GIANT MIRACLE!

Last night somebody(or somebodies)built an intricate 18 foot snowman of Paul Bunyan.As part of the Burgess snowman competition it won first place by a landslide!But no one has come forth as to who have built it,whoever did it must have done quite some work on this Ice giant as it is very detailed and looks life-like and is well…gigantic with the ice being practically melded together as if by magic.Whoever you are we all would like to thank you(and your team)for this not only is it the biggest snowman made in the county,but it also caused a rapid increase in tourist and sight-seekers visiting.

This Hubble Space Telescope close-up view spans a region about 30,000 light-years wide around the galactic core. It shows the galaxy's disk dramatically inclined to our line-of-sight. Surrounding its bright core, the likely home of a supermassive black hole, obscuring dust lanes and young, blue star clusters sweep along spiral arms dotted with the tell-tale glow of pinkish star forming regions. Messier 66, also known as NGC 3627, is the brightest of the three galaxies in the gravitationally interacting Leo Triplet.

To ignite the JP-7 for engine start, and to light the afterburner section, a liquid chemical ignition system was used. Talk about “unique!” The liquid chemical, triethylborane (TEB), had the physical property of exploding when exposed to air. Mounted on each engine was a sealed tank, inerted with nitrogen gas and filled by maintenance with 600cc of TEB prior to each flight. During engine start, rising fuel pressure in the fuel control signaled the ignition system that a metered amount of TEB could be injected into the engine combustion section, after the pilot moved the throttle from cut-off to the idle position. Preceded slightly by fuel, the TEB exploded and ignited the JP-7. Anyone watching an engine start from behind the aircraft could see the tell-tale green flash of the TEB exploding, igniting the engine.

There were 16 shots of TEB for each flight. This picture is of SR-71 960, which had a very interesting history with Engine Issues over its lifetime; however, this time, it Was Mike Smith as the pilot and Doug Soifer as RSO flying for the Air Fete.

According to their facts of the event, they never knew it happened, and were only made aware when a person on the ground showed them video. The plane was checked out, and nothing was found, and it flew a mission that week.

My speculation (and its only that) because I'm not entirely sure how it worked, but I believe the TEB was introduced at a throttle position. That position may have been stuck or had a momentary hiccup, and it produced a lot of TEB into the engine which causes 13 short but very spectacular bursts of flame. I also saw a video of this happening at a NASA flyby, and not sure if that was intentional or accidental. Robert D Hall ~his father was a civilian who worked on the SR-71.
