Alright, I finally got my hands on this full ... presscon? cast reaction? Whatever.

I already shared some screenshots from this before (by some people on Twitter) and after finally watching the full version, I fell like I need to share the rest of the season 2 world building and character lores mentioned and discussed to you guys in here (and also major spoilers for season 3)

P.S. I could be wrong on some of the points here (either misinterpreting or not paying enough attention), so please correct me if I do in the reply section

Season 2

I'm still confused af on this line : "he killed his original body as well as his personality, eventually turning into the twisted monster that he is now". Like so, does it refer to Sang-won killing his original body in season 2 or is it about monster Sang-won killing the real Sang-won?

I still don't get this line too, so interpret it however you want : "The child covered in black?" "This is where what's remaining of Sang-won disappears, uncovering the child."

Chan-young was a baseball player. Ye-seul was one of the cheerleaders

Oh, apparently monsterization does still happened inside the stadium. That's why there's a regular daily checking. Anyone showing symptoms will be out in the isolation place (yeah that place where they put the sick mom in). Some lived, some died inside the isolation => might be why Chief Ji keeping her monster son secluded somewhere deep inside the stadium

Hyun-su cut Yi-kyung's daughter hair the same style as him, hence how they're being similar appearance wise

The live action crew is adapting Shotgun Boy into Netflix Sweet Home

Yi-kyung blames herself for how her child turned out to be with her monster-turning power

Yi-kyung's inability to give affection or even touched her child stems from the fact that monsters are created from human desires, so she didn't want her child to have desire (awfully familiar with a particular old man *side glance*)

Yep, you guessed it. These three (Hyun-su, Eun-yu, and Chan-young) are dense as fuck about their own feelings to each other (minus Hyun-su to Chan-young and vice versa ofc)

Yi-kyung's daughter views Hyun-su as her own family even more than her biological mother. Because they're similar and he's the only person she could hold hands with without her power reacting

Hyun-su uses red ribbons to mark the safe area for Eun-yu because color red stands out among the greenery of Seoul post time skip

The monster cocoons are shaped like a heart because monsterization manifests from human desires

The "real Jung Wui-myeong" is one of the scientists. Sang-won (or monster Sang-won depending how you interpret the earlier points) took his identity and used it as his own, probably to separate himself from his old human self

Lmao, not them calling Sang-won's family as family of evil and there's no good apple in it. That's so fucking foul

Sang-wook is still there somewhere (I already shared this one before)

Sang-won's original abilities include the Medusa touch he did to Hyun-su in episode 3

Season 3 rough summary

Family drama : Nam Sang-won starts a bunch of trouble (this bitch) in order to create a world he dreams of. There are family reunions and conflicts between spouses. He also meets his child (uh oh). They fight for her custody. This custody case didn't need a court (fuck, oh come on 😂). Yi-kyung wouldn't just talk it out. She'd fight until one is dead

Sibling drama : Eun-yu will meet Eun-hyeok again, but I'm not sure it'll make her happy

Second male lead struggle : Chan-yeong faces even more hardships as the story progresses. But even then, he gives up a lot just to protect Eun-yu. He starts to understand the monsters more. There's a lot on his mind as the story goes on.

More monster Hyun-su : Hyun-su lets go of himself and lets out the monster. But the monster doesn't just do its thing. He reads Hyun-su's mind and acts as he wants.

Another Hyun-su and Yi-kyung interaction : And later on, he interacts with Yi-kyung as well. The emotion it brings also felt huge. In the narration, he tells Eun-yu how much pain Yi-kyung is in and that he has to stop it all himself. So I'm sure Hyun-su sparked a change in Yi-kyung's heart. That'll continue in Season 3.

Here’s my rant on SWEET HOME SEASON 2 since no one else around me really watches it🫡 typos ahead

First thing first I’m not biased so practically all the characters pissed me off also I only now some of their names

*they could’ve kept a lot of the characters off my screen☺️

*I was so glad that the boy who pressed the button died he got on my fucking nerves

*R.I.P Seok-chan can’t believe they killed my man🤧

*all of the soldiers were fucking dumb didn’t have any common sense, Their deaths could’ve been avoidable

Baru selesai nonton, telat sih emang. Drakor yang tayan tahun 2021 ini masih bagus kok buat ditonton.

Youth Of May Mengambil latar tahun 1980 silam ketika terjadi pemberontakan GwangJu. Bercerita tentang kisah cinta Hwang Hee Tae dan Kim Myeong Hee yang bertemu karena kencan buta palsu di Gwangju.

Kisah cinta yang polos, murni, dan sendu menjadi hal yang menarik. Chemistri keduanya juga patut diacungi jempol karena kita seolah bisa merasakan emosi yang mereka rasakan, ketika bahagia ikutan senyum, ketika sedih yang dirasa mata ikut berkaca-kaca.

Sempet bertanya-tanya, kenapa ya cinta mereka bisa sebegitunya? *dasaremang Cinta mereka memang singkat di bulan Mei saja, tapi bisa membekas dalam banget sampai berpuluh tahun meskipun cuma bersama dalam hati.

Menurutku, yang paling pikasediheun adalah Hee Tae. Doanya pas di altar terkabulkan, dia yang paling kesakitan dan kesepian meskipun dia hidup. Aku nggak berekspektasi lebih, apakah cowok kayak Hee tae di dunia nyata ada atau enggak,mungkin langka.

Kasihan Hee Tae, menunggu puluhan tahun cuma pengen tau kabar dari persimpangan hidup dan mati-nya Myeong Hee, karir mentereng dengan harta berlimpah tetap meninggalkan kekosongan dari hatinya.

Sampai akhirnya, Mei ke-41 Hee Tar bisa bertemu kembali dengan istrinya; meskipun dengan wujud yang lain.

Setiap karakter dalam drama ini juga menyimpan lukanya masing-masing, dan bisa saling menyambung. Terus suka dengan kisah bromance antara Myeong soo dan Jung Tae, atau adik kakak Soo Ryeon dan Soo Chan. Dan paling sebel dengan bapaknya Hee Tae. But, overall setiap pemain ternyata punya peran penting juga.

Cuman, aku nggak bisa bayangin berada di kerusuhan Gwangju, serem banget apalagi aslinya mungkin, ya. Makanya, kenapa sih mereka harus ketemu di waktu dan tempat yang gak tepat? Huhu jadi sedih kan.

4 K-Dramas that make me go  ✨w o m a n✨

Today I present to you the Crème de la Crème. Beautiful, pretty, smart and unstoppable: These K-Dramas make me want to marry the female characters. I promise after watching these four series you will question yourself again what sexuality you are. 

Strong roles for female characters are actually rare in K-Drama. Too often they depend on the help and validation of men, are portrayed stereotypical or in unrealistic ways. These following K-Dramas are breaking the standard roles of those female characters and make them the heroine of the story: 

- Hotel del Luna [호텔 델루나] // 2019 by Oh Choong-Hwan, Hong Jeong-Eun // 16 Episodes 

Hotel del Luna is a story about Man-Wol, who is forced to care for a supernatural hotel due to a sin she committed in the past. It is a guest house for the souls/ghosts of deceased humans who have unfinished business on earth before going to the afterlife. Besides Man-Wol there are also other staff at the hotel such as the receptionist Hyun-Joong and the human hotel manager Chan-Sung. The story evolves around Man-Wol’s past life, her relationship with Chan-Sung and the development of her character. 

Man-Wol seems to be a closed in and out of touch character. She loves to spend money on pretty things, acts invulnerable and classy. Her character is strong and independent and as the story develops, we realise, that even in her past live she always relied on herself. The second lead character, the human hotel manager Chan-Sung, helps her to overcome the grief of her past and move on to the future, so she can finally enter the afterlife. 

It is an interesting, sometimes sad, mostly entertaining drama with a heartwarming story. If you look closely you can spot other known faces such as Sulli, Lee Do-Hyun, Kang Mi-Na and Soo-Hyun. 

Main Actresses and Actors: Lee Ji-Eun (IU) as Jang Man-Wol & Yeo Jin-Goo as Koo Chan-Sung

- Run On [런 온] // 2020 by Lee Jae-Hun, Park Si-Hyeon // 16 Episodes 

Run On is a simple romance drama without a big plot line. It tells the story about the average translator Oh Mi-Joo who lives a pretty normal live. Through her job she meets the sprinter Ki Seon-Gyeom who retires shortly after and starts working as an agent for his friend Kim Woo-Sik. They start dating and throughout their relationship they have to face different kind of problems and how to overcome them. The second plot revolves around the unemphatic CEO Seo Dan-A who meets the young art student Lee Yeong-Hwa who starts working on an art pice for her. They too start dating. 

Oh Mi-Joo and Seo Dan-A are really strong characters who have their own live and principles. Although having different backgrounds they both display an independent woman who cares for herself first. All relationships in this drama are pretty healthy and something we can actually learn from. Another fact I really like is that we finally see more than only straight characters. Dan-A for example could be seen as a non stereotypical Bi-Character and Yeong-Hwa’s best friend is a gay character with the difficulty of coming out to him. 

As I mentioned before there isn’t much of an exciting plot line but the development of the characters and their relationship is fun to watch and makes it a relaxing drama. 

Main Actresses and Actors: Yim Si-Wan as Ki Seon-Gyeom, Shin Se-Kyung as Oh Mi-Joo & Choi Soo-Young as Seo Dan-Ah, Kang Tae-Oh as Lee Young-Hwa

- It’s Okay to Not Be Okay [사이코지만 괜찮아] // 2020 by Park Shin-Woo, Jo Yong // 16 Episodes 

A story about a sassy child book author who moves back to her old house and starts working at a mental hospital to give lectures about literature. She meets Moon Gang-Tae and his little brother and starts to befriend them. Gang-Tae also works at the mental institution and lives at his old friends house. Together the three start to overcome their past traumas and problems. 

Moon-Young the child book author is a mysterious woman who seems to be sadistic and a little bit crazy. She doesn’t fit into society norms and doesn’t give a s*** about other opinions. Moon-Young also has a fantastic taste in fashion and carelessly of her surroundings wears what she loves (extravagant clothing that looks like she hoped out of a fairy tale). As the story develops, we learn that she has a lot of suppressed trauma because of her mother who wants to kill her. The male lead Gang-Tae has to deal with the difficult relationship with his autistic brother. Moon Sang-Tae, Gang-Tae’s brother on the other hand has untreated trauma from his past, that leads to him being mentally unstable. The plot line focuses on the trio who heal each other through their friendship and trust in each other. 

I really enjoyed watching this drama. All characters are interesting and have their own motives and stories. Seo Yea-Ji is a great actor and fits the role of Ga-Young perfectly plus she is super pretty. I recommend this drama for everyone who wants to watch something out of the ordinary. 

Main Actresses and Actors: Seo Yea-Ji as Koo Moon-Young & Kim Soo-Hyun as Moon Gang-Tae

- The Uncanny Counter [경이로운 소문] // 2020 by Yoo Sun-Dong // 16 Episodes 

This Drama is about a high schooler named So Mun who is lives with his grand parents and is a pretty soft boy. He becomes a “Counter” and joins a group of other “Counter” to catch evil spririts. Together they start digging up the wrong doings of mayor Shin Myeong-whi and his partners while catching an unstoppable evil spirit named Ji Cheong-Sin who commits a lot of murders around their town. 

The reason I included this Drama is the strong role of Do Ha-Na who is part of the counter group and becomes good friends with So Mun. She is the definition of a strong woman who is independent and relies on herself. Nonetheless she needs help from time to time to overcome hardships. Other female roles such as Counter Mae-Ok and Mun’s friend Ju-Yeon are also non stereotypical female roles with interesting and special traits. 

The Uncanny Counter is not a romance Drama but more so an action or fantasy one. It is full of inspirational scenes, characters and interesting plot twists.

9 Times We Had a Serious Case of Second Lead Syndrome

When your heart aches for the second lead 😭

K-dramas usually have us rooting for the main leads, but every once in a while there’ll be a swoon-worthy second lead who’ll make our hearts ache. These second leads appear to be the better match in our eyes, but the main lead gets selected instead, much to our frustration. Check out some impressive second leads who swayed our hearts and had us cheering for them here.

Han Ji-pyeong | Start-Up

Start-Up is the latest drama to be buzzing with second lead syndrome. From the first episode, Han Ji-pyeong (Kim Seon-ho)’s heart-wrenching story makes you wish for his happiness. As an orphan, he had nowhere to go until kind grandmother Choi Won-deok (Kim Hae-sook) helped him out. He’s the real author behind the letters that Seo Dal-mi (Bae Suzy) found much comfort and love in. While he has a tough exterior, Ji-pyeong goes out of his way to help Dal-mi and her grandmother. He’s got such a soft heart hidden beneath his cold words.

Kim Jung-hwan | Reply 1988

Reply 1988 had us guessing the identity of Sung Deok-sun (Lee Hye-ri)’s husband until the end of the series. The older version of her husband seemed pretty grumpy, so most assumed the husband would be Kim Jung-hwan (Ryu Jun-yeol). After all, Deok-sun and Jung-hwan clearly had feelings for one another. Jung-hwan was so cute to watch as he secretly doted on Deok-sun. Unfortunately, Jung-hwan couldn’t confess in time. While his character didn’t end up with the girl, actors Lee Hye-ri and Ryu Jun-yeol became a real life couple!

Goo Dong-mae | Mr. Sunshine

In Mr. Sunshine, there are actually three men who care about leading lady Go Ae-shin (Kim Tae-ri). However, Goo Dong-mae (Yoo Yeon-seok) is the one who incites second lead syndrome. They share a special history due to Ae-shin helping save Dong-mae’s life when they were children. Dong-mae has very intense feelings for Ae-shin which he struggles to admit. Ultimately, he does whatever he can to ensure her safety and wellbeing.

Baek In-ho | Cheese in the Trap

The main lead of Cheese in the Trap, You Jeong (Park Hae-jin), is a bit hard to root for. He hides his true nature from people, but Hong Seol (Kim Go-eun) sees through his facade. Jeong’s twisted and manipulative personality begins to affect Seol, but he suddenly becomes nice and asks her out. While she’s still trying to figure him out, second lead Baek In-ho (Seo Kang-jun) enters the picture. He’s much more normal and caring, which makes us want Seol to pick him instead.

Han U-Tak | While You Were Sleeping

While You Were Sleeping has a strong likeable male lead in Jeong Jae-chan (Lee Jong-suk), but swoon-worthy Han U-tak (Jung Hae-in) definitely gives us second lead syndrome. U-tak develops feelings for Nam Hong-ju (Bae Suzy) as the three of them work to prevent tragedies. U-tak is a true gentleman and never makes Hong-ju feel uncomfortable due to his feelings. He’s always there for her, looks hot in uniform, and has such an adorable smile.

Go Cheong-myeong | Hotel Del Luna

Hotel Del Luna shows Go Cheong-myeong (Lee Do-hyun) and Koo Chan-sung (Yeo Jin-goo) as Jang Man-wol (IU)’s love interests. What made Cheong-myeong such a strong second lead was their sad love story that began over a thousand years ago. Man-wol was unaware of how everything Cheong-myeong did was to help spare her life. While she wondered if Chan-sung was the reincarnation of her first love Cheong-myeong, Cheong-myeong had actually been by her side all those years.

Baek Gyeong | Extraordinary You

Extraordinary You’s second lead, Baek Gyeong (Lee Jae-wook), seems like a bad boy jerk at first. While he is the destined romantic partner for Eun Dan-o (Kim Hye-yoon) in their comic book world, Dan-o fights against her fate to find her own true love. However, even after Gyeong realizes the truth about their world, he finds himself still caring for Dan-o. Eventually, he wants Dan-o to feel free to be herself, so he let’s her go. While we’re happy for Dan-o, we can’t help but wish for a happier ending for Gyeong.

Kim Shin-hyuk | She Was Pretty

She Was Pretty stars the always lovable Park Seo-jun, but the character Shin-hyuk (Choi Si-won) gives us major second lead syndrome. Hye-jin (Hwang Jung-eum) goes unrecognized by her childhood friend Sung-joon (Park Seo-jun), but Shin-hyuk sees past her appearance and likes her for who she is from the beginning. Plus, he’s super charming and goofy, never failing to make Hye-jin smile. Shin-hyuk loves Hye-jin just as she is and loves her freckles and frizzy hair to boot.

In Guk-doo | Strong Girl Bong-soon

Do Bong-soon (Park Bo-young) crushes on In Guk-doo (Ji Soo) in Strong Girl Bong-soon for the longest time. Guk-doo is always concerned for Bong-soon and makes her safety a priority. Unfortunately, Guk-doo doesn’t express that he also has feelings for Bong-soon in time which leads Bong-soon to fall in love with Ahn Min-hyuk (Park Hyung-sik). Guk-doo is heartbroken at his missed timing, but he ends up having a cute bromance with Min-hyuk.

Lee Jong Suk’s roles before being a real life Public Service Worker

As he starts his Mandatory Service yesterday as a Public Service Worker, lets reminisce his roles in the past years that made us love him more; 

1. Park Soo-Ha as Mind Reader Highschooler (I hear your voice; 2013)

First on the list is a highschooler Lee Jong Suk who can ‘hear’ your voice by looking through your eyes. Park Soo-Ha’s tragic past let him gained his ability. Let it be known that when Park Soo-Ha got amnesia, it made me sad for a moment as LJS threw the line of “Who am I?”. Let me give you a hug, Soo-Ha!

2. Park Hoon as a Talented Doctor (Doctor Stanger; 2014)

In this drama, where he plays a doctor who was brought to North Korea by his father. I love how Lee Jong Suk dances and sings to Tell Me by WonderGirls in this Drama. And how exceptionally good on acting as a talented doctor that I almost believed he is someone really from the medical field.

3. Cho Dal Po/ Ha Myeong as a Genius Reporter (Pinocchio; 2014)

In this drama, he was paired with Park Shin-hye, an equally good actress. Even his character’s past is conflicted with issues about his family and having rivalry with his childhood friend who will eventually be his love interest, he aced showing how tortured his persona is. And I can’t help to feel sad that I can’t send him all the love he needed. :( Let it be known that he exceptionally shown how good he is as a genius reporter.

4. Kang Chul as a Charismatic Webtoon Character (W: Two Worlds; 2016)

Lee Jong Suk again portrayed an excellent acting skills as he plays a webtoon character. He’s charming smile, heartbreaking crying scenes made me love W. Although in the second half to the end, the story is getting more flawed. But lets focus on how amazing LJS bringing his character to life.

5. Jung Jae-Chan as a Future-seeing Prosecutor (While you were Sleeping; 2018)

A rookie prosecutor who met Hong Joo, a girl who dreams about the future. Eventually, Jae-Chan developed the same “power” with Hong Joo. Together they try to stop the dreams from happening. LJS didnt disappoint in letting as feel a sheer range of emotions. He made us laugh, cry, fall inlove.

6. Cha Eun Ho as a Charming Book Editor (Romance is a bonus book; 2019)

In this drama, where he ventures out in a role as a Senior Book Editor who loves his childhood noona. He’s unexpectedly good in unleashing his charming cute side. Especially when he argues his self for being immature in handling his noona’s lovelife with the Book Designer. I love having two Lee Jong Suks in one frame. 

As we start counting the days of his return, may he be healthy and safe as he serves his country well. Fighting Lee Jong Suk! <3

Q. Taeil, you are the oldest member of NCT 127, but if you were to rearrange the order of your age, where would you want to be? (Sato-san) Hmmm, where would I want to be? Maybe Doyoung's age? He's just around the middle of our ages so I'd be able to relax and spend time with the older members and the younger members. Q. A Japanese song you'd like to sing? (Wina-san) ONE OK ROCK's "Heartache!" It's a very emotional song and I think it would suit my voice, which is why I chose it. There are other members who love ONE OK ROCK, so we often watch concert footage together. I don't go to Karaoke that often, so I sing in the practice rooms (lol). Q. I love your beautiful high voice, but are there any NCT 127 songs that you feel good singing and show off your voice? (Haruka-san) "Welcome to My Playground." I think it really suits my voice and actually, it feels really good to sing it. Oh, and singing the bridge of "City 127" also makes me feel great!

Q. What's the secret to your soft skin? (Hika-chan) Ahhh~soft(lol). Actually, I don't really use too many skincare products. I use a moisturizer before I go to bed. In the morning I use a skin lotion and a milky lotion. I don't do many face masks. (Jungwoo: Jaehyun was born with perfect skin!") Q. I work in clothes, but Jaehyun-kun what kind of clothes do you wear most often? Also for this spring, what clothes would you like girls to wear? Please tell me your recommended fashion and styles you have been into recently! (Kii-san) I usually look to magazines or other sources of fashion inspiration, and I like wearing fashion with a lot of variety. Lately, I’ve been wearing techwear, incorporating sportswear into my outfits, just a generally simple but casual style that also somehow has a point of interest. For fashion items, I really like accessories and especially bracelets, which I wear often. Fashion I’d like to see from girls this spring is maybe cardigans? It’s starting to get warmer, so something light that you could pull over an outfit is nice. But honestly, as long as it suits you, I’m good with anything! Q. I'd love to know your favorite scents (Mai-san) For aroma candles, forest scents, for cologne I love musk scents.

Q. I often get very nervous and make mistakes doing important things, but Jungwoo-kun, do you have any ways of relieving your nerves ? (Akari-san) I've gotten much better, but I also used to get very nervous. And I would really worry about how to get over. But now I've changed my mindset and I think to myself "I am relaxed" to relieve that stress. I use mind control to gain confidence by making efforts to tell myself "I can do it!" Q. I have two younger brothers, one 2 years younger and one 5 years younger, but if you were to spend time with your older sister, what would you want to do? The older I get the less I spend time with them so I would love to know!! (Minaaaaaa-san) I also have a sister 3 years older than me, so when I heard this question, I remembered that I would go out to eat delicious food and go to karaoke with her~! If I were to spend time together now, I'd want to go shopping, take photos that would have lasting memories, go around tourist hotspots. If you were to come to Korea with your brothers, I would recommend Lotte World. I love the amusement park attractions. Also, Garosu-gil and Hongik are fun to go to as well.  Q. Do you have a recommended route for first-time travelers to Korea? I'd love to experience the "Jungwoo route" so please let me know! Well, first you wake up and wash your face properly….oh this is expected (lol). If you were to go around Seoul alone, go to Myeong-dong and have ramen for brunch, next go to  Hongik to take photos and do coin karaoke, then an escape room, and then Han River park to exercise or ride a bike, how is that? Oh wait, is this not a solo trip?! This "Jungwoo route" is also fun to do with your friends. Finally, the three tried the Gacha game by the entrance! We will reveal the contents of the capsules at a later date!
