MY FAVORITE TINTIN SIDE CHARACTERS
ARRGRGWHDHEH I'M VERY VERY PROUD OF THIS I'M NGL!!!!!!! I LOVE THE WAY I COLORED THE CHARACTERS, I LOVE THE POSES I DREW THEM IN, I MADE SOME DECENT COMPOSITION IN THIS ONE!!!! HATE THE EDITING I DID I FUCKING SUCK AT EDITING
Anyway, I'm going to ramble about these guys and you can't leave until I'm done ok? Ok.
First of all, MY BOY MY SON MY PERSONAL LITTLE DEMON, ABDULLAH!!!!!!! he is very endearing to me!!! But I really do wish we could've seen more of him!!!! He looks mischievous enough to sneak on adventures along with the marlinspike crew himself for shits and giggles!!!!! HIM AND HIS DAD'S DYNAMIC IN LAND OF BLACK GOLD IS MY FAVORITE IT MAKES ME SO GIDDY AND HAPPY. like no matter how obnoxious and annoying Abdullah's pranks can become, his dad will forever love him unconditionally. MY FAVORITE DYNAMIC. I MISS THEM SO MUCH.
A little note, even though a lot of poc representation in tintin is pretty influenced by the stereotypes of the time, and a bit of orientalism, tintin and the land of black gold is also the first time in my childhood where the words "assalamualaikum" Was muttered in any piece of animated media. It definitely wasn't perfect, but that was important to me as a Muslim child. Maybe that's why Abdullah and his dad hold a special place in my heart!
Next up we've got ARREGEHFHFHHGHJ!!!!!!! CHANG!!!!!!! MY FRIEND FROM SCHOOL WHO HELPED END A CRIME RING IN SHANGHAI!!!!!!! I adore him and his personality so much!!!! HE WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS AS A KID AND HE STILL IS TODAY WHEN I REWATCH BLUE LOTUS!!!!!!!! The way that the moment he was saved by Tintin in that flood he pledged his undying loyalty to Tintin will never not be sweet to me. HE IS SO TALENTED AND CUNNING, HE SAVED TINTIN FROM CERTAIN DOOM MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE LITTLE TIME THEY'VE SPENT TOGETHER, AND IN TINTIN IN TIBET, TINTIN SAVES HIM ONCE AGAIN (Tintin in tibet is also a very memorable and special episode for me) AND JUST-- ARGEHDBEHF I CAN CONTINUE ON AND ON ABOUT HOW CHANG SHOULDVE BEEN INCLUDED IN MORE ADVENTURES!!!!! actually Tintin has TONS OF CHARACTERS who should have been given more important roles in a lot of different stories!!!! Idk maybe that's just a wish that will never be fulfilled.... Still I can dream!
And last but DEFINITELY not least... THE MILANESE NIGHTINGALE HERSELF, BIANCA CASTAFIORE!!!!!!!!!!!! AGHHDHEHFHJDHV MY GORGEOUS MY BEAUTIFUL MY LOVE MY EVERYTHING I MISS HER SO MUCH
SHE WAS A HIGHLIGHT FOR ME!!!!!! AND SHE IS VERY UNDERRATED!!!! I love seeing how much she treasures her friends, how she's so dramatic about everything, how she has such an unapologetically loud and large presence and personality everywhere she goes, how she is genuinely passionate about her singing and her art, how she clearly knows her worth and won't settle for less from anyone.
Every time she was on screen she always made me feel very happy and warm inside, also I really like her voice!!!!!
AND HER DESIGN!!!!! ARRRGHWHFHH HER DESIGN!!!
I'm ngl, she was the hardest for me to draw. But at the end I'm quite satisfied with the results!!!!
She would be such an amazing friend. SHE'S ALWAYS BRINGING GIFTS AND BEING CONSIDERATE WITH HER FRIENDS, AND SHE WOULD NEVER HIDE JUST HOW MUCH PEOPLE MEAN TO HER
PLEEEEASEEEE CASTAFIORE I MISS YOU SO MUCH GIRLFRIEND COME BACK TO ME-
Anyway, the last picture is how I'd imagine Chang and Castafiore's first meeting would go. She as always, acts as sweet and polite and extra af as she always does, let's Chang know that Tintin's talked a lot about him! And then she would bring out some biscuits and pastries she bought as a gift for everyone, and then she and Chang would sit together while eating, and they get along really well, CHANG HAS A WICKED SENSE OF HUMOR THAT CASTAFIORE CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF, (haddock would be completely dumbfounded with how good at talking to Castafiore Chang is, and how anyone could talk to her for so long) but little did haddock know, in their conversations, Castafiore does a whole lot more listening than speaking, especially when Chang starts to tell his back story, and all the things that have happened to him and Tintin. After Chang ends his story, he looks up at her after a while of being lost in his story, and mascara is dripping down her face silently, her mouth is agape, and for a few moments couldn't say anything.
Suddenly she burst out loud, pulled Chang into a hug, and sobs after listening to the horrors this sweet kid has gone through.
In over a few hours she seems to have grown a strong attachment to this kid, she'll probably send a package filled with gifts a few months later, along with a long letter talking about what she's been up to and her wishes that Chang will succeed with anything he's currently busy with, and that he shall take care of himself well.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the small character appreciation I was able to share for some obscure/underrated characters! And that they will occupy your mind just for a little while. I love these three so much, tintin shaped me as a person, tintin made my childhood, I hope you have a great day.
Click for better quality!!!!!!

Do you have any comic recommendations for stories about pulpy-like heroes in fantastical adventures, a la Atomic Robo or Hellboy?
Those ARE my two big recs, which makes this difficult! Golden age pulp's unpredictable spikes of bigotry makes it hard to suggest to strangers as light reading, while modern pulp pastiches can feel overly self-conscious or just hollow to me (while continuing to import all the same old xenophobia.)
With those critiques in mind, though, I can name some more names.
Tom Strong is a 1999 creation by Alan Moore(!) It's not entirely free of... Moore-isms, but it's deeply sincere: no cruel twist awaits his science-action family or their casually fantastical alt-history.
Tintin is still translated and reprinted worldwide for a reason. IMO you won't find a more solid combo of research, jokes, action, and artwork in any other genuine vintage comic series. However, being written in the 30s-60s does show around the edges.
The Spirit, by comics legend Will Eisner, also dates back to the 40s. Post-Eisner, his legacy still pushes creators to get fun and experimental with format and storytelling. The role of racial caricature in the series history is a little harder to work around.
2000s Agents of Atlas is a team of '50s Timely/Marvel heroes. I have frustrations with its yellow peril "deconstruction" but do love the lineup: a secret agent, talking gorilla, Atlantean princess, Greek goddess, humanoid alien, and killer robot walk into a bar...
The Rocketeer is a popular throwback to the 30s that I find too mired in cardboard nostalgia to reach its full potential, but it's had some genuinely fun installments (and a movie!) so it's worth a look.
Sam & Max are mostly known for the point and click games, but they started out as comics parodying pulp adventure and I love their relentless cheesiness so I'm putting them here.
I also, as always, suggest exploring Franco-Belgian comics. (I think Spirou & Fantasio has decent English translations these days). The tone and formatting will be different; I tend to prefer BDs' longer "episode" length, higher density of physical comedy and puns, and more everyman characters.
And I'm always on the lookout for graphic novels which seem cool. Bone (which is honestly a very European series, stylistically), Bad Island, and Rapunzel's Revenge (+ sequel Calamity Jack) are some favorite one-off fantastical adventures I've picked up at my local library. Mostly from the kids or teens section.

39. Least favorite adventure from Tintin comics and why?
Congo, no contest. I started trying to make a non-racist pastiche version of it, but there's just so much in its story, visuals, jokes, etc. that just...does not work anymore. Even if someone can look past the racism (which would make me very afraid of them), they'd probably be unnerved by the animal death visual gags such as "Tintin wearing a shot gorilla like Mario with the tanuki suit" and "Snowy gets eaten by a python and rips his way out of it". Land of the Soviets is at least kind of fun to read because of what a noodley little creacher Tintin is drawn as, but Congo feels non-canon and is best perceived as non-canon. It feels like a bad early stage production that a teen star was contractually obligated to be in.
In my Dream World where there's a modern reimagining of the series, I would love to see Tintin revisit the Democratic Republic of the Congo, but with entirely different circumstances. Maybe Tintin is sent there to do a report about the local authorities having to deal with settlers' poaching. He befriends a local boy (with an actual dignified name this time; let's say Kinuani) and the kid inspires Tintin to really get into his investigations rather than just taking a situation at face value from a distance. Tintin and Kinu go on an adventure, save some animals, etc., and this time around, it could actually contribute to Tintin's overall growth as a character.

1. What are your favourite classics? 2. Do you know the Adventures of Tintin series? 3. Have ever imagined crossovers when you were writing?
Hello there, friend! Thank you so much for the ask and for playing my game! 🥰 These are great questions, and I'd be happy to answer them for you 💖
From this Ask Me Any 3 Questions About Myself Game 🥰
1. What are your favourite classics?
Ooh! This is such a good question. I've really enjoyed the headcanons about Black Clover characters enjoying certain literary classics that you've shared recently, and I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who enjoys old books! 🥰 To be honest, most of my all-time favorite books are classics. My very first job was at a bookstore, and when I interviewed for the job, the manager asked about my favorite books. His follow up question was "What about a book from this century?" 😂 I scrambled a little but eventually thought of some. I do like more modern books too! 😅 [A/N: Working in a bookstore was a great job! Sadly the store closed down and is now a grocery store. I feel a little sad whenever I drive past it... 🥺 Also, I work in a STEM field now, so reading and writing is more of a creative outlet for me these days]
I've tried to narrow down my favorites to a top five list for you (not necessarily in this order except for the #1 spot. The Secret Garden has been my all-time favorite book since I was a kid), but there are so many good ones out there!
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
David Copperfield by Charles Dickens
Les Miserables by Victor Hugo
The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry or Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol (if The Little Prince is too modern to be considered a classic)
2. Do you know the Adventures of Tintin series?
I have heard good things about it, but I've never read any of it, unfortunately. I've seen a movie adaptation but having never read the series I can't say how accurate an adaptation it was or not. 😅 It seems like a wholesome story from what I know of it though. Is this a series you would recommend?
3. Have ever imagined crossovers when you were writing?
Absolutely! More than I'd probably care to admit, actually. 😅 My sisters and I have always come up with the most random and most bizarre crossovers. [Some of our crossover ideas have been going on for so long they have a lot of lore and are too complex to explain to our friends at this point 😂]. Crossovers can be very fun to think about, but I've never seriously written one down before, besides during some silly writing games (like "Scrolls of Nonsense") my sisters or friends and I play from time to time.
My favorite kinds of crossovers are character-centric since there are definitely lots of characters I would absolutely love to see interact with each other if that was possible. One of my sisters has come up with some really hilarious and unexpected character combinations over the years, and it's so odd because I'll sometimes think of two characters from two wildly different things as "friends" even if they've never actually met (and had no possibility of ever meeting)! 😅

Hello, How has your day been going?
I saw your last post about people pronouncing/writing first name and last name wrong, and oh my god I relate to it so much. It annoys me so much when people pronounce the 'J' and 'E' in my name, you're not supposed to 😭 and no matter how many times I correct them, they still do it 😒. Or writing my name in the wrong way because the pronunciation is in a different kind of way. Like I know many people don't speak Flemish/Dutch but it's not that different from English and most of the name aren't that difficult!
Are you going to spend the Christmas where you are right now or will you go somewhere else? I am leaving for Eindhoven tomorrow to spend the holidays with my grandparents. I think the best place I have visited is probably Thailand, loved it very much. Which countries have you been to so far?
What would you say was your favorite tv show as a child and what was the first book you read and finished? My favorite tv show as a kid was the adventure of Tintin and tom and jerry, I still watch Tom and Jerry 🙈 it just makes me happy. And the first book that I read and finished was "Round the World in 80 days", still one of favorite and absolutely love it
— your secret santa ❄🤍💙
So sorry, I was super-duper busy, so only got around to answering this now🥴
The name thing sometimes really is annoying indeed! Pronunciation of my name usually is right, but always misspelled. In the Netherlands apparently Sara is much more common than Sarah. But even when replying to my emails, people still manage to F it up😆😆
I'll be spending Christmas at home indeed. Just with my mum and sister and we'll have two longtime friends over for dinner. And you?
Tom and Jerry is the best! When I was little I had a hoodie with a print of Tom and Jerry on the front. I practically lived in that thing 😆
I haven't actually read Around the World in 80 Days. Is it good?

Hello friend!! What are your top three favorite animated movies?
Hello! *waves*
Oh. Hmm. So many good ones so little space😂 😂
Into the Spiderverse is just. one of my top favorite movies of all time in general. It's absolutely gorgeous and I love the story and characters (and I'm a sucker for multiverse shenaniganery).
The first How To Train Your Dragon is spectacular, and the music alone is just *chef's kiss*. And like... Test Drive? Forbidden Friendship? Those scenes are So Good in so many ways. Plus I'm a sucker for dragons.
Third spot probably goes to Howl's Moving Castle, and while I do love it, I'll be honest: it's mostly because I'm going through a hyperfixation due to having just finished the audiobook (which was PHENOMENAL the narrator was so good and she gave Howl a Welsh accent). To continue the trend, I'm basically just a sucker for Howl and Sophie (and Calcifer) (Markl is fine but he's not Michael)
Honorable mentions:
Tangled
Megamind
Wolf Children
Spirited Away
Mulan

Just a quick question but what often gets you inspired?✨
Oh boy ehhhhhh - here we go to the never ending rabbit hole!!
Sometimes small things gets my attention like e.g. squirrels paws, unique red face of a person at a cold day or seeing chair upside down on icy lake (honestly I am now working on long comic about trolls inspired by that chair).
Comic art and animations inspires me greatly! Lately I have been inspired by animations gems like the thief and the cobbler, treasure island from 1988 (and other Soviet Union animations) and the king and the mocking bird. The animation process fascinates me greatly, how can one make smooth and imaginative animations is wonderful! I can't get enough of it all.
Also concept of kindness inspires me greatly. I have gone throw...lets say a lot. I love stories that show kindness where it is needed, e.g. Tove Jansson's story of invisible child. The child was bullied by their family so much that they turned completely invisible and lost their own voice, eventually they found confidence and selfworth in themselfs thanks to kindness of Moomins. I want my feelings to be seen and heard but sometimes world or people are overwhelming. Kindness is important, otherwise we will fall apart or at least I do. I am still on my way to be kind and understanding of myself and othets but those qualities are more important to me than ever.
Couple weeks ago I started to collect stuff that inspires me or I find interesting. I will list most of them below. If I am not saying anything about certain box, it means I enjoy the show/comic/meme/animal but cannot put my finger on why. Usually those make me smile and give new pespective about life. Somethings might be there twice because I am forgetful baboon!
Tumblr media
Junji Ito's horror comics are visually out of this world! But my fav is his humorous comic about his cats. It was so different from his other comics that I fell in love with it.
Emma manga made by Kaoru Mori. Usually I can't stand romantic stories but the characters but the story and the art works perfectly together in her comics.
Comics and animations of @cecameron are gorgeus and fun!
Tove Jansson's books, comics, art and life in general.
Rainbow Road from Muppets is my favourite song and I wish it would be played at my funeral one day. Its hopeful song that fills me with joy.
Entranta from Shera. She never gives up, I wanna be like her! I wanna see failure is part of the process and helps me get further little by little + its nothign to be shamefull of.
Ponyo's fathers frustration is relatable, also the whole movie is wonderful and colorful. Its maybe my favorite ghibli movie.
Scarr my beloved weirdo! The image was in the tarot pack of the grim adventures of Billy and Mandy and he is of course the hermit (which is my personality card)
@deep-dark-fears comics surprise me by giving new ideas to express fear.
Hugo Simberg was Finnish artist at 1900's. Symbolism and sympathetic characters of devils and death has inspired me since I was 8 years old.
Treasure planet is one of my favourite disney movies. The father son relationship between Silver and Jim is great and makes me cry everytime.
Hypnopotamus and Warren Stone from ROTTMNT. Their relationship is wholesome and inspiring + the show itself is fun, full of action and passion! I love it!
Tintin comics are almost religious in my family. It was one of the first comics I saw different from different parts of the world and how tintin could become friends even the most oddest (looking at you captain Haddock) people is marvellous.
The penguin my belowed ❤❤❤
Mörkövahti is Finnish children book that accidentally inspired me greatly. The world of troll like creatures, magical elements in the story and research of the creatures made me fall in love in the world of the books. I often love to read books for kids or teens, they are more interesting and I don't have to fear to be faced with rape, sexism and other nasty stuff.
Stop motion animation and expecially Arman animations have been always part of my life. I have soft spot for the pirates movie thanks to it's humor, naivety and animation style.
Adventure time is one of my favourite series and couple of things stuck with me. Some people are build different, you don't have to understand it but you need to respect them. I love this idea greatly and I try to live by it.
Pinsir is my favourite pokemon and it says a lot.
Mr Pogo and other smart ape characters inspire me greatly. No wonder new planet of the apes trilogy is part pf my movie collection. I am not sure why I love smart apes as characters but it always works.
Wander over yander whole concept is to be kind and help people out, I love it.
Peto was made for me by @elle-eedee at lgbtq trolls discord server. Peto ended up becoming my ultimate comfort character and I love to draw him and make stories for him. I loved the way elle-eedee combined my favorite things to create him ❤ also their colorful art inspires me everyone I see it.
@alioutfit blog is blog of style choices of man named Ali. I want to find my own style like Ali.
The murder she wrote is nostalgic for me and I wanna get into that series again! The fact smart older woman is the main focus inspires me. I love Agatha Christi stories too so it checks out.
Hugs + rottmnt. I love hugs and the show has a lot of good hugs!
Don Rosa's Donald Duck comics are the best! Those who don't know, Donald Duck comics are big in Finland!
Heikko Peikko (meaning Weak Troll) was stop motion animation series in Finland at 70's. Its wonky, basic and charming story of Heikko Peikko's everyday life.
The meme that made me less depressed
@foxing_around had wonderful comic that made me think over my friends over my sad ass.
Squirrels, I like them a lot. They remind me of my grandpa who loved forest and nature.
My sandwich with a face
Monsters petting each others! My friend has a lot of arkham maddness board games that comes with monsters. I like to play with the figurines, they are so lovely monsters!
Concept art of toothless from how to train your dragon. Why toothless couldn't look like this little ugly thing??? I would have loved him from bottom of my ❤
Kingdom of lonely bananas sign was at supermarket. Little imaginative ideas like these are great.
Pasila series is good stuff, it was said to be Finnish South Park.
My photo of snail ❤
WoY faces are glorious
The snow queen movie from 1957 gives me live. Its one of my favourite Soviet Union animation movie.
My photo of my special secret place at summer
I know only these two from Transformers comics and their love is wonderful. Truly I haven't read the comics...I wish I could tho!
Sherlock Holmes books are awesome
New ducktales series had so many characters from the comics I couldn't believe it at first! Finally I had my favourite characters like Fethry on the show!
I love odd looking animals because I am one too
Animal Crossing is a game I thought I would never play. It looked like a baby game when my big bro gave the it to me at the time gamecube was new console. He bought it because it had a memory card and he know nothing about the game. I tried it and never looked back ❤
The ping pong animation is my favourite animation series from Japan. I got the manga even I can't read it since it's straight from Japan. It's more about the lifes of the characters and how they grow as people than the game itself (or at least it feels like it). The story feels real in a way, that the characters are three dimensional and their reactions are natural. Some charachters stop developing as players, some loose interest completely, some work hard to be the best, some forget why they played in the first place and some found new ways to live their lives. The story is good for my soul.
Comic of @catmilks made me realise there are other people like me. The feeling of the comic is relatable and hopeful, things will pass and life goes on + make sure you take care of yourself.
Comics of @ stuffnoonetoldme made me reflect my life and how I see myself.
@diva-humon has good points of life. I realised I have very christian way of thinkin even I am not religious or have ever been part of any religios.
Suomenlinna, I loved it!

Rosehip tea, Oolong tea, Hibiscus tea, and Flowering tea for the Cafe Ask!!
1. Rosehip tea: Which book did you love when you were younger?
The one I remembered is Little Lord Fauntleroy and The Secret Garden, both by Frances Hodgson Burnett ;3
...also there were these two history books, one about George Washington and one a biography of Napoleon (the brief kind written for young readers, a part of series of biography of famous people of the 19th and early 20th century) — the one on George Washington had beautiful illustrations, and that's what I looked at when I opened the book (less of the text — back then I thought that the texts were long and boring 😅😂 (and it was written in an old spelling of my language so that's an extra impediment back then)). The Washington book was how I was first aware of 18th century North America and Europe (esp. in regards of how people dressed up back then — frilly dresses and wigs and more 😲😲).
Same thing happened with the Napoleon book btw 😅😂 (ie. looked more at the illustrations than reading the text), but with the Napoleon one I ended up learning the broad strokes of his life at least 😂 (early life in Corsica → military school in Brienne → some business during revolutionary period → brief expedition to Egypt → start of multiple wars (and him becoming the emperor some time in between) → first exile in Elba → brief escape until the final exile in St. Helena.)
2. Oolong tea: Which book series could you read again?
I rarely (if ever) read book series, much less closely following them, so I have nothing in my mind eeep 😫🙈
16. Hibiscus tea: What is a song you can always hear?
I thought at first that this question is about a song that's always in my mind, but after I read it again it asks something slightly different, so here it is...
This question is tougher than I expected 😅, because I get burned out of all my favorite songs eventually 😐, but the ones I can hear over and over recently are:
St. Vincent — Pay Your Way in Pain
IDKHOW — Leave Me Alone
Jon Batiste — SHOW ME THE WAY
St. Vincent — Laughing Man
IDKHOW — From The Gallows
Jon Batiste — Battle Hymn of the Republic (no kidding his version slaps folks!!)
17. Flowering tea: What is a movie you can always watch?
I rarely watch movies nowadays eeep I think I'll go with anything Makoto Shinkai (I'll go with Garden of Words in particular because 5 cm per second is just too heartwrenching to watch repeatedly ahdhdhndjsk lol 💀🔥) or The Tale of Princess Kaguya 🌙 from Studio Ghibli. The Adventures of Tintin from 2011 also counts 😆

For the character ask, Tintin.
First Impression: I think I watched some episodes of the cartoon as a kid, at least enough to remember 'Hergé's Adventures of Tintin' for years afterwards.
Impression Now: Tintin's one of those detectives, like the Hardy Boys or the Famous Five or Encyclopedia Brown, where I'll happily read a mystery containing them but they're never going to be a main draw like Sherlock Holmes or in his better days Batman are.
Favourite Moment: Considering I can most clearly recall the Spielberg movie, this exchange between him and Mrs. Finch is one of the funniest things in the movie:
Tintin: Mrs. Finch! A man's been shot on our doorstep!
Mrs. Finch: Not again?
Idea for a story: Those fake 'Tintin goes to Innsmouth' covers I saw floating around at some point are great and I'd love to see a full exploration of them.
Unpopular opinion: Honestly I think so little about Tintin I don't think I can come up with any opinions, much less unpopular ones. I suppose... maybe that in the world of 'detectives with animal sidekicks' I much prefer Mystery Incorporated?
Favorite Relationship: The comedy of Tintin and Haddock is what made the Spielberg movie in my opinion.
Favourite headcanon: Erm... Tintin once met Sherlock Holmes and Snowy and Toby nearly killed each other?

18, 19, and 20 for the quarantine ask, please?
18) What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
At the end of the day, I’m always going to go back to chocolate. Maybe fancy chocolate, maybe chocolate with fun additions like chips or peanut cups or something, but I am pretty easy to please as long as it is in the chocolate family.
19) If you could be a cartoon character for a week, who would you be?
Tintin! Without a doubt. I know this is slightly cheating because Tintin was originally a comic but I grew up on the 1990s Ellipse-Nelvana cartoon, VHS-ed every episode and rewatched it to the point where I had the entire thing memorized. I cannot stress how much of an influence this cartoon had on me as an impressionable child, to the point where I was going to apply for journalism school before veering off into music. I have a thing for going on adventures and solving mysteries while taking down the bad guys. It totally explains my hiking obsession and my tendency to move every few years. I love Tintin. Tintin is life.
20) What’s your favorite childhood book?
I really loved the Vesper Holly series as a kid. I still have my books, actually! Vesper Holly was kind of like an American, female Tintin, having all sorts of adventures, solving mysteries in exotic locations, and taking down bad guys. The author, Lloyd Alexander, describes her as such: Alexander describes her as having “the digestive talents of a goat and the mind of a chess master. She is familiar with half a dozen languages and can swear in all of them.”
