.#like Maximus in Tangled was Joke-After-Joke-After-Joke #*BUT* then rapunzel and flynn had slow character-building discussions to balance the horse that didn't need jokes inserted #AND Maximus didn't speak-- so the jokes feel more clever. I laughed out loud at him hiding behind a horse-shaped rock #and idk what it is about Alan Menken's music but he is just unbeatable to me #Wish's music was so ''non-musical theater'' genre that I felt like I was listening to a real music group's/band's album #and I don't mean that in a good way...#and I know it's hard for disney to take chances on new art styles but I still feel like Wish's water-color look could have been stronger #for some reason I felt the movie didn't have good composition??? like the lighting often looked flat #I am also fucking SIICK of the last 4 disney princesses having all the same ''yikes oop srry I'm awkward!!'' personality besides Moana iirc #ENOUGH!!!

truly do not and have never understood the way a lot if people are like i dont listen to hiphop because its anti-woman like your average rock or punk (etc...) star is not just about as invested in misogynistic posturing as the rappers theyre complaining about

So annoyed that the reason Encyclopedia Metallum won't add a lot of Metalcore bands to the metal archives is because they have their origin more in hardcore punk than traditional metal.

As if a hardcore punk and punk in general didn't play an instrumental role in establishing a whole host of subgenres and cultures within metal.

Like, I'm begging you to listen to bands like Discharge, Motörhead or Napalm Death and tell me, with honesty in your voice, that you don't see the clear connection between them and a whole bunch of influential Death, Thrash and Black metal bands. Especially Napalm Death.

Trying to erase the enormous influence that punk has had on metal is just bullshit, go away.

I just found out that the majority of the music I used to listen to back in my "emo phase" was actually nu-metal. I don't know what to do with this information

#like i mean. i always knew it wasnt 'real' emo music #i had friends who listened to 'real' emo music and tried to get me into their bands and i just didnt like them as much #i definitely was emo in like outlook and stuff but i was just into harder stuff music-wise #i always thought of the music i listened to as alternative rock or hard rock tho. which like. it still IS #but apparently more specifically its nu-metal. like. pretty much every formative band that i listened to at the time #im having an identity crisis now smh. was i actually... a baby metalhead?#i didnt even get into any emo music until AFTER my 'emo phase' ended 😔 im a fraud #rambling #disclaimer: i am aware that the subcultures are more than just their music lol #im the one that has that nearly 100k subculture praxis alignment chart going around rn with the funny ska addition on it #ive just been learning more about which bands are technically what (sub)genre recently and this discovery was funny to me #(apologies to any Actual metalheads i may have offended #by jokingly referring to myself as a metalhead for accidentally listening to nu-metal bands during my emo phase)#(...and to any Actual emos i may have offended by accidentally listening to nu-metal bands during my 'emo' phase)#(go ahead and laugh me out of the mall/skate park 😔 i deserve it)

Sometimes I have a rough time imagining what Katsuki would regularly listen to for music. General consensus is rock / metal music, obviously. But there's so many subgenres to that too: we're looking at combinations like alternative, pop, synth, grunge, electronic, punk, progressive...

I also listen to rock a lot. Linkin Park, Shinedown, Starset, Fall Out Boy, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Guns N' Roses, Mötley Crüe - it's my go-to genre, and you'd think that'd help, but LMAO I don't want my taste to influence his.

I could say that Katsuki would listen to at least some of them, but I lowkey think he'd also go with more local bands too; you know, like ONE OK ROCK, or MAN WITH A MISSION. Those are popular + recognisable Japanese rock bands - and lmao, the latter did Merry-Go-Round, the second opening of season 5 - but I think he'd like those bands.

Oh, and Rammstein. He's a fucking nerd who named his moves HOWITZER Impact and Strafing PANZER. (And to add onto his huge fucking nerdiness, I bet he listens to Sabaton, because I am 99% certain that he's a history nerd and that's why he's using Prussian / German terms to name his ultimate moves.)

He does like some pop music though; there's an occasional cherry-picked song among the multitude of rock and metal, but he'd rather die than admit them.
