Well I gave the centipede in my bathtub nearly a full day to get out on its own… but it was still there then I got up today.

Moving them is generally a nightmare but this little one let me get it on a sheet of paper and sat there while I walked us outside. No lost legs or too much stress I hope, they scurried off as soon as I set them down.

Sylus when you get injured during sparring would be like a sad puppy who mistakenly bit your hand.

He'd scramble to your side the moment he realized his hit landed right on your face, immediately checking for damage with shaky hands

"sweetie, are you ok? Are you hurt? I didn't mean to- I didn't think the hit would land" his eyebrows furrowed so deeply you could swear there would be permanent lines. His eyes were darting around your face as he held you. When you'd lower your head to inspect the wound with your hand, he would mistakenly think you cowered from his touch.

"kitten let me see,- please" you could hear his voice breaking as he said please. His hands shaking as his thumb fluttered over your busted lip.

"Sylus I'm ok. These type of injuries happen during sparring it's ok"

"No I should have-"

" if I didn't get hit I'd never learn." You placed your palm on his cheeks to calm him- to assure him you were alright but he only looked at you helpless. He looked at you with such sadness in his eyes that you suspected there was far more to this than today's incident.

He would continue to sulk as he iced your wounds and even going as far to heal your minor wounds with his evol. This sulking and apologizing would carry far into the week until you practically had to kiss him to shut up

It's ineffable, my dear

With a content sigh, the demon slung his left arm around the angel. He snaked his head across Aziraphale's right shoulder and nuzzled his nose against his cheek.

"Whatcha doin', angel?" Crowley murmured lazily and pressed a kiss against Aziraphale's temple. He felt the angel lean into the soft touch, humming softly.

"About to put the kettle on for my afternoon tea. Did you have a nice nap, dear?" His warm hand wrapped around Crowley's and tenderly caressed the skin on his wrist.

"Mrm. Would've been nicer if someone had allowed me to sleep around his neck."

Aziraphale chuckled.

"You nearly discorporated me last time, when you turned back into your human shape in your sleep, darling."

Crowley grinned about this particular memory. He wanted to tease his angel more, but his silly thoughts derailed when he felt Aziraphale's right hand reaching out and caressing his hair. The demon hummed appreciatively and leaned his face against the soft fabric of his sky-blue shirt. For Satan's sake, it shouldn't feel so nice to bask in Aziraphale's warmth and tender touch - he was a demon after all.

But on the other hand. He had grown quite comfortable in Aziraphale's presence. Every soft touch, every kiss, every affectionate nickname had burned away a tiny bit of Crowley's millennia-old defense. Truth be told, he really liked the tender affections, and to be soft and vulnerable and gentle. If he ever felt the urge to be demonic, he still had his plants to threaten.

With another sigh, he closed his eyes and leaned closer.

I felt the urge to draw some tooth rotting fluff again, and the urge to grin like an idiot was strong with this one. Hopefully, it gives you the same amount of dopamine as it gave me while drawing it <3

one of the things i love about ebenezer scrooge, and a christmas carol in general, is that, unlike most fictional rich people, scrooge doesn't allow himself the luxuries that he denies to others.

like. he is enormously wealthy, but does he spend his money on good food and nice things and indulgences? no. he keeps his house dark because it's cheaper to not light things, he eats gruel, he barely even makes a big enough fire to heat himself, let alone the room. he scrimps and pinches pennies everywhere he can - including in areas that other people would consider "necessities" rather than "luxuries."

the story of a christmas carol is as much about ebenezer scrooge coming to realize that his misanthropy and miserliness is making himself as miserable as it's making everyone around him, and learning to once again take joy in living in a way he hasn't allowed himself since he was a boy.

it's genuinely cruel to ebenezer scrooge to compare him to assholes like elon musk and jeff bezos.

for all that he is a terrible, terrible person, at least scrooge isn't a damn hypocrite.
