if you're willing to share, id love to hear about your OC flange gusset cowboy extraordinaire (i actually just acquired a few cowboy OCs myself recently)

Oh you have opened the floodgates, but I don't even know where to start... I hope my rambling below will make sense haha...

Flange Gusset, Cowboy Extraordinaire!

...and the closest thing West Hinge has to an engineer.

Flange became an 'official' cowboy as a teenager, about 15 years old, but growing up on the ranch in the budding city of West Hinge, he's been training all his life for it. Genuinely, he's one of the most cowyboy cowboys who ever cowboyed. West Hinge knows his name—often as Gus, or, nowadays, Mr. Gusset, which he always tries to wave off. Everyone knows that he's a dependable lad. He works hard and is always there to help—and he's your guy if you every need a cheap repair or a little thingamajig to make life a little easier.

Family:

His mom is Mexican, so he had plenty of Vaquero stories from her side of the family. While she's proud of the man her Flan Cake (her sweet nickname for Flange <3) became, she will always worry about his safety as a cowboy. She knows the life is hard. Flange sees his mother as the kindest and most generous person in the world, and aspires to be like her.

His dad was an american farmer who didn't raise no quitter!!! He taught him the importance of true courage and loyalty. Flange worked the fields and did repairs around town with his dad growing up, which is where a lot of his most practical skills came from. Flange feels like he could never replace his dad as head of the house. He misses his dad.

He's the oldest sibling, so he knew he needed to get a job asap to help provide for his family. "Inventor" wasn't exactly a career path he could dedicate himself to, so he took up ranching and cattle herding—he took to it like a duck to water! (There's a reason he's one of if not THE top cowboy in the town at his early 20s).

Cowboy Life:

Flange started working for ranch owner Mr. Lewis at 15, doing your typical beginner cowpoke chores. His skills and talents weren't going unnoticed though, and he was quickly rising the ranks, joining the older cowboys on round ups and cattle drives. The other cowboys on the payroll are some of his closest friends.

Cowboying around gives him enough quiet nights during travel and time off to pursue his not-so-secret passion: inventing. He’s come up with plenty of doodads to improve the lives in West Hinge—in addition to doing repairs n stuff. He treasures his simple yet purposeful life, but privately wishes to do good on a greater scale, to invent something truly marvelous… but right now, he has a job to do. 

So he does what he can. He’s no doctor, but he tries to help in other ways. He respects the trades and rolls his eyes at big business. Down right pisses him off when those mega-ranches try to scam or buy out the hardworking little guys.

He adheres to his own cowboy code, which is everything in the unwritten Code of the West and more. He scowls at those who taint the cowboy name, but he won't go picking fights unless the situation is truly dire. He also truly don’t mind most outlaws, unless they’re one of the ransacking and killing types. He would much rather everyone get along and sing by the fire, but he isn't naive.

He's run into enough outlaws and wicked cowboys to know better.

Fun facts!

Flange's #1 horse is a beige and white spotted cutting horse named Chico! He's the cowboy who can ride him best, and thus does the cattle cutting. He's prevented his fair share of stampedes, to say the least.

Flange is scary good at poker. The man never gambles, and seems to hardly know what is going on, but he's never had a bad loss.

Flange can play the harmonica, banjo, and guitar. He's real shit at piano though.

Flange is scared of being well and truly alone. He's also irked by wasps.

En los primeros capítulos, tenemos a la princesa del infierno. Y su motivación.

1-Charlie tiene la buena voluntad de remedir a los pecadores, y eso es entendible en algun sentido.

Pero, ella la cago con su conferencia con Adam la cago literalmente;En otras palabras diciendo que solo cometieron errores y cantar sobre ello. (aunque toda la maldita serie se trata sobre cantar la mayor parte del episodio) no es una muy buena manera de convencer a alguien ue vio lo peor de la humanidad y es el padre de ella, que te imaginas si una tipa quiere que les des una oportunidad a tu familia y viste toda la mierda que te hicieron pasar a ti y a Otros. Obviamente dirías que no.

Se que Charlie tiene fe en ello, Pero no dió puntos validos en su conferencia con Adam. No dió ningún punto válido de ello.

Con ello diciendo que todos los pecadores merecen oportunidad de rendirse, me perdio totalmente más incluso cuando empezo a cantar sobre ello con dibujos que se supone que eran su presentación, no fueron más que solo una hoja con arcoiris y dibujos sin fundamento alguno, la princesa no dió fundamento válido y por eso Adam no se lo tomó en serio, es decir quien se tomara enserio esa presentación tan hueca y vacía.¿? Nadie, nadie se lo creerá.

Y cuando dijo eso me quede pensando sobre ciertas cosas es decir; ¿Charlie no pensó en las víctimas en el cielo a causa de los residentes del infierno? Porque obviamente están hay por una justa razón y lógica.

También tenemos a sir.serpiente y la chica bomba, la chica bomba es hipócrita solo se interesó en el por sus pollas (eso en un solo capitulo, que hipocresía), literalmente ella trato de matarlo en el piloto en uno de los capítulos ¿Cómo eso no es cuestionable?

Sr, serpiente pudo haber fabricado arma en guerra y matado a personas que no tenían nada que ver. Maldición, hacen como si el asesinato de esta serie fuera un chiste. Un jodido chiste y se rien de ntr que sufrió Adam. (Solo es una opinión)

Incluyamos a lucifer solo lo hizo porque Adam es un cabron -eh, visto ese comentario muchas veces en tik tok y Twitter.

Y mi respuesta es está, lucifer y Lilith estan contando desde su perspectiva que obviamente está algo distorsionado.

Sobre lo de lucifer el literalmente le robó la esposa de un tipo que era la mitad de ella, literalmente eran los dos lados de una moneda y luego dijo que se follo con la Segunda esposa en su batalla con Adam.

¿Cómo se sentirían?

Eso fue muy cabron, literalmente hiciste algo más lucifer, romoiste mas aún hombre ya roto.

¿Acaso no notaron las ojeras de Adam y la mirada y las palabras de angustia unos segundos antes de su muerte?

Y Lilith, ella desapareció y dejo a lucifer en su propia mierda que el mismo causó. Esa mierda se hizo por algo.

Respecto al cielo, Adam y Lilith y Eva, era mucho, pero mucho más joven que todos los angeles eso es claramente algo pedófilo si miramos bien.

Minor HOFAS spoilers ig?

The Walmart bonus chapter just leaked and good lord some people need to be for real. I'm so tired of people picking and choosing evidence.

So you're telling me that *gasp* Azriel's shadows seem to dance when he hums?? they react to sound/music?? no way. people from all sides of the fandom have been saying that for years (and use it for different arguments), and looks like ppl are still tying anything they can to feed their ship--which is fine but at least make it somewhat accurate.

The above is the last page of the Az/Bryce/Nesta chapter, and just as a refresher, this is the oh-so controversial phrases from the Az bonus chapter:

"(...) one of his shadows went out to dance with it (gwyn's breath) before twirling back to him. like it heard some silent music." and "(...) he could have sworn a faint, beautiful singing followed him. could have sworn his shadows sang in answer."

I'm confused, which is it? Was the shadow's reaction to her breath & the singing he heard all metaphorical, thereby hinting at a mating bond between gwyn & az (as in "music between souls")? Or was it rather azriel's shadows reacting to a literal sound coming from someone who has arguably been hinted at having some voice/song-related abilities? Because if it is the first, then this new HOFAS excerpt is completely unrelated. Well unless Azriel has a mating bond with himself? pleaseee make it make sense I beg. And if the second is true, it would mean that for someone to be able of making his shadows dance, they'd have to have similar powers as him... its just gonna fuel the lightsinger theories (which btw approx 5 ppl are saying means that gWyn is eViL) so this literally changes nothing. nada. absolument rien.

Oh also.

He literally rushes out that answer. Idk about you guys but to me the poor man still seems internally dead over the whole mate existential crisis, which as far as we know was left with him wondering "what if the cauldron was wrong". Sidenote but if I understood correctly, this all happens 2-3 months post acosf and Bryce spends ±5 days in Prythian, so it is very likely that it is all set during Acotar 5, and that the events of HOFAS in general are happening while Az is separated from the other MC (ie. the acotar5 FMC).

Regardless of all I just said, I am going to ask people once again to be for real. cause this whole chapter Azriel keeps glaring at Nes when she is about to reveal too much info, so WHY would he be mentioning Elain (or literally anyone he cares about) to someone who he is said to be highly suspicious of? make it make sense x2

So I am currently in chapter 381, but this is something I have been pondering since chapter 55 and will not have more spoilers than there.

What has taken my brain is the very stage 3 of "Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint", "1st Person".

Because it seems like such a rich innate shenanigans-inducing fic source but? Nada? Nothing? Rien?

I've been kinda exploring fic tentatively bc on the one hand I wanted to avoid spoilers, but on the other I really, really, really wanted to read shippy fic. So. It just surprised me how being able to temporarily merge with your companions in body (in such a way, at that!) did not seem to come up often if at all in most fics?

Like, it leaves me with so many questions. How does it even feel for the person inhabited? Since the first was Yoo Joonghyuk in particular, was he even aware of it happening and if so how much???
